Technology and magics from beyond the known world makes such an agent a very prized being, and a cortex bomb was implanted to make sure no one else could steal away such a prize. So guess who has to run around doing wetwork duty for her and helping in the creation of new magics? Spoilers: It's me.

Yet at the same time it was... interesting. Yes it fucking SUCKED needing to fight off Aztechnology and the crazy-ass bug spirits, yes it sucked needing to run around and prevent elder horrors from breaching the world and risking life and limb to pull off this shit. You can't imagine the amount of times I came back with missing robotic limbs or blood all over or needing to repair the RIG over and over. It was a nightmare.

But there was another side to things. She seemed to appreciate how much I paid attention to aesthetics and beauty. The various technologies she saw me using were of great interest, and many times it was trying to teach her how to create and how it all worked. More often than not I was asked to go along with her to meetings and parties as a 'bodyguard' just so she could impress others with how more of her life was capable of invoking awe. To prove she was capable of still impressing anyone around her.

Those moments made it... kind of fun. I liked the idea that a dragon was enamoured with what I could bring. It felt like having a good friend.

Even if that friend kept sending you into the deepest cesspools and shitpits to further her agenda and you couldn't say no because YOU HAD A FUCKING CORTEX BOMB IN YOUR SKULL.

Are you regulating your diet and getting enough exercise? Do you follow time regulation as far as lifestyle goes? Recovery needs to be extremely active in order to reset your lifestyle properly, to the point where it becomes a micromanagement thing. I averaged about 3 hours a day of sleep during univ, and about the same during work. I've had about a year to rest after work gave me enough to live for the next decade, and honestly I have so much energy back that I'm pretty much ready to work again.

So... training montage! Actually going to be Laharl's item worlder, while using a large number of training perks to power up, and Phantasy Star Online's difficulty level to have item worlds with exactly the difficulty I want/need while training (starting with weak items, of course). Also collect innocents to get full immunity to fire/wind/ic and status effects...

When I get to fighting the memory-thief, I use pirate binding battle pattern (tenchi) to grab his stuff (my memories first), and only the pure of heart with conduit (electro) blasting...while being in the 2km dragon form from SMT. My anti-demon wavelength combined with pure of heart and speechmaking...made my diatribe on 'love' physically painful for him.

The size of a kagune depends on how much kakuhous and their quality. The more Rc cells they gain the better they get. The shape on the other hand depends on the creativity and imagination of the user. So a normal person might have problems but psychological horror writer can probably come up with something like multiple mouths chattering away on their kagune.

Seeing that you have Sunlit Garden, you'd have two quinques installed in you instead of one. All things considered, I'd say it'll make you an experiment of "What if we make an Investigator that eats ghouls" for the CCG seeing that Red One means that you've done so. No one really knows what happens when your Rc cells exceed 1000 as a Quinx but it likely means two things: 1. You become a ghoul for all intents and purposes and can't eat human food anymore or 2: Nothing changes but you gaining more power for your kagune.

Either way, you can still pull off the Red One capstone boost though you'll probably give your co-workers a heart attack.

Well, considering how powerful Angels can be, portraying myself as an end of the world style threat won't be too hard. Still, it's a little disheartening to hear that even in the face of that they'd still take potshots at each other. The Features are based off of classes, and things you can learn with practice. Mana Burst covers most abilities that perks don't, but assume any of the higher-end stuff is biased towards combat use and tends to be in short bursts, and can be done after enough leveling/practice.

There's two things that keep this jumper from just "doing it faster" as you say:

1) They're still juggling a bunch of other research projects. There's trying to comb through all the various demon genetics they have, going through the various technologies and trying to improve/augment them while making them mix together properly so that they've got better tools, there's trying to harness the exact mechanics of each magical system that they have so far, etc. There's no time-warp perks, there's barely any "You do this stuff faster" perks, etc. This stuff is inevitably going to take time, and when you have to balance THAT with going out into the world and keeping the Benefactor entertained, it's not like a lot's getting done.

2) The exact programming requirements for such a computer is monumental, and I don't have any "you can type super fast with no coding errors" perks yet, which means such coding has to be written and inputted quite meticulously. You've seen what happens to normal programs when a line or two of code is messed up, yes? Now imagine what that would do to coding that's supposed to form the magical spells or properties. Not something you want to rush.

Now granted, the Cyber Elf perk is one I'm going to use to speed the process. Create a Cyber-Elf, stick it in the computer, and have them start to streamline the process thanks to perks from Generic Video Game Developer. I feel really dumb that I never picked up the "Never mistype anything" perk there, but them's the ropes. But now that a rather efficient AI is going to help, we're cooking with gas and that front will see very large strides very soon. I'm sorry if I'm not going fast enough for you.

Also, considering that the Benefactor was entertained by Generic Videogame Developer, you may be making that sound harder than it really is. I just can't fathom why a being of such vast knowledge and experience would find combat and close-calls any more entertaining than scientific discovery. To be frank, there's only so much variation in combat, while science is potentially limitless when you the multiverse into account. The way I see it, it's a mix of everything. Doing too much of one thing for too long leads to just as much stagnation. It's partly why the 'Cyberdemon' arc bit was done, because just doing genetics and crafting needs a kick in the ass through the crisp power of technology. Yeah it's funny watching the jumper go through hell just to reach some of those heights, but like you said, there's only so much variation before something new is done. For the most part I am in agreement with you on the spoilers. I just wanted to do Warframe as a jump because there was so much more one could do, and I'm writing BC as something of a "give this place a kick" adventure. Time will tell if I do well.
