So, uh, I have an idea for CYOA. Working name is "Banished" and its about a group of castaways in very low magic fantasy/medieval setting. I think about dividing it into 3 or 4 Acts, each Act 1-3 pages long.

>Act 1 Banishment
Here you determine what your group is consisting of, starting supplies, and perhaps reason for banishment. One of the leading ideas here is, the more capable companions you have, the more chance there is they will challenge/betray you

>Act 2 Establishing colony
In this act you "build" a new colony, spending points in terrain and socioeconomic perks, traits, etc. For example access to river will give you bonus to trade, but it may also carry the danger of invaders/neighbouring tax officials to come. Setting in uncivilized area on the other hand will hinder cultural progress etc.

And here I have trouble, I dont exactly know what the next Act should contain. Any ideas? Is the game even playable?

I am the man with no name... The Shadowman, at your service. I frustrate my rival at every end, using stealth and deception to infiltrate his homes and sabotage his defenses. Giving him, or her, a fair warning is only sporting.

As for my quests, I will start with Mai Waifu. After kidnapping my rival's waifu, I will use monstrify and the needle to turn her into a loyal, loving monster girl waifu of my own. Not only will my rival lose the love of his/her life, the waifu will be almost corrupted beyond recognition... almost.

As for The Sword, I get to put together a heist of mythic proportions, putting all my skills to use. Leaving a calling card to let my rival know he was beaten will be all the sweeter.

I tried to cover my bases with my companions. The Amazon Warrior will cover for my lack of sheer brute strength, as well as potential snusnu. The Diviner will be useful for devising plans and schemes and predicting my rival's movements. Finally, the noblewoman gives me an ear on the upper strata, as well as a source of funding.

I'd try not to be too evil, though. In fact, treating the land better than my rival and getting his subjects to favor me would twist the knife that much more. Should be fun, mate.

There wasn't an option for reincarnation or anything similar, so I went with what I had. Also, given that it is a very healthy, clean society where everyone is going to be physically fit to a degree, everyone will most likely have relatively long and pleasant lifespans.
Hopefully with Alchemy and a few hundred years I can manage a philosophers stone or something similar, so if I find a waifu I can extend her lifespan as long as necessary.

Demiplane is vast savanna scattered with mountains, crawling with monsters and eldritch abominations. Plane affinity so that we can train various animals as pets for hunting and guarding things. Have village of diverse and exotic amazons that have culture obsessed with hunting and slaying monsters, kind of like Norn in GW except amazons and not shapeshifters. They'd hunt giant serpents that hide under the sand, nomadic centaurs, and giant carnivorous birds that live on top of mountains. Amazons live as tribe that shares everything and are very cooperative for survival. Forging strong weapons and training hunting pets are important to them. I live in tower and am leader of the amazons because of powerful elemental magic that is strongest close to my tower and because I can turn into a dragon to fight off biggest monsters. Take form change so I can be tall, strong amazon. Occasionally travel to earth when things are calm to check how everything is back home.

But he avoided being lolified and married to Caesar, and he got Mother Goddess pregnant with his baby so I guess his player didn't consider it a total loss. Not at all. The bots themselves aren't very smart and you can see they often just copy and paste entire threads, but as time drags on and more information is collected the simulations starts diverting from the real things. It's hard to notice because it's usually just grammatical changes or changing the active voice to the passive voice and such.

It's like those early videogame AIs that could "learn" how to play but in reality it just modifies its behaviors based on observations from older matches. These thread simulators are the same.

However, I've personally skimmed through them enough to see enough variation that I was surprised at the level of complexity that the bots can achieve, even if only randomly. Once you read through enough of them you even begin to feel individual personality from certain bots. I've personally come across a specific bot that seems to be a mix of Angel and two other regulars here as well as one that complains that nobody likes his cyoa (these posts are usually accompanied by completely random images)

It's kind of scary when you get really into it and you jump back to 4chan and you get the faintest feeling that the two threads aren't on the same wavelength anymore.

However, he will grant you whatever superhuman/paranormal power desire at the cost of "Curse Points." You're allowed to take any power you wish, but the curse points accumulate. If you have 0 curse points by the end of the year, you won't die.

In order to remove curse points, you have to have sex with someone. If you take enough powers that you have 365 curse points in total, then you have to have sex 365 times that year or you will die. That means sex once a day at least.

There will be a perk section where you can pick 2-3 perks that will assist you in your endeavor, such as making anal sex remove 2 curse points instead of 1.

Then there will be a list of other "candidates" (waifus) who are underoing the same problem as you, each of them with a certain amount of curse points they need to resolve themselves. Thus, they are interested in partnering up with you, but only if you have more curse points than them. The most hard-mode girl will have something like 3,000 curse points she needs to resolve.

Not the most effective build but no real critical weaknesses (For efficiency I'd take transmutation and Edge of Madness with no drawbacks and go full Panacea mode. Pretend to be a fan of the hero, offer to shake their hand. Then mutate them into a sack of flesh with a mentally linked self-kill switch) . The guardians I can just brute force my way through. The only real difficulty will be finding my rival once I have the sword. Not too bad. I just appear to people and give them divine revelations that my rival is a horrible person and they must hunt down his location to ensure their place in heaven. Then just laze about humiliating peasants with my BFF companion until I find a lead. Then kill 'em when it's convenient.

Really I do the bare minimum to screw-up my rival and just sort of lord it over everyone how great I am until I'm forced to make an effort.

I'll target whoever posts the next fantasy setting build.

Sure but it would be boring to have all measured off the same scale and I think there are a lot of opportunities to make dungeons that are terribly dangerous but not very popular, and were competition is scarce, thereby allowing you to profit as a merchant, or a dungeon that isn't very dangerous and is wildly popular and has a lot of competition so you have to specialize in certain merchandise or go out of your way and actually scour the dungeon for customers.

Basically building off of specific situations in different dungeons to create variability in what kind of merchant you can become

That's a given, already working out specialization from general branches like having Arcane Arts further divide into Enchanting/Alchemy/alteration/illusion/conjuration some of which themselves divide into even more specific products that you can specialize in.

Though I suppose the problem is that 'spirits' are hard to define. Spiritual transfusion can be used many ways, including 'hard' spiritual entities like Oni and Devas, or 'soft' entities like ghosts and shades. The problem is that other entities like the KSBD's angels could be counted in the category, as well as gods and other ethereal entities.

I've considered splitting Ethereal TRAN into multiple categories but I've never committed for fear of missing subsets not covered by new categories.
