I just discovered this and I hear there's an RPG. How is it? The setting is exactly my shit. Like the freakier Elder Scrolls stuff but more coherent and less drugged up ramblings. Or a really grimdark Glorantha.

>more coherent and less drugged up ramblings
>Called Kill 6 Billion Demons
Please, tell me more.

It runs a pretty rules light system, but I've never actually played it. I almost did, but the game fell through. If more narrative/role play heavy and low on dice is your thing, it seems pretty good but otherwise you might be averse. I myself was kinda dubious but would have played it just for the setting.

Well the drugged up ramblings actually inform the plot and don't just exist for supplementary fanwank and justifying absurd retcons. And are just presented in a less absurdly verbose and obscure fashion.
Gets a bit tumblry at times is my only complaint.

I kind of assumed that. How rules light is it? Like on a scale from FATAL to GURPS?
>>50644027
Uh, I'm not actually familiar with FATAL beyond memeing, but isn't part of it's problem is having lots of random rules? That said, uh, probably closer to FATAL if that's your standard for rules light.

I was trying to use a witty substitute for 1-10. Fatal is the basis for rules heavy (to an absolutely insane degree), GURPS for rules light.

Oh, then towards GURPS. I haven't played that either. From my game expierence, with Shadowrun as 10 as most rules heavy/complicated 4e D&D as about a 6 and 5e as a 5 I would put it at a 2 or 3.

heres the latest one I think...or at least the latest one I have
>>50644100
How on Earth could GURPS of all things be the basis for rules light?
>>50644027
It's literally a Powered by the Apocalypse game, so draw your own conclusions. The RPG has a lot of neat lore info on the setting.
>>50644473
Fuck. I was thinking of PDQ. Sorry. I've been up late.
>>50644473
It's called GURPS Ultra Lite. It fits in a single page.

There's a PbtA thread up right now, if you want to discuss on a more general level what *World games are (not so) good at.

As much as I like K6BD, I think a PbtA game is a poor choice to convey it's setting and mechanics properly.
PbtA's design does something very specific for it's games, it mechanizes the tone of the game. The moves and such in Broken World sort of just develop a world, whereas PbtA games need to be more specific then that for it to have any substance.
