So I've been running a D&D5e campaign for a couple months now. I live in upstate NY and it's snowing a little today and half my players are freaking out and bailing because of maybe an inch of snow. Need some good clever ways to punish them in-game. Any thoughts?

Gather up some snow, make it into some snowballs, and put them in the freezer.
Wait until April. Nobody expects a snowball in April.

You stop being a faggot, and ideally stop GMing.
Don't be passive aggressive.
Talk to them out of game and tell them to attend next session.
Be a kitsune.

They can't be arsed to play online due to inclement weather?
No "downtime" session of an hour or two of IC banter and upkeep for equipment and the like.
That you have half of your players there means the real punishment is having the rest of the group's fate tied to being at half strength.
Why does /tg/ always say to not punish players in-game?
It seems fair to me.

you punish players in-game for in-game actions and punish players out of game for out of game actions. Because, mixing OOC with IC is a recipe for drama

Because anyone who's not an autistic manchild would realize that punishing people in-game for a real life inconvenience is something only an autistic manchild would do

Sacrifice one of them to the gods for more snow, obviously
