I think that MtG has is revolving way too much around money, to the point that I hope that somebody ends up in jail or the whole thing crashes.

This. Think about Aether Hub. Is it one of the best lands printed in a long time? Yes. Is it an uncommon from a new set so it can't hold its launch value? Absolutely.

Fatal Push is a really, really good card in multiple formats, but it is going to be around $1.00 in a few weeks (if that long, even).
