In your case, it'd probably underline and exacerbate the Fallen Angel personality and plot. It'd put your character on a roller coaster of purity, corruption, debauchery, denial, purity with a cycle that varies from weeks to centuries.

It'd might even be simultaneously a stabilizing and driving addition to your psyche. Instead of stagnating into a mindless vessel, the influence would force you out of any slumps you fall into and push you to the next stage of the cycle.

That's just my interpretation, though.

I chose characters that resonated with me the most, which happened to be from when I was playing Dark souls 1.

If you want you could write down what you like about rosaria, maybe conjecture a bit about her personality, likes and dislike, fetishes and things of that nature. If I did it it would just be me pulling it out of my ass and insincere waifus are a cardinal sin.

I'll take what you wrote and expand the cyoa to include it in its own image. If six people do this with six different souls waifus that I didn't include I'd be happy to make it its own page. I'm sure there are plenty of great waifus I looked over since they personally didn't appeal to me.

After receiving some feedback I decided I'd revamp a lot of things and add a page for powers and abilities that you could use in the nightmare. Also planning on adding more nightmares and waifus for greater variability.

Also, I've decided to change it so that the waifus are no longer fixed to their specific nightmare, instead you choose a nightmare and choose a waifu separately for more possible combinations.

Since this would inevitably lead to everyone spending alone time with their waifu in the labyrinth I'm also changing the labyrinth to make it more conventionally spooky. Very sorry if you preferred it as a "safe" nightmare.

In all likelihood this expansion will be out by sunday night or monday afternoon. If I turn into an ass then maybe tuesday.

I asked because, if the time in the nightmare was separate from the real time... it could actually be really useful, not a nightmare at all, but a powerful ability.

Like, I could make a mental palace to mnemotecnics based on the infinite labyrinth.

Or spend a lot of the nightmare time studying/doing intelectual problems (such as math, but others too). And as bonus would still have the company of a waifu, in a safe scenario.

I problably wouldn't want the nightmare to go away.
On the other hand, if the time passed the same way, it could be the most lethal of all nightmares, I would have to eat and drink a lot of good food and go to the bathroom at every oportunity that I'm awake, otherwise I would problably die during sleep.

Not to mention, I problably wouldn't be able to have any work during that year, so work would be a problem too, and so money to buy things in real life to survive.

I think a good way to see it is that a personality description can tell you what to expect from your first encounter, but from there it's up to you to imagine all the ways you interact, change each other and grow together. Kinda relieves me of the responsibility of telling you that the shy girl will probably warm more up to you over time, while giving you the opportunity to create a far more personal story than I could ever give you.

And I don't like defining personality by fetish in general. The other way is cool, though.

I am for removing of stats.

I would remove restrictions on weapon and say it will take your character time to raise your skill with that weapon to the point it's more in-line with your class' weapon, I would try to avoid cases of 'Can't Catch Up'.

Multi-classing could be a Boon. It gives you 2 skills from another class and perhaps their weapon proficiency.

As for banes, maybe spirits in general aren't fond of you, making magic that utilizes spirits more effective against you while making spirits less inclined to help you until you resolve the problem.

Heart of Fury and Lone Ally probably need buffed to be non-permanent like Kunoichi Assassin and Dark Attraction.

The stats as they are, are shallow. There's no denying this. They have no weight, there's very little said about them, and you never get to gauge how much they would effect your skills really. Plus everyone starts at 5 in everything. That said, I don't think the CYOA would benefit from just removing them outright. I'd rather you give every race a base stat outline before that, even though I know you're remiss to do that, but it would then let you actually use them in other ways in the CYOA.

I don't think I'll do another fluff update since the idea didn't seem too popular (though I'm happy there were some out there who did enjoy my writing). I thought doing a community made dlc might be a neat idea ala traveler builds getting added to the setting but it seems I overestimated how popular of an idea that could be.

I can see that being the intention of Rising Star, even with the note that Comet Princesses are left alone until that's untenable. In those cases, I'd probably try work on the weird sex pantheon equivalent of financially strangling them or something, low-key and benign enough that if they ever get desperate and attack me, I can rely on other brides' help since I didn't technically start the fight. Yea, the whole dlc kinda threw me since it was less "choose one of these four things to do" and more "choose whether or not to do each of these 28 things". Some of the options were interesting, but not something I'd really go write an essay on.

And while I get that theres no real reason to restrict the locations, the dlc is laid out in the exact same format as the main cyoa, so it has that assumption of pick 1.

I guess you could change the ship grown food to mention adding some sort of hydroponics module to the ship, or some other way to infer that its adding extra space? The assumption is that the ship is already built and the non-400.000 cubic meters are for important ship functions like weapons and thrusters and fuel and stuff, so the food would have to go in your 400k personal space. I dunno, maybe its just me. Other people didn't even notice that the size of your personal space was specified...

Still not enough points at start for a decent build and it's even worse now that you added items. Some Weaknesses/Drawbacks don't seem to give enough points either for how harsh those are. 400 was way too many points and 160 is way too little. 200 to 250 would have been better and far more fun.

That being said it's great to see a second page with drawbacks and more options fleshing out the cyoa!

Original idea was going to be something infinitely shapeshiftery. Not enough options to suppor that.

Next idea was to take from Paul Robertson's work, (warning, you either need to be stoned or insane to look at his work without contemplating your sanity after a bit) with four heads, four torsos, each facing a different direction, sharing arms and legs with each neighbor. (Multiplexive) Each aspect would have had a different elemental aesthetic, (Xenosubstantial) and a differing number of genetalia/secondary characteristics.

I ran out of points.

So we get this instead. When she walks and moves, it's like watching something in 4D, where you can see a snapshotted body for every moment. Like afterimages, but overlapping, and physically-present. Most recent one always "on top". Started by trying to take as much Allure in order to sacrifice for other stats. Seems to have worked.

Thank you for sharing the process you went through to build this. Were the problems you had the result of poor budgeting on my part? I've seen somebody make a build with a triple being work instead of quadruple being, but that was a version ago.

BTW, sorry about not offering a shapeshifting option, but I think that doing so would render the first third of the CYOA moot, or be way too complicated to price.

Melissa's Gift. My packrat habits are about to spike to a whole new level with the Purse of Holding. I don't figure I'll be changing too much at first as far as lifestyle goes; interests still come out to about the same, likewise for career paths and such. Little things like using the Ero-Mirror to pick up on potential interests and relationships would probably start a change of pace; a little clue to make up for an otherwise oblivious nature.

Probably going to have to put up with some BS from friends since I went with Warm Welcome, which doesn't stop them from having a few creepy habits, but Spark Touch is on hand even if I doubt I'd need anything but thick skin to shrug it off.

Might consider going back to martial arts training of some sort; taller physique would be something to adjust to and that doesn't sound like a bad way to learn even if it is more art than martial in most places.

The last four don't have a listed exclusion though, so I guess the Academy wouldn't be too bad to give a shot. Plenty of folks with a similar situation to consider; I may not be lonely but I think the company might be nice. I'm not terribly sociable and don't always feel like I connect well to people, or if I do it sometimes feels like they don't see it the same way.

On a side note, Commando seemed appealing as a concept but even pants pose the problem of being uncomfortable in that situation. Skirts have their own problems so that only leaves longer dresses as a half-decent option, but I guess that might be the 20 point cost explanation?
