Bone daggers are generally more useful to make than blades, but if you only have bone weapons you want axes, since they're everything blades do but better.

You also need at least one set of bone darts before departing on Year 1. Range attacks are important for anti-melee things like like Ground Fighting. It's as good as the catgut bow, can move and shoot, but obviously cannot use special ammo. You can also access it before killing a lion and for one bone, no reason not to make one instead of a shitty bone blade.

When I put in my bid of $250, I did so hesitantly. I have never in my life payed that much for a board game-- And yet I looked at the other tiers, and I was disgusted. I thought I was betraying my semitic ancestors with that pledge but to see these other levels! It's unthinkable. Spending that much money on a toy? Who does that? It's pretty good. Some assets are a bit low res, dude went hard on decreasing filesizes to help performance, but it's good. Most expansion monsters don't have 3D models at the moment, just tokens, but beyond that it's pretty sweet.

Just a couple days ago the guy added a couple custom character sheets that make playing the game much, much easier. Not really a fan of the artwork he is using for some of the new board components but everything else is great.

Efficiency or straight out power?

What is the full list of the knight-type figures in the game now; the extra-large armoured dudes? I could give or take the game so I'll probably buy just core, but I really liked the look of those and I'm wondering if it's going to be worth the effort of tracking them down as the numbers in circulation go up.

Missed the first kickstarter and gave up completely on following the store pretty quickly.

I find the best stuff is the miscellaneous items.

Dried Acanthus is one of the only ways to mitigate injuries without having the spider silk doc so I always pack lots of it if I can.

Rawhide set is great for keeping up survival. Everything else isn't worth the effort until you've got all of your survivors tricked out in shields and good weapons. After that, figure out a strategy that complements the roles you want your survivors to play. Gorm's good for a defensive character, for instance, whereas phoenix is alright for an offensive character. I don't find lantern armor worth it, honestly, due to the negative effects of some of the pieces.

Feathered Shield doesn't even provide armor, and only has Block 1. The brain damage reduction is neat but doesn't matter that much.

Lantern Armor generally is awesome but there are so many instances where being Heavy fucks you over it's not funny, in settlement, hunt AND showdown phases.

Every bow is an upgrade to the Cat Gut bow, with the exception of the phoenix Arc Bow since that has Slow on it in exchange for its other vast improvements.

Fury potion is great but falls off later game unless you're ZANBATO-mode.

Acanthus takes up valuable room for shit that could help you prevent injuries in the first place.

Rawhide is one of the most powerful sets and will be used for your entire campaign by at least one survivor for one reason or another. I wouldn't be shocked if it's nerfed in 1.5.

Noghoth means well but bless his heart he is retarded. His mod looks like shit because he compressed everything with shitty tools and then wasted the space anyway with poorly laid out assets.

So imagine this, TTS loads decks of cards based on a single image, right? Lets say you have an image with two rows of cards, six cards each. Multiple images in his mod repeat the same cards so as far as filesize and ram use, even if you should be loading images for let's say 100 cards, in practice you are loading twice as many.

Sounds trivial but it's bad enough that it actually makes tts struggle with loading sometimes. It's so bad I was considering making a brand new mod as soon as 1.5 things are available.

The Knights are all quite good and add a lot of content.

I really like the Manhunter myself, he's a good alternative to the Butcher. Has a interesting fight (lvl 2 and 3 are especially dastardly). And it's not a true Showdown so you can hunt stuff in the same year.

Green Armour is cool but you need most of the xpacs (all of them except Sunstalker, Slenderman, Overpriced Tree, and Lion God) to make it.

Dragon is probably the coolest KD model.
Gorm is good and can be added early so you don't have to fight Lions for gorillion years.

I want add Nightmare Ram, Dragon King, Dung Beetle Knight.
Waiting for prices on Gorm and Flower Knight--those either haven't been mentioned or I missed an update.

Honestly to me, the biggest problem with it is the boxes. Kingdom Death just DOES NOT fit in one mod, and no one should try to make it do so. I kinda started that when I shoehorned in the expansions out of laziness, and everyone else used those to make better mods (cause let's face it, mine is crap. I'm just providing card scans and the monster tokens at this point.

I think it would be better to start the game with NO storage bags, so everything loads on startup, and then to make each expansion a seperate mod, set up in a way that it can be saved to the chest and just dropped into the base game mod. That's probably how I'm gonna do it for 1.5.

Also I'm already a Satan pledge, so there is really no reason to crowdfunding someone else to do it.

I really don't get the vibe for some monsters. The White Lion is ok, but I am not really getting the "let's put arms, dicks and hands everywhere". I can't imagine spending a couple of hours painting the Phoenix and have to actually paint those hands on the wings (and the ones on the butt). Also the survivors aren't Human in the sense that you would understand it. They're created by the Scribe (in theory) so it makes sense that they're -Aesthetic-. That's Gorilla Glue brand cyanoacrylate "super" glue. The same shit you can get everywhere else, just in a better formulation. I'm not even the anon who posted that, but when I had to glue together a bunch of metal models on tiny ass attachment points for another game that glue bottle was literally the only brand that could actually keep the shit together so I definitely vouch for it. It does absolutely ruin your fingers if you touch it, though.

Yeah, Poots isn't kidding about NIGHTMARE horror. There's some real freud shit going on though really it's pretty limited in the core monsters, most of which could pass for Dark Fantasy, at least at first blush.

The Pinups exist because they make Poots a profit. They aren't actually individuals that exist, lore-wise, in the KD Universe. Survivors (both male and female) are kind of idealized and often aren't very dressed (because most of the art defaults to starting survivors who have all of a towel to their nonexistent names). If you want a picture of top-end female badassery in the Kingdom Death universe look at the Lantern Armor, Green Knight Armor, Percival, maybe the female versions of Great Game Hunters and the "Pinup reversal" Allison the Twilight Knight (The one that's the same 'character' as the female TK pinup, but in full armor). Women in your settlement had better hunt as well as the men, with the extra burden of being necessary to bring forth your next generation of hunters.

I am indeed a bit unsettled by the monsters, they are perfectly doing their job here. My point is that they can definitely do an awesome job at designing minis that are (kind of) realistic in their representation of female armour and monsters that are awesome without having to put dicks on skirts (the dung beetle king and the flower knight look incredible). I was wondering if there was any indication of which direction the game design is evolving. The new expansion "The first hero" seems light on the unsettling elements but the Nightmare ram animal goes the other way.

As mentioned before, CAs all have their own properties based on brand, and Gorilla is no an exception. Their glues are ruberized, even their CA. It's part of why they do their intended job so well, and why they have poor shelf life after opening them.

Easy fix for some the randomness of combat (and also to make high speed more viable)
Monsters have Life equal to 2x the number of cards in their AI deck. Any time you hit a monster (NOT wound) it loses 1 life. this does not remove AI, and does not count as a wound. Wounding still works as normal. A monster is dead if it has no AI cards left, OR if it drops to 0 life.

As for settlement events, I feel like they should work like innovations. You start with just a few, and more get added as you play. For example, instead of adding Bone Witch to the timeline, it should add a Settlement Event. Instead of having Gorm Climate last FOR FUCKING EVER, just have it so there are 5 or 6 copies of it, and each time you draw it, a duplicate gets added to the deck. The event where Satan visits you shouldn't really happen early game, so lock it behind something basic like the Twilight Knight event.
