Magatha and the rest of the Grimtotems believe that tauren are the superior race on Azeroth. Are they right?

At the end of the last thread there was talk of how Cairne, despite being super old, was easily kicking the shit out of Garrosh (who, in turn, could easily kick the shit out of Green Jesus himself, until he used the elephants) until he got poisoned. Tauren are just as intelligent as anyone else, and much larger and stronger, and have a much lower rate of fucking themselves over than everyone else. The only tauren who ever messed around with dark powers are the yaungol (and their incident was basically just "ninjas can't catch you if you're on fire") and the highmountain bloodtotem in this very latest patch, who only decided to drink the mountain dew when the Legion was literally setting up house next door. The grimtotems are douchebags, but Magatha is/was actually pretty competent by the standards of warcraft manipulator villains. Her only mistake was thinking Garrosh was worse than he was, and she was sort of right anyway, since he became that bad later. Then she tricked the players into getting her a magic mcguffin and buggered off and is now one of the oldest WoW villains who still hasn't really gotten a comeuppance.

Put short, the tauren seem to have very few disadvantages and to produce superior quality heroes and villains. Tauren empire when?

The reason the tauren have such a low rate of fucking themselves is because they are so slow to change and even then only in dire need prefering compromising to remain the same, otherwise they just take stuff as it comes and are glad for the blessings of the earth mother. Quite hobbitlike in attitude to the world if u needed an archetype, very much tied to the earth.

Cairne was far less like this than most tauren but he was still bound by this attitude and so i think he could have made a good warchief but i do not foresee a tauren superpower any time soon because they just dont have the expansionist attitude for it.

It didn't get really crazy until WotLK when the Forsaken most visibly moved away from their inital vanilla, "We're dead and free, what now?" concept and into, "We'll get revenge on E V E R Y O N E." face. Sylvanis started acting more and more like a cult leader, shit like Wraithgate happened and she got away with it...

I like Sylvanis. I like her as the Horde's, well, Genn. A lancer who doesn't have her faction's best interest at heart always and helps keep the conflict going. The problem is she gets away with some real supervillain shit a lot and outside of Garrosh consistently having her number she's gotten away with it and even got appointed the leader of the Horde by vague spirits only to immediately ditch it for a bid for personal immortality. and she lost it, which is GREAT, but I dunno where she's gonna go now because she's THE boss instead of A boss who can get chastised and/or forgiven.

tldr; She acts like a villain but doesn't get a villain's comeuppance until very recently which is where a lot of the resentment came from. Its just people reacting to a heel building heat.

I'd have them be Lordaeron citizens who actually want to cure themselves and still worship the Light and everything despite being Undead. They'd cover themselves in bandages to hide their shameful appearance. They'd stand in contrast with Sylvanas' Forsaken who accept that there is no cure and don't try to hide their affliction from the world.

As for the Night Elves, there could be some sort of societal split where the ones who are sick of the Druids and Priestess' being passive pussies go south of Ashenvale and join the Horde and/or Alliance. The ones that join the Horde would get Demonhunters and the ones that join the Alliance get Wardens as individual classes.

But hey, I'm just spouting ideas that will never happen.
