If you have more cards in your Deck than your opponent: Send cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard until you have the same number of cards in your Deck as your opponent.

Yosenju: easy to wrap your head around Pendulum and Xyz summoning and resource management.

Pendulum summoning is easy. Pendulums are monsters 90% of the time, though they can also be activated in the 'pendulum zone' as spell cards. While they're in the pendulum zone, you use their pendulum effect.

Once per turn, if you have 2 pendulum scales active, you can look at the red and blue diamonds on them--their scales. Then, you can pendulum summon any monsters from your hand or faceup in your extra whose LEVEL is BETWEEN those two scales. If you have a scale 1 and a scale 5, you can summon levels 2,3, and 4. If you have a scale 3 and 6, you can summon levels 4 and 5. If you have a scale 5 and 7, you can summon level 6. If you have scale 9 and 10, you can't summon anything. All monsters pendulum summoned hit the field at the same time, so if you, for example, have Maxx C active, you get 1 draw, even if they summon 5. Also, if you have something like bottomless, all the monsters summoned get hit.

if, for whatever reason, a pendulum--either a scale or a monster--were to leave the field and go to the graveyard, whether it's destroyed, tributed, sent for a fusion or synchro summon, or just sent, it goes to the extra deck, faceup. this does not count if the activation or summon is negated, since they never hit the field.

Currently playing Metalfoes. One of the funnest, most powerful degenerate decks I've played in a long time. I just teched in a Qliphort Monolith/Scout set and some Summoners arts so Cyber Dragon Infinity is free as fuck in this set. Not to mention Gofu lets me shit out Omega and Tzolkin/Crystal Wing like it ain't a big deal.

havent played in ages. i stopped around when pendulum what evers were starting up. is it worth getting back in? i played noble knights, lightswrons (when i wanted to be a dick) and a burn deck when i felt like doing literally nothing. would it be worth it to get into it again?

It's a little bit annoying but currently pretty balanced. Konami has this issue where they decide they wanna move new Pendulum cards so they create new support cards, accidentally make pendulums obnoxious and broken as fuck, and then have to neuter them like crazy to try to correct their mistake.

Depends on what you mean by "Works". I play with a few friends and I can eke out wins with Boxers against more powerful stuff, and they're cheap. You can also get most of an archetypes non-broken cards on the cheap sometimes too.

They're not especially good, no.

I mainly like them because making most of my plays as reactions to what my opponent does during their turn is a playstyle that really appeals to me. Having the ability to set my field up to give a constant threat towards pendulums or people that try to set a bunch of backrow because of the option of synchro climb to Phoenixion is also really enjoyable.

The new Synchro is also probably my favourite boss monster that's been released in a while so that also helps with my enjoyment of the deck. Just banishing their shit and then having the option of stealing it later on if they manage to kill your thing is great.

So I was wondering, what kind of cards or mechanics would you like to see in the future? I'd like to see something like the kaladesh energy system get made into cards for yu gi oh. That and give us more Kozmo type cards, that combine movie franchises with other things. Would love to see something based of the avengers, or the matrix.

I'm looking to start up with a structure deck and i narrowed it down to master of pendulum and synchron extreme. which would you recommend? synchro summoning sounds fun, but so does pendulum summoning.

as for those choices, go for synchron extreme. Pendulums are actually a pretty weak mechanic, and that deck in particular got neutered by 2 banlists.
