I had to step out unexpectedly yesterday and couldn't check up on the thread.
Please suggest cool pics, media or similar set in pre-Norman Britain, be it mythical, historical or some mixture of the two. I'm working on a kind of mythic/historic hybrid taking inspiration from Celtic myths and actual history, and I can always need more cool ideas to spark the imagination.
Or just discuss celtic RPG's in general.
Anyone played Pendragon? How is it?
Sort of doubltful about most recent movies. Excalibur is a good one though.

cool media? Well that picture was made by Agnus McBride. He made a lot of illustrations for Osprey Publishing for their monthly historical issues. If you are interested in pre-norman britain I would suggest pirating those monthly issues.
Before some of you start with "you wouldn't download a car..." lot of stuff is out of print and only way to get those issues is by downloading them (because people who bought them are probably not planning on selling them).

Also I would suggest GURPS celtic myths because it has 130 pages and it is mostly about fluff and not crunch.

>Pre-Norman Britain
>Celts
So you mean either Pre-ROMAN Britain or Anglo-Saxons.
Or are you setting it in the Pseudo-Historical period between Roman retreat and Anglo-Saxon period where King Arthur ruled and defended Cornwall from the Anglo-Saxons?

Real fucking shame McBride died. He was a true hero.
Arthur was a Roman tho
So, Angus Mcbride is good stuff. What else do you got?
