Hey, what's the best RPG for a good dungeon crawl?
Yes, I'm aware of the OSR threads and of D&D in general, but I didn't want to be that guy that stops off and buys everything at the first wal-mart he sees.

Depends on what you want out of a dungeon crawl, friend.
Do you want easy to stat monsters?
Do you want to fight for basic supplies?
Do you want every encounter to be deadly?
Do you want to grab loot and hit things?
Do you want a Gygaxian style "fuck you" wonderland?

I've been playing a lot of Wizardry and Grimrock lately and realized how much I love crawling in the dungeons of Zelda recently.
For a classic dungeon crawl I'd say to check out Basic Fantasy RPG or Labyrinth Lord. They're both incarnations of B/X D&D and they're both completely free. I also hear Torchbearer is also fairly good at this, but I've never played it. GURPS also has a Dungeon Fantasy line of books to help facilitate in playing D&D-esque fantasy worlds.
Personally I'd like to give Mini Six a shot for dungeon crawling with stuff from D6 Fantasy bolted on, if only to see how it could potentially work.

If you want a beer and pretzels rule-light game I'd suggest this.
Read the Old School Primer for how to do traps as well: http://www.lulu.com/items/volume_63/3019000/3019374/1/print/3019374.pdf

Seconded. Old School Hack is great.
