Yeah before I made one I would think it's short too but when I was done I was kinda surprised at how much I wrote.

As far as I know photoshop doesn't have word count but every choice text had around 110 words.

So with 40 choices thats around 4400 words and then the intro text and everything puts it well over 4500.

That according to google is 9 pages single spaced. It's been a long time since I wrote that much fiction. Also have around a 1000 words of background I wrote to flesh out the setting in my mind.

Most of it is a mess. I think the only interesting this is how I wrote about travel lanes. Basically there is no warping or any of those kind of shenanigans. FTL is just going really really fast and breaking a lot of rules. As such anything a Ship going FTL hits is going to get destroyed unless it's like a star or some high tech exotic structure.

Since that's the case every major lane between habs and other points of interests have every ship be given a personal travel route. Since space is big it's not like they're ever going to run out of room and even if you go to the furthest edges all it adds is few minutes of travel time.

So one thing is that all these routes can be visualized with currently alive Ships having their routes glow. Ships that have died though don't get their routes recycled or anything. They're just greyed out and it's the closest thing that there is to a memorial for them.

These carry forward too when they create a route to a new Hab or hot spot.

So the being that summoned me is a Small God. Insect Queen says it can include "minor behemoths, strange gods, or bizarre demons", so I figure taking Small God with Insect Queen and Tentacle Monster, with Archetypical Combination can make some kind of minor eldritch God. So this eldritch God has Ovipositor and needs a living incubator to keep eggs in. Form Sculpting made me perfect for that with Seven Gates Yielding, Rapid Pregnancy, Additional Breasts, and Endless Lactation Effect. I'm infertile (because pregnancy=ew), but Rapid Pregnancy doesn't say that it requires fertility. So I figure it can mean that I can incubate eggs so they're ready to hatch faster, making me perfect specimen for this job. I wish Easy Pregnancy didn't require fertility, otherwise I'd pick that so holding eggs wouldn't be uncomfortable.

Pretty much every other choice is related to my comfort. The eldritch God cares a lot for the well being of its eggs, so it makes sure that I live life of supreme comfort and luxury. Just lounging around draped in jewels with a maid to clean up after me could get boring after awhile. But Immortality just so happened to require Essence Refinement x3, so I have a strong ability to learn magic. I didn't take any extra choices to boost magic, so I'd have to learn slowly with lots of studying. Thankfully I have lots of free time to do it and the eldritch God shouldn't mind as long as I don't exert myself to much.

Eldritch Gods probably live very long times, so I might have this job for thousands of years. When something does eventually happen to it, I will have learned lots of magic and can explore the multiverse as a powerful sexy sorceress.

My outfit is like a cross between the Cleopatra and Slave Leia ones, so like sexy-skimpy and all made from gold and jewels. This is to show how valuable I am as an incubator for baby demi-Gods. And I have to have the Collar and Leash because I'm owned. As for my appearance, I'm a very attractive busty blonde.

Apply for shit warehouse jobs mate. If you speak english and can read english you're already more eligible than 80% of applicants. The trick is to make it general enough that it could be applied to real life. Like take "resilient" and delete everything after the first period. You now have an ability that's descriptive and leaves it up to the imagination exactly how strong or useful it is. Maybe mention that it doesn't slow you down after that just to clarify.

If you pick shared senses and any vr system, the ship could eventually trap you into a virtual reality and make you believe you are actually exploring the space for real.

If I drink my own blood with Blood Brother, can I shapeshift to a younger version of myself indefinitely?

If not, does Bird man's regeneration work on cellular degeneration and other age related conditions?

Also, if I pick Times Ten with Blood Brother, can I apply the former to the latter, drink the blood of, say, a concert violinist and become ten times better than him?

I can't really take credit for that idea. Ian Bank's Culture book series really explores that idea though in that setting the AIs are a bit more hands off and are entirely in control. I would imagine that Hab AI would be pretty much that while Ship AI really really really wants to create a long partnership with the person they decide to keep as their Human.

Normally I would pick Major Body Shift (Ie the Be the Girl option), but I think I can do that in VR and I can't really leave the ship to "need" it elsewhere. Drone Control can enhance exploration, taking a drone onto a planet's surface for instance.

Builder seems to be the ONLY option that allows the Ship to participate. I'm assuming I can change my avatar here to be whatever I want, and as per the Role focus I can "feel" as they would. The main difference between those two seems to be a lack of existing story or characters.

Arcology CYOA anon here. Work is still progressing despite the lectures. I'm still working on the foundations (It's already terribly oversized), but I have a little issue:

The more developed an arcology is, the lower the percentage of citizens that are required to keep the thing running and the mouths fed drops, which leaves room for more intellectual pursuits. But I'd like to avoid a situation where every non-essential citizen is turned into a soldier, scientist or propagandist. I'd like to give value to the artists, musicians, philosophers and actors. Some societies will be entirely focused on culture, so it would be bad if these citizens were of absolutely no use while still consuming scarce resources. What benefits beyond a boost to happiness could these people present to your society?

TL;DR: How do I make artists sufficiently useful that you'd consider taking them in instead of using their living quarters for scientists capable of developing direct neural access to the internet for you?
