So what are some software and tools do you guys use to organise and create information about your campaign/characters?
I've been looking into transferring from pen and paper to keeping a working archive as both a backup and to implement for future games. Tools/programs where i can create intricate character dossiers would be best.
Notepad
I use Open Office and a 3 ring binder for each campaign. The binders have sleeved covers so I can put titles on the spine and slide in pictures/labels.
My character sheets are a jpg that I edit with MSPaint.
Improved Initiative is a nice little tool.
For combat, you just punch in your PCs and your Monsters and it takes care of everything else. And it's simple too.

you can write, organise and link notes with it. And it's really user-friendly, which is great for tech-idiots like me.
I play on Roll20 mostly. I've taken to using wikidot. Free, personal wiki. Simple syntax to create and edit pages and you've got your own fully searchable wiki for your campaign at your disposal.
