I like the way pratchett did it - pseudo-modern technology being able to function on technology OR magic. Or on some ideas being actually sentient which somewhat falls into "magic" but somewhat doesn't.

Stuff like slime dishwashers and totally-not-boomboxes in D&D are silly though. Logical, maybe (i HATE the "in a highly magical world all villages must be strictly mundane" trope), but silly.
