Wouldn't it's volume then increase by the volume of whatever it consumed? They have to be subject to displacement. So with that cube you'd have the gelatinous cube's total volume essentially double to somewhere in the region of 56,000 liters (I think, mathfag can correct me on that) which must leave excess volume outside of the food cube which could then surely take in a certain degree of other foods, right?
