So can I go to Xianxia and not end up as a super ultra god who can smash planets with my dick by the time I leave? Cause I want some of those perks early in my chain, but I don't want an absurd power boost at that point.

You don't really see boils except on the coasts. A good boil requires, absolutely requires, fresh seafood. That's the great part of it, though. With fish and muscles that fresh, you taste the ocean and it's just glorious.

I'd say gator counts. Gator tails are nice if done properly. Have you tried any Creole seafood? Shrimp Etouffee done by someone with a clue is fucking orgasmic.

Yeah, that isn't going to work. It has something to do with the name of the folder, and priority order. I encountered this when I was trying to link the QQ drive to SB, all my links kept reverting to the old one.

I'd suggest either having the captain change the name of his folder in an attempt to break the link, or flat out copying and deleting the folder, and then using the new location which should be DD free.

Really depends on the offense, anon. Not all negative actions are equal in badness. If a poor kid stole from me because he was starving, I'd let it slide.

If someone was a straight up remorseless d-bag who regularly chose to shit up people's lives in the name of personal benefit if there was an alternative that didn't involve shitting up people's lives who personally made the people I cared for suffer, then it's time for war
>>
>>51150891
Forgiveness for people who can be redeemed, justice for those who can't.

I mean, the former still has to pay for their crimes, we can't just say "Oh, you're sorry? Then all is well!" because even redeemable villains can cause a lot of damage and do some terrible things. It's just that they CAN work off their debts, instead of being RIDER KICKED into oblivion.

>>
I'm a little confused by the wording of the Correspondence perk. What does it actually do?
>>
>>51151301
>>51151325
I was trying to give links to the QQ drive without breaking the rules, so I gave a link to the main jumpchain folder inside QQ's drive. But, it kept changing to DD's drive.

I eventually gave one to it's uploads folder, which, DD's drive not possessing, stayed put and working the way I wanted.

So, as long as it's a folder with the same name, will revert to DD's drive. QQ's drive and the one at the top of the thread both have the jumpchain folder titled as 'jumpchain'. That's probably because that's what Captain has it set as.

So yeah, try changing the name. If that don't work, save everything, and then delete and reupload it.

Okay, I have ONE criticism to bring up.

I think A Longer Stay should be +0 or stop giving points after being taken a certain number of times. Not because I hate the idea of being able to stick around longer, but because it could TECHNICALLY be used to invalidate taking the other drawbacks with the lack of a point cap. Or worse, 'max it out' and buy literally everything in the entire jump.

>But staying in a world beyond the heat death of the universe would be really dangerous/boring.

Yeah, it would, but that wouldn't stop some folks. Like me, for instance.

You have a nihilistic worldview, but not the memetastic straw man version. You're into virtue because you want to be virtuous, not because some authority is telling you to behave a certain way.

You're skeptical about the senses, but only in an intellectual way. In practice you're an empiricist who is interesting in constructing things based off of engineering models found in nature.

You're fun to be around, and your tendency to thumb your nose at power and be successful doing it will garner you praise from certain circles. However, flaunting your take on wisdom and your skill will ultimately be your undoing.

>Staying for a long time is a bad idea
I think you mean best idea. Infinite time is exploitable in so many ways, some of them are even in the jump like Cultivation.
>>
>>51151732

The way I see it, if you're willing to stick it out in a Xianxia setting for literally aeons, then you deserve whatever perks you buy. Not everyone wants to stay that long in any given setting.

>>51151783
Again, would not stop some people. It's not the long stay or the danger I'm concerned about (I'm actually okay with that and generally agree), it's the fact the limitless point influx would let you potentially BUY THE ENTIRE EFFING JUMP if you take that drawback as many times as possible, due to the lack of a cap.

So either the point tap should close off after a point or it should be a +0. I'm generally fine with everything else. This is less about 'fitting the genre' and more 'this jump invalidates itself otherwise'.
>>51151812
I'm not thinking about this from a genre perspective, I'm thinking about this from a mechanical one. There's no reason to take any other drawback and the builds can basically just be 'all the perks, items, everything'. I know Xianxia can be a bit ridiculous, but this actually breaks the jump mechanically. Can there at least be a cap on how many points you get from taking a Longer Stay? Like +300? There are ways to hide/survive that long a timelapse, trust me, and some of them are really easy to exploit.

I can't really stop you from disregarding this, but please reconsider.

>>51151827

>>
>>51151852
>somewhere where everyone is a Sociopath with plot armor.
So, right at home?
>>
>>51151812
Thing is it's rather impotent as a drawback. You can buy the plot armor and just train for ages since you're not at risk of getting randomly squashed. It also renders the other drawbacks pointless because there's one easy one you can take a bunch of times and actually get stronger for doing so. It's barely a drawback. Maybe have it be something like 200 cp for initial, 100 for second, and further ones don't give points. As is it's ridiculously broken.

That's part of the SB thing. They like things that are mechanically broken, they like OP options. Now is that all of them? No, there are a couple exceptions. Most of them are regular posters here, though, and this jump is a prime example of why SB jumps have the reputation they do.

In an attempt to defuse the current situation, I'm going to preview another one of the new items for the Showa Part 1 update.

One that people have been asking about for a while.

Five Hands (-600, discount for Shocker Rider)
You’re lucky, Jumper. You are now a proud owner of a copy of Kamen Rider Super-1’s interchangeable powered glove system, the Five Hands. These are a series of bionic attachments that can be swapped out at will. The first set is the Super Hands, which allow the user to perform an incredible punch that hits for the force of 300 tons. The second set is the Elek Hands that can channel up to 10,000 volts of electricity to enhance one’s physical strikes. They can also fire a Rider Shooting finisher called the Elek Beam. The third set is the Thermal Hands. The left glove is a cryogenic sprayer while the right glove is a flamethrower. The fourth set is the Power Hands that allow the user to lift up to 50 tons of weight and deliver a powerful finisher known as the Megaton Punch. The last set are the Radar Hands, gold gloves that can shoot missiles that emit radar waves, allowing the user to see further from the radar screen on the gloves. The missiles can also be used as projectiles or modified with explosives to strike a target. Normally these would only be usable by a cyborg with Super-1’s specific augmentations, but the version you buy here is designed to be used by practically anyone with hands that fit into them.
>>
>>51152017
I rarely do it on TV, but I do it in most jumps. At first it was just a nice thing to do, but once I started stacking powered by faith perks and I gained the ability to give my followers divine magic. . . well, lets just say it became less altruistic and more mutualistic.

So a few questions about Infernals and Creation in general.

1. How does physics work in Creation? If I was to custom/Devil-tiger/Heretical charm that would let me see more of the light spectrum would that work? Or does creation only have the colors we humans can see?

2. How many charms could I reasonably learn in 10 years?

3. How many non-named Yozi are there currently lock in Malfeas.

4. Would the Yozi get mad if I spent my first 5 years exploring hell in the name of learning more about about them and the Demon city in preparation of Reclamation?

Usually it's put through the wringer depending on the nature of the jump and if there's just nothing to talk about with it it's usually alright to drop it on the uploads folder.
It's pretty rough and ready instead of an actual process but that's the general trend.

Two steps.
First, make sure that nobody else is working on it/we don't already have one. You're in the clear there.

>1. How does physics work in Creation? If I was to custom/Devil-tiger/Heretical charm that would let me see more of the light spectrum would that work? Or does creation only have the colors we humans can see?
Creation's physics are weird. There are other spectrums of light, but light is probably not made of photons. Everything's animistic, there's no fundamental difference between an inanimate object and a manifested spirit that is too weak to be conscious. "Light" is therefore probably just a manifestation of the Essence of the spirits casting the light, which is why there's a difference between sunlight and any other light of the same "frequency". Sunlight carries the Essence of the Unconquered Sun, firelight or moonlight or Essence-powered lamps don't.

2. How many charms could I reasonably learn in 10 years?
Learning time for an Infernal charm is (required Essence) days for a Caste or Favored Yozi, (Essence x2) days for a non-Caste or non-Favored Yozi, and if it's a custom charm as opposed to a pre-existing one the time is multiplied by seven.

>3. How many non-named Yozi are there currently lock in Malfeas.
It's unclear in 2nd Edition, but in 1st it was said that there are 23 Yozi. 2nd Edition names 15 Yozi, so if the 1st Edition lore holds true there are eight unnamed ones.

>4. Would the Yozi get mad if I spent my first 5 years exploring hell in the name of learning more about about them and the Demon city in preparation of Reclamation?
Five years? Probably. They're kind of impatient. They'd want you to get out into Creation and actually by the end of the first year. Coming back to explore is okay, but you should split your time at a minimum fifty/fifty.
>>
>>51152661
How difficult would it be to just dick around for 10 years as an Infernal?

Basically the same process as learning the normal charms, except you don't have a template to work off.

So you experiment with trying to shape your essence into a pattern that works for what you want it to do. Dragon-Blooded would build it off their skills and the appropriate element, Infernals build it off the appropriate Yozi's themes, and Sidereals... do fate-fuckery or weird martial arts fuckery.

It takes about twice as long as normal (or four times as long as learning with a teacher).

>>51152440
>How does physics work in Creation?
Magic.

>If I was to custom/Devil-tiger/Heretical charm that would let me see more of the light spectrum would that work? Or does creation only have the colors we humans can see?
It might work...? Humans are just weak prayer batteries in Creation, so it wouldn't be /too/ suprising if there were more colors they can't see.

But I don't think you'd be able to see anything more because of the light spectrum. Most likely, they'd be entirely eldritch colors if they exist at all. You could at the very least see Essence and/or spirits with a charm though.

>2. How many charms could I reasonably learn in 10 years?
Maybe a few dozen?

Learning times are much shorter, but considering most exalts don't max out their charms in a few years... You probably can't just keep learning new ones the whole time. Need to build up the spiritual stuff.

>3. How many non-named Yozi are there currently lock in Malfeas.
There are 23 Yozis locked in Malfeas.

So aside from the 13 named in the jump, and Cytherea and Oramus, there's 8 completely unknown ones left.

>4. Would the Yozi get mad if I spent my first 5 years exploring hell in the name of learning more about about them and the Demon city in preparation of Reclamation?
Probably? Depends on what they want you to do, but you're supposed to be doing something productive.

They don't have time to waste.

Well, it depends on what drawbacks you take. But if you didn't take any, and you're good at gaming the Acts of Villainy to keep your Torment down, not too hard? Redemption, which is neither. If you simply forgive someone then they get to live their life with no punishment for their wrongdoings.
Redemption means they have to work for it, they have to try and put more good into the world than they did evil.

Personally, I'm at the point I don't really care what happens here or who's doing what. I just want this nonsense to stop overtaking threads, even though it feels like it has the staying power of a stubborn ox. Does that include giving them abilities that are basically variance on abilities you have , but that don't quite work that way? Sure.

But remember their powers flow from their nature, so they'd have to be something that makes sense as a magical item-absorber.

>2. Does this build look like a late Tank and crafting spec jumper would have survived it?
Looks fine. Drawbacks don't seem like too much of a threat to a late tank jumper.

The Rival's going to be a bother though, especially since you probably aren't going to work for the Reclamation... So he gets empowered to haul you back to hell/kill you.

>Time to continue the Bob Vela thing

>>51153113
Basically, yeah. Lunars at least can decide to do whatever the fuck they want.

Sidereals get more... esoteric charms though, so they're almost always /useful/. While Lunars are usually just "weaker than Solar", with not enough variance to make them useful compared to just another Solar added to the group.

Shapeshifting's fun though.

>>
>>51153270
Probably because the mods haven't cared about CYOA threads to begin with. If you ever check the /tg/ meta threads when they come up, one of the first questions to pop up is generally "why do we still let CYOA threads exist"

Most people have stopped considering them traditional games basically, so janitors are allowed to do whatever they want, and the IRC don't see it as a fight worth arguing over because at the end of the day, this community is really insignificant outside of /tg/ and even in /tg/.
>>
>>51153296
Point them towards the /jc/ IRC then, if she's there.

>>
>>51153287
The only thing that I can see being detrimental to moving to /qst/ is the lack of archives, and even then that's mostly used to find old jumps or dig up shit on people. If moving to /qst/ does mean the whole drama shit can die down slightly because everyone is held more accountable for shitposting, I don't see it as a bad thing.
>>
>>51153318

>>51153344
Modern 4chan has a retardedly narrow definition of what's board appropriate. The most fun you could ever have on old /tg/ involved things that didn't seem /tg/ related being spun so.
>>
>>51153379
That's still really insignificant compared to the rest of /tg/.
We get at most 70 unique ids in these threads and the other communities are still rather small
>>
>>51153391
He phoneposts. The shitposter phoneposts. IDs are useless.
>>
>>51153379
Speed is not something that /tg/ cares about, you need to understand that. /tg/ has traditionally always been one of the slower boards on the thread, and even /jc/ as the "fastest gen" pales in comparison to threads on places like /vg/ and /pol/ where you can get several thousand posts and a couple threads in the same general in a day.

End of the day, as "big" as you think we are, we're still a minority, and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone willing to give a rat's ass about this CYOA or any other one in the 4chan IRC.
>>
>>51153391
Well, some people like ASA use the archive to store their builds. Also, it's pretty good for if someone's looking for a solution to something without having to ask every thread.

>>51153461
ASA uses microsoft word and pastebin to store his builds though. He brought it up to another anon a couple threads back. If we did have people proactively compiling q&as and pastebin lists we technically could do away with an archive.

As it stands I don't think we're going to get any traction trying to convince 4chan IRC to do anything. If it means Red getting banned every couple days that's unfortunate, but it's just what's going to happen as long as this idiot decides he needs to flex his muscles.

>>51153418
He can phonepost all he wants. I can ignore posts, but if he's going to go around banning people for his shitposting, it just reaffirms that leaving was the right thing to do. It isn't the first time it's happened anyways.

Okay guys, things are being sorted out on IRC. No real purpose in more people coming by for now besides annoying the mods due to them having to explain the procedure again. Red's talking to the mod now and he's been filled in on the surrounding circumstances.

>So could cub of a devil tiger convince some sidereal to let them work together if the yozi hate the tiger so much?
Probably not, but it depends. Unlike the Solars and Lunars, the Sidereals have a lot of knowledge of history and occult stuff. And most of them don't... like Solars at all.

So they'd be more predisposed to distrusting you. Not to mention you're Outside Fate.

But, you could probably convince some of them. If not the majority.

>Also, how bad is it to become a devil tiger Akuma.
Not sure if I understand...

With the Akuma drawback, you can't be a Devil Tiger?

If you make people into akuma with the Perk/Charm, you put them through a horribly painful process and tear out their free will. So pretty bad.

Letting them keep free will by having both the perk and charm is better, but still painful to do to them.

>>51153386
No. They can have their own custom charms, that stem from their nature.

So, they can have powers that look like yours if their nature lines up with those. But they'd still fundamentally be Exalted spirit charms, and limited to how those work and what 3rd Circles can do.

>>51153333
>Character limits, you know?

>>
>>51153330
There does exist a Brass Faction, Sidereals who want to work with the Yozi. There are like 5 of them, tops, but they exist.

>>51153567

>>
>>51153576
I don't know, I don't really see how it's more efficient considering things like Word, Excel and notetaking programs like Onenote or CherryTree were basically made for this sort of thing, but then I don't bother with ever posting builds publicly, so there's absolutely no incentive to tracking shit by archive for me.

It feels kind of stupid to be arguing over whether migration would be feasible based on something like the archive, but I do understand why everyone is so adverse to conceding ground as far as the whole /tg/ thing goes. God knows we've seen this type of behavior on other boards already.
>>
>>51153567
A bit uncomfortable. I'm fine with being revered, but they don't need to take time out of their day to worship me. I'd rather they used the effort that would go towards all the worship to improve their lives. I help those who help themselves, after all.

>I have a god complex, take that as you will.

>>
>>51153567
It's a slippery slope.
One the one hand, if you can back up your alleged feats and actually feed on the worship, it's a pretty sweet deal.

But people tend to get very upset if they find out that their god is just some guy with a grab-bag of superpowers. That's when people start getting thrown into volcanoes, when you didn't want them thrown in.

>I'm not sure what that is... Battler G? Was that the voice in your head you wanted to turn into a 3rd Circle?

?Oh, wait. Driver. He's a Kamen Rider belt?

Yes and yes, he is the transformation device That gives you power armor based on a scaled-down version of your robot in super robot wars. He's available under the midseason upgrade section and the KRNH jumps all have options to combine your belts with other transformation devices so I've kind of been Merging him with all my transformation devices, it looked kind of ugly so I also threw him into the void relic refiner from warframe to smooth things out and empower him a little bit, he looks pretty cool now. we merged in the last KRNH when he became part of one of my alt forms since My hunting rig became an ALT form that requires a transformation device in Metroid.

Because to understand how they work, you need to realize that they have always gone the path of least resistance. This blame game behavior is equally stupid. You have a problem? You should be looking for solutions, not going around arbitrarily dishing out blame. If you say that this Alternative is the reason why drama shit has happened and the bans are in place, then what are we going to do about it?

If no one is willing to accept moving away to get rid of him, but no one can do anything about him, then the only thing I can see is accepting the behavior against Red, and by extension any jumpmaker that gets on his bad side, as par for the course, which is stupid.

Oh right, because she was using him.

Jacob was a lot better than anyone in that series deserved. I was Team Jacob all the way, at least until Meyer realized that the only way she could make it plausible that Bella would choose Edward over him was if she made Jacob a pedophile. I fucking wish I was kidding. The creepy part is that it's portrayed as something good. "Oh, Jacob will be grooming Edward and Bella's child to be his future bride, all from the beginning, so eventually they can be one big happy family, isn't that wonderful?" Fucking creepy.

It'd probably break their site.

This thread is less than 3 hours old and has nearly 400 responses. I'd be surprise if they got that kind of energy over the course of a week.

Plus people over there can literally just go 'lalala, i can't hear you!' to criticism they don't like, which is all criticism.
>>
>>51154114
Let's put it this way anon. This is like a case where an employee is working for a boss unsympathetic to their personal issues and their work issues. Employee in question is being harassed by their boss, and other employees see it, but the boss doesn't care.

Normally, if the boss wasn't the top in the hierarchy? You could try to file a complaint higher. Except in this case, we've already pretty much hit the CEO level, so you do have to care, because there's nearly no room for compromise anymore.

In real life if you run into a situation like this, you're either stuck in the job and you put up with it for the money, or you leave. But you can't necessarily expect your coworkers to leave with you, regardless of how bad the work conditions are, and considering she's a part of this community and none others, she doesn't really have anywhere to go. This job market so to speak, is amazingly narrow.

Right now in this analogy, the rest of the workers don't want to leave. They're convinced they can get rid of the boss, except the CEO has told them to fuck off. Unless the CEO changes their minds you're going to have to go by what they say. Sure you can go on strike figuratively and spread shit around, but that just gives your boss even more justification to shit on you.
>>
>>51154200
I wonder how SB would react if we actually carried out with this. They probably don't want this anymore than us.
>>
>>51154145
>>51154155

So its ok for a man to trap a woman into a relationship as a wish, but if Heaven stops him from having sex with her before he shows his commitment for real that's a no no?

She was naive and wanted to see the world, and he was lonely and wanted a pretty girl with him, of COURSE heaven is going to neuter him until they commit to a relationship thought the tests.

The scenario that gives the moon ship forbids magic, and magic items from your warehouse, and any spaceships you might have. Then you have to go exterminate or free a bunch of centaurs that have devolved under the harsh reign of AIs. They have an almost endless supply of ships. Like, millions of combat ships. Inducing supernovas are SOP for fighting the swarm. The amount of time you have to do it is random.

I suppose a makeshift lantern corp could clean house quickly enough, but you would need a technopath to subvert the AIs and make sure you got every last outpost. Oh, and I hope you don't butterfly an industrial accident because if 0.01% of the human population dies, you lose. Did I mention space plague, or emergent unpredictable AIs, or the hidden extremist psychopaths bent on reclaiming the ship that is probably your only way to bootstrap your fleet, who might just nuke the planet for funsies if you take it away from them?

By the time you can safely resolve that scenario you are far past the point where you would want the reward.

>>
>>51154263
SB culture is very different, where any criticism, no matter how slight, if not presented correctly, will be taken as a personal attack.
And they have rules about personal attacks.
And those rules are what the mods will use as justification for banning anyone they don't like.
>>
>>51154263
1. Only people willing to tolerate SB will go. Many will leave outright.

2. The remainder will have to be absorbed into a previously existent culture with plenty of members. This is the culture of rules lawyering, and no quality standards. We're not Syrians and we can't breed with each other and blow people up to force our culture over theirs.

3. Any attempts to alter their culture with ours will be torpedoed by their dedication and their site rules. 4chan's argumentative, insulting but honest, and offtopic nature are all part of why we're like we are. SB's mods would ban us all permanently for engaging in any of that.
>>
>>51154226
There wouldn't be that kind of lively community and that number of posts anyway if we migrated to SpaceBattles.
>>
>>51154269
Then accept the fact that your jumpmakers are going to get banned on and off because they aren't friends with the mods. That's all there is to it.

Maybe try to crash 4chan like "true anonymous" and cut off your own nose to spite your face?

For a tough guy like you anon, it doesn't seem like you've managed to fix the shitposting problem or the janny issue. Shouldn't you be getting to work on that soon? But then again, you probably just don't see it as a problem at all.

>>
>>51154484

Agreed. Honestly the fact she wanted him for herself and didin't tell him is inexusable. Also the fact that the literal demon told him instead of her is also horrible. Plus how horifying looking back at the first chapters of the manga where he behaves like a normal teenager is because immidietely after making the call he drasticaly changes in personality. Also the fact that Heaven, was the one that offered a reward and they still lobotomized him just because they did not want hibreeds instead of refusing or asking him to pick something different. And how selfing Bellandy is, still trying to get him even though she knows he was literally mindfucking him.
>>
>>51154526
I've honestly never run into issues with SB's mods or policies. I mean I even occasionally talk about the drama here and I don't get into any shit for it. Even criticizing and pointing out flaws with jumps hasn't seen any problems from either the mods or the other posters, though I generally limit my input and focus on google docs when I can. I don't think they'd tolerate lelilolul posting, but then again if you try that here you'll probably get banned for spam too.

personally I can easily see why a naive goddess wanting to live in the human world might just keep that a secret to keep herself safe. Most noble thing to do? No, but she had no consent to be in the situation.

You are ignoring the entire context of the situation and of course you are, you've pretty much admitted you haven't read the manga and are going off /a/ salt alone.
>>
>>51154678
Because I'm not talking about him. I'm talking about her. Stop trying to change the subject to defend your waifu.
>>
>>51154591
She's a goddess, and a rather powerful one at that.
I rather doubt he could have forced himself on her even if he was so inclined.
Which i doubt, given that he's canonically kind of a doormat.
Not to mention that preemptive mental castration doesn't really seem like a reasonable response even if there was cause to worry about it.
>>51154610
The question is, is he even still capable of making that decision (forgiving her) of his own free will?
We already know his mind is affected. Who's saying that Belldandy loving him doesn't automatically mean he has no choice but to love her back and forgive her?
>>
>>51154645
The mods have always been fine with having select threads as punching bags. See starcraft general in /vg/ for one of the best examples. Some threads are literally made just so a mod can eventually fuck around with people inside it and ban the thread.

Is it unfortunate to be on the receiving end? Sure, but that's just how things work.

Manga, especially shoujo manga, has never been known for realism. You might as well argue why Pokemon is a violation against animal rights, or why Naruto isn't an accurate reflection of war and its effects on humanity, or why Bleach doesn't properly reflect the racism and prejudice of mankind.

>>51155128
If you want to directly contradict the spirit of the work in order to advocate your own views on relationships, you do your thing.
>>
>>51155001
So Akane is being abusive to Ranma and Ryouga and Mouse should be in prison for murder attempts?

I mean if we don't ignore the context of said anime its rather easy to paint them all as terrible people.
>>
>>51155150
I've been meaning to ask this myself. Same with the perk in Ghost Rider.
Mostly because I want to know if I have to store intristic things inside myself because saving someone by buying their terminal cancer would be a much smarter move if it didn't also kill me.
>>
>>51155159
What is the spirit? It's okay to lead someone on for years if you love him in the end? What a terrible lesson.

What do we even do besides ignore it? We've already got a handful of anons listing out the reasons why we can't leave for anywhere else, no one seems to have a way to remove Timmy permanently that hasn't been "pray for the mods to stand on jc's side". Are we just going to have a shitstorm in this thread whenever Timmy bans Red? Isn't that exactly what he wants to begin with?
>>
>>51155208
That is for certain. He must loving the response he is getting right now,
>>
>>51155199
Is it ok to keep someone you just met with you because they can't leave because of a wish?
>>
>>51155199
The spirit being that even if a relationship is arranged by divine intervention, it still requires commitment and trust between both parties for anything to actually work. If you want to read into it by overlapping the author's personal life or your personal life and say that you're Keiichi and the person who jilted you is Belldandy, that's your interpretation.

It isn't even a lesson, it's a motif that the author constantly uses in his work. He isn't out to educate people, he's there to entertain a very niche audience, and it's pretty clear that you aren't part of that audience. Why do you even want to continue discussing something that you obviously just want to shit on instead?
>>
>>51155265
To be fair, he didn't specifically wish for her, just a girl like her.
>>
>>51155265
Two wrongs don't make a right.

>>51155272
>Commitment and trust
>Lie to a guy and lead him on for years
>>
>>51155278
Sure, but that is beside the point.
>>
>>51155208
Here's an idea. Lets wait a week for Red to come back and see what she has to say about it.
If she keeps getting banned for no reason that's a problem, but if there's any kind of explanation at all she'd be the one that knows.
At the absolute worst she can learn how to ban evade.
>>
>>51155301
>Two wrongs don't make a right.

When you start acting like it was terrible in the first place I will believe you. But right now this sounds more like you wanting to not talk about the context of the series you wish to judge someone in.
>>
>>51155339
I'm not trying to discuss him because it's not the point. Life doesn't work in such a way that you need to be equally concerned about every problem and address both of them at the same time in any argument.
>>
>>51155301
Yes anon, there are multiple sides to a relationship, and the lack of trust still involves trust regardless. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you've had a relationship before, I'm pretty sure you didn't tell your SO everything about you on day one, and you probably lied about plenty of shit that you thought was innocuous as well.

People lie in relationships. That's a fact anon, one that you should probably just accept. You're not going to magically condition other people not to lie, especially if they think they're lying for your own good.
>>
>>51155349
>I'm not trying to discuss him because it's not the point.

But its part of the context of why she choose to do what she did. You can't sit here and claim how terrible this was on her part without discussing the situation she was in when she made the decision!
>>
>>51155398
She didn't even tell him once she DID love him, for fuck's sake.
>>
>>51155386
You can't have a successful relationship that's founded on a bunch of lies and manipulations. That kinda shit falls apart. Especially if that lie is about how you're being castrated.
>>
>>51155386
>Manga isn't realistic
>Now let me talk about realistic relationships
>>
>>51155316
I do believe this is sensible. Anyways it seems that there are no immediate answers on where to try and move a new board anyways.
If the worst comes to worst at least it gives people more time to decide where to go.
Honestly though I hope there is a way to stay on 4chan, any sort of move will mean loosing people; and that's going to suck. We aren't exactly a huge community as it is.
>>
>>51155419
See, now you're once again placing your own standards of what a relationship should be onto other people, even fictional characters at that. You've put in arbitrary counters of what needs to be done and what can't ever be done in order for a relationship to hit acceptance for you. This is ridiculous. Are you going to ask your SO to tell you that they love you at least X times a day in order to prove that you have an ongoing relationship?
>>
>>51155419
Well thats a non-sequitur out of nowhere. But tell me, why is that anon? I mean you've read her explanation right?
>>
>>51155491
>It's unreasonable to expect honesty from a relationship
You're hideously maladjusted senpai.

>>51155498
Fear and selfishness isn't a good excuse to use someone.
>>
itt: Belldandy waifufags.
>>
>>51155485
She just came back after a three day ban today. What's the point? She'll just get banned again.
>>
>>51155464
He's insisting that this manga is realistic, and since he's the expert on relationships and this manga, we have to go by what he says.
>>
>>51154181
Hey now, remember how they worded the imprinting.

It was along the lines of you will be neaything they wanted. From a big brother to that cool older guy friend, imprinting is more of a 'partners for life' kind of deal, rather than 'romance and sex' as people understand it as.

Btw, I'm not trying to defend Meyer. Shill and shit writing.

Why the fuck do they sparkle?
>>
>>51155316
She's been banned before. For no good reason. Many people here have been banned before for trying to get rid of the shitposter. There's not gonna be any "explanation".
>>
>>51155491
Wanna know how you can tell you've never had a long term relationship? Your inability to rank how important things are is just the start.
>>
>>51155526
And if she gets banned again that's a pattern.
Then we'll work something out. Whatever it is.
Because right now other mods know what's happening and can pay attention to it.
The first time nobody said shit, but now it's different.
>>
>>51155515
That's not answering the question anon. You do know what she said right?

And keep in mind none of this changes the fact you refuse to look at the context of the situation and in doing so have no problem with her being forced into said situation of no free will of her own.
>>
>>51155553
I reported it with the mod feedback function. Other people said they went to IRC last time. Nobody fucking cares. Deal with it.
>>
>>51155560
>You won't argue with me about the thing I care about more, that means you hold a view I don't like.
>>
>>51155565
SB shill.
>>
>>51155515
It is, in fact, unreasonable to expect other people to behave strictly how you think they should behave. You can try to predict how they might behave, you can assume they'll want some things over others, but you can't just say "everybody should be honest in relationships because that's what everyone should value". People go into relationships looking for different things, and there's a fair likelihood that these don't always match up.

Why does everything need to have a good excuse anyways? Is life just about finding the perfect excuses and doing everything in a logical, reasonable fashion to you?
>>
>>51155515
Can I have your opinion on this? >>51155165
>>
>>51155546
This is amusing how shitposting about /a/ anime critique has spiraled into anons shitposting each other about long term relationships when most people here probably aren't even at mid life crisis point yet.

Even out of the jumpmakers I think there's only like two that are married.
>>
>>51155603
It isn't the least bit unreasonable to expect honesty. That's part of what makes relationships work. If you're dating someone and turns out they have herpes, isn't it unreasonable to expect them to tell you about it? What if it's cancer? What if your wife disappears for a week? Is it unreasonable to expect her to tell you she was at her mother's funeral across the country and not getting plastered and plowed in Vegas? Is it unreasonable to expect a girl to tell you that heaven is actively altering your brain while you're with her? Stop comparing major shit like to this "Oh he lied about liking her cooking teehee."
>>
>>51155565
Alternative seemed to care quite a bit when I talked to him.
I think you've probably got an agenda.
>>
>51152834
I imported all my Ship Girls as Meltrandei in the Macross Jump.

Man, it was awesome of Red that she added that import option.
>>
>>51155579
That comment sums both of you up right now. You've pretty much both hit the same place in the special olympics, except one guy is defending an animu character whereas the other is attacking an animu character.
>>
>>51155655
Not enough to overturn the ban.

Am I talking to Alternative right now? Are you anti-red, Alternative?
>>
>>51155603
No honesty =/= no trust =/= your marriage won't work because you don't trust him when it comes down to things that matter, or else he'll eventually find out and your marriage will fall apart even over something he could've tolerated if informed.
>>
>>51155673
No I'm not alternative, but I've been anti red before.
>>
>>51155689
You're the fakest motherfucker in this thread desu.
>>
>>51155688
Well yeah that's kind of the point. This was a major flaw in their relationship and is one they have to work through.
>>
>>51155655
Just stop. Red is banned, the ban stands, and you arguing with him over whether the mods care won't change that. The only thing you're doing right now is encouraging the shitposting, and while the animefags over there are doing the exact same thing, at least they're just biting each other's heads off over something with no consequence at all. Nothing that you say right now will convince the anon, and every shitpost just makes your Timmy happier.
>>
>>51154607
What happened to your 'working things out', anon?
>>
>>51155708

Responding to bait is great for post counts, and that's about it. Go take a look at some other boards to see what it does. If you're looking for a good example, go back in /vg/'s archives and read through some of their threads, especially the ones that have nothing but shitposting in them.

Responding to bait is also pretty much /jc/'s culture by now, so it's just the standard.

>>
>>51155892
Just stop forcing it. People don't want to go to any forum, because they'll lose what anonymity they had, and they can't shitpost. Regardless of what people say, they do want to shitpost here, the freedom to post whatever they want however they want is part of this place's appeal to them.
>>
>>51155865
Nice lies.
>>
>>51155922
I'm not anti red though. He has apparantly been posting in this thread, but I don't really believe it's him.
You've got the wrong guy dumbass.
>>
>>51155918
YJ_Anon, I have a question about the Spirit of Justice thing. What's the difference between Heavenfire and Hellfire, aside from the obvious? Could I use it to hit the evil while bypassing the innocent? Like, say, I'm trying to fight a villain, and he takes a hostage, can I use heavenfire to only burn him while leaving the hostage unharmed?
>>
>>51155895
But if you respond to bait as a reasonable adult, you're improving the overall quality of the thread by 1) not getting ass-blasted like the baiter wants, 2) not spamming the thread with meaningless "hurr durr shitposter" and bait macros, and 3) informing (and possibly inspiring) current and future thread participants.

Obviously the shitposter sometimes responds to himself, but for the most part you're literally stealing his ammo and re-purposing it for better ends.
>>
>>51155915
Yes, because song science isn't how their reality works, it will only work for them via the mechanics of your tower which operates by fiat.
>>
>>51155943
Why don't you go ask her?
She's in IRC right now. Nothing is stopping you.

>>
>>51155949

>>
>>51155919
Thanks brosef.
>>
>>51155964
>But if you respond to bait as a reasonable adult
Do you really expect the majority of the thread to act like reasonable adults? Especially when it's more fun for some folks to shitpost? There's no consequence to a lot of these people if the community falls apart, they'll just leave to find a new hobby.
>>
>>51155969
Rats. I was hoping to teach people Song Science as a sign of being a benevolent alien, but building a Tower in order to do so would probably cause them to not trust me or at least be suspicious. Though, if I gain their trust, first...

Alright, let's say I plant the Tower on Earth, what do I need to do from there to teach them Song Science?

I wonder if I could cure the archangel Avacyn from her madness. I have a few perks for that. It would save a lot of trouble for that world right?
>>
>>51156008
Grant them song server access and implant a device that pings the song server into the individual, basically. That's the basics, if you want them to function as Reyvateil do you have to import song science methodology that's been long dead by the time of Ar Tonelico. You might have to nab the tech from Ar Ciel or Ar Nosurge jumps when those are finished.
>>
>>51156063
That's really helpful, actually. Right, so, the basics should be fine for now, though I might grab some stuff from Ar Ciel or Ar Nosurge if/when they get made. Thanks, anon.
>>
>>51155987
...Doesn't that make anyone who asks questions in these threads a baiter?
>>
>>51156008
>>51156063
Essentially, the way for actual HUMANS to learn/implant song magic works differently form how reyvateil do it because of how their minds are structured. Humans don't have cosmospheres or implant ports. You either need to use the method that entails the Sharls, or you just need advanced song science to where you can copy the methods used by the people of Ar Ciel before Ar Tonelico was finished. It's been reported that they did have ways for humans to sing song magic that generally involved high tech devices that looked like staves or music boxes. Some might still exist by Ar Tonelico, but good luck. The people of Ra Ciela aren't the only humans, as native humans were born and lived on Ar Ciel long before their ship arrived and they dispersed among the natives of Ar Ciel, but their tech base probably did inspire the people of Ar Ciel and is, at least, more advanced song science.

>>51156102
No problems.
>>
>>51156116
Generally bait involves something that people know will trip off a shitstorm, like asking about certain jumpmakers' sore spots. Bait kind of relies on people responding without thinking much on it anyways.
>>
>>51156116
Being inflammatory for attention, not trying to get attention at all.
>>
>>51156140
Again, that's really helpful, and I appreciate your help. So if I understand correctly, humans used to be able to use song magic/science in much easier ways in the past, but that was lost somehow? I think we have perks for finding old tech like that, but we'll see. As is, I'm kind of buried with drawbacks in the jump itself, so I might have to wait until Ar Ciel comes out to grab that stuff.
>>
>>51155960
Heavenfire is pretty much the same thing (mystical fire), except it's blue and holy instead of red and demonic and you can control whether it burns or sterilizes. As for bypassing the innocent... I'm going to have to say no.
>>
>>51152357
>In order to complete this Jump, you must
graduate within 10 years (explusion will result in failure of the Jump).
Adding additional automatic failure conditions is generally frowned upon and considered bad design.

Keep to the standard "Survive Ten Years in the World" rule that has been there from the beginning. Modifications to that rule need to be an optional Scenario, or as a drawback you can take or leave.

Drat. I'll have to find some other way to do that, then. Oh well, it'll still be cool to be an Angel/Spirit of Justice with holy blue flames. Thanks, YJ!

Oh, actually, one last question. Could I use the Penance Stare on Darkseid for that drawback in Young Justice to take him down, or would he survive/shrug it off?
>>
>>51156259
GURPS Monster Hunters. It's basically the 'standard' method of casting in that system, since most casting takes too long. Thus they set up a contingency of "When I'm pointing my finger at target and say 'blah'" or "When this charm breaks."
>>
>>51156259
Final Fantasy 7 can sort of do it with Final Attack.
If something would take you out the spell happens and that spell can be whatever.

You can also rig up a lot of magitech to have activation protocols which can be as complex as you are creative.
The only problem is that you've got to carry them around somehow.
>>
>>51156202
It was external technology. The artifacts that enabled it are lost. What I've been telling you to do is basically bypassing the fact that their reality doesn't work on song science and thus allow them to use song magic at all, but not how to teach them song magic. They can theoretically develop songs on their own, but it'd be very rare. The only way for them to learn song magic like a reyvateil does is to restructure their soul/mind and mirror it on the server, or to give them a biotech implanting slot to shove painful crystals into. Or, you can introduce Sharls, which is a much less painful method but requires a Ciel or Nosurge since the only remnant of them is the Teru and they don't have the same ability the ancient sharls did of connecting to your soul and allowing you to express their and your emotions as song magic. So the old song science devices would be the best bet, because all they need to do is be keyed to the signalling device and the song server.
>>

>>51156312

>>51156305
I suppose I should say what I need it for. I'm trying to create items that carry spell effects (not wholly magical items, as it's important that they be imbued spells) that will trigger when a certain condition is met. I'll look into GURPS, thanks.
>>
>>51156282
Not sure about a drawback Darkseid, as I always assume that drawback enemies are more powerful than they would be otherwise. However, if you encountered him in DC? Yeah, it'd work. It'd work in spades. A person doesn't have to feel guilty, they just have to /be/ guilty in an Old Testament sense.

He's definitely more powerful, being comics level powerful in a cartoon. He'd be untouchable in-universe. Right, good to know, might have to use that on him if worst comes to worst. He'll come back, of course, because something something cosmic balance, but that can be dealt with later.
>>
>>51156414
No no, there's nothing to be sorry about , I just wanted to clarify what I said before. I appreciate your help, and I didn't know a lot of that information, so you being thorough is really helping me figure this stuff out. Thank you for that.
>>
>>51156423
Go to Sidereals and get the Capstone for Chosen of Endings. You won't have to "deal with it later".
>>
>>51156444
...I hadn't thought of that. Thanks anon, I can work with that. Combine it with other perks like the one from Banner Saga to make sure he stays down...yes, I can work with that...
>>
>>51156423
Use the capstone from Chosen of Endings (Sidereals) and some perk that means things you kill don't come back and kill him quickly enough that he can't do anything to take the universe with him.
>>
>>51156465
>Jumper kills off Darkseid for good
I genuinely want to see how everyone would react to that. I imagine it would send shock waves throughout the DC universe.
>>
>>51156525
Doesn't, canonically, that create some type of hole in the Source that tries to drag the whole multiverse into it?

Never read that story.
>>
>>51156525
yeah but that doesn't kill the concepts of evil and anti-life, just a particular incarnation
wouldn't another entity take his place eventually?
>>
>>51156572
The capstone allows the universe to continue on as if he was never killed. The hole in the source wouldn't happen, even if Darkseid was killed.
>>
>>51156572
Sidereals has a perk for that. Basically bosses stop being load bearing.
>>
>>51156615
So what happens when that perk is used in conjunction with the Another capstone from Metroid?
>>
>>51156611
>>51156615
Oh yeah. Whoops.
>>
>>51156641
How are magic items made in SP?
>>
>>51156655
I don't think it's ever really explained? My guess is there's something like Symbol Magic used to do it.
>>
>>51156655
>>51156789
One cool thing to keep in mind is that the God Killer weapons were apparently made by dipping ordinary weapons in a pool found in the catacombs under Gordon Edgely's house. It can also boost someones magical properties if they're dipped in it.

How has your jumper upgraded their Warehouse?
What were the most useful/favorite?
What upgrades, in retrospect, could they have done without?
>>
>>51156928
Oh, good point. May want to grab some of those crystals from down there, too. Just make sure to wear gloves or something.

>It can also boost someones magical properties if they're dipped in it.
I... don't remember that, outside of whatever they did with helping Marquesas possess Stephanie's body or whatever? I thought normal people would die from contact with it.

I don't remember exactly. Memory's kinda fuzzy on that.
>>
>>51156615
Hmm. Could you use Stars And Stones from Dresden Files to a similar effect?

"Darkseid, I've good news and good news. You can now die without breaking the universe, and you're about to die."
>>
>>51157050
Hrm I remember one of my first big projects was making the entire basement (Sims 3) into a massive Data Storage and Server Unit so that I could make the upper area a massive Digistruct Machine (Boarderlands) it took forever to get everything just right. The only time I regret all that time it took is when I go Powerless, as it makes all that hard work feel moot.
>>
How many years of training would it take for me to conjure an entire chapter of Space Marines with the First Magic?
>>
>>51157222
Probably just under 2,227 years.
>>
>>51157050
I didn't really mess with the warehouse beyond making my own automated storage system. Second jump was CATastrophe where i bought that mega-yacht and i got a house attachment soon after that so i didn't really have a need to use it for shelter.

Really, most of my early jumps gave me some sort of property which i could use for whatever i needed. So i didn't have a use for the warehouse beyond storing things and accessing what attachments i had.

Then i eventually got to Minecraft where i got the Applied Energistics tech to make everything be stored digitally which is when i took everything and moved it elsewhere while i built the most powerful energy generators i could and the storage system. Didn't do much after that. Maybe some decorations.
>>
>>51157062
I don't think it says anything about the water being lethal. In the book it just says that it turns ordinary objects into magical items. They do use it on Stephanies body but she is dead at that point so it might not work on a living person.
>>
>>51157062
I put some more ideas in for DC Occult the other day. Want to have a crack at it and see how much we (mostly you) can get done?

The mental image of that is pretty funny.
Just suddenlying a bunch of hard ass spess marines into wherever is going to cause so much chaos regardless of where you do it.
Just imagine how confused they're all going to be.

Defense of the Ancients 2

>Strength Hero
Was a bit weird picking this I'd usually have gone for either of the others but I really like the earth manipulation perk.

>The Radiant
Also strange picking this as I'm not that nice. Instinct was to go for Neutral but this had the most unique non-assbag freebie.

>Icewrack
Made sense given what I took and I figured given I don't know the setting thematic consistency was worth going for.

>A Simple Human
I didn't really care for the other free races so went human.

>A Light In The Darkness
Makes me seem like a good guy when I'm being a good guy and makes me handsome in a Disney Prince sort of way. I liked it a little more than the dark counterpart.

>The Strength of a Hero 200
Is basically a powerful durability/strength potential perk. You start off strong and can end strong as fuck,

>Earth Spirit 500
Seems like much more fast and loose, large scale earthbending. I figure it'll stack nicely with Earthbending for more throwing of hills.

>Master of Ice 1000
Is a pretty great ice perk. Was really torn about this one as I could basically choose any of the other big elemental things. Decided cold restoring magic was better than fire making me faster and none of the big cosmic powers really appealed to me.

>Helm of Iron Will
Is a really great freebie. Increased healing, strength and durability.

>Javelin
Occasionally pierces all armour so is definitely getting combined into the Stick.

>Mjollnir 1300
Also for Stick combining and allows for greater lightning control completing my Earth/Ice/Lightning combo.

>Burn Victim 1200
Means making mistakes results in verbal smackdowns.

>Feeder Infestation 1000
Means I'll inevitably be betrayed by one person when working in a team which I guess promotes working alone, using big teams of not particularly powerful people and being very careful before allying with major players.

Overall I'm a barbarian guy with a lot of elemental oomph. Not my normal thing. Fun jump to build for.

40,000 years.
>>
>>51157050
I've been buying some attachments to the place, and some themes as well, making it bigger, and nicer to look at. Also, I bought...most of the initial upgrades, except for the Miscellaneous, I only bought the Food Source for that, didn't need most of the others, all didn't buy the Internet one, because I figured I would have other ways to access it.

Medbay saved the lives of a lot of people I brought in there in the early days, even saved my life once or twice. Force Wall is also great, because it's kept my enemies out when I went in there.

I guess I could have gone without the Workshop, given that I got other attachments for that.
>>
>>51157359
In order to make them you presumably have to be able to preprogram them with training, so you could also preprogram them with mission objectives etc. Still crazy, but not as disorientating for the actual spess marines.
>>
>>51157311
Oh yeah.

>>51157336
Yeah, I've been putting it off, sorry.

Err, will your still be on in a couple of hours? I'm about work out and then I've got a bit of shit I need to do for school.
>>
>>51157387
I should be. Just pop on the IRC and message me if I'm still there.
>>
>>51157387
CJ, how strong is Trigon for the Trigon Begone scenario? Also, would it be possible to lure him to my own Dimension? I mean, if I can fight off Spectre, I should be able to stomp him, right?
>>
>>51157050
I use a lot of spacial folding and compression to make more room if that counts.
I don't really live in my warehouse though so upgrades are just for storage purposes.
Things like timelock chambers and temperature sealed environments.
Sure the warehouse is timelocked when you're not in it anyways, but eventually some things are going to go bad from time passing during general use .
>>
>>51157405
Alright, thanks.

>>51157410
Powerful enough to stomp on the TT version.

You can, but you'll need some way to lure him there and then some way to keep him from just leaving. Also, it probably still won't be easy even then. Comics Trigon is close enough to DoV Spectre to put up a fight. May actually be stronger in terms of direct power, but the Spectre can basically no-sell magic users and use their own power against them.
>>
>>51157410
Trigon has fought the Spectre before, well a fifth dimensional imp who stole the spectre's powers.
>>
>>51157477
>>51157489
>Trigon is close to, in not on, if not beyond the level of DoV Spectre
...shit man, Trigon's fucking buff.
>>
>>51157477
What are his physical stats like? How about his resistance to esoteric effects like time-stop or fate manipulation?
>>
>>51157477
Would Trigon be interested in the Games of Divinity?
>>
>>51157574
>What are his physical stats like?
The lower end versions display him treating superman like a gnat.

>How about his resistance to esoteric effects like time-stop or fate manipulation?
Very good, otherwise Myx Spectre world have stomped him.
>>
>>51157583
Possibly. He is human enough for a one-night stand.
>>
>>51157509
Well, it's hard to say. Standard comics bullshit an all that. Mostly DoV Spectre didn't do any huge flashy, widespread effects like Trigon sometimes does. He just systematically skullfucked the entire magical world.

>>51157489
I actually don't remember that, honestly.

>>51157574
Very, very high for both.

>>51157583
Maybe. But not in making any deals. He's going to want to mount your head on a like first and foremost. After that, he'll check out the cosmic X-Box the punymortal was bragging about and see if it's truly worth his time.
