What is your favorite option/power/waifu in any cyoa and why do you like it so. Try not to jump strait to immortality, please.
>>

Unlimited and unrestrained sexuality. Succubi or other supernatural beings that can shapeshift and keep me hard forever. Stuff like that. The reason I like it is obvious.

>>
>>49548858
Anons want their waifu to be perfect and flawless and bland and without any surprises or other upsetting things.

Of course, that such a perfect creature would find anything appealing about someone worthless enough to resort to waifuism must be completely glossed over. Especially don't mention that the more absurdly unconditionally accepting the waifu needs to be has an inverse correlation with how much an anon is willing to exhibit such things towards her.

That's retarded. So let's say the currency "X" is worth half a dollar. So you get either 1M dollars or the equivalent of 2M Xs.

Where does greater value come in here? Do you get more than 2M Xs, in which case you can trade them in for more than 1M dollars?

>>
>>49548991
Political subject.

I subscribe to an ideology that most people already seriously dislike anyway, so her being loud and obnoxious about my most hated ideology would be closer to a normal person than what most people would get from the option.
>>
>>49548781
Well it wasn't immortality anyway, and my real favorite is something people generally hate so I won't bother bringing that up, so I'll go with being adept with telekinesis. It just makes for a cool gimmick. I don't take it every single time though, it depends on the other options available.

>>49548858
Knowing what my companions are good at so I can know what I have to be good at. I'm typically willing to accept a few radical personalities if it means higher effectiveness overall. But obviously if we're going on an adventure towards some major goal, I'd prefer they not try to fuck off or betray the rest of the group.

If you're talking about characters that only exist to fulfill waifu quotas, then their personality and skills do still matter, but now I have to find them attractive as well. I'm willing to go a ways further for them, pushing aside what would be ideal if it meant things would work. I've taken characters no one else would from time to time because I thought it would be entertaining. I have no interest in being romantically involved with a guy. Or being the little girl, for that matter.
>>
>>49549009
It will be fine, take my word for it.
>>
>>49548781
I always look for shapeshifting first. It has to be permanent to permanent form to count as what I enjoy about it is chaning your (or other people's) "true" form. And it also has to allow human shapeshifting as I really don't care about turning into animals or whatever.

She didn't tell me to "challenge depressive thoughts", but she did say to ask people stuff/talk to people before my brain kicks in and gives me all the reasons why I would be a bother to them and they wish I didn't talk to them and would just go away.
Basically, act before my brain fucks me over.
She was really focused on me talking to strangers and believes that will fix everything, so that was the only thing she wanted to focus on.
I don't really have depressive thoughts, I think. It's more, it's like seeing a 2 second video in my brain of me killing myself. i stopped crying randomly/in bed, so that's good. I guess feeling like a bother to other people counts as depressive thoughts?
>>49546416
But i did try to seek help.
My big trouble is I have no reason to feel bad. There's nothing wrong with me, I have food and shelter, so I don't know where to start. I just want to not think or feel, or, even better, have someone else take over my life, someone who's better than me. Then no one gets hurt. It's better for everyone.
I agree, at some point I will crash and burn in a glorious blaze.

Black Dragon
Vow of Hedonism
+1 Magic (Divination, Information Control)
+2 Cross Magic (Gold Dragon=Leadership and Seduction)
+1 Physical
+1 Physical Both Forms

While hedonism is my sustenance and curse, there is very little stoppign me from gaining a great deal of temporal power as well, especially being smarter as well stronger, faster, and more hardy as both a human and a dragon. With the power of divination I will seek out information and knowledge, both of those who can feed my hungers and to control those who might oppose me. Other will be unable to divine my own secrets - information manipulation can be iused to the detriment of others as well as for my own gains. Seduction and leadership will allow me to create a cult and following, a network of loyal and dedicated spies, lovers, dealers, and enablers. My own venomous will be the most wicked tool in my arsenal, for the ability to convince others to do work for me will lead to the creation of psychotropic drugs of a kind heretofore unknown, with many varying properties tailored to suit my varied needs.

I may not rule the world, but the underworld is mine forever; like black Nidhogg, I will poison the roots of the tree of the world, and it will nourish me in it's agonizing pain and suffering. Those who oppose me will suffer, rather than die, for long before they know of me, I will know of them, and their secrets will fall to my talons and hands, and become known to all who would be their enemies as well. Their power will fall to ruin beneath them at my whim, and only be my allowance will they recover.

Fear the Dark Serpent, and know that your days as free men and women are numbered....even if you will not serve me, you will nourish me with your desires and depravities, and you will enslave yourself to them, for me.

if you want to start making small amounts of money without needing to interact with anyone ever, you could look into uhrs.

The "challenge depressive thoughts" thing is basically CBT. You could look through this: https://iveronicawalsh.wordpress.com/chronological-best-ordering-of-posts-so-you-have-a-beginning-a-middle-and-an-end/

Aren't you female? Guys mostly care about bodies, not which are within your control. It wouldn't be too hard to get a proper diet and physical routine, and shouldn't require challenging any of your issues. Cooking (nutritious stuff) and bodyweight fitness could even become constructive hobbies. And whoever's covering your living expenses would likely appreciate you doing the cooking.

But then, maybe it's a bad idea to take advice from anyone who knows how to NEET.
That's what depression is. It's basically your brain not giving you enough dopamine, so even if things are going okay, then you just feel like everything is going wrong. It's okay to feel like that. You don't have to have a reason for it, because feelings are, by definition, not logical.
Hey guys. I'm working on a back to college cyoa. I'm pretty much done with the outline, but I want to know what you guys would like to see in it.

Yes, one of the drawbacks is having one of those lousy teachers who changes the slide before you are done with your notes.
>>
>>49551153

But what if I never went to college?
>>
>>49551144
>No?
The CYOA you threatened to withhold was Aphrodite.
>>
>>49551163
Well, now your going! Simple as that. And if you're halfway through it, you will get sent back to the beginning but with a few bonuses.
>>
>>49551153
Already said I want a professor who doesn't change the slide.
How about professors who actually put up their slides before the lecture, and put up what pages in the book they will be covering?
I fucking hate you, professor who fails to do both. No, putting up what pages you need to have read to understand what the fuck you're talking about, the day before your lecture, is not fucking okay fuck.
>>
>>49551191

So wait, your real life actually influences the CYOA?
>>
>>49551153
Perks:
Eidetic memory
Good at improv' for presentations
Sex for grades
Gourmet Cafeteria
>>
>>49551194
I'll consider it. Most of these were meant to be personal boons, but I'll see what I can do.

Also, the drawback I mentioned is only half correct; Sometimes he keeps the slide up for so long you won't be able to get everything covered in a class session.

>>49551215
Somewhat. If you want it to. I thought it would add a level of intrigue to the cyoa. In truth, the amount your real life affects is so minor it doesn't even count that much.

>>49551219
No sex for grades.
Eidetic memory is not included, but something like it will be added.
Everything else I will consider.
>>
>>49551153
>tfw gave up on notes during Prof. Quick-Slide's class and drew pokemon in my notebook while listening to lecture.
Clubs are nice. I remember this weekly board game thing at my college. I also was in a group with the guy that made the local Smash Bros chapter... all that melee... so liitle 4u... other than that it was good. Still roll20 & Overwatch with board game ppl.
Include meal plans, even though they are a waste of money. For realism.
Umm... you could include the professor that cancels the final because they just don't want more to grade. Or the one that actually takes class outside when everyone asks. Or the one that teaches Calc like a kindergarden class... but it works very well.
>>
>>49551194
Ya know the best professors I had ever had were the ones that just wrote a notepad and marker with them and manually wrote out the lecture material as he went through them on a projector.

Teleportation. When i have superpowers i always afraid of imprisonment as surely government and others would try to capture any superpowered individual if they ever learn about it, also let's me do whatever as they can't get me into prison for normal crimes too. If there are other supers this is also a f orm of defense as you can pick you battle and evade those who are too stronk for you. And is counts as money option too, as you can steal whatever you need. All in all a super verstile power which can basically substitute for many other powers and is super useful.

>I'm sorry for bringing up posts from last thread.

It's alright, I had to go to sleep before the thread was dead so I was kind of hoping things rolled over, because I forgot to recommend something.

If your therapist/doc/shrink/whatever won't prescribe you antidepressants to help solve your issue, you can always take a different route and try self-medicating. Generally that's a bad idea and I strongly advise against doing anything your doc doesn't order, but I've actually seen friends go on antidepressants that didn't sit well with them, so I wanted to help and looked for alternatives. It's not completely legal in the US, several states including my own sadly have banned it thanks to a bunch of idiots on youtube, but you should see if salvia divinorum is legal where you live or not. If it is, buy a plant or two. Forget processed salvinorum-a, you want the actual plant so you can use the leaves to make tea to drink. Last I heard, it's not recommended by any professional as there have been no official studies for its effectiveness in treatment of depression, but you can find firsthand stories of people who have drank tea or just chewed on a leaf and pulled themselves out of it. Higher doses can make you hallucinate for about fifteen minutes, which is why it's illegal in some places, but it's hard to reach that amount with just the plant by itself. Instead all it makes you feel, from what I've read, is an increase in your overall mood. Happiness comparable to the afterglow you get from having sex.

If you're depressed but not bad enough to get anything more than the professional equivalent of "deal with it" and you're desperate for anything, if it's an option in your area you might want to discuss it with your therapist or doctor and give it a try. If you do, I really hope it gives you the balance you need, or that even mentioning it gets you a script for something useful.

These have absolutely nothing to do with versatility, and are a lot less influential than some of the things portals can do.

And portals are actually easier to use while moving; you can alter your direction fairly intuitively (straight into one portal, straight out of another), and speed is fairly easy if you have a ramp or tall empty space nearby.

Your right, I should. It's just that the removal of sleep seems to be the most useful to me. People still like to enjoy a good meal or soda, but sleep is just something else entirely.

With that said, I have been wondering something; what would happen if all of a sudden, half of the world's population no longer needed to sleep and felt constantly energized, while the other half no longer needed to consume and felt constantly full and the drink equivalent of full?

Convenient teleportation.

As we all know, convenient teleportation would be the comfiest superpower ever. Not the most powerful, not the most useful for humanity, but the absolute most convenient.

I would never have to pay to travel anywhere ever again, save for customs fees if I'm going to another country. And maybe not even then, considering I could teleport out of any jail cell. Never pay bus fare again. If someone half the world away I care about NEEDS my help, I can be there. Can deliver quick "hellos" to distant family members.

The applications are vast, and that's excluding any result that actually lets me /make/ money off of it instead of just saving money.

I know, it just feels wrong to drink when you don't need too. If you're going to enjoy food anyways, then what's the point of eating outside of pleasure? And If that is the reason why you where eating, then you probably didn't need that power anyways.

It just feels wrong to eat when you have a power that makes you not need to eat.

In fact, the more I think about it, those without the need to eat would do quite well in third world countries, where food is scarce. Here, they would rise above.

Because a lot of fat people eat for psychological reasons. Look at fatties who get their stomach reduced so they can only handle 100 ml at any time.
They still keep fucking eating. They eat so often they stretch their lap band and the volume return to before the surgery.

Your mistake is looking at hunger and eating from a purely (physiological) needs perspective. We have passed that decades ago. You no longer eat purely to survive.

I'd like /cyoa/'s opinion on a few things.

What do you think of rolling cyoa? (think: random.org or rolling in the options field.)

CYOAs with multiple pages? And, on that score, how many pages is *too* many?

Do you prefer it when a CYOA challenges the player with a low point allotment for making builds, or do you like having enough points (and options, on that note) to achieve the epic hero/titan/god status? Following that: what do you think of having to penalize yourself for even more points?

Disqus.
>>
Now hold on, if Beri is a girl, why did she include a become a girl-option with each waifu in Branching Hearts?
Why does she like waifus so much?
>>
>>49553161

You know what I hate? Not being able to pick as many drawback as you want to. If the player decides to screw themselves over, let them.
>>
>>49553184
This.
>>
>>49553161
>What do you think of rolling cyoa? (think: random.org or rolling in the options field.)
I choose to get whichever result I think is best without going through the actual randomization process. Granted, I then tend to not post the resulting build, but hey.
>CYOAs with multiple pages? And, on that score, how many pages is *too* many?
It's not the pagecount, it's the amount of desirable choices.
>Do you prefer it when a CYOA challenges the player with a low point allotment for making builds, or do you like having enough points (and options, on that note) to achieve the epic hero/titan/god status?
The latter.
>Following that: what do you think of having to penalize yourself for even more points?
If you meant "having the option of taking drawbacks to get more points", then sure. Might not do it, depending on the other options and the drawbacks themselves, but having the option is nice.
>>
>>49553171
#1: Wait, is Beri actually a girl? I could never tell if people were being serious or just memeing about that.
#2: If Beri is a girl, the "be the girl" options are probably just there because it's wish fulfillment for a lot of posters.
>>
>>49553161
The balance of points is an important part of a CYOA to me if they have points. I don't want to be handed everything. I want to have to make choices, sometimes difficult ones. But don't restrain me by forcing me to take a ton of penalties if I want anything good.
>>
>>49553161
>RYOAs?
The biggest issue with them revolves around the "roll your post number/the dice and look at your results" problem, which begets "rollan" posts with no content that people rarely comment on after it's all said and done. It's like AI levels of dumbposting, and they're banned outside of /b/ anyway according to the rules yet still come up here. You could equate it to people who only post what choices they make and nothing else, but at least those highlight what people find attractive in the CYOA.

>Can CYOAs be too long?
No. The problem with CYOAs that are "too long" is that it's a pain in the ass to post something like 15+ images(arbitrary number, people can have higher or lower numbers of pages they're willing to post), so they tend not to get reposted, so people don't find out about them other than through word of mouth or going through the archives/drives. Shorter CYOAs have an advantage over them in this way. They also lose to shorter CYOAs in sense that people also have different levels of tolerance related to actually reading the content. There's nothing you can do about this, but you can make the CYOA as long or as short as you want.

>Low or high point amounts?
Balanced, leaning towards high. I feel no enjoyment from picking one in a situation where I feel as though I would need five or six to have a decent chance. Too high can also be problematic, however.
>Low or high power?
Either, though I lean towards high for my personal enjoyment. I can have fun with low depending on the setting, however.

>Drawbacks?
Sure, as long as they're balanced.
>>
>>49553161
>What do you think of rolling cyoa? (think: random.org or rolling in the options field.)

Not really a fan.

>CYOAs with multiple pages? And, on that score, how many pages is *too* many?

They're not a problem. They can't always be done the first time I see one, but eventually I'll make time and read through it all to figure out a build, even if it's too late to post one. As long as you don't have a bunch of pages with lots of blank space it's never really an issue.

>Do you prefer it when a CYOA challenges the player with a low point allotment for making builds, or do you like having enough points (and options, on that note) to achieve the epic hero/titan/god status? Following that: what do you think of having to penalize yourself for even more points?

It really depends on what the cyoa is trying to accomplish. One of the comfy cyoas feels like it has too many points to me, but I'll never complain about it, especially since the lore fluff says you're probably going to end up getting everything you didn't already get later on anyway. On the other end of the spectrum, I saw a gender-bender-adventure cyoa on a /d/ thread that had far too few points and a requirement to take an option from every section "except drawbacks", which were unofficially required anyway thanks to high costs for everything else.

Just figure out what you want to do and try to balance things in such a way that someone could make a moderately powerful/optimal/whatever build without needing drawbacks and you'll be alright.

On each of those points, it can vary quite a bit. A lot of it has to do with the execution, but as some general guidelines, IMO:
>rolling cyoa
I generally don't care for them, at least not the 'here is 20 options, roll for one of them' kind. It kind of takes the C out of CYOA. But once in a while I'll see something that incorporates it into a larger framework, such as 'now that you have your build, what is your quest?' or 'this is what the RNG says, do you roll with it or spend points to change it?' or even just 'a bad stuff happens, what now?'. It doesn't really add anything on it's own, but it can certainly add another layer of considerations onto what options you pick.

>multiple pages
don't have anything against it inherently, but all too often it's the mark of a bloated, uninteresting CYOA. Typically in the form of 7 pages of companions that all blend together. Or 4 pages of setting info that really doesn't add all that much. You can throw as many choices in as you want, but unless they are on some level -interesting choices-, then you're just shooting yourself in the foot. Sometimes you can use useless options as a counterpoint to set tone and funnel people toward the 'good' options, but if no one is picking something, then what was the point?

>point allotment
It varies. A lot of it depends on the tone and the setting of the CYOA; how much of a power fantasy, how much you want people to feel like they're just scraping by, how much competition you want in the setting. But again, the key is INTERESTING choices. If you have enough points to get everything you want, is it really that interesting? Is the setting so hostile that people feel like they have to min-max to hell just to have a chance? Are the drawbacks of the 'ruin your life for an extra trinket' variety? There's really no 'wrong' way to go about doing this kind of stuff, but it certainly helps to think a bit about balance and tone. Options don't exist in a vacuum.

I kind of like this option, but even though there's a bit of a physical description and that there's some simplicity to their minds, I can't seem to be able to picture how they perform their duties, or work with everyone else.

So my question is, is there some canonical point of view as to how this creature needs to be interpreted from a interpersonal and duty-related point of view?

I mean, it's a creature that will otherwise be completely out of place everywhere, pretty much, so how much leverage do we have (to be consistent with the world) as to how we can interpret this pick we have?

Another option i favourit is generally anything that has to do with a nature affinity. Like the ability to gain power from plants and animals. Either to borrow the powers of animals, or to see through their perspectives or to gain healing power from plants and special grottos that only you can find. I made a kid of 15 years old called Ian Gladstone who had these abilities from touching the standing stones as part of a CYOA set in the real world .

When making a CYOA, I never just highlight something in a dashed box and drag the corners. That's a bad idea. Doing something like opening the image you want to resize in its own window/tab & using Image > Resize (or similar) results in the highest quality.
Or wait, did you literally mean compress, as in reduce file size? As long as you're compressing (saving) to a non-lossy format (PNG) the file will look just as good as it did in your editor.

>>49550121

Does anyone tend to certain patterns in these? I frequently choose manipulation/mindfuck powers like mind control, illusions, etc when given the option.
>>
>>49555569
Yeah, to scale images, you want to open them for editing (don't paste them into the CYOA).
Then, at the top, click something akin to IMAGE > RESIZE and enter the new dimensions. This is going to be the highest quality you can get. Doing it this way results in higher quality than just selecting the image and dragging the corner. If that isn't good enough for you, maybe try doing IMAGE > RESIZE in a better editor, like Photoshop.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that it's probably a variety of reasons. Some people want to use it to look like a more ideal themselves. Some people want to look like someone completely different, including the surprisingly common tranny anons around here, but not only them. Some people want to use it to change their body all the time as if it was their wardrobe, again for various reasons ranging from personal pleasure to the utility of not incriminating yourself and being able to start relationships over. And so on.

Okay, so I'm dreaming. So far, so good. This is a rather cozy abode you have here, Eros.

Anyway, this is a rather difficult choice. Paranoia's power is neat and Megumi is adorable, but I'm pretty sure it still means if I die in the game I die for real. James sounds like he could use someone to vent to, and Kolokythi's power is also pretty useful, but I have to remember Eros' intentions. Then of course there's Alice/Ptoma. There are worse fates than being a non-decomposing zombie. Wonder if I'd be infectious.

As for Samantha/Nevna, incorporeality is an amazing power, but I must admit I am not exactly the solid rock she is looking for. Faithfulness I can do, but with no income on my part there'd be nothing in it for her.

On the other hand, Lydia solves that to a T, but I don't think my own family would appreciate me marrying into money instead of learning to work.

Maybe even have two play modes: Trick or Treat (lighthearted) and Ghoulish (everything is actually terrifying and everyone is liable to either go insane or forget the were ever human should your quest fail)?

Talking about Beri and depression las thread, I guess only today I saw this CYOA on his folder.

Did anyone figured out a way to save the girl without you diyng?

I suppouse you could try to brutally murder her and hope the phoenyx feather to revive her without her illness, but doesn't seem very sure.

The best bet to me seems making other person take her illness throw the heart of darkness.
(Maybe the doctor? So you could take some of the itens back as a plus.)
But other than finding some other person that is already terminally ill or something that would mind much diyng earlier, or making threats to the family of somebody so he agrees to die for his family (or promissing to solve the problems that the family already have and are very big), I don't see any "elegant" solution to this problem, but well, I just read it.

Anyway, back when it was posted, was any consensus about some adequate solution?

You need to note that she herself has to agree to let someone take her illness. If it isn't someone that is already dying anyway, she's not really going to agree. You can either find some terminally ill person and get them to do it or if that fails, take some terminally ill person's illness so that you're terminally ill & then take her illness (she can't really refuse after you've given up your life anyway). If you do this, it is still possible to use the phone and memory-wipe to have her call you after you're dead, if that's any consolation.

You know, it's times like these that I overthink the consequences of CYOAs. Like, do you keep your memories in the dream/when you wake up? If so, you'll end up like the guy in Polaris and you'll question who you really are and what is real. What if your personality from each world starts to bleed over into the other and you develop some weird multiple personality disorder? If you consciously experience two personalities in two different worlds with two different sets of friends/enemies, who is really YOU? What does it really mean to be YOU?

Things get even stranger in Royal Revival where you died, then reincarnated in a different dimension, but then were brought back to life in another dimension, but you definitely have all of the memories of you from your normal not-princess life, but you're also steadily gaining back memories you didn't know you had. I don't really know where I'm going with this anymore.

tl;dr princesses cause existential crises or something

>>
>>49558246
I think you are right anon, if I may suggest, a little modification to it:
>take dragon orb
>use on her to forget the debt with the doctor
>take other itens
>use heart of darkness to take something that would kill you pretty bad, or at least, make you don't wanto to live anymore from other person (if you are in an hospital, maybe it would be easy).
>convince girl to give her illness to you since you are already in a terrible position anyway
>use cursed flames in the doctor to make him accept the heart of darkness as a gift, and then threat him to take your illness or you would make him die in an even more horrible way with cursed flame. Since he will keep the heart of darkness, at least maybe he will be able to make other person take the illness from him, so he should accept.
>transfer your illness.
>kill him with cursed flame before he tricks other person in taking his illness.
>take the heart of darkness back.

If you can only recieve the heart of darkness as a gift, and not take it from a dead body, maybe in the last steps you should convince someone to pretend to be tricked by the doctor (for instance patient that's almost dead of injury instead of illness), accept the heart of darkness from him, you murder the doctor, and take the heart of darkness from the pacient in exchange from curing him with the phoenyx feather.

Maybe the solution can have more alternatives, become more elegant, but I guess this is a good base.

I feel more relaxed now with this solution.
>>
>>49558456
Wait, there's a problem. This way I would have to give the feather to the pacient.

But this is actually even better.

The pacient would have to give the heart of darkness to me, I would take his physicla injuries, and than cure myself with the feather.

This way the patient has no reason to doubt me when I request that he give me the heart of darkness, and he would benefit from it.

Keep the itens, keep you life, keep the girl, kill the doctor and save a random patient. Seems a pretty good result.

>either take this deadly disease or burn to death in 1 second

Tempting offer.
>>
>>49558571
>burn to death in 1 second

Who said anything about 1 second?
It would just burn him enough that he would have a sure but very painful and slow death.

Taking the disease he would "at least" have the option to both live a little more, or just kill himself in a less painful way.

But in this case, he would also have the Heart of Darkness, and with it, the possibility of maybe having someone take the heart of darkness from him and then taking the disease from him. So he would live without any health problems for a long time.

Bonus: You can start burning him, so that he still have a perspective to live, but with many injuries, motivating him even more to take the heart of darkness.

Also, if rationallity won't make him accept the offer, instinct to avoid the torture will.

But I guess it wouldn't be all that difficult to make an argument for him to accept before the torture start.

Another improvment in the solution:
If it seems hard to find a patient at the hospital with a grave injury that would agree with you, you could, instead use the prism to create a small conspiracy with your copies that don't look like you, and injury one of them.
So the moment that the doctor gives the heart of darkness to it, the plan would already end, and you would only need to kill the doctor. (Or ignore him and the next day erase his memories if possible).

Also, you could use the cristal rose to estimate the time that the doctor would do his things so you could act at the best moment for each stage of the plan.

I don't see much use of the other itens for now.

These aren't my type of cyoa for various reasons. But I do appreciate stuff like:

>She loves music and has a celeb crush on Jensen Ackles.

...which bypasses the usual formulaic statement of sexuality and introduces it as part of her personality. You somewhat moot this in the beginning by saying love can change anything, of course, but I still think it's a good bit of writing.
>>
>>49558821
>You moot this
You act like celebrity crushes are some kind of permanent and serious thing, even for single girls. Of course that shit'd die out when she has an actual boyfriend.
>>
>>49549485
>take my time designing myself as the perfect adorable waifu
>all the heroes are female

Well that was a waste of time
>>
>>49558861
True, but not my point. I'm saying it's a nice suggestion of her straightness even though the beginning text says that love will lez her if need be.
>>
>>49558922
Oh, I see your point. Though to be fair, her having crush on a male doesn't mean she's exclusively interested in males, even if it's a context clue about her liking men or at least her taste in men.
>>
>>49558933
Dubs to dubs, what up.

Of course, that's basically a given for me. I guess that allows me to prefer organic writing, even if it informs incompletely. Just straight up naming someone's sexuality feels stilted to me.
>>
>>49558861
>Celeb crushes
>Die out as soon as she gets a boyfriend
Hahahahahaha, no.
>>
>>49559037
Just because your girlfriend was shitty doesn't mean these fantasy waifus will be, senpai.
>>
>>49556289
Megumi, spend our lives going on adventures in the realm of fiction.
>>
>>49554300
Yeah, I know… it's why I like taking the girl-option in a CYOA where you end up in a new family/fantasy world.
I just think my personality traits and wants would be better in a girl, you know? Like those traits would be more appealing to a partner.
>>
If you were theoretically stuck on an abandoned space station with a spacefuture 3d printer that can do printing things really well, and had to use a limited amount of 3d printing juice to make what you needed to survive an onslaught of evil space invaders, what sorts of things would you want? You've got enough time to set up defenses, maybe find a survivor in the ducts, but you don't really have enough resources to make a ship and escape.
>>
>>49559532
Guns.
Inordinate amounts of guns.
>>
>>49559532
Didn't see the last part.

Basically, I want guns, and traps, and carbon-nanofiber barricades.
>>
>>49559532
How intelligent are the evil space invaders? It's an abandoned space station, so I'm assuming they're either some horror project gone right or space pirates who've come to strip the ship of its resources. Or a third option, the faction who used to own the space station has come to torch it just to cover their tracks.
>>
>>49551098
>Hikikomori
Fuck I wish this CYOA was true, this sounds like paradise.
>>49553154
Online.
>>
>>49559532
Protective Armor
Solar Panels if we have some way of installing them outside the space station to squeeze out some extra power
Direct Energy Weaponry powered by said solar panels
Explosives to blow out compromised compartments within the space station
Last ditch melee weapons from batons to chainsaws and power fists
drones
conventional guns but unlike the solar panel/laser gun combo requires the 3d printer to eat up more resources to make the ammo
And maybe do some gene modding, if this is a extremely advanced 3d printer that can also print and graft on extra organs and limbs
>>
>>49559606
I'll probably have to go over to /k/ to learn a little bit more about guns. My knowledge is very brief on anything that isn't a muzzle-loading musket. Of which I have five.

>>49559609
Plausibly. I probably should specify that it would be orbiting a barren rocky world that's had all the easily accessible metals taken from it.

>>49559616
I figure that I'll give you guys the means to set up traps. Nanowire, steel plates, fine machined trigger mechanisms, spray canisters of acid, etc.

>>49559620
That is an excellent question. I'm going to go with "bestial". Something like a life form that floats through space until it comes into contact with an environment, then it metamorphoses into a hunter that devours everything it can before spraying its eggs into orbit.

>>49559651
Looks like a pretty good list. Had some ideas I hadn't thought of. I'll try to think of ideas for maybe some quick grafts. It might take finding a companion that could apply them, though.
>>
>>49559532
Spike strips, sonic deterrents if I'm familiar enough with the beasties to make them effective, poisoned bait, communications with companions, security cameras.

Maybe include some items available from the station itself, like a generator, fire extinguisher, fuel, forklift or what have you.

If you really want to capture my autism, draw up a site map with benefits and drawbacks for basing the defense in various rooms.

>>49553161
Power. Such power. But what sort of power is it? What should I use?

Of the major Powers, all but the Contract intrigue me greatly. Therefore, I shall leave the choice between the Mind, the Earth, and the Body to fate.

Of the minor powers, I find the Power of Tongues, the Power of Health, and the Power of Music to be the most appealing.

Of the items in question, I dare say I would most enjoy the protective power of the Stone.

Lastly, of the four Companions on offer, I feel most comfortable in the company of the Demon. Though, explaining that to my mother, or in fact anyone with religious inclinations, will be an uphill battle.
>>
>>49559886
It might take me a while to put the map together. I'll probably do a few other projects in between. Mostly because I'd have to re-download autocad because my autism demands that I draw it as an actual floor plan.
>>
>>49557450
>Did anyone figured out a way to save the girl without you dying?
it doesn't seem too hard at least initially if you used the monster gem with a bit of creativity

Focusing intently on a healing mythological creature like a Caladrius is an obvious option

Summoning a wish granter like a Djinn or even Pazuzu may even work since using magic to heal her illness doesn't necessarily give either of you supernatural abilities
>>
>>49559936
Whatever you can take on, friendo.
>>
>>49548781
I like my Kaleidoscope.

Space and Time manipulation is the shit. Specially when it comes with multiversal travelling.

I also always pick anything related to multiversal travelling/planeswalking
>>
>>49560171
I'd really actually like to do the map. It's just not going to be my main priority with the first draft. I tend to leave a lot of my projects mostly done, but not totally finished.
For example, I know I've got more angels to add to my angelic inheritance thing, but I want to get some more ideas out of my head before coming back to work on it. Got a few things banging around up in the old noggin. I've also got a few half-finished drafts that I've never put up here. Those are my first priority. I've ended up writing a lot more than I thought I would. Been more productive in the last few weeks than I've been in years.[/spoilers]
>>
>>49560325
You're either forgetting or just not mentioning how it also lets you use any power possessed by a fictional character or an alternate version of yourself.
>>
>>49556289
Maybe be more specific about Paranoia's fantasy worlds being dreams that FEEL real. Specifying that they are "entirely real" means that even if I can't take anything out of them, any physical changes that occur to me should carry over, and even if the magic doesn't work some results are permanent.

I guess I go with Paranoia anyway. Immortality is a non-negotiable in any way it's offered, but given the choice between being a zombie and living a frozen moment's eternity in a fantasy I'd choose the latter. Hell I probably don't even have to worry about her appearance (while in the fantasy) that way

Ignoring the immortality offers entirely, I think it's a choice between Medusa and Lilith. I really, REALLY don't like the trap succubus angle but it is the "be the girl" option. Snek is just a best and you got me with the neet thing, snek hair is still kind of creepy though.

Kit-Kat, I just finished that CYOA I mentioned. This thread is about to die, though, so I'll post it next one, if I don't leave for work by then.

I posted this here: >>49561224

>>49561234
that's... not how it works
>>
>>49561288
Why not? Because we MUST mix CYOA images with dumb shitstorming, otherwise it isn't the proper experience? You know we've had people complain about dumps a ton of times. This gets around the problem.
>>
>>49561312
people will discuss cyoas where they are posted
how would you even enforce that? there's already dumps in both threads
>>
>>49561324
Those aren't real dumps. I mean the 50 image + dumps that got people butthurt.

And obviously you just dump images into whichever thread isn't getting random conversation in.

>>49561345
Why are you so obsessed with having your own thread live? you can just make the next one.
