I took the Swedish Duolingo course for a while before they had Norwegian, so I can see the similarities.

Tripped me up when I tried doing both at the same time since they just kind of blend together, and I frequently made simple mistakes like doing "jag är" instead of "jeg er". Decided to focus on Norwegian after that, but ended up drifting out of it a few months later, since I have practically no discipline when I'm not forced to do something.

Average norwegian is a bit like a really lefty coastal progressive of the U.S, but with better humour, less retardation and the speak a scandi language.
Out in the countryside, they sometimes have guns, but guns (as in handguns) are almost nonexistent in scandinavia except if you're in a gang.

There are a few biker-gangs in Norway.
They make a lot of moonshine, 'cause alcohol is really expensive.
Also, scandinavian generally wear really subdued colors, compared to almost anywhere else.
