You can look up "irolledazero" and you'll find a blog about it. It's the most incredible shit.
tl;dr (forgive my fuzzy memory) Batshit GM has a homebrew where stories exist in their own dimensions (including our world, but also existing settings). Special snowflake authors get to make their fiction a reality and are basically godlike in their own universe.
Players work for an organization aiming to literally preserve canon. Meanwhile the DMPC (who's a special brand of special snowflake author) goes around fixing things the DM doesn't like in his favorite stories and amasses an army and a load of superpowers through sheer GM fiat.

Anyway, a few years after the game was over, Tristan (the blog guy) tried to salvage Marty Sue GM's ideas and came up with a pretty cool setting that's very reminiscent of this, and might appeal to >>50177382 a lot.
Basically, every world in the setting exists in someone's dreams. In fact, inhabitants of dreamed-up worlds also have their own dream-worlds (leading into a nested universes sort of thing).
It's possible to travel through dream-scapes and to modify them. Some people try to do so in order to fit their own ideals and fulfill their power fantasies, becoming Mary Sues.
When Mary Sues break the rules of the dream-worlds (otherwise they wouldn't be Mary Sues), the dimension starts to break apart, with eldritch abominations eating at it until nothing's left.
So you've got dream-fixers trying to travel into warped dream landscapes to set things right and defeat the Mary Sue invaders, while not stretching the world's rules too much (otherwise things start to go awry).
Could make for a pretty fun setting, IMO.
