The issue with inbreeding is essentially that it has a tendency to increase the odds of the negative genes hidden dormant in your DNA to get passed on, where they would instead get bred out of the gene pool when mixing with someone genetically different from you.

No no no no. All I said was "fairly competent" and to be honest that was a bit generous. Like if you told me that had been some country's standard issue armament during WW2 I wouldn't be surprised because people were up to all sorts of wacky shit. Mostly because simply nobody else could match the USA's industry and logistics so they were stuck with what they could buy, borrow, or steal, or just make do with their pre-/inter-war tech because it's basically impossible to overhaul your entire military's logistical infrastructure in the middle of a war. All that said, it's still inferior to other options.

If you want the best, buy American. M1 Garand, M1911, Thompson SMG, M2 Browning, M4 Sherman, P51 Mustang. These instruments won the war for a reason, though it wasn't always because they were best-in-role. But they usually were.

Most people meet me are both strangely attracted to me and unsettled by me. It's to be expected - I look like a caricature of a human. Very tall, but thin, with golden skin that glows from withing and long white-blonde hair. My face is a beautiful kind of androgynous.

The CYOA that supplement is pointing to was okay at first, but as time went on I began to dislike the premise more and more so now I don't care for it at all. Keep in mind this has nothing to do with the recent page but the overall idea of the CYOA. An added page with things in the world can be done well.

At the same time, a lore supplement also seems self-defeating. Expanding solely on the world without giving the audience a choice pertaining to it looks like "Oh yeah there are all these other things in the universe too". Literally anything could have been in it to begin with due to it being undefined and therefore able to be shaped by the player's creativity, so why define them? To share your ideas of course, but when what is and isn't there could be anything it doesn't add to the CYOA, just sort of vaguely circles areas and tells you they're there. If you want lore and worldbuilding in your CYOA, it should ideally be there in the first place. That's my opinion.

I think there is a lot of worldbuilding that can't be done just by introducing it in a bundle of choices. I've thought about the idea of lore and CYOAs a lot. Like a lot of rpg books have a small story before section section or a small fluff piece on a page just randomly. Those obviously don't really fit for a CYOA. The problem in my mind is you can't really make what location you go to a choice. So I figured doing traveler did and just having a list of locations would be neat.

Barring >>50436547's exploit (which assumes you can actually beat them), the best build is II, II, II, and anything but IV.

The companion would take the trade better than the others would (no trust to betray, plus superhuman recovery), the boon and item synergize well, and the item gets the best spellbook out of the deal. Furthermore, the absolute drawbacks are the easiest to deal with - just waifu some other person with your build instead of your companion, suffer 1/400th of your life without legs, and endure your companion being somewhat grumpier at you.

The domain is mostly up to personal preference - the paradise domain is really comfy, but doesn't offer too much else, the fantasy domain has one big threat that's straightforward (if difficult) to beat, and the tech domain is a lot more complicated to fix but has more luxuries.

The best results would come from a mix of all three of the domains (directly or indirectly) sharing knowledge, resources, and manpower to stop each of their respective threats.

My personal build would be a full run of IIs, gathering magical knowledge and favors until I can fight the aliens with spells, divine help, and support from other domains. After that, I'd try to skirt the rules and find some way to develop my domain from inside, probably by bringing information from the real world and Tech domains inside via period-accurate media (or people with Companion III) before starting an Industrial Revolution and going on from there.

You can actually visit the myriad Hubworlds in Traveller, and more because that whole multiverse is so huge. It's not a choice on the same scale as the others which define you, but you do choose what Traveller project to help them work towards. Those are much more like job postings and ongoing projects/wars than things to see.

The obsessive nature of the ships compounded with not being able to leave or experience the world outside of it, working the same types of jobs for who knows how long, turned me away. It just sounds like a nightmare that I wouldn't survive with my sanity intact no matter how you spin it or what kind of VR you choose. I wouldn't put myself through that. Others would, but not me, so I don't.

This is interesting. Why did the AI interpret that image as a CYOA? It's not as if it has access to source files so it can't just decide that it has X amount of layers and therefore must be a CYOA. There's barely even any text on that. The parameters it uses must be really... strange because I've never seen it do this before. I-Is it evolving further? Is this the future captchas have brought upon us?

Of all the comfy CYOA's, I actually like this one the least. Not that it's flawed, its just that the concept dosen't appeal to me. My escapist fantasies need an endpoint, something to fantasize about. This is just recursive, a fantasy about having a place to fantasize in.
