What are some good youtube channels for DMs? Only channel I know about is Drunkens & Dragons.
Counter Monkey
I've been watching Office Hours done by Adam Koebel. The guy looks like a fruit, but he's got some good GMing advice, and gets in depth with 3 questions per episode, with each episode being about 50 to 60 minutes or so.

I subscribe to Extra Credits.
It's mostly about videogame design, but slot of what they say transfers directly to dungeon/encounter/story design.
They are currently doing a special 6-part series on Balder's Gate.
Bonus: they aren't pretentious and opinionated.

Anyone know any good shadowrun channels??
>>49249496
That's some pretty good bait, man. I give it a 9/11.
Critical role on geek and sundry, mathew mercer is the best gm ever seriously
Okay fa/tg/uys who would your rather DM for you:
Matt Mercer,Matt Colville or Chris Perkins?

>>Matt Colville
He fudges dice sometimes which is pretty faggy but he seems to care about the rules of the game and he lets his players play in an open world of sorts in his fairly cool homebrew setting and likes to roll with the parties plans and let the dice and their actions decide things. Definitely my kind of DM
An actual game with Matt Mercer would be impossible as he'd expect you to be a handsome improv voice actor and look at you like some kind of nerd when you want to make a saving throw or actually roll some dice and use some abilities in combat.
I can never forgive Chris Perkins for shilling 4E and all his games seem like a massive boring railroad from one super awesome set piece encounter he has invented to the next. Dull as dishwasher. But at least he does play the game properly so he is better than Mercer.

Make it interesting, the other two do play with you but you're least favorite player from a game you've watched one of them run is also there.

>recommending Spoony
Do you want to have a bad time or someshit?

this one is legitimately terrible:

Perkins. I like the kind of ride he takes his players on. I don't mind subtle tracks as long as they go by something interesting.
>>49254751
Still Perkins. I think Mercer and Colville would make interesting co-players and I think Perkins has the best chances to find ways to work around She Who Must Not Be Named.
>>49256387
The rest were actually interesting, that one not so much.
>>49254399
>Colville as DM
>based Perkins and Mercer as players
>>49254751
>Marisha and/or Wil Wheaton
Well this has a chance to be painful but i think the good outweighs the bad>>49255233
