Don't expand upon calth, use calth to expand your forces
No point in taking Golg as you have a free elites slot, and if they're footslogging they'll get nowhere, also you need a warsmith praetor to use this RoW
Likewise, contemptor needs drop pod or other transport to not die, if you're going for melta then a cortus is better as you can run into that melta range one turn earlier, also take 50:50 melta:las in lists so you can counter armoured ceramite
If you're playing HoO it's either mass tank, mechanised tacs, or mass tacs, your list is none of these.
Whilst sharpnel bolts are fluffy, even against guard they fail, so take autocannons as they're free

Well, if you're defintely going with Autek Mor's force, you could just keep your right pauldron (and maybe arm) red, and do grey faceplates/left arms. I mean, you could even mix it up between models, and cannobalize dofferent armour marks to spread around between models in a unit. Just keep the majority of the model black and you're good.

You could take Skorr and run Pride of the Legion to run a 'So many choices !' army.
Or the Coils + Skorr + proteus for the 6+ reserve rolls, or Alpharius instead of Skorr so that half of your opponent's reserves are actually yours.
Or take Dynat and two Saboteurs, people tend to rage when their 400 point spartan just blew up because some dick just strolled onto the table somewere.
Personally I have Meltabombs and a Powerdagger on every sergant. People who deep strike walkers despair at the fact that there is nothing they can charge that is incapable of blowing up their precious. The powerdagger is hilarious when you roll that Rending hit in a challenge against a sergant with powerfist and artificer.

I only run powerfist + dagger on units that actually want to end up in CC.

My Master of Signal once got 3 jetbike kills with his dagger, before the rest of the jetbikes failed the Ld test and were caught in the sweeping advance. That'll teach 'em to charge my unit of plasma's with MoS attached !

One other time a tactical squad sergant was the only one left after a squad of flamers shot at them. Flamers charged, my Sergant got 2 rending hits with his dagger, passes all his armour saves, wins combat, and wipes out the flamer squad in the sweeping advance.

This is why powerdaggers are amazing xD

My only issue is that the WS scheme doesn't really work with traditional color theory, especially if you use ivory as their base color as the novels suggest. I guess it does work if you use a cool (bluish) white - more of a very light gray. No such thing as pure white once you've started fighting.

World Eaters are basically the same but you don't see many complaints about painting them.

So, I'm actually having more fun with my shitty chinese Spartan Assault Tank than I thought I'd have.

One of the mufflers from the back are missing, so I'm making two new ones out of a land raider redeemer's flamestorm cannons. I have to sculpt new wiring for the quad lascannons, add a bunch of extra plating and tracks to replace/cover up damage, and generally deck the thing out in customization to get it looking halfway passable.

The only difference is that vets get free combat blades (most people attach them to the backback) and have more weapon options. Build them with bolters and leave out the blade for a normal tactical marine. Or buy special weapon sets from FW and make them support or heavy support squads. Only the two Vindicators and Stormlord would start on the table, Dreadclaw would arrive behind the enemy line on turn one and the Veterans would outflank *hopefully* turn 2. The Inductii squads would ride in the Stormlord and the Butchers + Gahlan + Kharn would make a mini deathstar. The only thing I'm unsure about at this point are the Terminators in the Dreadclaw, the Vindicators seem like a good idea but I'm open to suggestions.

I don't know whether I have OCD or not but I really like symmetrical armies, which is why I have 2 x Inductii squads, 2 x Vet Squads, 2 x Vindicators....

I didn't give many upgrades to the dudes. Suppose your opponent has a pair of Medusas in one corner and a team of quad mortars in the other. What do you do? You can drop pod onto one of them (probably the quad mortars, since they really have to be assaulted to be killed) but you don't really have anything that can shoot the Medusas at range except the Stormlord's sponsons. The answer for Medusas would be trying to clip both with a single Vindicator blast, or just one. Machine spirit would mean they'll both have effectively a 36 inch range. The lascannon sponsons are sortof my backup plan in that regard. for any sort of mortar team/rapier battery I'd be hoping my sniper vets could outflank on the side they're on, otherwise I'd move the dreadclaw with the terminators inside to assault it turn two if all else fails. my goal isn't to have both entire armies in the enemy deployment zone, but to make use of terminators/veterans with implacable advance deep striking/outflanking so they can at least shoot FROM their deployment zone so they can get FNP and hold objectives. the deathstar in the stormlord is a giant distraction kharnifex.

Unless you're talking about glazing in which case DA would just become "dark silver" and IH would just be "dark gray".
