Feeling like you don't belong, because people look down on you, talk behind your back and your parents don't love you for example.

Some people have an urge of saying "Fuck everything" when they are pressured enough and just pick up their things and leave.

If they want to find something or someone, that is also a very valid thing for someone to leave their comfort zone and become an adventurer.

Or maybe you had a moment in your life where you realized that not all things are as they seem and you decide to leave who you thought were your friends to figure everything out and gain a better perspective of things that matter.

People don't decide to go on a hero's journey. Shit, people never decide to "go on an adventure" at all.

People go out and chase their goals, and end up in all manner of sticky situations, which in hindsight constitute an adventure.

Untrue: lots of people in real life have and still do decide to abandon everything and go on "adventures".

Keep in mind the decision is easier for those who have shitty domestic lives, but plenty of perfectly content people will arbitrarily decide that despite everything; today would be the day they went on an adventure.
