Pick your most played faction and then fill in the blanks:

_____: came for the ______, stayed for the _______

So, for example:

Yu Jing: Came for the Ninjas, stayed for the Heavy Infantry.

I just want to know what draws people to factions and what made people fall in love with it.
>>
>>49449787
Haqqislam: came for the doctors, stayed for the Fiday
>>
>>49449771
The solution's simple: We make the Blackjack model the Al-Fasid. Now everyone has rules AND models.
>>
>>49449787
Ariadna: came for the camo, stayed for the grunts.
>>
>>49449787

Haqqislam. Came for the assassins, stayed for the shotguns.
>>
>>49449787
Haqqislam: Came for Maghariba, stayed for the QK
>>
>>49449787
Shasvastii: Came for the subterfuge, stayed for the suffering.
>>
>>49449787
Yu Jing. Came for the alien minis, stayed for the gameplay.
>>
>>49449930
(I didn't say my first faction was the most played)
>>
>>49449787
Yu Jing: came for the Heavy Infantry, stayed for the state-sanctioned thought police
>>
>>49449787
PanO: Came for the Auxbots, stayed for the remotes

i like robutts
>>
>>49449787
Ariadna: came for the cute redhead chicks in short skirts, stayed for the sexy biker babes
>>
>>49450366
But anon, there is only one sexy biker babe in Ariadna.
>>
>>49450529
Isn't Babe a gender neutral term? Isn't it short for Baby and baby's gender neutral?
>>
>>49450559
While that's technically correct (the best kind of correct), the connotation is that babe=sexually attractive woman.
>>

>>49450669
It's sort of like if you image search the word "actor" you'll be hard pressed to find a woman even though the term is technically gender neutral nowadays. Results still show up either way, with "babe" or "actor."
>>
>>49449787

I wouldn't know because I can't find any lore besides unit entries. Is there a wiki or something?
>>
>want to play Ariadna
>its the most busted faction because Polacks spam the most boring shit in the army
>get called a furfag for wanting to run antipods and dog warriors

welp time to go be a racist space knight and DEUS VULT you cunts
>>
>>49450758
No wiki, just the occassional article on the main site itself.

Best I can give you is an official faction rundown
http://infinitythegame.com/sphere.php
>>
>>49450776
It's only busted if you choose to make it busted, anon. And even then dude spam isn't even that bad if you're prepared to counter it. It works very well against certain types of lists, but I've fucked a 24 order list with half that number before.

Play the faction you want. Don't be a self-conscious pussy. You apparently don't want to play Ariadna that much if you're backing off because some faggots whined at you.
>>
>>49449787
Nomads: came for the catgirl's ass, stayed for the Bandit's ass

Also, Best TAGs and miniTAGs of all time

I don't know. There's something about the Anaconda's design that really speaks out to me, personally.
>>
>>49450758
The major things to know that isn't unit entries is as follows, IIRC:

Humanity makes interstellar travel through set wormholes. Picture that wormhole near Saturn in interstellar.

In a major colonization project with international support, project Ariadna: a ship, was made to travel through a wormhole to planet Dawn. It was very expensive. Ariadna went through but the wormhole collapsed and the planet and colonizing people were lost for a century. This lead to a major economic disaster, which lead to a consolidation of major countries, boosted to the hyperpowers of PanO and Yu Jing. Humanity moved on but it turns out Ariadna people were left to fend for themselves relatively technologically backwards on an alien planet with hostile wolf creatures (the Antipodes). The rest of humanity managed to move on and successfully colonize some planets. Tensions rose, ALEPH was made, other A.I.'s were banned, Haqqislam grew and has a monopoly on SILK which is used for Resurrection, people surprisingly grew more religious, military orders made a comeback, Nomads were like "I don't like authority" and made their own societies in spaceships with one of them being a former prison ship, all that Jazz.

The only other major thing you may miss out on is that there used to be an artificial intelligence that was made and transcended to a higher plane of existence without its creators because it didn't deem them worthy, the creators got mad and made a second artificial intelligence to try to figure out what that first one did, but to be more like them and want to carry them with it, but the second intelligence wasn't as smart as the first because of the limitations, so instead it went all "I need more power" and became the Evolved Intelligence that leads the combined army who's job is to find that more power to process its original purpose.

At least, that's how I remember it. Anyone care to correct me?
>>
>>49451073

What I can't agree with is Japs ever being conglomerated along with Koreans and Chinks. Even in their current castrated, post-WWII state they'd rather slit their throats than be apart of some China-dominated hegemony.
>>
What do you guys think of this list?

>>
>>49451073
>people surprisingly grew more religious

Ugh, 40kisms
>>
>>49451091
Oh yeah, that complex. Basically, they react how you'd expect, generally considered second class citizens in the greater Yu Jing, many of them still fight for independence naming themselves after the war criminals called Kempeitai.
>>
>>49451107
They got more religious because the church had more power to bribe them. The PanO Catholic Church is basically a megacorporation that happens to run the biggest service that allows you to get a new body after death thanks to the cube implants. That's kinda huge, and explains why they have political import.

Then they also run a PMC for the Knights, which work for the PanO Military.

I'm not a great fan of that either, but it's part of why the Nomad 'space pagan' sect thinks the church sold it's soul for power with the devil (Aleph).

It's all from one of Infinity's main source materials, the 4-book 'Hyperion' series.
>>
>>49451135

Did they at least lose a very ugly war before being forced into this? And how did America/the West react? What was their level of involvement? Or did the just get bent over and accept this EU-sanctioned ass raping by what sounds like a Yurop wet dream?
>>
>>49451091
They certainly weren't happy about it. Their government only let it happen because the alternative was total economic collapse. The populace reacted very badly, which was rather counter-productive since it gave China an excuse to oppress the shit out of them.
>>
>>49451227

Again, why did America, Australia, the west in general, pull out of Japan? This is baffling to me.
>>
>>49451250
America got wrecked in a war with PanO, and went broke amongst other issues. They couldn't expand like the other space powers, and are basically a 2nd world country currently on Earth (along with Russia).
>>
>>49451225

The EU and America were in the middle of their own total economic collapse as they'd shunted huge finances into the aborted Project Ariadna. IIRC at this time PanO (At the time "just" Brazil+Argentina+India+Australia+Philippines+Indonesia) was also starting to step to the hugely weakened USA so it had its own problems.
>>
>>49451286

>America got wrecked in a war with PanO

so it IS a Yurop power fantasy!
>>
>>49451225
America died of self-inflicted nanobot AIDS after they picked a fight with PanO and were afraid they might lose (this was after they wasted ludicrous sums of money trying to get to the wormholes). That's why PanO was able to take Europe and YJ got Korea and Japan.

PanO probably could have helped the Asian countries, but they suffered from a terrible case of not giving a fuck.
>>
>>49451290

>Brazil, Argentina, Australia

>going anywhere but down the toliet

also

>PanO probably could have helped the Asian countries, but they suffered from a terrible case of not giving a fuck.

yeah no that sounds like a m issed opportunity at worst at best and completely retarded at worst
>>
>>49451301
Europe wasn't even in PanO at that point. And the US had just pissed trillions of dollars into space so it was hardly a fair fight.

>>49451333
If all the initial PanO countries got their shit together and joined forces, they'd actually end up pretty powerful. Hell, South America by itself could be a force to be reckoned with if it wasn't so divided and corrupt.

Key word there being "if", of course. None of those things are ever going to happen, but on a technical level they could.

And I think PanO was dealing with its own problems when Japan and Korea got eaten. They'd just finished a war against a powerful enemy, and stealing those countries away would mean pissing off China when they were vulnerable.
>>
So what are some neat vehicle models that would work as terrain in InfiNity?
I don't wanna just plop some 40k Chimeras on the table and call it USAriadna terrain.
>>
>>49449787
Nomads came for the power armor designs, stayed for the Ninja Turtles
>>
>>49451524
>And the US had just pissed trillions of dollars into space so it was hardly a fair fight.

Something that makes no logical sense when we are actively dismantling or privatizing our space exploration.
>>
>>49449787
Nomads: Came for the Daktari, stayed for the Uberfallkommando
>>
>>49451524

US of A would never let South America get its shit together is the thing. Most of the world doesn't want that, either.
>>
>>49451819

>>49451689
Antenociti does a bunch of cilivilian vehicles like a bus, a taxi, a sports car, some one seater cars like a future smart and some bikes.
They kinda look like anal toys though. They released some more variants with straight lines too recently though. They also have this beauty.

Mantic got a bunch of jetbikes and a flyer in their corporation(?) range for deadzone.

I'd also have a look at CNC workshops scenery. You can get the Borderland cars, some bikes and forklifts for industrial scenery or space ports etc from them.
They also have a small flyer and a steam boat. For all your shipyard and airport scenario needs.

Puppetswar sell a few aircraft too, with matching shipping crates. They also had a range of modular cars in the works called pegasus, not sure if that was released yet though.

Ainsty casting does a bunch of ruined vehicles. Mostly temporary stuff but as ruins. More suited to post apoc tables rather than polished anime sci-fi stuff. Depends on what flavor of Infinity you prefer.
They got a subway car that has crashed through the street from below though. That looks neat.
And loads of improvised barricades using tires.

Similarly armorcast has a set of crashed cars and scrapyard piles. Looks kinda retro future like.

Clear Horizon sell a Nemensis light strike vehicle that looks neat.

If you google for Louis Marx & Company Cars of the future car set you'll find an old toy set that also seemed to be popular amongst gamers. Kind a hard to find these days though.

Maxmini sells a hoverbike and a normal bike.

Micro art also had cars. Made of foam though instead of resin iirc.

ramshackle has a host of really cheap bikes and vehicle kits. Only the bikes would work as scenery next to infinity minis though.

Terra Gnosis has a few Mad Max&Borderlands inspired things. Again depends on the style you are going for.

That's all I can think of for now.
>>
>>49451051
I hate the head. It would be great otherwise. Geko is still my favorite TAG in the game.
>>
>>49451689
>>49452035
Oh yeah, last but not least the humble matchbox car from the toy aisle can come in handy. You can convert those too. Either make them look a little more futuristic or make wrecks out of them.
Matchbox also usually has a bunch of futuristic looking stuff. You could plopp the batmobile on the table and it would look at home next to the Infinity minis.

Hello, just getting started here with Haqq. I've played a couple games with a friend and we're planning on moving up from the base starters soon. Was wondering how this simple advancement from the base starter looks.

Thanks!
>>
>>49453726
2 Jan's is a bit of a overkill, especially in low point games. But the HMG model is totes mcgotes so go with it. My personal favorites are the Al Hawwa/Tuareg, Bashi Bazouk & Lasiq. Saladin + Fiday is a pretty nifty combo so consider theese.

I got this one specifically to use as Infinity terrain.
I've not painted it yet, but it's going to sport winter camo with Svalarheima Winter Force logo. I'd expect Svalarheima machinery to be a lot more "rugged" compared to the rest of PanO, since it's both a harsh planet and a frontier.
>>
Just getting into this game with a friend, and I just want to make sure I have this right. There is no way to have more than one fireteam right? Is it possible to have a Fireteam: Core and a Fireteam: Duo in one army?
>>
>>49453501
No one is really "butthurt" about America, except maybe North Korea. However turning current superpowers into shades of their former glories is a good shorthand for "in the future everything has changed". Especially since a lot of Infinity lore starts with oil running out; which is also why Middle East fell into disarray and Haqqislam gained popularity. USA is also a huge oil producer.
>>
>>49455574
1Core, 1 Haris and unlimited Duos if you can fit them. Unless your name is Steel Phalanx and Tohaa in which case you have your special fire teams that are unlimited.
>>
>>49455574
>There is no way to have more than one fireteam right?
That's what the various fireteam types are for.

>Is it possible to have a Fireteam: Core and a Fireteam: Duo in one army?
You can have a Core, a Haris and a Duo all in one army if you have the units and it's perfectly legal. And then there's Enomotarchos and Triads.

I am. Assembled the zhanshis and the zuyong, now in the middle of assembling the hsien. The female squatting zhanshi proved to be a little problematic due to extra tiny contact points, no space to pin and had to fumble around with the arm to align wrist and shoulder. I'm leaving the actual hard stuff for last, the tiger soldier and especially the ninja. These are the first infinity models that I own and build, so I still need to get used to the scale.
Just for reference, what junctions did you pin on your models?
>>
>>49460459
Moderators are the ones called in to subdue people nonlethally. If somebody fucked around enough to warrant bringing in the Taskmasters, then they were probably going to end up getting spaced anyway.

They probably don't use the HMGs and rocket launchers that much and they'd definitely need safeties on those crazykoalas, but other than that it's probably what they normally use. Shock ammo would be good to have against rogue abominations since you want to permanently put those things down as quickly as possible.

We've seen previews for a Marauder box, meaning they're on the way. They're likely to be released next month, or maybe the one after that.

And I hope Blackjacks never come out. The Marauder/Minuteman whining I can understand since they're the more interesting link teams, but Blackjacks just came out in HSN3. Yeah, he's great at projecting power both short and long range, giving cover by both mines and smoke and is hard to flank thanks to SS1. HRL brings nasty templates at cheaper price and loss of smoke. Azrail is more one note character, but pays accordingly and works better against heavy armor.

Modified Azra'il are pretty good proxies, and they look great in general. Unless you refuse to buy anything outside Ariadna.

>>
>>49464253
I'd run them mainly in Bakunin itself, they are basically better geckos so if you want a tough guy for vanilla they will work.

Bakunin now I feel runs really well with multiple small link teams (moderator link with spitfire +para a taskmaster duo and a riot grrl harris with spit and spec op or a custodier team with doc or kusinagi) and fill the rest with morlocks and zeros
>>
>>49463363
that sure is a propa orky model

paint it green and there's your kommando nob
>>
>>49464253
They're just butthurt. The Healer is a bit slow for a doorkicker/specialist but she's otherwise not bad. Taskmasters are good.

Best way to run them is in a duo with either the red fury and shotgun or red fury and HRL. Run across the board under smoke cover, wreck face with that red fury and then sit the team somewhere inconvenient and watch as your foes are torn apart by crazykoalas and templates as they try to advance.

The HMG can make a decent rambo if you can't afford a TAG, but that's not their strong point.
>>
>>49464392
>The HMG can make a decent rambo if you can't afford a TAG, but that's not their strong point
Of course this is the model they released

>>49464309
You can only have one Harris team in a list right?
>>
>>49464470
Yep.
>>
>>49464470
ye that list is 1 core (moderators) 1 duo (taskmasters) and on harris (riot or custodiers depending on if you want more tricks like white noise of offset bakunins weakness to smoke+msv tricks or more punchy with the riot grrls) though you could run the moderators as a 3 man core squad if you wanted if you dont want all 5, you could also take a 3 girl riot team as a core link team, harris is only needed if you want a moderator or moira team as well.

Taking 2-3 zeros mean you already control the midfield so can pump orders more freely into the taskmasters, I think I like the red fury + boarding shotgun duo, once you get them midfield that shotgun will become terrifying + 4 koalas

>>49464791
custodier link is either 2 custodiers + kusinagi or a healer cant be 1 of each. Id take it as 1 custodier hd+ lt, 1 boarding shotgun with assault device and healer with a multi rifle and have it as a toolkit squad

Id drop the zeros all down to forward observers personally, with the 2 custodiers you will have hacking control anyway, maybe either remove tsykoln in favour of a few cheap orders though with the amount of links and zeros being half way upfield you wont be too starved, mybe drop to a lunkhod for even more board control and grab a few morlocks just for some smoke cover if you need it

maybe try this I kept tsyklon but swapped to spitfire as you will be lacking a little in high burst KwBgzAPmIhEEwA4CkB2R9nwJxgGzICESaGWuALEWMhXqsgIx6LDW33kgOFV0rNEPbLVQ0c8EEREUxTVN2miajBT0YzEK1PDYABRlNlVVjTIUOiTqM8j16gA=

>>
>>49465820
nah its way better than it used to be, now I just take 2-3 zeros and just buy whatever I want, normally 2 links and a couple of odd ball units.

atleast there are LT choices now, before it was just moderator, custodier, kusinagi (wasnt taken much compared to now), moira, zero (lost in n3) ppl only really took a custodier or moderator lt as the zero cost 2swc.

now you have custard (always good)
moderator (easy to defend)
moira (link is cheaper now and more viable)
kusinagi (spec ops makes her a good pick and her link choices got better)
taskmaster (durable tough LT)

Im hoping we get a bakunin spec ops, either with msv lvl 2 to fill the sectorials only weak spot (doubt it) or a cool riot shield and boarding shotgun to give moderator link something better to do than sitting at the back

The only thing I think that is weak in Bakunin might be sin eaters now, with the ease of having hackers around and clockmakers I feel TR bots do just as well for how much sin eaters cost. They are still fairly good though
>>
So, I haven't played Aleph or played against Aleph, anyone care to enlighten me what's so good/annoying about Thrasymedes?
>>
>>49466039
I remember telling my friend about the taskmaster lt

Take it always. It's literally an LT for no extra SWC, 2 wounds, with a red fury and stealth, with koalas and a BTS large template weapon. If you are taking any of them, take him.
>>
>>49466126
A linkable 360° ODD LRL is a good aro piece, the specialist troop is just icing
>>
>>49466246

Except it already has a big target painted on it, and is certainly going to be one of your frontline figures.

>>49465820
With the addition of Riot Grlls and taskmasters, they have access to pretty much all of the fundamentals. You get what you pay for. Moderators are kinda crap, sure, but they're cheap, and they're even pretty effective in links. Beyond that, it's not hard to make a list with minimal cheerleaders.
>>
>>49466246
I'm give it a shot. I don't need much convincing to run the Swast.

>>49465888
I feel like there isn't much reason to take them though. Cheerleaders are important but ones that can't actually do anything seem bad.

Moderators provide orders and literally nothing else
>>
hmmmmm

taskmasters vs geckos

why are you making this hard for me, CB !_!
>>
>>49466397
Moderator sniper or spitfire becomes decent for its points cost, 5 orders bs13 sixth sense burst 5 spitfire with a specials is good for 53/0.5 the sniper option can be useful as a back line link team focused on ARO's. Hell just running 3 (35/0.5) in a link you can just dakka the enemy and pray for crits and move a wip 12 specialist around.

They can also take a pitcher for cheap for hacking coverage
>>
>>49466126
Not that useful in Aleph IMO. There are much better infiltrating specialists like Proxy Mk2, Dasyu, and Naga. But he's great in SP as either infiltrator or fireteam leader.

ODD is very hard to deal with. You can't get behind him because 360 Visor. In a fireteam, he's got a LRL and Frenzy is suppressed. As an infiltrator -the only one in SP-, he can deploy midfield grab objectives and/or go into Suppression Fire for some severe modifiers. Flash Grenades is a nice plus, and he's ARM3. Also he's not super expensive.
>>
>>49466397

If you ever took an Alguicile or Line Khazak, you have cause to take a moderator. The differences are incredible minor.

>>
>>49465820
Bakunin is the trickier of the two between Corregidor and it. But the point of Moderators is that 1. they're cheap and 2. 0.5 SWC Spitfire. But unless your main thing in the list is going to be Lizard or a pair of Taskmasters (or a Custodier Haris I guess), Moderators are not a very good Core.
They basically play the same as Keisotsu. JSA and Bakunin have a few things in common, except Bakunin can do more than charge with katanas.
>>
>>49464253
>All of the other local Nomad players are convinced that it's hot garbage as well as the Healer and Nomads in general.
Nomads in general are great, although their supposed biggest strength (hacking) is a lot less effective than it might sound in general. Great against PanO and YJ though.
Taskmaster is just a big brutal beatstick. You feed it orders and it spews death. Martial Arts is good for sneaking and Crazy Koalas are good for discouraging any warbands or hackers from getting too close. The model they're releasing is the most boring one of the lot though.

Healer is okay, but is much better in a link team.

>>49473997
If they have time for a break they may well do that. But in the game they're landing in the middle of a combat zone, and manually taking it off would take time that they don't have. Making it quick and easy to remove presents its own problems, since it would either need to be computerized (which makes it susceptible to mid-air hacking) or easy to take off manually (and when you're jumping from the stratosphere you don't want your only brakes to be easy to remove)

She was in the right pose before but she busted off while painting her so I reposed her the way I saw from last thread, I like it a bit more, way more dynamic. The washing actually looked really good but I prefer to use a combo of washing and painting. I liked this end result. The picture makes the face look ugly and the base look better, dont know why. I will say though the washing technique wound up being a lot faster, even though I only used GW washes. I may use this in the future for cloth and skin, I found it doesn't work so well with hard plates, armor, and to some extent weapons.

People have been cherry-picking the bits they like from religious texts since religion was invented. Without followers it's just a book. >however plenty of bad shit only happens because of it
Nah, shitheads will always find excuses to be shitheads. If it wasn't Islam it would be something else. Muslims only started acting up recently, and that's because people in the middle east are angry at being stomped on by foreigners who want their oil. Islam is just a way for them to direct that anger and give them an excuse to attack the foreigners they already hate.
>>
>>49475779
This, desu. Arab ethnicies ruin everything they lay hands on. It's even mentioned in the Koran.
>>
>>49475763
And which part of Islam enabled all this?

>>49475779
What the heck are you on about, they rampaged through southern Europe before America even existed. You're a revisionist cunt.
>>
>>49476268
I'm talking about recent history. If you're going back that far into the past then everybody has enough skeletons in their closets to fill a cemetery. The Muslims were colossal wankers back then but being a colossal wanker was the norm in those days.
>>
>>49476268
Everything from VIII to XVI century. A true golden age. A ton of great thinkers, best med schools, doing math etc. Better yet if you were good, the state would support you even if you were not muslim. There were known persian and jewish people funded by the kalfiat.

The 3 methods of checking a thesis was a muslim thing.

Of course everything fucked up at around XV-XVI century with the rise of clerics faction, which is more or less all the Turks foult. Those fuckers warped islam at its core. But then what do you expect from people who aren't much different from wild beasts, unlike civilise arab people. Even the pers are better.

>this whole post
Are you paid to lie on the internet or are you just legitimately retarded? Muslim populations in the middle east have been butchering one another since forever; going back to the armed actions led by Mohammed himself against Mecca, the violent conversion of all arabic peninsula, to the clusterfuck between Sunni and Shia after his death, to the raids and atrocities committed over the course of various centuries across all the Mediterranean sea that ultimately led to the Crusades and all the following battles between Ottomans and Christians for the defense of Europe.

Muslim didn't "start to act up" recently, they started "acting up" since their inception and never ceased.
Violence, both overt and concealed, is an integral part of every society where Islam is deeply ingrained. The endless struggle is at the core of their beliefs, be it amongst siblings, or families, or clans, different sects, different religions: violence is the heart of Islam.

And before someone comes out with the usual weak defenses: yes, Christians at the time weren't much different, but their religion (among many others) went through a modernization process and nowadays is, under certain aspects, utterly different from what it was 1000 or even just 200 years ago.
And yes, the lovely muslim couple across the block won't behead you in your sleep, that's because they still have to live in our society and conform to most of our customs; but what if the the entire society were held by "muslim ethics" instead of your run-of-the-mill western values? Just take a look at a predominantly muslim society (idk Malaysia, Pakistan, UAE, Morocco, you pick it) and tell me you'd be willing to move and live your life there.

Actually, just do it, maybe you'd stop speaking out of your ass about things you clearly don't understand.

Ok rant over, let's go back to Infinity.
>>
>>49476626
> utterly different from what it was 1000 or even just 200 years ago
What is the balkan war. What is whole eastern europe.
And while yes the western euros stoped being agresive warlike christians, they only switched it for being warlike lefties.
I mean fucking americans bomb muslim countries only because of jews not wanting to give back the land their have stolen.
>>
>>49474829
I'm not religious but this is why I like military order.

Deus vult, brother!
>>
>>49476626
You're correct, but that's hardly unique to them. Islam being violent is a symptom of an overarching culture of violence rather than the cause. And that culture of violence is present in pretty much everywhere sufficiently shitty. Societies living in a desert shithole are far less likely to go through technological and cultural development than somewhere nice and fertile like Europe, so they don't evolve and continue being violent like Europeans were.
And when I say acting up I mean acting up against first world countries. Nobody else gave half a fuck about them when they were fighting among themselves just like nobody gives half a fuck about what Africans are doing, but now a lot of their anger is directed at the West because the USA and USSR kept smacking them about during the Cold War, and Islam is a perfect focus for that anger. But make no mistake, they'd still be killing each other and probably trying to kill everyone else even if Islam wasn't a factor, because they live in an unpleasant environment and that is a massive factor in cultural development (or lack thereof).
>>
Jee, I'm sure you guys are fun to play with.
>>
>>49476626
>let's go back to Infinity.
Indeed. Infinity, in which the choking wars over land are no longer driving the Haqq into the worst places to live. In which the failings of today are no longer available to recruit the desperate and suicidal.

Are they still dicks? Certainly. They're human, after all.
Are they making the same mistakes with Ariadna that Ari's predecessors made with theirs? Absolutely. If ANYONE in the setting should know not to push fierce backwoods zealots into a corner, it should be Haqq.
>>
>>49475244
Then paint them all in NHL colors and insist on pronouncing the faction name like "Hockey Slam"
>>

>>
>>49477182

>>
>>49477182
I mean Haqq is basically a whole new modernised Islam, so none of this even applies to them. It's basically irrelevant to the game.

And besides, when we win the war we'll take the best elements of all your many cultures and create the ultimate human society, with the only condition being that you serve the EI.
>>
>>49476778
The west stopped waging religious wars since the christian reform and modernization, something Islam proved to be incapable of doing up to this day and age. You'd sooner see Kim Jong Il eat a burger with Obama than the current pope declare any sort of military actions against muslims.
And speaking of Obama, yes USA are the undisputed kings of international assfuckery. They may bomb you for the most disparate reasons: for "the oil", to alter the geopolitical situation and spread influence, to fuck with Russia or China; but you'd be hard pressed to find examples of times when USA bombed people based only on what flavour of sky fairy they believe in. Meanwhile you can just read the news to see muslims killing one another over the most inane difference in their religion on a daily basis.

>What is whole eastern europe
Oh man did you see those ottomans getting rekt by based winged hussars last week? 10/10, would watch again and praise the Lord with.
>>
>>49477278
You could insist all your haqqs are secular descendants of the NASA scientists from the factions founding.
>>

>killing one another over the most inane difference in their religion on a daily basis.
Already forgotten Northern Ireland, I see.
>>
>>49477534
See, every time you come up an example from Western World, /pol/ comes up a way to include that example in their non-white boogeyman.
>>
>>49477130
Yes I've read theories that link the development of the abrahamic religions to the strict living conditions of the people at the time, and there's a certain merit to them. However, understanding the causes that made something faulty and harmful doesn't detract in any way from that thing's fault or harmfulness.

Anyway Islam-related events IRL have nothing to do with my ability to enjoy Haqq in this game; like I wrote before I'm only waiting for CB to resculpt the hassassin starter box and some units (yeah, sweet dreams) to jump right in with a kickass fremen-themed army.

So this escalation league I've been playing in continues but we're bumping up to 150 (no hackers/tags but you can take remotes). This is supposed to be for newer players to learn how to play but a couple guys have made it their mission to ruin everyone's fun with stupid lists.

I have no idea what they'll be playing, but what's something I can at in Corregidor that doesn't just get annihilated at 150? It's not fun getting tabled every time I show up to play in this stupid league
>>
>>49478153
I'm not aware of the situation, could you please provide me a source? I couldn't find anything which is quite strange, seeing as there's a """war""" happening """right now"""; all I found was a decree by the ukrainian orthodox church that declared himself outside of Moskov's power, surely there must be at least some adherents to those churches blasting one another, huh? Unless by war you mean the whole Crimea crisis, which was hardly a religious conflict.
>>
>>49478289
Just take 2 Morans (FO), a full Alguacil link team, and whatever tickles your fancy for a Lt and maybe an intruder and you should be fine.
>>
>>49478394
There is the ortodox church, which is eastern christians church that is slave to moscov .
There is the greek catholic church, which is an eastern rite christian church that has the pope as its ruler.
And there is the glorious Ukrain Autokefaliq Church, which is independend. All 3 factions hate each other, and there are pogroms, wars of faith etc happening between those three since the XVI century.
>>
>>49478289
Are you by chance the same guy that got tabled by the cheesy PanO Peacemaker Bulleteer spam? Or was this the absolutely retarded starterbox-only tournament?
>>
>>49478557
iirc the guy got tabled by Peacemakers, not the Bulleteer. Unless that was someone else.
>>
>>49478549
Still waiting for sauce on those "pogroms, wars of faith etc", maybe something more recent than XVI century uh? Surely there would be something that at least matches the atrocities committed by islamist groups these last months, no doubt ;^)

I'm aware of this now, unfortunately if I want to play Infinity at all for the rest of the year I kind of have to participate.

I'll never win now. Getting handed a 10/0 loss game puts me firmly in the 'never going to win anything' bracket but I'd like to at least try and have some fun.
>>

>>

The only army that needs his REMs to function is vanilla ALEPH with the Dakinis, and maybe CA for the Unidrons, all the others at low points are totally fine with no REMs imo.
There's not much you can do to counteract a retarded TO, for now I'd second >>49479172 and say go with jaguars-intruder for the classic MSV2-smoke cheese.

Yuan Yuan is a mercenary who can work for both Yu Jing and Haqqislam in casual games with the agreement of your opponent. In a tournament scenario, the Yuan Yuan may be used in the Qapu Khalqi Sectorial of Haqqislam without need for permission.

To add the Yuan Yuan to a Yu Jing list, for example, click the options tab in the right of the army builder and check the Merc option.

In friendly games, if both players agree, he can be taken by any faction. In ITS and other official tournaments he's only available to Haqqislam's Qapu Khalqi sectorial iirc.

FFS what's with all the pol tards around here? You're unhappy with a faction because of that miniatures religion? That 28mm little pewter (and sweet toxic lead) miniature? Who gives a fuck? If you like the look, buy the fucking thing. This is coming from someone who lived next to Muslims and hate their adherents and the fucking satanic religion for the piece of shit it is. I've never met a nice Muslim, but fuck off pol. I play my little pewter men to escape reality, not to show muh autism.

Playing them as that dune faction is a good idea, but even I can't be bothered doing it. Just paint the models and take it the fluff with a laugh. I hated pan o for its stupid Mary sue fluff, but still play it for its cool tags. I like the fluff of nomads and yu jing much better though.

Admittedly, the neo moslem shit is very uninspired and awkward, but I'd still play it if the minis were cool

Yu Jing, specifically ISS. We've got MSV bots, Ava3 on basic murderbot, Dakinis, Garudas, drones with HI rules, and the sweet sweet engineer from vanilla Aleph.

Islamic terrorists have killed at least 1100 people in cold blood in the past thirty days, plus more than that in injured. Show me where Christians are beheading and burning people in that same time period. Bonus points for a Christian that detonates explosives in a civilian area. And no, several hundred years to a millennium ago doesn't set a precedent.
