I'm all for more, but I wish as much time has been spent tightening up some rules, centralizing tables or card decks, and fine tuning the game turns. This is a time and materials intense game, and I hope Poots listened to legitimate criticism regarding extreme results on single dice rolls and other elements.

Is the cat knight in the update the lost knight referred to in the silver city update?
Also is that expansion a throwback to the underground city you can find from mining ore? Kind of neat that they would hint at it in the hunt events and now fully reveal it.

There are a number of half-done concepts and out of print minis with no rules.

Club Spec is interesting. Perfect Hits for clubs now nearly guarantee a successful wound. Mastery makes them really benefit from overkill, too.

Never made sense for clubs, of all things, to be one of the two main dual wield specs. Was kinda dumb. But now they're solidly in the heavy hitters category, which is a better place to be anyways.

How do you guys manage a reasonable level of maturity when shopping for addons?

It's cautioned not to add too much to a single campaign, in many a review elsewhere or discussions I've seen here; if that's the case then why is there just so fucking much on offer to begin with?

How is someone expected to narrow down what they want to expand their game into when it's going to take two to three years before people have this shit in-hand (( HAH! )) and can begin to route out the obvious bloat or poorly managed advanced ruling?

The answer is invariably two pronged: You can only GUESS and GAMBLE; also you're better off going 'all-in' just to be safe :^P.


Those of you that have DemonDicks level of personal control need not respond.


This isn't some memery btw, I'm legitimately bewildered by how much is being chucked onto the heap all at once. If this Ponce of a developer had realized that setting a smaller table and then having more frequent meals is a lot better than overbooking a massive banquet once every half decade then all of us could have the chance to throw more dough at him.

You don't need everything.
You don't, and can't, ever know how good these new expansions are.
Set yourself a limit. Whatever you can afford and are willing to put in. $400? $600?
And then grab the core game, grab the Gambler's Chest (you're a fool if you don't), and then just grab whatever you think looks cool. Whatever excites you. Don't overload the nodes and don't ignore info about what doesn't work well together, but just grab whatever tickles your fancy.

Just take a step back and go with rule of cool.

I have a fourth generation settlement (mists *4 times) with a single ridiculous survivor named Repentia who has managed to survivor, in one shape or another, through the entire campaign from around halfway through the first one. 6 movement, 2 accuracy, 5 strength, 3 evasion, 1 luck, 1 speed; 32 insanity; Sword Master and nearly a shield master--will be working on club mastery next; Sculptor constellation from Dragon King campaign with True Blade/Swordsman's Promise/Black Guard Style fighting arts and the Ghostly Beauty/Narcissistic/and Prey Disorders. She's slowly been collecting the green armor set and only needs the boots/waist/head to complete it. I think she might very well complete her epic, multi-settlement campaign to complete the armor before she reaches retirement age (5 more LYs if I can't max her understanding and luck into Ageless).

I play that she's the only character who can wear the Green Armor set, due to her power, and if she ever dies for good, that'll be it for the armor. She absolutely wrecks and is extremely tough in showdowns, but I try to only bring her on the most important hunts for building the armor because of the potential for her to die in an event. So far so good, though she's had to "resurrect" via Virus Flower twice and is actually the sculptor twin of the original character.

Going to add the green armor sets onto my KS by close -- is it true that you ONLY need the 3 knights? So far I am wondering if I need a Gorm or not... Might buy a used one later down the road (when I suspect green armor and the gorm will be replaced by something easier)
