Oh yeah I'll give the answer to that. It was hard.

Here's the text of the puzzle:
You're at 14 life vs miracles. They have a meddling mage naming burning wish. You duress them and see 2 swords to plowshares and a counterspell. They have 2 untapped tundras. You have an island, a swamp and a top. Your hand is ritual, doomsday, probe, led. What would you do to have the best shot at winning?

One very valid answer to " What would you do to have the best shot at winning?' is to just say "take the counterspell, pass turn". a variety of cards will win for you next turn. you have a top to dig for discard, and you have at least one more black source that you'll untap with because you had to cast Duress off something. However, you do have an opening in which there are no counterspells, and there is a rare kind of pass-the-turn pile that can beat 2 swords in this situation:
[top] Ideas Unbound, LED, Probe, Top, Maniac [bottom]
ritual->doomsday off the swamp, play LED, cast Probe off island, hold priority and crack LED for UUU. Ideas Unbound->Top,LED,Probe for 2 life, hold priority, crack LED for UUU, draw and cast Maniac. Then pass the turn. You'll have no cards in your deck, Labman and 2 tops on board at 5 life. You can eat a hit from Meddling Mage, and can top in response to Swords. A third removal spell kills you, but you don't play this deck if you're scared.

Honestly it's up in the air as to whether it's better to wait or do the weird pile. There are strong arguments for both. I'd probably go with the weird pile because I live for danger.
>>
>>49424692
i recall that a chromatic star was a mana ability and cannot be responded to with removal when you have maniac on the battlefield. sure missed that way to win.
I like how Ideas are a more expensive recall in this deck, shame I'm too dumb to crack the optimal ways to play.
>>
>>49424775
yeah I don't play chromatic sphere in my list because the situations where it was helpful were very few and far between, and I wanted something more useful when I drew it pre-combo. Even this puzzle, where sphere would be perfect, is really contrived. Meddling Mage maindeck in Miracles is rare. And there still are ways to beat the double removal hand. I don't think sphere is worth it.
>>
No, honestly guys. Help me.

I feel like I'm going to buy LEDs. It also means I have to sell most of my shit away to be able to afford them and I know logically paying the current price of that specific cardboard is batshit crazy... But I still feel like I'm going to do it.

I got over it thinking I don't need them, but then I heard some other shitheads talking about how they bought fishing lures for 170€ each. (They were historic pieces and not so common today. And in very high demand) Suddenly I didn't feel like LEDs were not too bad. Especially since those nutheads bought a book talking about those lures for 400€.

I feel like I'm in addiction I've got to get rid off for my own good. Do I just sell my deck before finishing it? I don't really need it desu.
>>
Looking forward to trying my friend's Nic Fit list this Friday. Looks like a super deck, probably going to build it myself. Cause I really need a 4th legacy deck.
>>

These are the people Wizards are catering to with the Reserve list. Bragging about how they have mounds of unopened boxes so they can corner the market harder. yeesh.

There are some cheap alternatives: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00UWBJM0Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474330470&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=led&dpPl=1&dpID=512z0orjIKL&ref=plSrch
>>
>>49426411
I like the guy. There is really nothing wrong with making money this way, but yes. I do disagree with reserved list and how it kills legacy.

Actually thanks for this. It reminded me why I gave up on buying cards and already sold big portion of them. Owning cards don't mean anything if you can't finish the decks and with current prices, it's impossible for me to finish a single deck.
>>
>>49426459
Oh I'm not worried about diodes. It's the cardboard that makes me lose my nerves.
>>
>>49426299
the way I look at it is this is my hobby, and people spend money on their hobbies. once I got it in my head, it was kind of just going to happen, "fuck it, I'm buying trops." so go for it, if you think owning the cardboard will bring you more happiness than not.

So I've been trying to trade into Legacy for years, and I don't know why (there's no local scene). Anyway, trading in isn't working and I've started a new job where I can start saving up and buying in. Has /tg/ ever considered posting when they find good sales and clearances online? I thought CFB's "Flash Sale" looked ok, but it's not.
>>
>>49429498

The best place I've found is TCGPlayer, and just being patient and watching price trends to see if they're on an upward or downward trend. Idk if any other anons have a better source.

The pieces have been arriving over the last couple of days. This deck is silly. Going to need to practice a lot, taking a long time deciding what to do and in what order.

Ten steps to a perfect Brainstorm. As a general rule, I try not to play a land until after Brainstorm, especially if I'm on a combo deck.

1.) Is this Brainstorm for filter, for draw, or for protection? Play accordingly.
2.) Cast Brainstorm.
3.) You can either put the chaff back, float your key pieces away (typically against Cabal Therapy), or dig to find more cards.
4.) If you didn't have a land or a fetch, play the one you drew. If you didn't draw one and didn't have one before Brainstorm, you're shit out of luck, unless you put pieces you actually wanted to keep back on top of the library.

Using Brainstorm isn't intuitive but that doesn't mean it's hard. You just have to know when to pop it and what "mode" to use (filter, draw, protection).

Plat-E is the only good target for it if you don't want to cast a spell like Drom Command on it, which is good, sure, but feels like a mediocre thing to spend 4 mana tutoring for in this kind of format.

Have any of you guys brewed with Artificer's Intuition? I looked at Greg Hatch's combo deck with Intuition but I wanted a more toolbox deck and I'm thinking about trying to brew something up. Being able to run a singleton Academy Ruins and a singleton tutorable Map alongside Engineered Explosives and a variety of Spellbombs seems pretty good. I'm also thinking of throwing in Goblin Welder and Sundering Titans to take advantage of the artifacts I pitch and Myr Servitor, which I can pitch to tutor for another and use them for chump. Trinket Mages function as extra copies of Intuition and chump as well. As for the mana base I'm thinking artifact lands, Tomb/City and a few utility.
>>

You'll have a wonderful opportunity to get lots of deals if paying cash. I made the mistake of only planning on main event and 2 sides, and I missed the chance to pick up all kinds of unsorted rare bin cards and priced-to-move cards rotating out of standard and things that are priced "Moderately played" but look amazing (a couple even signed...).

Here's the old one for comparison.

Hm. I'm not sure what to say, I kinda like the humor in this one a bit more (the jokes are just delivered a little more "punchy") and the color choice is kind of searing (also I think "Maverick" is colored wrong if you were trying to keep all decks colored Blue). But I certainly appreciate the update in the types of decks.

*eye-searing

There are three deck blobs that aren't blue. Lich, maverick and lands. I think lich deserves it's puke-yellow assignment but I can't speak for the others.

>>49442945
The lich deck is the best and you should buy it in paper without testing it.

Maybe an anon can help me here...

I'm trying to order from TCGPlayer for the first time and it's OK but the price keeps changing rapidly, there's really stupid allocation of cards that don't make sense and drive up shipping prices, sometimes it removes cards from my card. It's just fucking madness. What am I doing wrong?

>>
>>49444536
>>49444538
Alright now I get it. Welp guess I'm making a memeing combo control deck.
>>
>>49440216
As a five card combo kill transformational board it's pretty strong. Possibly in Sneak and Show, Miracles, or another deck running red and 5 or less artifacts.

You can bring it in against Abrupt Decay and Bolt decks, its likely a win against Elves, Delver, Burn, ANT and anything else which can't remove it, and a gigantic headache for Shardless.
>>
Alright so i'm practicing TES(The Epic Storm) and my opening hand is this:

Burning Wish, Infernal Tutor, Chrome Mox, Gitaxian Probe, Dark Ritual, Rite of Flame, Bloodstained Mire.

I'm on the draw and I choose to keep. Am I wrong on this and should have mulled? If you also kept what would be your opening line?
>>
I made a casual lightform cloudform deck. I brainstorm on on their end of turn 2 to put brago or eater of days on top to manifest out my turn 3. eater of days for surprise 9/8 flying trampler attacking on turn 4. brago to blink the forms, deflector mages, detention spheres and the morphs if they are worth blinking. I also run familiars ruses to bounce back my counterspells or removals if I manifested some. It's surprisingly fun to pilot despite making it on a whim.
>>
>>49446347
It seems alright, 1 mana off getting Goblins. Lead with Bloodstained Mire, wait a turn on the Probe to increase your chance of hitting mana
>>
>>49446373

I figured I could use the Chrome Mox for mana if I was ever in a pinch but otherwise I could easily storm for about 5-6 and get Warrens.

It's decided, already booked the weekend off work; though I might end up changing my mind regarding deck choice, I'm definitely going now. Since neither of us know what the other looks like (I assume), I'll have pic related as a playmat, feel free to say something (or not) if we get paired.
>>
>>49446476
Depending on what you draw, you definitely use the Chrome Mox for mana, probably pitching the Infernal
>>
>>49442810
I disagree about Tezzerator being an unfair deck. You're just playing Chalice, Bridge and winning through Tezzeret or thopters.
>>
>>49446347
It really depends on what you draw. If it's mana (ritual or artifact), I would go for it after probing. You can either get Goblins or Ad Nauseam. If it's a draw spell, cast it. Anything else, wait.
>>
>>49446347
If you hit a 6th mana you can do 12+ goblins t1, if you hit another dark rit/rite/LED you can go off via Nauseam. Probe gives you the go ahead or stop if they have something cancerous like maindeck EE/their 1-of Maelstrom Pulse. If the hand was missing the second ritual or Dark Ritual I'd probably mull given there's not a Ponder or Brainstorm.
>>
>>49446831
Why mulligan? You don't need anything else, around half your deck gets you there by turn 2. If they have force, you wish off chrome Mox then make them force a ritual.
>>
>>49446913
To even come close to going off without Dark Ritual in opener you need to draw one or a second rite/LED/cantrip that finds at least one of the former, how is that half the deck and why would they counter a ritual, given you can at worst empty for 8 without 7+ mana?
>>
>>49447107
And they can just counter the wish.
>>
>>49447107
The hand makes 5 mana, you need to draw a petal, rit, rite or LED (quarter of the deck) in your top 2 to go for a pile of goblins.

If you see a Force, you go Fetch, Mox burning wish, pass turn. You end up with three draws at land, LED, petal, rit, rite or chrome mox. That's about 30/53.

If they counter the wish, you're still any business spell off having a solid hand. If they don't, you have empty in hand which makes them force your first ritual to prevent you from making a pile of goblins.

If you lead with Rite or Rit on turn 2, you can drop a land and make 4 goblins at the worst. You're fairly likely to be able to make 6-8, so they have to force to prevent you from creating a t2 horde. would probably hold the probe for a turn, I don't think you get much out of the information and the storm count is very relevant.

You only need one piece to be solid in any case, this hand is absolutely keepable OTD
>>
>>49447175
Makes sense, I'd hesitate to wish for Empty on a turn I'm not going off on though since discard/Clique is a factor on turn 3 and Goblins that aren't a 2 turn clock without Cabal Therapy backup are answered fairly easily by just about any deck, even by just dropping DRS DRS goyf/Thalia+Mom or something. If you mull to six odds are you have lots more mana than your 7 did and odds of drawing business by turn 2 aren't too low. You usually want all your Chrome Moxen and Lotus Petals to be in the deck when you Ad Nauseam.
>>
>>49442810
The humour still feels a bit forced in places, I think you need to stop copying the original. This part really stands out to me:

>Do you want to go to time and then drag out your next 5 turns?
Hell yes
>Do you want your opponents to know how much you hate them?

It just doesn't work.
>>
>>49441227
Go full jank and run stifle so you can tutor phyrexian dreadnought with intuition as a wincon. Also lets you counter DRS activations targeting whatever fatty you're welding
>>
>>49447214
It's true that your 6 might be pretty good, but I don't think you need to mulligan a 7 with mana and business for a 6 that might. Double business even lets you play through one counter, I think that's going to be significantly better than an average 7 card hand. You can even just infernal for rit on turn 1 if you want to.

I don't think this is an AN hand. Dropping 8-10 goblins turn 2 races most decks well enough, and this hand is reasonably likely to get it t1
>>
>>49446647
I'll be playing Mono-red skred and have a godless shrine playmate. If that helps
>>
>>49447611
Figures you'd play a deck with a favourable infect match-up from the maindeck blood moons and chalices. Good luck and see you if I see you.
>>
>>49447689
It's a modern GP I don't think I can use chalice. it's not till February but none the less good luck
>>
>>49447702
Unless it eats a banning, chalice is legal in modern. It's even arguably better in modern due to more decks relying on 1-drops; turn 1 SSG chalice is basically gg for most decks, especially aggro.
>>
>>49447702
>>49447740
Wait, never mind, I'm an idiot, it turns off your own bolts and skred. I think I got confused from skimming over someone on twitch playing basic snow mountains and chalice turn 1 off a spirit guide and I just assumed it was mono-red skred.

I figured two artifacts would ruin the kill potential, I've got a rough list almost worked out that isnt ready for testing. Like, I get the whole synergy with Scroll Rack and Land Tax (which is amazing and so much fun) but how do I like...win? I've tried Charbelcher as a win condition but I got fucked by my own Wastelands, so I almost considered dropping them (might be a bad idea)

Any chance he's lying to keep people from showing up? He said he'd been fielding questions about this lot all day.

>>
>>49457714
I think if you have enough cards in hand to sickening dreams for the kill you'd have enough gas to thoughtseize 1 or 2 times. my issue with grapeshot was that you so frequently needed to cast both grapeshots. The right spell to counter would be Lich or Shoal anyway.

That's probably for the best. I'm sure the guy wouldn't put the reputation of his company on the line by lying about the moxen to everyone calling.

To contribute something on-topic to the thread, though, has anyone considered Voltaic Brawler in RUG Delver? The standard for 2-drop quality in that deck is Goyf, and Brawler's more color-heavy, but you get value from removal'd Brawlers by having more energy left for your other copies.

Brawler doesn't have the long game potential of a Goyf, though.

>>
>>49460802
I think he meant with 1 less draw so it wouldn't replace itself.
>>
>>49460822
yeah, I was just kidding
it's not very playable in Pauper without fetches, but there aren't as many combo decks there and the disruption is also lacking. To fix Brainstorm make it sorcery speed like most of cantips, except then it sucks.
>>
>>49460885
Probably 85% of my Brainstorms are done at sorcery speed.

The card isn't inherently busted, it just forces you to have a really good reason not to play it
>>
>>49455928
Ah, okay. My bad.
>>
>>49460568
It's already balanced.
>>
>>49460568
Ban Fetches, but fuck that, Brainstorm is close to my favourite card.
>>
I fail to see a problem with brainstorm. It's a powerful card in a sea of powerful cards.
>>
>>49455367
Four horsemen isn't tournament legal. Playing the deck will get you DQ'd for slow play from executing loops without a clear purpose.
>>
>>49455731
Rest in Piece will make Helm of Obedience mill your opponent's entire library on one activation, in case you didn't realize.
>>
>>49455731
after you removed lands with tax, Charbelcher becomes that much more deadly also.

Gonna be putting in some blue stuff for a Win-A-Dual tomorrow, how do people think this list looks
4x GGT
4x Stinkweed Imp
4x Golgari Thug
2x Shambling Shell
4x Cabal Therapy
3x Dread Return
4x Gitaxian Probe
4x Nether Shadow
4x Ichorid
4x Prized Amalgam
4x Bridge From Below
4x Narcomoeba
1x Flayer of the Hatebound
4x Phantasmagorian
4x Street Wraith
3x FoW
3x Whirlpool Rider

Sideboard:
1x FoW
3x Disrupting Shoal
3x Contagion
3x Faerie Macabre
3x Unmask
2x Mindbreak Trap
>>
>>49463195
I think you're a little light on 1 drops for disrupting shoal, but I don't know what else you could put in and stay manaless.
>>
>>49463195
I don't really know enough to help, but good luck man! let us know how it goes.

Fuck it.
Fuck playing blue cards.
Let's do this.
inb4 someone points out the Probes, Amalgams, Narcomoebas, Mindbreak Traps and Progenitus
>>
>>49463920
You never spend blue to cast them so it's ok
>>
>>49464501
I mean, he wouldn't spend blue to cast force or shoal either
>>
>>49460568

I'm just glad Brainstorm is cheap. It gives a lot more stability to my janky decks like 12post.
>>
>>49463195
I've been telling you, Gitaxian Probe is FREE information! FREE!
>>
>>49465055
All my decks are 64 card decks with 4x Gitaxian Probe standard. Best deck building decision I've ever made, free Intel, triggers things, never a dead draw.

If you change your mindset to start every game with 12 hp it makes sense
>>
>>49465168
I run 4 Probes, 8 Baubles, and 4 Street Wraths wherever it's legal, effectively playing a 44 card deck which makes it almost Limited Tier. At this point I just need 4 more cards to break all formats in half.
>>
>>49466421
What do you do if someone plays a chalice or thalia? Do you keep a 7 card hand with 4-5 draw effects?

If I have 1 life I'm fine. I could start the game with 2 life and I would still play if I was confident enough in my deck. hell I just won an edh game without losing a single lifepoint and it wasnt a combo deck.
>>
>>49463195
I'd put all the FoWs to side and play mb Chancellor of the Annex x 3-4, since t1 DRS is the only thing you need to care about pre-board. Mindbreak is fairly useless imo since you'll fold to Belcher even without and ANT rarely goes off before turn 3, at which point you'll be firing away with Cabal Therapy.

even with it*

>>
>>49469404
I do not understand the appeal of full art lands.
>>
>>49469460
The judge basics are among the best basics in the game. Full art but simple and not stupid looking like the Zen/BfZ full arts. I love the art by Terese Nielsen and if you own all of them they make a panorama.

3-0 at the shop tonight for 32 in store creds

2-0 miracles
2-1 lands
2-1 miracles

recruiter is the business and sanctum prelate is very good as well. prelate on 1, flicker recruiter, trigger tutor and vial in another prelate on 6 just fucks miracles up. prelate on 2 fucks lands right up as well.

Yes, we have been hanging out at a different store and I've been pestering them about vintage and legacy tournaments. They are pretty cool, it's just not close enough for some of the regulars from the other shop (never mind that I drove an hour to go there 3+ times a week).

Went 2-1 then took down the finals with Death and Taxes

Round 1: Canadian Threshold - 2-0
Game 1 I land double Thalia and kill him before he lands a creature. Vial bluffing eats a couple stifles for value.
Game 2 I keep double Stoneforge Rest in Peace, he has no counters for either so I end up with a Batterskull and Jitte. He goes to grudge the Batterskull and I save it with a Flickerwisp. He concedes with a 1/1 Goose and 2 lands in play.

Round 2, I face down Oops All Spells.
Game 1, he keeps a 7 that goes off turn 1, and I lose.
Game 2, I board in 12 cards. He goes off turn one, but has one narcomeoba in hand so I plow one of them and he scoops.
Game 3, He goes off turn 1 and I lose.

Round 3, I face Mono-Red Sneak attack.
Game 1, he goes turn one Chalice 1 Chalice 0. I kept a hand full of 2 drops and a Karakas, and win quickly.
Game 2, He gets turn 1 sneak attack emrakul into griselbrand. I lose
Game 3, Revoker on Sneak Attack and Thalia 2.0 shut down most of his game. He Breaches in a Worldspine, but 3 5/5's cant beat a Thalia with a SoFi

Cut to top 2, play against Oops again.
Game 1: He mulls to five, I have turn 2 Thalia turn 3 Revoker on Azami and he scoops.
Game 2, he mulls to five. I have turn 2 Rest in Peace and he scoops.

All in all a good FNM, DnT is fun as shit to play.

Charbelcher only works in builds where there are no nonbasic lands, or Plateaus are the only nonbasics. You shouldn't run it in mono white with Karakas/Wasteland/Kjeldoran Outpost/Crystal Vein/etc
>>
>>49469755
Prelate is great against Lands, Miracles and Delver, but I still can't maindeck more than maybe 1 because it's just a grey ogre against so many decks
>>
>>49474772
How do you find it to be against storm? does it just come down too late to be relevant?

Ann Arbor's Get Your Game On is really great. Huge Modern scene and budding Legacy.
>>
Alright guys, shit tournament report coming up

Round 1 vs a friend of mine on BURG Delver, g1 he gets t2 DRS, g2 he plays a T1 cage. 0-1.
Round 2 vs BRg reanimator, he Elesh Norns me both games, I actually can't beat that. 0-2.
Round 3 vs Infect. Therapy is a good card, I combo off turn 3-4 both games. 1-2.
Round 4 vs UR Delver. Game 1 I combo off, game 2 he plays t1 cage. Game 3 he mulls to 3 looking for Cage, I combo off turn 3. 2-2.
Round 5, I get paired down vs ANT. Game 1 I combo'd off faster (Therapy is a good card), game 2 he combos off turn 2. Game 3 he combos off faster, but he gives me the win because I have a chance of making topcut and he doesn't. 3-2.

Ended up 6th, missing out on top 4 by 9% OMW.
I think the top 4 was UR Delver, Death And Staxes, Sneak N Show, and the 2nd BRg Reanimator player.
>>
>>49476185
Seems alright, regarding the Grixis/4-color Delver matchup, was T2 DRS enough to hate you out? It seems like it would be quite overworked by that time?

The BR reanimator is actually pretty decent now, made 2nd at a large event in Paris recently. If I had four Badlands, I'd might consider playing it myself, although I'd probably miss my Brainstorms too much.
>>
Just ordered 2 more FoW (the old ones so as to match the 2 old ones I already had), 4 wastelands, and a snapcaster mage.

>muh wallet

Deck is UR Delver, but these are staples I need to have in general.
>>
>>49472675
Id like to see you draw better then her
>>
>>49476270
I find the BR reanimator deck more frustrating. They have more nut draws. When you lose I lose it often feels like it was because of luck, like they nut drew and reanimated chancellor of the annex turn 1 both games
>>
>>49476306
On this point, how is it possibly to have started in Tempest and yet never cracked a single Wasteland (plenty of fucking lobotomies though). My brother had one, but its not in the pile of cards I have currently.

Same deal with Darksteel. Full playset of Clamps, no Aether Vial.

Motherfucking Uncommons, how do they work?
>>
>>49476306
Not a bad time to get those, with the exception of snappy maybe, but as you say, you need them anyways.

>>49476326
BR is much more geared towards explosiveness: more creatures, more reanimation spells, more mana acceleration. T1-2 is where they're at, but if you can subdue the first wave, they're less able to go long.

>>49476185
Funnily enough, with Chancellor, chances are even Force of Will wouldn't have helped you. I guess you should've ran some lands :^)
>>
>>49474772
i like 2, because drawing one in your opener is generally ok and you have tutors now to find (another) one if you want it.

>>49475252
i haven't used it firsthand because storm guy hasn't shown in a while, but 2 and 4 seem safest to lock out tutor and tendrils.
>>
>>49476434
Preboard vs unknown storm variant 4 is the best choice.
Vs TES it's always 2, not by a huge margin but enough.
Vs ANT preboard 4 is correct, postboard it's 2 or depending what info you have on the opponents hand
>>
>>49476384
Yeah, I'd be shocked if Snapcaster wasn't in Modern Masters 3. But I don't need playset of him, so I'll live.
>>
>>49476270
>>49476270
>>49476270
It was backed up by Delver/Mongoose beats, and I whiffed on a dredge at some point. Didn't have any probes/wraiths.

Took a while to respond because 4chan banned me for no reason.
>>
>>49476557
We all know Kikes of the Coast isn't going to give us anything good in MM3. It'll be Mythic Goyf and Literal Trash for everything else and people will still buy 20 boxes.
>>
>>49475252
I've found it to be too slow to rely on. If The only disruption I have in an 7 card opener is Prelate, I'll probably ship the hand.

>>49476434
I like having 2 in the board. How many matchups do you find it being bad in? I took them out of the main because to me, they're very medium vs Shardless, Infect, Eldrazi, the Mirror and the non-P Fire Rock decks. It felt like I don't want it in more than 50% of my matchups, so I'm between a 1/1 or a 0/2 split
>>
>>49476943
>>Hiroyuki confirmed for being MaRo
>>
>>49476185
Are you running Chancellor of the Annex off the board?
>>
>>49476553
I feel like it's more based on your board then their hand, i.e. sometimes you protect Prelate and sometimes Prelate protects your harder lock pieces.
>>
>>49476185
sucks being so close to the cut, but 3-2s not awful. did they at least have prizes to top8?
>>
>>49476344

I had this same problem with Aether Vials, I was even drafting a lot at the time, but when I eventually needed them a few years later I only had 2...I did have tons of Tops though. Uncommons in third sets of a block are even more brutal
>>
>>49476344
Different uncommons have different distributions. I may be wrong, but I believe Wasteland and Vial may have been U1 uncommons.
>>
>>49472675
>Booing one of the best artists to work for Magic

Real dilemma here; do I pick up regular Gideon, AoZ's or do I shell out the extra dough for the SDCC Zombie version?
>>
>>49477974
Comic Con, hands down. Go big or go home.
>>
>>49476344
I only opened a few packs of Tempest and Darksteel each but got 2 Wasteland and 2 Aether Vial.

Don't fall for the U1 meme, that's like Mana Drain and shit back when such things were actually done.
>>
>>49479272
I think Fallen Empires was the last set to have those designations?
>>
>>49479272
Well I didn't pull any Vials either, and I do have several packs of Darksteel (not as many as Mirrodin, but still). It just happens, I guess, even though I sometimes feel I definitely have fewer "good" rares. On the other hand, I have 3 of each shock from Guildpact, but only one from Ravnica and zero from Dissension. And I bought a display of Ravnica back then.
