I have the istvaan trilogy special edition. I know I'd have at least 2 players for that. But we also have a lot of guard players, tau, and Eldar. How can I setup a campaign without excluding people for the marine only centered istvaan trilogy? I also don't own a lot of Marines I'm mostly a Unending Tide vraks player.

>Spray paint it with whatever main color the marines are
>Wash the marine with a wash of the same color as the spray, this adds a certain ammount of depth
>paint the details

Infiltrate is dirty. Being able to control board positions is huge in ZM. And being able to always get the drop on enemy units and chunk them first is great. Infiltrating Destroyers with shredding Rad missiles, Seekers with Combi plas, and Mor Deythan with combi flamers is spooky.

Outflank can come in handy too.

Also their Mor Deythan with rending combi-flamers will rend on a 5+ in void/poisoned air. The scout is great as well.

Termis with furious charge for S9 chainfists to punch out dreads.

Before the second Moritat nerf, the max 12 hits one, Kaedes Nex was king of ZM.

Alright, so I'm having a difficult time choosing between Sons of Horus, Death Guard, and Night Lords. I love infantry, don't care much for vehicles, and feel like I should make use of a melee army, as my Salamanders and Word Bearers are very shooty. I can, for the most part, rule out Death Guard, as they're shooty as fuck. It all boils down to the units at this point. Night Lords get bat wings, Terror Squads, and beautiful contemptor and Raptors, while SoH get spikes, Justaerin, and again, beautiful contemptor and Reavers. Can anyone supply me with a reason to do either legion?

Yeah, I know they are Malcador's, but I went more with the Agents of the Emperor thing as they are actually on high importance mission issued by the guy in charge of running the Imperium. However they are meant to join/conscript locals, either marines or militia to fullfil whatever mission they have, but a small retinue of custodes or really beefy IF makes sense to me.

I'm not as fussed because the Mk 4 Phalanx Warders (IF special breachers) have no grills on their Mk 4 helms. So if I convert these heads for some Mk 3 breachers with the shield I have coming from Shapeways they'll fit the Phalanx Warder grill-less aesthetic.

If your opponent knows its coming and has experienced its CHOOM before, they'll spread their terminators and light vehicles out of the way, and its unlikely to make back a quarter of its points when shooting its carronade at rhinos/tactical marines. Its a good all-rounder with a cool gun, but usually you'll be better served by the Fellblade as an all-rounder. If you want anti-tank, Falchion or Sicarian Venator, if you want anti-infantry, you're overwhelmed with options. While it is an amazing superheavy, it can be played around to avoid the 600 points of kills as it comes in horror stories. The beam to avoid is the fucking Ordinatus's pie-plate of instant removal.

Just remember when it comes to the Sisters and the Custodes, you'll likely be unable to mix and match in 30k. So if you give then swords, they ALL must have swords and shields, etc. Terminators have combi-bolters and power weapons standard, and must buy the rest of their upgrades. Two chainfists and the rest with power fists will do you good. I'd rather give everyone volkite or no-one volkite, which is not possible since there's only one Volkite Charger sprue. Autocannons and Heavy Flamers are cool, but a matter of preference. Combi-weapons are good, I like Combi-Meltas the most on my Terminators.

You get a few in a squad, deep strike (or out flank if you can) behind the spartan and then go to town on it. Always fun to see a squad of vehicles pop open something three times their price.

But if you want it gone as fast as possible, it's hard to go wrong with kraken lightnings, meltabomb assault squads, or chainfists on various platforms.

Thunder warriors kitbashed out of Stormcast Eternals with liberal helmet and weapon-swaps. Paint scheme emphasizing dirty grey metallics with grimy oil and rust effects. Played on tabletop as Blackshield Chymeriae. Really stoked about the idea and want some feedback.

Probably use helmets from Anvil Industries like these, with plumes attached.

Despite heavy bolters being trash tier, my support squad with heavy bolters somehow comes up big every time I field them. Last game they managed to cause 24 wounds in the first shootig phase. That was with a cognis signum buffing them, but still.
Their game before that they reduced the unit coming at them by 4-6 marines every time some of the Night Lords got close.

I only made the unit because heavy bolters are just cool, but starting to feel like I should use them more often now.

Was planning on converting Anacharis Scoria after my 800 primed points of Admech are done.
My idea was a Necron Triarch Stalker with some Admech bits added and a Magos Dominus top half wired into it I'm place of the pilot. Add some servo arms and paint appropriately.
Thing is, what do I use for the Mace of D3 Wounds? Not anything in any of my Admech kits that would really fit.

Question: when did the Thousand Sons change their armour colours to blue? In the accompanying picture they're portrayed in blue, and it's clearly during the Heresy, so presumably it happened between Prospero and Terra sometime. Do we have any information at all?
