I second XIV. It's very story focused, and while it takes some time to really get going, that shit is incredible.

Unbeknownst to the opponent, I wasn't attacking him to wound him, but rather, I purposefully missed, so that my attack would hit the house behind him.
Seeing that I was in that house before for two minutes, I know exactly where the gas storage was.
And I wasn't dodging his attacks, but moving him so that him right side (the one without the shield), would be exposed directly to the house.

Obviously, I kicked the dirt at him not because I wanted to blind him, but rather, to mask the scent of gas that are building up.

WoW is low grind per level but a lot of levels. A few classes don't really deal with cooldowns much, light Death Knights. They just spam Blood Boil & make sure they always have a Death & Decay circle up. Any other cooldowns are oj more situational abilities. It does, however have subscriptions.
Tera is free & a lot of fun. The high-action gameplay it has sort of requires management of cooldowns, though.
Honestly, I'd recommend getting a co op RPG to play with your friends instead of an MMO.
