Customization is very limited, its a matter of major skins. Imperials get: standard stormie (dependent on planet), pauldron colors, shocktrooper, shadow trooper, scout trooper naval trooper, officer, and shoretrooper captain. I spliced the shoretrooper bottom half with the scout trooper upper half in mspaint and cleaned it up in GIMP.

It's not Star Wars per se, but you DO know about Renegade Legion, right? RL: Centurion is the boxed set entirely about grav (hover) tanks, and the game in general is incredibly thematically similar to Star Wars, as it was FASA's attempt to get the SW license that went to (IIRC) West End Games.

The Force Awakens was not a pile of garbage, it was essentially a reboot of the universe, yeah they rehashed a lot and used a lot of stuff the Original Trilogy did, but instead of putting your bullshit expectations on the film and it's creators, blame yourself and the vast majority of people who bitched and whined and sryed about the Prequel Trilogy because it was "too different" and "too childish" despite the fact that Star Wars has never been anything but fiction marketed at children and wanted stuff that was more like the OT in theme. If you could get away with being inside an IG-88 magnaguard, that would be a clever way to justify running around with jedi like weaponry.
Otherwise, I would suggest you get multiple droid bodies so you can configure for different tasks, ie tank mode, stealth configuration and so on.
Alternatively, just get a humanoid exoskeleton that looks something like boba fetts full body armor.

Question: Never palyed any of the Star Wars RPG's and my group wants to start one. Any recommendations? Currently looking at Edge of the Empire and Age of Rebellion. Dont know much about any star wars RPGS, is there one that is better? One to avoid? One im not even considering that I should?

Star Wars D6 by WEG is the system my group has been using for years. The dice pool system is far superior to a D20 system. It's also pretty darn well balanced. I suggest 2nd Edition Revised and Expanded.

I'd figure that a reasonably funded Rebel fire team would have a core of guys with A280C or scavenged E-11 rifles, a guy with a heavier repeating blaster like a DLT-19, a marksman with something like a T-21, and a spare missile or grenade launcher somewhere in the mix.

The word i'd use there is 'average'.

It had issues, but overall it was a fun film that wasn't nearly as terrible as any of the prequels, or as obnoxious as Force Awakens was with it's Original Trilogy throwbacks.

Have they put any word out on when we can expect 2.6 to hit the main servers, or is it still just endless PTU patches that fix about 4 things each?
