What's /tg/'s general consensus on Yugioh? I've recently had the sudden urge to get back into the game, but it has been years since I last played and from what I've heard the game's meta has changed drastically. Also I don't know how popular the game still is outside of dueling network (which is shut down for now) so I'm not sure if investing into the actual physical game is worth it.

I don't know about the rest of /tg/, but my feelings on contemporary yugioh can be summarised in two pictures.

There was a joke about urza's saga standard
Early game is the shuffle, midgame is the coinflip, and engame is the first turn
YGO decided to take that literally

If just talking about your meta doesn't send a nigga to the shadow realm, then you gonna' have a bad time.
The next series will be announced at Jump Festa this weekend so get ready for some bullshit
Synchro era was best once all the degenerate loop combos like Blackwings and Brionac were banned. Prove me wrong.
