I actually feel like getting rid of the battle cry would ruin the Hanged. The unintentional sexual innuendo of their battle cry is actually one of the reasons they became so popular in the first place, it's part of their charm. Otherwise they'd be lost In The archives as just some dime-a-dozen homebrew chapter.

I feel like the "Take the knot" would be a non-issue as long as the Chapter was baddass or competent enough, and would actually contribute to their charm. A chapter that accidentally keeps making sexual innuendos with out realizing seems pretty good as long as they have other cool features.

With a battlecry like "take the knot!" i vote we rename The Hanged to The Hung.

You see, The Hung are actually a secret project created by a joint project between the Iron Hands, The Mechanicus, and The Black Ships. An entire chapter composed of celibate blanks, having much of their flesh replaced with machinery to create the most incorruptible chapter known to The Emperor.

The Hung serve as extremely effective defenses against the forces of chaos; often serving as distraction to allow other chapters a surprise "rear entry" maneuver as The Hung dance around the enemy's front spearhead using their masterful baiting to wear down the enemy. To maintain their secrecy The Hung are rarely given any form of weaponry or vehicles, but their melee tactics are unmatched as they dance around the enemy "playful as a kitten", then plunge their fists deep into their enemy when they've lowered their guard. It could be said that with full chapter power The Hung could even take on the forces of chaos in the warp directly, however their submissive nature prevents them, as they serve as powerful bottoms to support the rapid offensive thrusts of their allied chapters.

When The Hung are not busy ravaging chaos they spend their spare time in agriworlds, helping local townspeople, and breaking their backs on various mountainous terrains to establish terraced fields that would have taken too long for mere mortals to construct. After all, their devotion to their fellow man is undying. When The Hung "pull out" of their local agriworld they do whatever it takes to give the villagers a happy ending to their encounter, boosting morale significantly.

However, due to the fact that they require blanks to maintain themselves The Hung are always low on recruits, so, if you wish to repay them for their work, The Hung only ask of you one simple question in return.
