Torn between three new OC ideas.

1. Remake the Man Who Would Be King one I did years ago. Basically, be a godking to primitive natives in colonial times. Don't let them discover you're just some dude pulling a massive con on them.
2. Space adventure thing except you and your crew are all escaped criminals. Think Blake's 7 except you're not necessarily being framed like Blake was.
3. Aliens have recruited you and a bunch of other humans to save the galaxy. Unfortunately their selection process was based entirely on what they read people claim about themselves on message boards. Can you lead your band of furries, fat white kids with samurai swords and the best sniper in the entire US armed forces to victory?

Access to almost all powers through Power Generation, which seems incredibly powerful. Needing 10 years to get up to full power is a hassle but the plan is to be as untraceable as possible. Then once I'm at my top power and much more practiced at swapping out my powers I'll be very powerful. I'll never be as strong as someone who specialized in one field but my strength is in my flexibility and the huge array of options laid out before me. It might actually be worth taking the Hunted disadvantage for the Unpredictable power.

Replication is just one of many strong powers to choose with Power Generation, allowing me an even wider array of abilities though they'd all be quite massively underpowered.

Hello, anons, I'm working on a cyoa similar to pic related and wanted an opinion - Would the stats Athleticism, Cuteness, Intelligence, Lewdness and Magic be good for a cyoa like this? Idea for it is you choose between 1 and 4 lolis and some equipment plus house upgrades. Each loli gets base stats and the house upgrades and equipment modify them further. There will be different missions based on each loli as well to allow some writefaggotry as well.

Hey everyone, I'm a bit concerned. Basically, after reviewing what /CYOA/ said about some of the powers I listed here, I'm afraid that I may have made them too vague for /CYOA/. A lot of you complained that they were way to expensive for a High-Magic setting. I've taken your complaints into account, but even so, the major issue is that my powers are not meant to be used as they're simply listed. Each power is meant to be combined with a few others and used in creative ways.

One of the best and most creative uses for powers that I've seen on /CYOA/ was the use of Portals in Artifex (Pre-Nerf). So, many are intended to be used like that.

I'd like you all to look at this power and tell me what you think about it. List the most creative ways in which you can use them and any other powers you remember me posting from before. If your responses indicate that you all can imaginatively stretch the use of these powers, then I'll leave them as they are, if not, then I'll have to figure something out.

This is a spoiler and is only for those of you who want to take part in the WIP process and not those who want to enjoy the CYOA at it's fullest.

Eldritch code and gunmetal blood.

I now have acid spikes that I will use to murder anyone i see a problem with. melt doorways, combine the hardness to prevent near any damage except surface damage, melt through steel, hell, if i have perfect control over my blood, I'll amp up. I don't know i have any control over hormones and chemicals in my body but by manipulating how fast my blood goes through my body i can probably increase my adrenaline levels.

I use the gunmetal blood's vibration sense to gain an awareness of everything going on around me, or if I don't see what it sees, I could just set it to murder anything that got too close or acted aggressively. Murder mind is super cool, though i'd need to see all the other powers to estimate it's potential. Alone it is potent, though it only tells you how to do things, and doesn't grant you the ability and coordination to actually do them. You'd need some sort of power that gives you absolute control over something to maximize it's potential.

Lets start with temporal chain, it's not worth 13 points anyway I look at it. Used with gunmetal or eldritch it holds them in place while you shiv them. Could just as well use a lasso desu, and their seeing the past deal with murdermind lets you know the best way to kill anyone they've met but...you could just get some binoculars? Going by the previous teaser the only really good use on it would be on super queen to see how to murder the lady of the lake, but y'know. The whole having to thoroughly bind miss OP isn't happening. Plus the cancer for whatever qualifies as "excessive use" and splatter film result on a victim for "excessive use" which could be looking into their past or tying them up for too long. Also highly illegal to boot, lets not.

Eldritch Code is good for disposing of victims through acidity to remove corpses. Easy to make a surprise attack with from any angle, or for use as an impromptu shield by emitting blood, hardening it, and then reabsorbing it. Shame about the pain and "excessive use" madness. Easy for breaking in somewhere with brute force. Used with murder mind for reducing the burdens of it with minimum amounts of blood used per kill. Gunmetal has been spoke of already when used with it so I'll add that the combo takes away the downside of the pain (probably since no mentions of the issue with gunmetal). So the automatic defense now has a bite and most likely kills the attacker, which is a certainty if you add in murdermind since automatic.

Which goes ditto with gunmetal and murdermind, optimizes your blood for battle. Combo'd with eldritch you can inject your blood into others to dissolve them as it moves on it's own through their system, potentially disturbing their circuits. Your blood is now a multitool, and presumably if you dump some out you can remote control it for recon or assassination. If you can subtly slip some into another person's drink it can be an unseen poison, that can erase traces of itself by returning.

Using this build, I would create a sleeper cell-esque cult that would wait until it is powerful enough to take control of a decently powerful nation of my choosing. From there, I'd muck about and screw up everything on a global scale, perhaps starting a nuclear war if my new nation is equipped for it.

I used the Unknown curse to get the Power of Friendship boon because I figured I'd be on the move anyway. Any anon willing to buddy up?

Also, I tried practicing an evil laugh and ended up genuinely laughing at nothing for 10 minutes. Not sure if this is a good or a bad thing.

Probably not, but I'm really reaching trying to find something for those chains beyond what is simply stated. Quiet said this came from a god so I figured I'd toss the idea out and maybe get a confirm or deny. Someone mentioned postcog would be useful, which in solving a mystery could be true, but then again the pre-req must be binding them thoroughly and digging into the past of someone sounds like a raw deal for both parties. Maybe useful for strangulating someone or using them as impromptu rappel lines, or linking them between two buildings for a rope bridge escape. I might just be unimaginative but the power doesn't appeal to me the more and more I think on it.

DESU the only one I'd go for would be gunmetal as it seems the least likely of turning me into part of the problem instead of the solution. Plus with Murdermind there is no off switch mentioned. So enjoy mentally killing your friends, love interests, professors, rivals, the nice lady at the canteen who sneaks you food, and the mail guy in your head every time you see them. And every random creature that crosses your path with the accumulated mental burden. Useful for combat but sounds like the negatives are outweighing them.

What about using the chains for like a spiderman-esque transportation manner? That was the only reason I'm 100% on buying them. I agree with your assessment of Murder Mind, in that it's just too much of a risk. The problem with the chains is that in certain countries they're illegal, so good luck presenting any evidence you gathered with them. Not to mention even showing them off while you're doing your Spiderman thing is gonna get you arrested.

I don't see too much of an issue with Whispering Blood, Quiet said that it's classified as an Eldritch Code, which means it's cheap and strong but makes you crazy, so I feel like I'll take it if I have the points left over but won't use it too much. Gunmetal blood doesn't appeal to me due to how easy it can be to subvert. It's metal right? So it conducts electricity. You just need some lighting power and boom, done.

Skill stealing is ridiculously powerful in a fantasy setting. By year 8 I'll head deep into the wilds and start stealing famous mages' skills. They know it's me, but they don't know where I am. Eventually I'll start stealing famous warrior and rogue abilities. Then move on to academic knowledge. In time, I'll discover immortality, and become master of all.

Then ruler of all.

Because I saw no mentions of the chains defying physics so I presume that trying to spiderman is not going to end very well, given that they don't give you spidy's strength or durability nor are they as conductive to web slinging as actual spider webs. Lack of elasticity, although durable enough that I considered them for rappelling down from heights.

The "makes you crazy" which is an issue in and of itself. That being said, the specific amount of blood "500 liters" makes me curious how and where all of that blood is being stored in addition to if your blood regenerates at a reasonable pace/at all. One final use I can see is maybe quick healing as the blood heals as it exits your body, but then again you still bleed out just far, far more slowly if they keep drawing your blood.

Last thing on murder mind no one pointed out yet was the being said it has only offered it to you, then contradicts itself by mentioning test subjects prior to you. It also said earlier that it "didn't horribly murder the user" but still has bugs. There's also unhead in there which is either a typo or this turns you into a dullahan.

Gunmetal...if someone has conductivity it can be an issue but you're fucked either way in that situation even if your blood was normal should you come into contact with it. Inversely, if you control it outside of yourself the blood could act as an impromptu conductor for a variety of purposes. Downside to this power is that the mind of it's own mentioned is not stated to only be restricted to combat...which leaves me cautious. Especially given the image choice in particular.

If I seem paranoid then it's because it's a quiet CYOA and it comes with the territory. All in all, I'd take gunmetal and not touch the other 3 whatsoever.

If the chains can be summoned at a flat rate from any point in space, that means that you could continue to summon a change and continuously increase it's length to make up for it's rigidity. The major issue is how to get into the air in the first place, because if you retract too quick that'll exert an opposite force on you and might snap your neck. Another issue is that unlike the web, they can't stick, but you can throw them at an angle towards your intended target, and if you get the arc right, you should have the end of the chain wrap around something that should be strong enough to support your weight.


Or fuck why not just make a chain grab another chain which grabs another one? Why not just use a single chain that you keep with yourself at all times, wrapped around your forearm, and then use that to interlink with other summoned chains?
