Think of an army (in any wargaming system) you've played.
Got it? Good. You're transported into a world by a an ancient entity where you must fight armies led by other people who were also dragged into the world. Your army is loyal to a fault and will never question your orders and decisions. How do you fair?
The train has no brakes.
I got this under lockdown.

Either I'd win through sheer determination or I'd die standing (it's what my men do best, and I'd hate to disappoint them).
>loyal to a fault
>never question orders
Granted, I'd just let da boyz get stuck in like any good warboss worth his salts would.
>MFW claiming this world for the Emperor
Yes??? My dark overlords cannot be defeated.

I'd be silly if i didnt pick my homebru Imperial Guard Regiment the 45th Targian Purebloods.
I guess i'd make a bigger deal of strategic prognostication and divination psychic powers. I'd develop an entire military devision for it. My objective would be to control the warp as a strategic resource, to that end i'd put boots on the ground anywhere that warp technology is being developed, found or generated.
I'd specialise my army in dealing with warp entities by reviewing videos of warfare using pict recorders, developing strategies to be passed down to the troops via large cinema-like rooms with practical advice unusually low on propaganda.
Once i've learned enough and understood the warp i'd develop technologies to try and harness the power to destroy the ruinous powers and/or develop myself into an imperial saint.

Implying you wouldn't be hunted down and burned alive for being a heretic
>>48421604
I wouldnt, for the simple reason that i'd never handle the technology myself. I'd use intermediaries to seperate myself from the risk. I'd also carry a null rod in a ceremonial baton.

>Skaven
>Loyal to a fault
Huh.
>>48421604
You see, the ruinous powers arnt gods.
Their competitors.
Its true that other inquisitors might come to the <Wrong> conclusion that you can control the ruinous powers. But you can probably play them off against eachother.
Owning the warp is something the Emperor has proven that humans can do. I'm not conceited enough to think i can surpass the emperor, but i can probably earn a place by his side.
Think I got this.

In concept that's actually terrifying
I think I'll be fine.
Y'know, it's funny, somehow I don't think I'll have an issue dealing with ground-based armies.
>Captcha is ships
reasonable marines go!
A skaven army that is loyal to a fault? I got this.
>>48427080
Reasonable Marines can go suck Angry dicks.
>SENDING LINK-BEAM TO INQUISITON STRIKE CRUISER <<sword_of_mercy>>
>LINK-BEAM ESTABLISHED
>TARGET INPUT?...
>TARGET CONFIRMED
>EXTERMINATUS INITIATED
They have brought me victory on the tabletop, they will bring me victory in this.
>>48420297
I actually think I'll be pretty okay.
welp
I choose a Skelton army of the annoying kind that magically repair and attack with basic swords infinitely.
>>48420297
I'd be so balls deep in Sororitas pussy I wouldn't have time to lead them in battle. So pretty poorly I imagine.
