So Force of will finally made its way to my LGS out here in rural australia and Im kinda dissapointed.
The store had an intro night tonight and I purchased the Light/Fairytale starter deck whilst the only other person to turn up purchased the Malefic Ice deck.
Out of the near two dozen games we played I lost all but one time finding myself either facing down 1200/1200 Flying Ice dragons by turn 4 due to the decks draw power or spent most of my time with my creatures being spun or locked down by control cards.
Is this simply a bad match-up typewise or starter deck blues? With a control style deck available from the get go im just not sure I'm going to be able to enjoy the game once our local community grows and the meta becomes commonplace
It's pretty much dead in the water now.
Stop buying into japanese TCGs. They are the Korean MMOs of the traditional gaming world.

What are the good non Japanese ones then? I am not interested in MTG due to its price.

I'm so sorry. The game is basically dead in the water but if you can find people to have fun with go for it.

Depending on where you live, Netrunner or the LotR LCG.
Other than that, it's a wasteland. Honorable mention goes to Pokémon for being the only japanese TCG that is both stable and not a total shitshow. Also affordable.

I keep forgetting that Netrunner exists, it looks cool thematically. I will have to check out the scene near me. Thanks anon.
