The Force + Psychic Powers
The Warp + Hyperspace
Force-Users + Psykers
How do you, dear fa/tg/uy, make a sci-fi setting with this starting point?

Not much different than 40k by itself, just less grimdark
Star Wars borrows from many of the same sources as 40k. Both settings are not-Dune with some pop culture on top on a fundamental basis, you're not going to end terribly original by exchanging some of their rehashed plot devices

I dont
I like both Star Wars and 40k but dont want them combined
Its very autistic
Does that make the Vong early incarnations of what would become tyranids?
Also our Dark Heresy GM tried crossing some Star Wars stuff into our game, and we said, "dude, seriously, no."

How is Star Wars not-Dune?

Desert wastelands, space politics, ancient psychic orders, yadda yadda.
It adds katanas and it's a Western, the other differences are ephemeral.
