I need a class to fill a d6 random class table. The game is about a relatively modernesque "game of thrones" (late XIX century europe instead of middle ages). Players are under the orders of a noble house, as an elite force.

1. Figther. Bonus hp + favored weapons
2. Thief. has stealth and some acrobacy powers
3. Ranger. Nature skills, Tracking, Called Shots
4. Mage. Has some magics of healing, protection, divination, unstable summoning (the world is a low magic world, there are not polymorphings or things like that).
5. Tinker. Has some steampunk devices, and the ability to modify and repair them. Also some tweaked weapons with technological downsides
6. WHAT TO PUT HERE? clerics and druids fit more into the Mage slot. Barbarians don't fit the world too much either.

Yeah, like an inquisitor. Some kind of super useful out of combat class that can just hold his own in a fight.

Maybe Aristocrat or Noble. A couple of pistols with slow reload and a sword with bonuses to finesse and precision in fencing style scenarios like in a great hall or in a clean street, but significant terrain penalties in rough ground or poorly maintained floor areas. This would reflect their training rather than hands on experience.

Major bonuses to information gathering, bludd, diplomacy, disguise, knowledge of history and nobles, connections they can use with safehouses, ability to intimidate lower ranking guards.

Im thinking on making a Doctor class; somehow going beyond simple medicine (psychology, chemistry, biology, hypnotism) But with disciplines that are such that don't overlap with the tinker field (more technological and crafting sciences). I don't know if this is good enough to stand as a class of its own.

That was my original move. But mechanically they were the same; I realized that the only difference would be how to roleplay them. Also I want to reflect that kind of differences on the starting equipment. For example: A fighter gets two of the following at the start:

-A favored weapon type + said weapon (guns, bows, melee, blades, thrown, chain)
-Battle Scars: extra 1d6 HP
-A missing eye: You get to re-roll a die once per combat
-Heavy armor (+2); no penalties when worn.

This is also a good choice; but I'd prefer to have another: I'm thinking on having them roll on a separate table for background (1d6: how separate from nobility are you? 1 being a peasant, 6 being very close to the throne inheritance). This way, you can be any class and still have any background. You can be a Princess Thief.

This could work well. Since we're using GoT as a reference, a doctor could be the Qyburn/Pycelle/Luwin to your setting's Melisandre/Thoros, with heavy knowledge in medicines, poisons, and the like.

I kid. Kind of. Luwin was actually a bad maester, since he was actually loyal to the Starks, and not just Winterfell.

Anyway, if you're going that route, have them focus on - like I said - medicines and poisons. Apothecary, basically. Rangers can know about what useful things grow where, but doctors know how to use them properly to create things.

Another thing I would do is take healing away from mages, and give it to the doctors. If you're going for low-fantasy, it'd be more fitting for them. For instance, if your party has been banged up, a doctor would be the one to set bones, nurse wounds, etc.

Doctors could also identify poisons as well, which could be a useful mechanic for story purposes. Just some food for thought.
