Ciri actually is way less of a slut than Triss or Yennifer. If she's slept with anyone it would be pretty low, like one or two. She's not like Triss or Yenn who're hundreds of years old. Most her life was spent with Geralt training to be a Witcheress.
>>
>>47893312
Witcher origin. . .
Most expensive origin at 300, they are weaker than sorcerer/sorceress, capstone is just having to pay an extra 300 points to get the traits that your origin should have given you.

Never been in a bar. But I assume so yes.
Don't like beer.
I DO like Whiskey on the rare occasions I've had it.

Then again I liked Whiskey as an infant. I was teething and my Father's Uncle put a bottle of it in my mouth rather than just rubbing some on my gums, I apparently would not let go of the bottle.

>>47899183
Shit. . .

All of the Witcher perks are just becoming especially good at things that all Witchers are at least somewhat skilled at anyway and the capstone is having to pay an extra 300 points for what should be free with the origin to begin with.

This means that in practice not only is the Witcher origin three times more expensive than the stronger Magic User origin but it also has no capstone perk!

Well Ciri had this ability to basically teleport. You ever play Twilight Princess, Wolf Link lays down a circle. Then when you release the button Wolf Link like teleports from enemy to enemy. That's what she can do. She can also teleport like World of Warcraft's Blink.

Most her prowless comes from being trained by Geralt to be a Witcheress. She was also a Sorcereress but she gave up magic. I agree it's way too much for 800cp, it seems to be more along the line of 600cp with other capstones.

>>
>>47899025
You'd be better off just taking the witcher capstone as another origin.
>>
>>47899604
Nah, Ciri's abilities are way more than that.

Most obviously it also essentially makes her a pseudo-Planeswalker. That's like the whole reason the Wild Hunt wants her. Well, and making more babies with her powers.

It also gives huge magical reserves. Remember what she did at Later Morgen?
>>
>>47899660
That is actually true, just to be a real Witcher you would have to pay 600 points. the same as the perk without the origin. Why not just abandon the shit Witcher tree and get the discounts for a origin with perks that aren't shit.

Fuuuuck, this place would be nice if I weren't forced into celibacy for a decade. Oh well, guess I'll have to make due with hand holding. It should be a simple 10 years of making friends around town. All I have to do is put up with the witches screwing with me all the time. And make sure that the people don't get corrupted by Meenah. Or Vriska. Or Terezi. Sigh... At least I'm forced to stay happy through it all anyway.

I also have to sing to get the best results out of all work I do from now on, and my singing is awful. Going to have to keep my workshops isolated from now on.

I've got a small solar system. It works like this: Start with the scenario in Biomega that gives you an extradimensional space the size of Jupiter. You can't store things in there, but living organisms can hang out just fine. So build a biological spaceship in there, taking advantage of the full space to grow in. Make sure to make it sapient, so it counts a companion. Now, take it through the cliche size upgrades in Supreme Commander and Five Star Stories. By my rough math, it should now have something around 400 times Jupiter's volume. Many more times Jupiter's mass, on average flesh is denser than the substance of a gas giant. So you take it to X-Men Movieverse and buy it Omega Self-Molecular Manipulation, and have it rearrange its parts. Split off about fifty Jovian masses for a dwarf star, another two or so for planets, and the rest to go into a halo of asteroids and interstellar gas.

First things first adjourn to the warehouse and see what I can learn about Tameranean genetics. After setting some computers to crunching the numbers while I contemplate my own observations we go to meet the Teen Titans, Raven especially. I ask about the possibility of an information exchange with her. I am rebuffed at first, but after occasionally helping the Titans for a while she finally consents letting me look through her collection of books and collect a genetic sample from her in exchange for looking through my library. I also offer to balance her demon side with some angelic dna, however she is rather leary of making drastic changes to herself. Meanwhile I move my base of operations to the Skaian Battleship which I place outside of Pluto's orbit while leaving a teleporter at titan tower. While there I do some testing with clones and tameranean genes to make sure I can safely augment myself with them, I successfully crack the key to the project right as I get word that Trigon has entered the human world delaying my augmentation. While my team and I aid the Titans in assaulting Trigon I manage to hack off a finger and place it in my minecraft inventory and drain a fair bit of his energy before being stopped with the assault force. Shortly thereafter Raven comes back and kicks daddy's butt home. I ask again if she wants some angelic balancing of her genes, but she claims to have made peace with herself. After the battle, when I return to my lab I finally get around to augmenting myself gaining a Tameranean's Flight, Omnilinguistic Assimilation, Self-sustenance, and Environmental Adaptation. Using the genetic material from Raven and Trigon I manage to further augment myself with Teleportation, Intangibility, and Dimensional travel as well as enhancing the durability and regeneration of my body. My friends and I continue to help the Titans on occasion, but don't really get too much further involved before it's time to leave.

...with applied energestics.

By my calculations I can store the equivalent of 1.7*10^15 cubic meters of stone, should I need it. Less of more complex material of course. The volume of the Earth is 1.08*10^12 cubic meters, by the way.

One post. So ok.

Mad Hatter, Witcher Jump is decent as is. However there's several changes that several of us would like to see.

Drop-In Elder Blood, it's a bit too much cost at 800cp for Ciri-lite. It would make sense for 800cp and Wild Hunt mandatory drawback if it was near Ciri's level. That or reduce it to 600cp.

Witcher origin is 300cp, it ough to be 100cp to put it more aligned with Sorcereress/Sage origin.

Old/New Witcher isn't really a thing, all Witchers are "old" because they're dying caste. They no longer have the knowledge of the Trails of Grass & Dreams which are essential in making new Witchers. However only 3/10 boys survive, which is part the problem.

Become A Monster seems to be a "tax" to be a normal Witcher. Effectively making the origin cost 600cp.

Ok /JC/ what else should we ask him to change?
>>
>>47900284
Why would a jumper let himself be limited to the canon? Also you're wrong about your conclusions but I'll let others point out the flaws in your reasoning.
>>
>>47900332
what if you are in your warehouse at the time? then you won't technically be in universe.
>>
>>47900347
Just shut the fuck up already. No one wants to talk about this or read about it anymore, just fuck off with this.
>>
>>47900352
Well I suppose a jumper immune to time manipulation could pull a sans and kill Frisk repeatedly for ten years to run out the clock. . .
>>
>>47900355
Well, unless you take a certain drawback, you can't get the universe-destruction ending. And since in canon one character avoided the soul sucking just by not answering his door when the evil demon-vines came knocking, you'll be fine. You don't even have to hide in your Warehouse. Just pay attention to Metaton's news channel, and if you see anything about a little human child stay inside for the next couple of days.
>>
>>47900332
In True Pacifist you can literally (LITERALLY) just stay inside your house and you'll be fine.

Genocide... I don't recall if the jump or the duo of makers spoke on it, but considering how everyone who's posted builds unaffect by drawbacks treated it, it's likely that the "default" (read: Jumper didn't corrupt Frisk or strengthen Chara) ending is True Pacifist, which makes Genocide's universal destruction a non-issue.

Okay, so, here's the thing: there's a fellow named Flowey, Flowey the Flower. He looks harmless at first, except that for half the time you'll be there he can reset time, and is a sadistic, soulless jackass who is a firm believer in kill or be killed, with the ultimate goal of becoming a God and making the world his plaything. Luckily, he's fairly weak by himself, and Sans is on guard against him, and let me tell you despite his seemingly silly, lazy behavior, he's one of the most dangerous characters in the game. The Underground is filled with monsters that want to kill the fallen humans, take their souls, destroy the barrier that the humans trapped them with, and then destroy humanity. Except they're all a bunch of lovable, loving goofballs that can be persuaded fairly easily to give up on that goal.
>>
>>47900347
Wait until we see him again and we can voice our complaints at that time, until then we should drop it.
I say hypocritically as the one who started this whole shitstorm with my constant bitching about the Witcher origin. . .

They don't even want to destroy humanity, they just want out of the Underground. They're honestly pretty nice people. Even the "kill the fallen humans" bit is due to Asgore being really unwilling to go through with all the killing. Toriel calls him out on it, points out that he only needs seven souls to get everyone out, and he could use a single soul to escape by himself, grab six more souls from outside the barrier, then break it from the outside. But he actually really doesn't want to kill a bunch of kids, so he dawdles on it and only kills them when he feels the pressure to free his subjects get really strong.
>>
>>47900403
It is noted in the jump that Frisk naturally moves towards a pacifist run, yes. So, yeah, all you'd have to do to avoid a Bad End would be to shack up in a house for a couple days and not open the door for anyone.

Oh boy, time to show what a giant fucking nerd and retard I am!

This also gives me the excuse to show all the updates, despite how pathetic it is.

http://pastebin.com/35AJD9Lj - Celestial Forge... we can basically make any machine in this. Weapon, shield, armor, vehicle, you name it. Whatever can fit in the Warehouse.

http://pastebin.com/VPrgN3yn - Digital Pun-Pun. What basically got me started on Mr. Bones' Wild Ride. Can reprogram any magical spell, augment it, twist it, make it our bitch. Hell, anything MAGICAL, this means Magitech too.

http://pastebin.com/GAhTQs75 - Genetic Augmentation Machine... if it's alive, we can mess with it. If it's got an anatomy, we can mess with it. Grow cybernetics through DNA, alter the anatomy of the soul, assist in psychotherapy, the works. We can take a fat 5'0" Down Syndrome nerd with three limbs missing and turn him into a GOD.

http://pastebin.com/YESqzKnv - Garden of Eternity. Yeah yeah, laugh it up, "lol it's the jumper", whatever. It's basically a magpie shed by now that grew out of control. Fuckhuge supply of grown fruit, over Twenty Wells/Nodes, eternal moonlight/daylight effects, Gourmet Cells, the bloody works. Even lined it with my own soul by now.

http://pastebin.com/55JAfQ3A - Survive the Garden. That's right, I had to make a plan to survive my own plan. It doesn't get any more fucked up than that. It's basically meant to help us channel, harness, and contain a shitton of different, conflicting energies that are going to be pouring in at any given time. It's... I don't even.

SO YEAH. Just pretty much playing around with what 598 jumps can do. No big ships, no massive universes, no armies. Just me and wondering what can I do while sticking within the confines of the Warehouse. Turns out? The answer is "a lot".

So much for celebrating the end of generic sugar bowl with an orgy. We're all 10 years old and I've got ADAM's embryo calling to me. As an angel hybrid, I'm probably in contact with SEELE in the same way Kaworu was. That puts me in a good position to do something about them. First order of business is to get the trolls to raid wherever they're keeping ADAM and destroy it. They were fighting armies of monsters at 13, surely they can handle some average humans even at 10.

Meanwhile, Cuteness Overload makes it so I just have to get a SEELE member to look me in the eyes to get them to spill the beans about their plans for Third Impact. Then I can either hang around subtly guiding SEELE away from it, or, failing that wipe them out. At this point in the timeline they've got at most 1 Evangelion operational, so there's nothing that can protect them against an angel. After derailing those threats, there's nothing left but to hang out for six years before the other angels start attacking.

Then the series can proceed mostly as normal, except with every battle being an insane clusterfuck of Angels on one side and on the other me, some Evangelions, my horde of Ultralisk mooks, Vriska stealing the Angels' luck, and Terezi screeching orders at everyone over the radio.

Really though, the Geofront is Aranea's chance to shine. Tons of people whose psychological issues are preventing them from becoming the heroes they could be? That's just begging for a good 'ol pic related style healing for everybody. The setting is probably a straightforward generic mecha show by the time we're done with it.

So I choose to take this jump relatively early and to try and make it more interesting by adding a powerful foe in with a drawback…
So apparently dropping an ancient powerful Vampire in to a world with no supernatural aspects what so ever is a lot like dropping a nuke. Unfortunately this Nuke took up residence in the criminal underworld and made things suck (pun intended) for the entire ten years since he was nearly impossible to kill.
I did at least bring down Decima technologies before they even got started but HR was much nastier because they had vampires now (guess who was responsible for that). Also Elias…. Never really showed up, Strahd took over the crime families and either Elias stayed hidden as a teacher or just disappeared in the middle of the night.
The Machine flipped out fairly early in to the jump because of all the impossible things that were going on but surprisingly it adapted pretty damn quickly to a world where people can rise from the grave as undead beasts and throw fireballs.
So I went in expecting a down to earth crime drama with a near-psychic computer and I wound up with… I am still not sure but it wasn’t what I was expecting. Somehow I think I got exactly what I deserved for taking that drawback. Lessons were learned (and promptly forgotten).

Now, here comes the important part: by the start of the game, the monsters have six souls, and are one soul away from their goal. Five years into the jump, a kind hearted child named Frisk will enter the Underground, and steal Flowey's ability to reset. Here come the spoilers: Frisk will make it through the Underground, all the way to King Asgore and the Barrier. There it is revealed that another human fell down before all the others. This child was found by the prince, Asriel, and adopted by the Royal family. Wanting revenge on humanity, the child came up with a plan, convinced Asriel to help them kill them self via a poisonous flower that would resemble a mysterious illness, and then had their adopted brother absorb their soul to cross the barrier and grab the other six. Despite the Fallen Child having control initially, and wanting to destroy their former village, Asriel refused to kill the humans, and was mortally wounded. This is why Asgore want revenge, as he was led to believe "Asriel" was simply returning their sibling to their former home like they had asked". Back to the present, after a difficult fight Frisk defeats and spares the Monster King, only for Flowey to kill him and take the six human souls.
>>
>>47900533
I don't think so, if you've just got them in storage and not importing them as companions they shouldn't get the unique properties that human souls have in the Undertale universe. But if you could get them out without hurting people, the monsters would be super happy about that. In canon when they get out they just acclimate to human society and live happy lives. They're really quite nice people, makes me wonder how the war between humans and monsters happened in the first place. Especially because monsters are super weak. Like, the reason your character can kill them despite being a child isn't because of any special powers, it's just that monsters or so weak that a stern glare can harm them. Literally, the very intent to harm them can damage them. One of the weapons is a toy gun, merely the fact that you're pointing it at them and going "bang bang" is enough to hurt them.
>>
>>47900533
Undertale human SOULs are actually hella swole, so you'll probably need more than seven if you're gonna use out-of-setting ones to shatter the barrier.

>The Snarbolax equipment from Spiral Knights as reinforcement/resistence/stabilization filler
>And I'm trying to sort out what Gaia Memory to use to cap it all off with Neo Heisei

I'm pretty much relying on a crafting focused companion to help build it together due to the early situation.
>>
>>47900628

>>
>>47900638
Not Secundo's Waifus

And honestly? I made the build solely for Greeed, since I've got Kamen Rider on the brain, and so I could basically say "I can take her" about Taylor Hebert.

Hence why I was hoping for a low roll.

>>47900664
Human SOULs can turn back time through Determination.

Presumably each other the other Colors(The colors of the SOUL represent different things, Red is Determination, I think Green is Justice, I don't know the others) has a similarly bullshit power.
>>

You know the big feature of DETERMINATION in Undertale is that whoever has the most of it can save, reset, and is functionally immortal. If you take determination without getting companion Frisk you will become that person in every future jump.
>>
>>47900705
Can't they only do that in the underground though?
>>
>>47900726
Pretty sure, given that Fritz didn't have that power before coming to the Underground. I blame it on W.D Gaster's experiments.
>>
>>47900725

>>
>>47900533
Or, for that matter, could you unlock it with a Disjunction spell, a Keyblade, or a similar focused unlocking technique?
>>
>>47900615
Continuing on: Flowey then seems to destroy the world, as the game crashes, and upon being reloaded the intro and save file is corrupted, with the save file now reading "Flowey LV 9999 My World". After briefly taunting Frisk, he takes on a nightmarish form referred to as Omega Flowey. Frisk is calls out to the trapped souls for help, and while it seems like they're beating Flowey at first, he easily resets the damage done before killing them several times. When all seems lost, the other souls break free and defeat Flowey, who is spared by Frisk. Unable to understand compassion and mercy due to his soulless state, Flowey suffers a nervous breakdown and flees. It is ultimately revealed that Flowey just teleported them, as he only had six souls, not enough to become a god. Frisk, after getting a hint from Flowey, resets time to before the fight with Asgore, then helps set up a date between two of their friends, discovers the truth about the two adopted children and Flowey's creation, and learns something about DETERMINATION. Once again confronting Asgore, all of Frisk's friends show up to stop the fight, and everything seems good..
>>
>>47900746
That says if you try to out DETERMINATION Frisk you are likely to turn into slime, that however only happens to monsters and is jumpmaker fiat.

It is an arbitrary limit that should really be replaced with something to the tune of locked away post jump until you get your spark.

My fluffy tails, and my wife.
But those are boring, so let's talk about a past life!
The first multi-jump project of my first chain was the Warehouse canon. It started when I was offered an object made from adamantium in Marvel jump, and I was in a really Or/k/y mood.
It was essentially a nuclear howitzer deployed from the Warehouse using Portals, with carefully calibrated Forcewalls to shield the rest of the Warehouse from the Casaba Howitzer muzzle flash.
The firing chamber and barrel were made from Vibranium lined Adamantium, and the propellant was Nuclear Bombs. Preferably stolen ones.

Anything suitably durable would do for ammunition, but my favorite projectiles were essentially these...
https://youtu.be/dhbWfhBDNzk
Made from Uru that was enchanted for Durability and Impact, and overfilled with Redstone/Philosopher's stone under a space folding enchantment designed to fail on contact with a sufficiently hard target.
As an example, the troposphere would be a sufficiently hard target.
FMA, Marvel, and Harry Potter for it's balling enchantments.
That was while ago, back in the simple times.

Determination's ability to do *Save and *Load is explicitly unavailable to jumpers. It basically makes it impossible for you to fail, only at worst enter an endless stubborn loop of not failing but not succeeding either.
Not something that would be too kosher to offer in any way, shape or form if we didn't blunt it immediately.
Murdertale will let you get it legitimately, but the costs are already baked into what you need to get it.

While it should be unavailable to jumpers it actually isn't, the only place in the jump where it says that you can't is when it tells you about what is likely to happen if you try ti get Frisk levels of determination. Melting is not an issue for humans and Frisk level determination is in no way required to use the SAVE power anyway unless Frisk himself is there with more determination than you. The power belongs to whoever has the most determination so for half the jump you just need to out determination Flowy anyway.

While we're talking about Undertale, and I'm apologizing in advance for this, but I wanna ask something that might lead to bitching.

Do you have to worry too much about Flowey using SAVE/LOAD to unavoidably kill you before Frisk shows up? 'Cause it seems like he'd be able to just keep trying until he gets you if you don't have out of context powers, and at the same time he's sadistic enough that he'd probably try to kill random NPC #3612 just because he could. Is this something we need to be concerned about, or do your deaths not count if Flowey undoes your death?

Also, not much related to this, but how hard would it be to be a fallen human, then just chill out 'till Frisk shows up?

It's a possibilty, however the main reason that Flowey is dangerous here besides being basically a savescummer is that he has a high Level of Violence. Level of Violence isn't (by definition)directly related to your experience in killing, by the way, since it's defined as your willingness and mental fortitude to kill someone else. Most jumpers probably have a pretty high LOVE just due to detachment from the world, if I had to reckon. I can't say it's a 100% perfect defense but it's a buffer. Those factors ARE worrying, though. Literally your best bet is to >>47901060
this, make it extremely difficult for him to actually beat you in a straight fight or just frustrate him to the point he finds a less insanely tough target.
>>
>>47901087
>The jump maker left a loophole that I am compelled to exploit to some degree
This is a profound, painful level of autism. I don't understand how you manage to function.

Also, what kind of idiot thinks that it makes any sense to get perfect save/reload by spending 100 CP?
>>
>>47901169
>but I don't want it to ruin my chain, therefore I just wank that It won't work until post spark to keep it from breaking things.
>>
>>47901087
Well, the 'jumpmaker' is saying right now you can't fuckin' Save/Load no matter what level of determination you have. We thought it was implicit that something as potent as save/loading was only available as a perk but. That's the ruling right now, if the PDF needs to get edited to get that across then I'm not above doing that.
>>47901108
This, however, is totally fine.

In the judgement hall, guarding the castle as is my duty. I smile as the Fallen Child enters the hall their soul stained near black with the Level of Violence that they'd attained.
"Listen kid," the Fallen Child turns to me and my soul pulses at the malice they so easily throw around, "the only way the legendary survivors of the last War with humans were able to even compete wasn't by fighting as the monsters you came across." Suddenly they were pierced with dozens of blue swords before being held in a tornado of orange blades. Fire joined the tornado of slashing blade. "It was by doing this, creating impossible traps that no one can get past." I grinned as the last of their HP drained away and their soul shattered. "So tell me," time rewound but I was immune to anyone else's manipulation of that force so I continued speaking even as I cut the Fallen Child's head clean from their shoulders, "can you endure an impossible trap, or will you lose determination." Time rewound again. "You just have to reset and never take this path and you'll never have to worry about this again," another kill this time from fire engulfing them and strobeing orange and blue whilst a separate white flame dealt constant damage to them, "we would have won but a monsters heart is ultimately a kind one, thus we often faltered and couldn't not give an out. A few of us, myself included, still know how to fight human's of Determination though." Another flicker of time to short to be a reset. "So just lay down that knife!"
*Five thousand eighty continues later*
"It's not fair."
"I told you from the very beginning it wouldn't be." I flicked out a cage of blue swords. They almost flinched into them. "This is the path of battle that most monsters find too bloody to truly embrace, but those few who have... we do what we must."
"I'll reset now, sir." They were almost defeated. My charisma and constant psychological warfare was almost done.
"Do so from in there."
In a flash it [RESET]

Other anons talked about this, I thought the idea was phenomenal.
I utilize the Microverse batteries from Rick & Morty, and through reverse engineering sillicon life integration of cybernetics and Cobra-la, I found out how to integrate the microverse battery into an organ in my body. A great deal of this was handled by symbiote and Iji nanotechnology. And through use of Personal Analysis from Evo, an R & E tinker and my own miniaturization skills I figured out how to not only create more, but also make them as small as organelles.
With all that energy at my disposal, beam spam is a go, and thats without taking into account what I actually put in them, like dark matter generators.

Assuming you have things apply to you that otherwise normally would, where there's no explicit ruling on the matter, is literally the only logical course of action you fucking idiots.

What, am I just supposed to assume the other way around, that some things that usually apply in a given setting just don't fucking work for me because 'reasons'? That's on the same level as assuming things apply where they otherwise wouldn't in a given setting because there's no ruling on it.

Both are irrational conclusions for that only stupid people(Read, all of you apparently) would come to.

You should be fine then against Medusa, though she's not at Baba Yaga's Castle(that's her sister's base), you'll have to track her down. You don't get to keep SAVE/LOAD because it's not really part of the setting's metaphysics. It only works in the Underground, inside the barrier. It doesn't work in the outside. It won't work in other worlds.

We absolutely do. That's why most of us don't hand out the strongest things in our settings. Because if one Jump lets you conquer every other Jump, then there's no point to Jumpchain.
>>
>>47901756
So that means inheritance magic has none of the limits or danger inherent to it that people in that setting normally have to work with? It doesn't say anything about how dangerous it is in the jump doc after all.

No one does the above because we ASSUME SETTING CONVENTION APPLIES. LIKE FUCKING SANE PEOPLE. But apparently this is something you'd do, because you assume by default that that setting convention DOESN'T apply.

You assume that things that would normally apply to you in a setting, don't. You seem to agree that assuming things that normally wouldn't apply to you would.

>>47901834
I'm not arguing about Undertale. Fuck that setting, it's irreverent to the conversation I'm trying to have right now. I'm arguing about the idea of 'implicit' things in jumps, specifically for the sake of jump balance.

Do you think it would be possible, using a perk or item that lets me travel within the local multiverse of a setting, to find a world where there was a local version of me who died just before I got there in a manner that I could cover up? You know, the Rick and Morty method of dealing with multiversal redundancy. Because I'm thinking of using dimensional travel to get around setting details I don't like by traveling to alternates of that setting where things are different (within reason, of course, I'm not planning on using this to powergame. Just to make the story more entertaining for me), but I don't want to have to abandon the identity I had. I like how non-Drop In origins give you a backstory in that universe. It's useful.

Her sister's still recovering from her battle with Death, so even if she knew, she wouldn't be able to tell you, though her servants might if you strike a deal with them or intimidate them. Aracnophobia's strong, but without Arachne they've fallen on hard times. The other witches might help you though, they all hate her, so if you can convince them they could give you directions. Witch is powerful, though Meister in general is a counter against the Madness, and might give you a chance against Asura if he revived, though it will take training and help. He's also a true immortal, so you can only deal him. If you can do so before he's revived actually, Death might be able to leave the city and help the world more

>Wait. All perks? You mean all Witcher perks, right? It wouldn't help my Sorcerer build?

Changed the wording to be more specific as to be to Witcher Perks.

>How exactly does being an Old Witcher interact with Elder Blood? Also, if you companion Ciri, can you break out of the friend zone or are you stuck there?

Answered in the notes.

>No canon companion discounts for sorceress/sage.
>I iz sads.

Probably will add more companions. Don't worry, my fellow caster. Friends are coming!

>Plot of land
>So, what does this give for Sorceress/Sage?

Added a laboratory. So yeah, go nuts/bananas/banananutbread.

>Wait, how does being an old witcher work for non-witcher origins?

Changed it so now only those that purchase the Witcher Origin could become an old Witcher. For the sake of balance, as I did not want to make things too powerful, however, if people want something else, I am all ears.

Eh, might work. As for how Asura was sealed? First off, his location alone is a big secret, but basically Death beat the shit out of him, skinned him alive, imprisoned him in his own sack of skin, put him into a Cthulhu-esque slumber, chained the skin bag up, placed holy seals on it, locked it behind several gates, walls, and other such things, built a city on top of it, and then bound himself to that area in order to use his own Madness of Order to keep him sealed. None of that is common knowledge, and only the elite or high ranking members know about it. Crona sealed him away at the end with a combination of the rest of the cast weakning him and their own power as a Kishin, plus being literally inside of Asura and the Great Old One of Knowledge's artifact BREW to seal him in a black blood casing that engulfed the entire moon.

Let me take this step by step, as regardless of how I approach it, I will have made and still can make mistakes. So please, be patient with my mistakes.

First;
>> Why are there Old/New Witchers?

Old Witchers survived the Trials of the Grasses, which mutated the original human form into that more suited of a monster hunter.
New Witchers were taught how to fight monsters, but rely solely on their knowledge and trained disciplines, no natural mutations, no increased perceptions or speed. Just regular people fighting monsters for money.

As far as I'm concerned, your opinion is still invalid because you aren't a jump maker. If you can't substantiate your claim of being one, you aren't.
>>
>>47902319
I know you're trolling, but I feel compelled to offer to a counterargument so people aren't actually convinced by your bullshit. The usual reason why people don't give out those big scary boss powers is that they're big scary boss powers. Meaning that by there very nature, they usually are considerably stronger than the rest of the setting they're from, and extremely difficult or impossible to offer in jumps, since they'd be a must buy unless the jumpmaker nerfed them into the ground or made them cost 3.5E41 cp. And even then, some jumps DO offer them with attached drawbacks (see Naruto and Devil Survivor 1/2 for examples). So, no anon, you're fucking wrong

>MOST SETTING DON'T FEATURE IT.
And the ones that do? So nice that you just happen to skim over anything that goes against your point. Why does Godhand in Fate only give you 1 life and not 9?
>>
>>47902258
Sages/Sorceresses age so slowly that it is a non issue, are capable of decimating sizable forces, and can open portals across great distances easily enough to toss Witchers on Geralt's level into a lake whenever they want. This is just what I can think of off the top of my head and there is a lot more. They get this free with their origin in that Magic perk you don't go into detail on.this origin costs 200

Witchers are mutated humans with minor magic that while useful in combat is trivial compared to what sorceresses can pull off. They also possess low superhuman physical abilities and senses. This still places the average Witcher far below an average Sorceress. This origin costs 300.

In your jump you take away Witchers physical boons and lock them behind the capstone, essentially making becoming a basic Witcher cost 600 and the origin has no capstone. You would still be a scrub next to a magic user unless they are Geralt tier, which they won't be and even Geralt is noted as being weaker than Triss, Yen, or Ciri.

New/Old Witchers aren't a thing in the Witcher series and it seems like you just did this to punish people who want to be Witchers. All Witchers with the sole exception of Ciri (who is only sort of a Witcher) have the boons that you locked behind a capstone.

>implying anyone has authority in this place
Keep dreaming. Are we going to start comparing namefags to high school student stereotypes again?
>>
>>47902404
But most jumps don't try to do that. It's why perk combos exist. Most jumps don't offer the BBEG's things because it would let you stomp over everything in setting, not because "what if they took it to another setting it would be so stronk".
Or else there would be a rule about powers not carrying over to the next jump. That would be the only real way to enforce that unwritten rule you keep talking about.
>>
>>47902415
There's perks themed after villains, but always ones who are on the same levels as the main heroes. To put it in DC terms, you get powers on the level of Joker and Lex Luthor, not Doomsday. There's certainly jumps that offer stronger and weaker shit than others, but perks always fall within a relative power limit. Offer things above it, and people won't stand for it. That's why Libriomancer had to be revised a half dozen times, and why nobody's touching The Gamer. They break the power level.
>>
>>47902458
We could whip out the MtG cards posted a few threads ago. Collect the whole set!
>>
>>47902456
Except the rest of the stuff you can get in Fate is absurdly powerful compared. Why, you could just pick up Vlad's thing that lets him take on entire servant teams for the same cost as Godhand. But the only justification for it seems to be the fact that other jumps only give 1 life. So no, try again moron.
>>
>>47902480
God, this. So much this. For all people are whining about it not being a thing, Libriomancer is such a perfect example of inter jump balance being a thing.

>>
>>47902440
>Why does Godhand in Fate only give you 1 life and not 9?
Yeah - if there's no inter-Jump balance. why are extra life perks always extremely expensive and once per Jump? You can get them easily in various video game settings.
>>
>>47902480
Could you please define that power limit?
>>

You probably outpower most of the protagonists. Just don't get involved in the war and you're in a typical low fantasy medieval setting.
>>
>>47902541
But it's not infinite lives and you can get that many lives across the various purchases in jumps anyway so it's not chain balance at all otherwise we'd remove all extra life perks. So no, that's not good enough, try again.
>>
>>47902527
Because the initial Endjump (DBZ) is known for being Cosmic, which means all regular jumps ultimately fall under the purview of Non-Superhuman to Planetary+.

Marvel and DC being pure street level does bother me, and I do feel like they'd offer a lot more if made today, but that's never gonna change and nor do I think it should.

>>47902573
Your choices between sides are mainly, assuming you hit 1:

>Caim and his murder crew. They don't need your help.
>The evil empire trying to end the world who are driven mad by evil magic.

None of them want or need your help, and you shouldn't offer. If you want to help small villages, only come around after battles.
>>
>>47902527
If you're talking about Marvel and DC, that's because they were unfortunately made early in jc, when there was a general lower powerlevel. And to be perfectly honest, the DC jump is horribly balanced, simply because it has a Green Lantern Ring up for 1000 cp. While you're capped at Kilowog level, Kilowog is still ridiculously strong (like top 5-7 lanterns), to the point that the Lantern Ring blows everything else on sale completely out of the water and puts you on par with that 'cosmic level' you're talking about.
CCDT has also given permission for other jumps in the DC comicsverse, so a higher powered jump in the setting could easily be made
>>
>>47902410
>your side
I don't know what you think, but I'm ambivalent about the 'interjump balance' issue.
I'm more concerned about trolls falseflagging in the thread.

As for the balance issue, I do think that jumps should be balanced internally, without overmuch consideration for the other jumps. Some settings are simply of a higher level than others, and trying to equalize, say… the Fate/ jumps with Generic Cooking Show is going to lead to us all having a Bad Time.
On the other hand, I don't think high power jumps should always just hand out the highest power shit in the setting.

The DC jump is a great example of actually finding that perfect ground: it gives fairly tremendous power without flat out making you Superman or Doomsday, or God or whatever. I think it coulda gone a liiiitle higher, but whatever.

Also, no idea who this fella >>47902435 is, he might actually be a shitposter or even Scatovore itself.

Just because the high level stuff gets more 'screen time' doesn't make the fact that there are probably a fuckton of 'street level' supers out there.

The Big Guys for you just hog the limelight.

Isn't the Marvel Universe canonically full of literally millions of street level superpowered people? They have stories too, and isn't that what this is all about? Stories? Adventure?

Yeah, no. DC offers you a lantern ring that potentially puts you above 90% of the entire universe without any real drawbacks. You do need a bunch of perks to make it work, but there's no real thought or effort on the Jumper's end beyond stacking some really common stuff. On the other hand, we have some actually really fun and varied street tier powers that get fucked by being in a setting notorious for power level wankery, even once you get away from the local super-gods.

It's the eternal escalation that's interesting, not the characters themselves.
Superman is usually a Big Dumb Ox with a Heart of Gold.
You literally can't get more bland than that if you tried. He's the naan of superheros. His internal conflict, the 'World of Cardboard' problem is interesting, but that's about it.
Actions and conflict make characters interesting, not the power they have.

The same thing happened to Worm: it started out street level, surviving by the skins of their teeth, and then it started escalating. It quickly hit that point where the only way out was to keep going up, and I think that story and characters really suffer for that.

But this is all just one anon's opinion.

If you want to throw bodies at something you can get 40 fully equipped Imperial guards as companions, they get really exited when ever I tell them that they are going up against ordinary enemy soldiers. One of them cried tears of joy when I told them to bum rush a bunch of fallout raiders rather than what they were used to fighting. . .

Resident Evil jump

Did you either

>1) Design a virus/parasite that creates an army of mutant abominations to conquer your enemies/world?

>2) Create an equivalent of Captain America's super soldier serum without mutations or zombification?

>3) Other?

>Follow up: How have you used it in following jumps?

I basically made a superhuman creating virus that gives what I guess some of you call "street level" powers. Since this jump I inoculate my companions with it to give them a boost and occasionally ordinary people. It's interesting to see what certain people do with their new found abilities and if they become heroes or villains.

I'm full of contradictions, anon.
I do want great power, but I also want to be able to relate with the common man, or common super. The two are inherently opposite each other, and I don't know what to do about it.

Being a God quickly bores me, but lacking the power necessary to do what I want is frustrating.

My mind is splitting in two, the willpower perks, they do nothing!
>>
>>47903133
That's fine. It's a perfectly reasonable stance which many people both here and elsewhere share.

But even as a normal person, who's got to pay bills and whose heart skips a beat every time a rich drunk idiot speeds by, I find it easier to relate to the inner turmoil the invincible super-gods sometimes face.

Maybe it's just the kind of person I am, but having to deal with the types of injury you mentioned is just... goofy, I'd say, while it's easy for me to get past the "I can literally relax inside a star" part of Soups and get to the "Holding himself tight for the sake of others" bit.

Upon arival, I find myself surrounded by angry people and for some reason a clown. Soon everyone has had the stuffing beaten out of them, Ruari has had a soul buffet and I've had some blood, memories, and magic. After leaving I seek out Medusa whom the memories show needs to go down. Sadly, she gets away through some unknown means. Having failed to derail the plot completely, I focus on staying out of the way while fighting clowns and hunting down those that will never be missed written down on my little list. This allows me to keep feeding dark souls to Ruari who is very nearly a Vasto Lorde at this point. Soon, we'll be using that sweet macguffin from Bleach to make her into an arrancar, whenever we get around to it in a century or two. Eventually it's time to continue on, this world was a blood bath but I stayed out of trouble for the most part.

Besides Prototype, Are there any jumps where I can get decent power-copying perks; I'd like the best, but I'm mainly interested in being able to acquire "cantrip-like" abilities like dark-vision and integrate them into my being instead of purchasing dozens of little odds and ends. It'd also be better if can at least do the same for mid-tier powers and traits, because I'm not exactly enthused to spend 400-800cp on cantrips. Not just for biological abilities of this description, but also supernatural. I'm open to multiple suggestions, so while a single perk would be ideal, combos work too.

Harry Potter magic doesn't draw on any pool of magical energy from its caster, right? So would there be any downsides to me using Dark Wisdom from Overlord to convert all of my strongest spells into the HP magic system so I can cast them non-stop without getting tired?
>>
>>47904487
Extended casting has been shown to leave the user tired, HP magic is just very efficient in how it uses the energy, presumably.
>>
>>47904487
HP magic does have some inexplicable arbitrary restrictions though, for example being able to create matter from nothing - unless it's food, and then you can't.

>Miss Fortune (500, Sailor Senshi)
Skewing the odds in my favor is what I do. >>47904827
Anime continuity. I'm going to use Clairvoyance, which has had seven jumps to be fully realized, to find the time and place for it to most likely succeed, and talk to her while the Orgel plays. The bonus of this is that she's under the influence of Chaos, which means the Orgel will free her. Galaxia doesn't have to die, and thus I can use her to help strike against Chaos. Sure, she won't necessarily have an instant moment of redemption because someone took a shot for her, but who needs that? She doesn't get to take the easy road. She will have to WORK to atone for her sins.
>>
>>47904592
Yes, but it says interesting things about a magic system that _arbitrarily_ calls some things food and won't let you conjure them (seemingly) ex nihilo while it calls other things not-food and will let you, even though both the food and the not-food in question are safe and even nutritious for human consumption, yet it will allow you to _duplicate_ food even though the matter and energy of the conjured half of the doubled item are also (seemingly) ex nihilo.

Figure that one out, and you'll probably get all the Order Of Merlins there are.
>>
>>47904920
You know, I was typing up a long winded explanation of that and I realized I was contradicting myself in two places. Therefore there are two possibilities.

One, the universe is arbitrary and consistency is not guaranteed.

Two, magic is directed by an intelligence. The nature of that intelligence (whether one outside the universe, within the collective unconscious, or magic itself being a self-aware entity (or something preprogrammed into it by whatever makes magic function in the first place)) is irrelevant, but the influence exerted upon magic by the intelligence(s) are responsible for such seemingly arbitrary functions.

JK Rowling is a hack who doesn't think her decisions through. The kids should have stolen fruit, enlarged it, and turned a giant peach into a home.
>>
>>47904827
How does the jump expect you to deal with all the shit in Sailor Moon anyways? Just looking at what the jump gives you it seems relatively low powered compared to series like Naruto, but apparently there are planet to universe destroying villains, and that sailor moon herself is fucking ridiculous as well.
>>
>>47905019
The heroes take care of everything themselves I guess. Toriko only gives you starting character power, as well as not really giving much indication to the levels of power the series gets to, and it still has planet busting foes at the end, it's not that uncommon.

I guess maybe it's just more surprising because you don't expect a show like SM to get to DBZ tier shit?
>>
>>47903471
have the Dive clothing be one item and import it as your body somewhere like forgotten realms for awakened animated item, or go ghost in undertail and import it as your body, then get something like this in fact my final form so you can still access its abilities.
>>
>>47905019
It's not the best jump, has a lot of flaws really. It seems to be mostly based on the first season of the anime with a few stuff from the other early anime seasons and it's very sparse feeling at that too (Not even getting into how meh being forced into a single choice of Sailor scout is). That said, having stuff on the level of the later series would probably mean it had to be put to endjump territory cause it gets crazy strong eventually.
>>
>>47905052
>>47905041
I get that, but nothing in the jump so much as implies that your power has any potential to grow at all. It honestly should include things from later in the series, with maybe an endjump portion delineating the point at which shit becomes universal.
>>
>>47905078
It'd be nice, but I doubt anyone wants to do all the work of overhauling everything that's wrong with it, especially not the maker.
>>
>>47905019
This is where stacking luck perks really comes in useful. The universe-breaking shit becomes a lot more likely to be butterflied away. The future evil villain slips on a banana and breaks their leg/neck, thus never picking up the maguffin that would've allowed them to take over the kingdom/planet.
>>
>>47905019
Wait, let me get this straight. Having the option to become a genre-savvy Sailor Senshi is low powered?

But aside from that, it seems really clear that the Jump will have you relying on you out-of-jump powers and capabilities if you don't want to be a Senshi.

I just have problem with the fact that I have to be a Senshi in order to get the Eris Fortress and Planetary Crystal when it's clear in Earth's Prince that that isn't the case.
>>

>Dying
>In a pacifist Undertale run

It's like Touhou on easy mode though
>>
So, Jumpchain! I've got a question about how two settings would interact--for the purposes of Mistborn Feruchemy, what in the world would Hellbrass from Warhammer do?
>>
>>47905423
Pacifist rout will end your chain by soul loss if you aren't in your warehouse at the climax of the story.
>>
>>47905464
But I have determination!
>>
>>47905442
Pull your soul into it?
>>
>>47905475
That won't help you when that goat kid rips everyone's souls out to smash through the barrier, gives the souls back but you would already have been sent home by then.
>>
>>47905423
Doot for magical girl theme song? Accepted.

>>47905464
That's stupid and everyone gets restored after the final boss, so I'm pretty sure an exception would be made for that specific circumstance.

If you get too much you melt and die.
>>
>>47905497
>>47905496
....
You realize Napstablook avoided it literally by just hiding in his house right
It's not that difficult, monsters are just dumbasses.
>>
>>47905520
Go the fuck to sleep, you're just being stupid on purpose.
>>
>>47905497
An exception wasn't made for being turned to stone in Teen Titans, even though everyone got fixed from that.
>>
>>47905550
>>47905497
The jump maker is right here >>47905522 so ask instead of arguing you fucktards.
>>
>>47905052
Forgive me my Ignorance here I am not a huge sailor moon fan. However It seems that you start at about the level of a starting scout and I would assume as you hang out with the scouts you would get upgraded to their level as well. Is there some reason why this is not so? The only problem I see is that you can't die and be revived like the scouts do in almost every season.
>>
>>47905555
I was actually bringing up something that annoys me from teen titans, not Undertale.

Of course you can avoid it in Teen Titans by going to space, the warehouse, or maybe being near Raven when it happens/
>>
>>47905575
Fuck canon. Equip a Ribbon, take any of a dozen perks to be immune to petrification, stand there like a boss when it happens and go kill Trigon.

Sure, he's technically unkillable because he's a major demon. So what? Kill him anyway. You're a fucking jumper. YOU figure it out.

Or hell, just give Raven some therapy.
>>
>>47905464
I actually plan on taking Frisks role in Undertale. I can daisy chain invulnerability stuff, have an extra life and intend to cast a spell on my friends once I have gotten them to remember me to grant them a level of autonomy when their souls are absorbed so they can nab the souls while I am fighting Flowey. Well... that or just give Flowey a human form early on so he will have a soul and not be a bastard. However something about that just seems a lot less epic.
>>
>>47905619
Flowy has SAVE before frisk falls though.
>>
Why not just smash the barrier with jumper BS and leave the underground?
>>
>>47905635
Not if you out Willpower him. You can block him. Well before he goes god of hyperdeath, After that if he resets the time line my abilities reset so I can stalemate him. This would be much easier if I could figure out how to survive the Unable to let go drawback but I haven't figured it out yet... it requires a bunch of perks from places I don't know well enough to take.
>>
>>47905655
Digger says that you can block him but I don't get how that works, you cannot get the SAVE power and Flowy has it until someone else takes it from him.
>>
>>47905653
Why not simply seduce Flowey?
>>
>>47905676
Flowy has no soul.
>>
>>47905676
Anon why would you ever want to seduce a plant?
>>
>>47905522
hey digger I've got a list of things i'm thinking of plugging into A driver, which of them are bad ideas?
1. The red Hook from darkest dungeon
2.The Eye of Set from generic sword and sorcery
3.the Space Stone,Power Stone and Mind Stone from Marvel cinematic
4. The mother box from DC
5. A miniaturized universal adapter from storm Hawks set to pump out spiral energy hooked up to a miniaturized power receiver from supreme commander powered by 40 paragon resource generators.
5.the chains of Hashut
6.a Unicorn Horn from ax cop.
7. the Orgel of Origins
8.a Planeteer power ring.
9.Octiron.
10.the steel flesh of Ormagöden from brutal Legend
11.a miniaturized laughter canister, from monsters Inc.
12.Crystallized light or/ and Nothingness from Kingdom hearts
>>
>>47905684
Neither did my ex.
>>
>>47905684
>A Heart To Call My Own from Kingdom Hearts

You can GIVE him a soul, anon! Just keep him from killing you long enough to do whatever the prereqs for the perk are.
>>
>>47905686
Don't ask me, they're the ones shrieking in terror because for whatever reason they refuse to hang with Napstablook when the time comes. So whatever it takes, ja?
>>
>>47905673
Well the reason you can't get save is because the rules of Jumpchain over rule the rules of the underground. Technically you should be able to but if you die you lose so you never get a chance to reset.
Also never having died you may not be able to see the points where you can save the game. I don't think those are viable to others. *Spoiler* Frisk is the reincarnation of Chara which is why s/he can do it *Spoiler end* and Flowey is really an sort of like a possessed flower stuck existing do to excessive willpower.
>>
>>47905597
That'd be a rep and a half, wouldn't it.

>Walk into DC supervillain bar.
>Whole bar goes silent.
>Whisper #1: who's that?
>Whisper #2: Trigon's killer.
>Whisper #1: I suddenly remembered, I left the stove on.
>Darkseid sneaks out the side entrance.
>>
Does anyone have a copy of generic dungeon builder?
>>
Are there any perks that would let me get intoxicated even if I have complete immunity from all poisons?
>>
>>47905597
How powerful is TT Trigon, exactly? Could you take him out just with a lot of powerful abilities or would you need a specific combo or something?
>>
>>47905824
He is reality warper tier but most of the time when he tries to kill someone he does it by petrifying them or transmogrifying them. He's just a really big demon that feeds on fear at his core.

Can Prime and Fate magic in Mage the Awakening be used to trigger an item imbued with a spell when a condition is met?
>>
What is the difference between Super Boomer and Hyper Boomer in Bubblegum Crisis?
>>
>>47906119
The first word is different.
>>
>>47906126
Yes, thank you that is very helpful.

I am asking because the jump lists Hyper Boomer as a requirement for some things but only Super Boomer is available.
>>
>>47906119
If I remember correctly, the Hyper Boomer was connected directly to the kill sat that happened to chill above MegaTokyo and that's about it. Otherwise it's another Super Boomer.
>>
>>47906138
I think it must be a typo. Since there's no option to buy Hyper Boomer, it should be Super Boomer.
>>
>>47905809
Technically any power/perk-limiter would be able to suppress the immunities?
Otherwise if it's inherent in your biology, just freakin' transfer to a less supreme meatbody that can get lit.
>>
How does the Sajuuk from Homeworld jump compare to the Light of Terra?
>>
>>47906119

They are essentially the same, both are experimental boomers. The original Super Boomer came first (had the black box installed that would have granted control to ALL of USSD's satellites) and was the brainchild of Brian J. Mason.

The Hyper Boomer series was due to Mas- err, Largo (who I believe was himself classified as a Super Boomer). As far as I can recall, the Hyper Boomers are basically Super Boomers built by a company Largo controlled that were specifically designed to deal with the Knight Sabers.
