I played in a modern tournament today at my lcg and played mono

Did you play without Chalice of the Void? That's pretty cruicial.

Bother mindslaver and chalice would have been irrelevant in those games. I played the noble hierarch infect deck and merfolk and i stood 0 chance. I didnt even assemble all my lands when i died to infect and merefolk just made my control look like a joke. I didnt evem have time to think about my wormcoils or sundering titan.

Chalice is great against infect. At one it counters most problem spells.

Merfolk is a really hard matchup, though.
