Not really. It seems like he's got a better supporting cast to balance him out and not turn it into and edgelord wank-off until one guy goes off the edge.

Also I found his dialogue to be more bearable than "FUCK YOU" so I had more of a fun time listening to it. Really it's just the general attitude that matches up, the moment you stop being triggered the characters have a lot of important differences.

To get back to the original point, I think what anon meant was that very often Inquisitor are depicted as grim, somemn individuals, while here we get an Acolyte that acts like an edgy teenage cunt. Sure he's an agent of the Inquisition, ans qure 40k is meant to be dark and edgy here and there, but it wasn't well put in the prologue.

Space marine armor is an entirely different story.

It's more than just armor after all, each set is a sacred and virtually irreplaceable relic oftentimes more valued than the marines themselves. The rituals required to simply clean and maintain the armor are likely incredibly involved, which isn't to say they aren't preformed almost constantly while the armor isn't in use, but the ritual may impede seeing the armor is polished to a shining finish.

Also cleaning can only go so far with suits of armor that have likely seen constant battle for hundreds of years.

Sure they could put on a fresh coat of paint, or buff out all the superficial nicks and scars, but it's be a lot of effort and you'd still risk pissing off the machine spirit.
