Armageddon. Even if somehow one of the guardsmen in that picture survived the battle, he'd probably die within a week due to shitting out all his putrefied and disease-ridden organs, turning into a chaos spawn, or mutating and being burned alive by an inquisitor.

Compared to that, even fighting orks seems less horrifying.
