Does any RPG have comparative stats for various special operators, such as the SAS, Spetznaz, GNG, Green Berets, DEVGRU, etc.?
This is especially aimed at any wargamers that might have comparative unit stats. I don't know wargaming at all.
I'm writing some modern stuff and I wanted to know which commando groups had specializations, better training, comparative regimens, etc.
bump for maybe GURPS?
Maybe Twilight 2000?

>Spetsnaz as a singular group
Dont make that mistake.

GURPS: Tactical Shooting explores this a bit, IIRC.
I haven't read it myself, but there is a GURPS: Special Ops book. I imagine it'll have some info you're looking for.

GURPS Special Ops had a shit-ton of templates, but that was last edition. 4th ed has been pretty cautious about assigning real-world characters game stats beyond some notes in Tactical shooting about what skill levels they consider suitable for various types of shooter and some martial arts 'styles' suitable for gunfighters (in GURPS, 'martial arts' covers all forms of combative training, not just unarmed combat).

It's a bit old, but Top Secret SI had a supplement called Commando that covered this sort of thing. Aside from being 80's as fuck, it should be pretty useful.

Didn't know that.

GURPS Seals in Vietnam?

>Seaman Frank Fisher
At least they didn't call him Seaman Frank Furter.

Ah yes, the typical 275 point SEAL. Truly an American classic. *Claps*
