I'd say something like this. The government isn't just going to shadow you away into a black bag. You have magical powers, they're going to try and keep you content and working for them.

If you reveal it in public on a grand scale or otherwise, you're probably going to end up with a big government check for just staying in the country and treating the terminally ill, rather than going to china and curing all the lung disease or something.
