That's because for heavier units designs changed more drastically and the scale difference is more evident. Compare old Zero to new Zero and then old and new Mobile Brigada.

However I'd also argue that anything with a face visible aged worse than those.

Some old faces aged pretty well.

I chose Zero because there's one in the old starter.

Doctor skill lets you do a heal on the doctors WP of 12.

I just want to play Space Apes with Guns.
>>
>>47796943
Eh, for me, it comes down to the fact that by the time I quit 40k, my Eldar and Deldar armies were both... what, probably about $400-600 each, if judged cheaply? I don't even need to drop $150 in order to acquire a 300 pt army for Infinity.
>>
>>47797019
Space apes are good cause we don't have a lot of crossover with other CA sectorials. Space ape layers also seem to buy less stuff.
Though I could just be talking out my ass, I have 4 armies.
>>
so im completely new to miniatures
Im going to take the plunge tomorrow and buy a single model to get used to the assembly and see if my paintings improved since 4th grade it hasnt

I have no supplies whatsoever required for this. So far my list is:
Superglue
Metal file
brush set
paints (+ medium and a wash?)

Missing anything/ any recommendations, favorite brands, etc.? are there paint sets that i can/should buy or go individual?

Any helps appreciated, thanks.
>>
>>47798248
I tell people these days just buy a airbrush, but it's like a extra $300 and you still gotta get brushes sooo...maybe not.

Try to make sure you're getting good paints like Vallejo Air.
>>
>>47798248
Craft knife and clippers are a must imo. Always found scraping with a knife working better than a file, but YMMV and file can sometimes go to places knife can't. Also some putty (greenstuff, milliputty etc.) and basing materials and a putty tool.

Remember to buy primer. Buy a single good brush before a dozen of shitty ones, a good big one with good point works more accurately than a small with forking point and can hold more paint.

Washes are fine if you just want to get some minis to tabletop quality and don't aspire to become pro, but I'd personally practice more traditional layering before opting to shortcuts.

Buy only some basic colors in addition to the color scheme you've chosen, that way you don't have to buy too many bottles to gather dust and still have option to mix the shade you're looking for.
>>
>>47798355
>>47798417
I personally use Vallejo Model Color, but most proper acrylic paint brands for miniatures should work. GW paints are pretty expensive for what you get, though.
>>
>>47798355
Any brand of airbrush you'd recommend? I'm thinking about getting one soon. Different guy btw.
>>
>>47798891
Depends what you want to do. I'm personally happy with my Badger Patriot 105 and it wasn't too expensive, but I mostly paint terrain and prime models with it. Can do some simple base colors, zenithal highlighting etc. but wouldn't even try some of the fancier effects possible with airbrush, as I feel it isn't accurate enough.

Giraldez uses Harder&Steenbeck, infact has a profile in their site:
http://www.harder-airbrush.eu/en/angel-giraldez.html

The question is, do you have a $100 or $300 to spend on brush alone, another $100 for a good air compressor.

Not the same anon but I endorse Badger Sotar 20/20 pretty inexpensive for a good detail airbrush that is easy to get spare parts for of you bend the needle.
I don't know how commpn this problem is but coming from Europe I had to buy an adapter for my brush to connect to the air hose to the compressor.
But performance wise I adore it. I got it for 100 bucks from amazon. They usually have some good deals on Badger stuff a few times a year.
>>
>>47798219
>buy rodoks
>"Ah phooey, I don't want to buy another box to get 5th one"
>"Hmm, Onyx can field Rodoks and even mix them with Umbras. The Starter looks cool..."
>"Oh, and Suryats too, I have that HMG model already. With those, CA starter and the remotes I already have I could play a decent 300 points Onyx force."

The Mexicans will find a way.
>>
>>47799112
Oh yeah, spare parts is definitely a strong side of Badger.
>>
>>47799091
>>47799112
Definitely going for cheaper model to start, to see if I even like it first. Eventually I'd like to do the fancier effects but honestly I"m not even sure what most of those are. All I really know is that I like the "airbushed" look.

Going off these suggestions Badger definitely sounds like a good place to start looking. The 20/20 sounds more like what I'm after since I'd like to be able to do detail work with it,
>>
>>47798891
For a beginner I would just get a cheap Master Airbrush for like 30 bucks or a cheap Iwata for 70.
It's more about the compressor. I got this one which is cheap, and comes with a tank and regulator. Depending on the brush it may need a attachment, but it fit my Iwata no problem.

I picked my starting faction (PanO NCA) based on what was left over in a miniatures market sale and I love it.

But since I have some Aleph crossover in NCA, I've toyed with the idea of expanding my collection to include some more Aleph... and I really do dig that Penthesilea Bootleg model... :-D

Hey guys does anyone have these comics? They're hilarious!
>>
>>47801171
I made them, so I have them all.
I will throw them all into an imgur if you can wait a minute or two.

I should be working on a separate site for them when I figure how much does it cost to have it not run on tumblr. I dislike what tumblr dash does to them.
>>
So, have a friend coming up and then a few others coming over, and I figured I'd try to hook the bastards in with some demo games of Infinity. Toying around with a couple of lists that come from one friend's old and unused MO starter that I'll be gleaning from him to resell to another along with my own minis. Toying around with a bunch of different little 120 point lists for starters, partially just for the chance to see the various shit that can come up. So an AD-heavy ASA list, a retarded but fun 4-man Domaru list, a hodge-podge Kazak list, another that's more dog-centic, a 3-man Fiday list with a trio of Mutts, etc. Anything in particular that you would want to toss at new players just for fun?
>>
>>47801209
I love them, I believe I have them all saved. Might have missed one or two. URL usually cost around 6usd a year, then there's hosting fees, which you can be hosted for free usually, so around 6$ a year. I'm from Australia so it's 10AUD per year.

That sounds like an awsome idea, dude. Some thoughts I had would be to have a 1v1 between two very high point units, like a couple tags, or a cloaked sniper duel. It's my opinion the most exciting bits of unity is having youre one dude be the hero of the turn.

There we go. I need to redo and reformat some of them. Especially the first two ones.

Ads aren't a problem, I use adblocker and I'd expect anyone else to do that too. Especially with how some of those ads kill bandwith. I was thinking it'd be nice to have a patreon running, but I don't want to launch one without providing some sort of "service" in return – like a semi-regular webcomic.

However it seems a paid service is the only way to format a site exactly as I'd want it to. I've tried that free version of wordpress and it's too limited for my linking.
>>
>>47801366

Why not try to get in contact with CB themselves and see if they put the comics on their webpage?
>>
>>47801366

And if you do ever decide to make a patreon I would be happy to donate (with what meager income I have left after bills and pewter crack)
>>
>>47801270
Yeah, that's more or less what I was thinking. You can really, really hone in the theme of a list when you're only at 125 points or so, and without fussing with ITS bullshit, you can have a little more fun.

>4 Minelayer Chasseurs, a cheap Metro Lt, and a trio of the Inferior Infiltration Metros
Versus
>A pair of Dog-Warriors with a 5 man Line Kazak link team* backing them up.

>4 man Domaru squad, including Neko
versus
>4 man Magister Knight squad, supported by a crazed Teuton

We actually did a couple of tries at what we called the Monster Rumble. It was basically just a TAG fight, set at around 95 or so. The major issue was always just finding a good balance, especially for people who either didn't have the heavy TAGs or didn't have TAGs at all. We toyed around with letting people running the lighter tags like Tikbalangs bringing 1 extra order. Would normally do them 4-man Free For Alls, with each person deploying in one of the corners.

*I mean, everyone knows that Line Kazaks will end up Fireteam Core, so in tiny games like this where the parts of the Sectorial that are actually unknown aren't present, I see no reason not to just make a little linkteam.
>>

>>
>>47801571
Putting Greeks in ASA was a terrible idea. ALEPH has already been taken over by the wannabe recreations and now the disease is even spreading to other factions.

Nagas can stay. They at least have a decent fluff excuse.

RIP Caskuda, you were too pure for this world. N2 had some really great ideas that it's a real shame to see gone. The Caskuda's AD actually being a Shock blast template, Braces on the Maggy, and a Vet Kazak Doctor. Though in the last case, I'm definitely plenty happy with what they turned Vet Kazaks into, even if we lost a WIP 14 Doctor.

I just get so annoyed when people yammer on about the fact that Braces needed to go because CB don't want vehicles. Just, what? We've already got motorcycles and having an Ork Wartruck rule for the Maggy was great and added some utility to a TAG that we haven't otherwise seen.

I would be really interested if CB is ever going to revisit something like the Caskuda. If not with a damaging AD template, even just something like a Smoke one would be pretty fucking rad.

How should I construct my link teams? I am trying to use some grunts to form a 5 man link team to be a defensive team and hold some ground.

I was thinking 2 sniper, 1 HMG, and one rifle. Goal wth these guys is to spread out as much as possible and provide AROs for the rear line. Other units in their combat group will be doing the ramboing with maybe a shot or two from the HMG.

Is this too many special weapons? Am I consolidating my snipers too much? Should I go one special weapon the rest rifles?

Vallejo all the way. The paint looks better stays alive longer and has nice dropper bottles for easy application to an airbrush.

Only 3.5 SWC is a bad thing, especially when 2 comes from Scarface. Switch out the Druze Linkteam with a Kaplan Link, try to get more Ranged weapons in there, and switch out the Alguacil Paramedic for a Ghulam Doc + Nasmat, it's only a few points more but soo much better and also the Mobile Brigada, I know they're cool but you already have Scarface.
Try to get at least one Yuan Yuan in the main Combat Group, they don't take to fare well with a small order pool. Maybe keep the troops in your second pool as reserve for when someone dies. This may or may not shrink your Order Pool a little but that shouldnt be much of and also helps you learn to use your orders wisely and get the best out of it.

Sup, /tg/. Would-be aleph player here. How good are the Hero Characters in this game? Achilles and the like have my eyes, but a lot of games make you just plain fucking lose if you don't have enough guys to back up the heroes, and heroes that are statistically impressive tend to be too expensive to get same.

For the same reason that Steel Phalanx annoys me, you'll be happy to hear that you can field an almost entire force out of named characters in that sectorial. That being said, I suppose it makes more sense in Infinity than anywhere else, since all of the characters in ALEPH are little more than AI fragments.

With grunts it's fine, lots of armies that only have MULTI Snipers couldn't really get away with it, but it's one thing that Ariadna and Haqqislam can pull off, the sniper heavy defensive link, and it's pretty neat.

Hell I fielded this list just recently and it did pretty well.

They're a well rounded vanilla flavor HI. Solid stats and loadouts, but nothing about them is shiny or sticks out.
>>
>>47811284

The Characters (and TAGs) are really good and can be very dominant forces on the table, but they will get crit eventually, or hit with templates and fail their arm, etc. you will lose them, and that will leave you with an uphill battle.

It's also harder to play small elite armies because crits will undo your plans and you need backups but your backup can't just be "I've got 2 more of those guys".

I've won tournaments with Steel Phalanx though, they are perfectly good and can be very frustrating to play against.
>>
>>47811420
they are fairly durable and fairly accurate, but their bs is far less special to pano than other factions, and for not too much more points you have a lot of other hi options that are far better at what you want them to do than orcs.

they arent bad, theyre just solid in a faction with a lot of great options

orcs are probably going to see a bit more playtime now that they're available in nca and asa with duo and haris fire team options.

I was doing some reading, though, and I thought that it was super important to have a large number of dudes for orders? Or do characters and TAGS often have something to make up for that? If I can just fart a Homeric Odyssey onto the table and call it good, I'd love it.
>>
>>47811666
>I thought that it was super important to have a large number of dudes for orders? Or do characters and TAGS often have something to make up for that?

It is, kinda.

Basically at 300 points, don't even think about taking less than 10 models, you want at least one full combat group, but then, adding more and more orders won't let that first 10 play any better, anything new goes in a new group and their orders are pooled separately, and the really expensive stuff can still prove extremely difficult for cheap guys to eliminate.

There's nothing that lets the big expensive stuff get around the fact that they need order fuel from cheaper things, and playing with a smaller order pool forces you to be more efficient, because you still need to achieve the same number of tasks to complete the mission objectives, so to really be able to do it, you need to be able to set up strongly in your reactive turn and really force your opponent to waste his own orders.

You won't be able to just put down characters with steel phalanx, you will need their 16 point Chain Rifle Myrmidons, their 12 point SMG Thorakites, and their 4 point Netrods to bulk out your order pool, but these things (other than the rods) can link up with your characters to make them more powerful, so it's not all bad news.

But it's do-able to field at least 4-5 characters, and you can succeed while doing it, it just plays very differently and is more prone to being luck-cucked
>>

They absolutely don't need to have names, just be a shitkicker. My favourite model in Age of Sigmar is an Elven Prince on a Dragon. my favourite in Dropzone Commander is the Hades, and my favourite in Malifaux is the Rail Golem, none of which have names and all of which are imposing and force the opponent to remake their plans around them.

It kinda depends on your army and list. I wouldn't ever recommend a 300 point list that doesn't have at least 10. For ALEPH, you'll certainly have fewer than something like USAriadna, though. You can certainly run a lot of characters with Steel Phalanx -- honestly, that's where it shines given your special link teams -- but you're going to need some stuff to help pad it out. ALEPH gets these great things called netrods which are basically just 4 point cheerleaders that do absolutely nothing other than help Achilles or Ajax kill more dudes. One thing that you'll also like as ALEPH are your special link teams. With Enomotarchos, you can potentially have much about all of your units in order-efficient link teams, provided you bring along enough special characters to allow the generic units to make them.

Our best Steel Phalanx player at the club tends to run around 12 or so models, from the best I can tell. Something a few more, but that seems to be their comfort zone. Not really that different from my Kazaks, as I tend to run 14 with my primary forces in one combat group, while the second is a pair of Chechan volunteers with chain rifles, a FO Scout, and typically something to dump those orders into. Parachutist Spetsnaz, Dog-Warrior, etc.

>>
>>47817989
>grayscale? I am not familiar with that process
Broadly speaking, it involves giving the figure a black undercoat, and then spraying white/paler paint onto it from above.

Effectively, it means when you paint it later, the recessed and downwards facing areas will be innately darker, because the 'undercoat' will have been little affected by the white spray. Whereas the exposed areas, where one would typically apply a slightly lighter shade, will naturally appear a little lighter because the white paint mostly covered the black in those areas.

Effectively, it's a way of getting slightly lighter/brighter colours on the raised areas, and slightly darker ones in the recesses/undersides. Which is what you aim for anyway, but this way makes zenithal lighting easier because the undercoat colours match it.

>>
I was going through the files for the RPG and I couldn't find the actual rules for playing the game, only those pertaining to character creation

Have they released those yet? I'm kinda lost on what "expertise" "focus" and "momentum" mean
>>
>>47818351
Those are in the Introduction chapter.
>>
>>47818351

Yeah, they're released. If you can't find them anywhere else, check the quick start rules on the website.

In essence, it's a slightly adjusted version of their 2D20 system.

Every skill check involves rolling 2D20. Your target number is your stat + skill. So if you have a coordination of 8, and a Ballistics of 2, then your total target number for shooting is 10. Roll 10 or under to score a success. Focus is your crit range. Starting at 1. So if you had a focus of 3, rolling a 1, 2, 3, or 4, would be a crit. A crit counts as an extra success on top of the one you get for getting under your target number.

Every check has a base difficulty. Typically it's 1, but it can be 2-4 for increasingly hard checks, or 0 for quite easy checks. You need to succeed a number of times equal to the difficulty to basically succeed at what you're trying to do. Further successes convert into momentum. This momentum can be converted into further effects. This might mean you take less time, or get extra effects from your attempt, deal more damage, affect another target, etc.

Sometimes it's just a straight check against a static difficulty, other times, like combat, you effectively roll off against the target, and whoever gets more successes wins.
>>
>>47818351
As far as I know, only sorta. I don't think any gear has been released. However, Expertise and Focus I can help you on. So your Expertise is basically your skill rating. You add that to your Attribute to figure out your Target number. Focus, meanwhile, acts as a sort of Crit range. So let's say my Corregidor space pirate has 10 Coordinate and 5 Expertise in Pilot. That means when I roll 2d20, I get a success on a 15 or better, just like making a check in the war-game, except I get two dice to try. Now, this pilot happens to have 2 Focus in Pilot, so if either of those dice come up as either a 1 or a 2, I not only get a success from that die but also a bonus success.

Momentum is basically just the Advantage system from Edge of the Empire, tweaked a bit. Any extra success that you didn't need for the check's difficulty roll over into Momentum, which just lets you get some nice little bonuses.
>>
Example: I'm shooting at some guy. He has an agility of 8, and an acrobatics of 2. So he needs 10s to get a hit on a dodge check. I have a coordination of 12, and a ballistics of 3. So I need 15s to get a hit on a shooting check. Lets say I also have focus 3 on ballistics.

So, we both roll. He rolls a 5 and a 15. So only one was under his target number of 10, so he gets one success.

I roll a 2, and a 12. The 12 was under the target number, so that's a success, and the 2 was under both my focus, and my target number, so that counts as TWO successes. So I have 3 successes total, he has 1. So his success cancels out ONE of my successes, leaving me with 2 left. This means I have 2 momentum. I'll spend those two points by reducing his armour by 2, and increasing my own damage by 1.

This was a face to face check. If it was a straight check, then rather than the GM rolling, he would just cancel out a number of success equal to the check difficulty. 1 is standard. 2-3 is very hard. 4 is almost impossible.

You can gain extra dice by spending HEAT. This gives the GM heat points to use. He can trade them in for NPC activations, reactions, nasty environmental effects, etc. You can also spend Infinity points to give your check another dice, that automatically crits. Sometimes you can spend resources like Reload points, which give you more dice, and better damage, on Ballistics checks.

Many of the Talents in the game affect these rules one way or another. Typically the introduction talent to a given tree will let you reroll a dice in a given sort of check. Other ones might let you gain TWO dice for each point of heat you spend, or reduce the heat cost for a parry/dodge action. Others might reduce the momentum cost for certain actions.

Forward deployment ain't bad, though. V2 Achilles seems like he was designed to get up in the enemy's face more than V1, since he starts further up the board and mimetism can't be deactivated by some random asshole with a flamethrower.

V1 is generally more useful, though. Achilles is good enough at shooting that using him with anything other than a spitfire at mid range is a waste.

Basically, we use fucktons of terrain, between buildings and natural features, then clogged with scatter terrain. Something where sniper spots are valuable, but not the end-all-be-all. It puts a much bigger emphasis on your movement and choices in-game than "I brought a link team of snipers and plan on ending the game on T1." Not to say you can't get a Retreat on 51, I just did it two weeks ago, but you have to fucking claw that bastard out yourself.

Europeans tend to use a lot fewer buildings, so you might see eight or ten buildings on a full table.

>>47820794
Bullshit. It just means your sniper is one part of the equation, rather than locking down the entire board. If they're stupid enough to run out into its sights, shoot 'em. But you also need to be planning where that's going to funnel them in order to set up a good firelane there as well. My Kazak lists are pretty much focused around that sort of thinking. Snipers and Autocannons hold down open areas while also providing breaching doors from Autocannons, meanwhile my Vets and potential Spetsnaz with HMGs get themselves into good defensive placements for grouped Suppression, while on the active turn, one or more of them push forward, more or less in either bounding overwatch or Rambo charges. Also, potential suicidal charges from Dog-Warriors or Irmandrahos, or flanking action from Parachutist BSG Spetsnaz.
>>
Now now, everybody. Both your terrain styles are shit. Ideally there should be variance in terrain density across the board. Otherwise weapons with range bands that your table doesn't favour become garbage.

>Some basic, newbie friendly examples of the purpose behind greyscaling, and a slightly more detailed explanation of what I lightly touched on.
Might have been more accurate.

And grey scaling as anon mentioned is why it doesn't exactly require practise, at least to start with. If anything, Zenithal Highlights can be fairly complicated if you like. Many layers, etc. The black/white spray technique is something of a painting hack, from that PoV.

If you're really just starting out though, a colour/wash/colour/edge highlights is probably more than enough.

>>47821244
Viable, you mean. At least from the examples show. At the very least, an exposed midfield strongly incentivises sniper lists, TR bots, etc.

Ideally I'd say you have a built up middle, with more exposed flanks. Snipers are powerful on the flanks, and useful as point guards in the centre, but the board actually has a good spot for door kicking and close up stuff. Almost like the board has multiple routes, sort of thing. A close up crossing, an exposed crossing, and a midrange crossing.
>>
File: Dream Table.jpg (146KB, 960x720px)
Dream Table.jpg
146KB, 960x720px
An ideal board should have:
- 8-10 big buildings
- 10-12 low terrain
- some low visibility or saturation zones or difficult terrain
- at least one tall building in the middle to break sniper LoF
- enough empty spaces to place down a circular template, for AD troops or larger models to move around

Also it's good to place the buildings at an angle, thus breaking firelanes easier.

The one at BoW which they used for explaining some basic rules was pretty much that.

Sandpaper is too coarse to use on models. Use either a file or scrape them off with a craft knife.

>>47823904
Out of these three I only painted without its hands the Fusilier on the right. Only way I could paint the face properly. Usually I assemble the figure a whole before painting, but stuff like that are an exception. Otherwise I have too many small bits mixed on my painting table.

Depends on the sand paper, I have some that leaves less of a mark than files. You just have to get sandpaper made for fine metal polishing.

I think its just a great example of the problem with GWs. The centurions were a could have been should have been model. It is crippled by poor design choice. You can actually turn them into something great with a lot of work. However, they are monopose, ugly, and make no functional sense. Couple that with GW jacking up prices and shoving their rules down the toilet all while chanting we are a modeling company and it is no wonder no one liked that release.

Meanwhile you have many of the standard models in Infinity looking great. Pretty much dispelling the notion that GWs models are second to none. Really even if you don't like the themes, it is hard to look at Infinity's range and not be very impressed. It really is a great game for gamers and painters. The only real downside is the metal vs plastic part.
>>
>>47835052
Well, to me plastics one and only good side is price, and Citadel models have driven even that to ground.
>>
>>47835052
I'd rather pay an extra few dollars for metals. They feel better and don't melt in the car.

And I can always melt them down for bullets lol.
>>
>>47834009
Is there a batrep for this? You gotta kill the Avatar in the active turn, burn it, and throw enough dice at it for a crit.

I try to have a flamethrower in every army that can take one for this reason.
>>
>>47835344

Plastics are easier to modify, lighter, and less prone to chipping. You don't need to pin them either. A good plastic model is has all the benefits of Pewter and several extras.

The really is the main negative of Infinity models for me. They are hard to convert and top heavy. It is made a little worse is that a lot of their models are only one type. I was looking at a Caledonia the other day and what stopped me (besides having too much stuff already) is the difficulty in building an army I want. I don't want three dudes that all look the same with the same pose. And all the models are spread over a lot of boxes and its not like I can just buy a few basic troop sets and get mixes of guns and customize as I see fit. I am basically stuck with what exists. Its not a deal breaker, it just annoying.

GWs only redeeming quality is their story fluff, which they are working hard everyday to catapult into the ground. I am glad I switched away from them.

>>47835387
Where do you live that you plastic models are melting in the car? The sun?

Have you ever tried playing 2v2?

We did this today, it was interesting. ALEPH clearing the way for a Fusilier link to grab the objectives later on one side and Haqqislam blocking the way while Domaru rush for the kill on the other.

We did it with 1 HVT per side and 1 CO per player. Supply scenario. We alternated turns by going 1st player team 1, 1st player team 2, 2nd player team 1 and 2nd player team 2, with separate order pools for each player. Things that normally last for two turns lasted until the next turn of relevant player (so a blinded guy was blinded until it was his turn again).

200pts per player was a bit too much though.
>>
Currently attempting to glue the father knights ears on, the icesstorm version. Who's idea was it to have parts so tiny I could accidentally breathe them in, anyway?
>>
>>47836699
There was even official tournament format for that. Think they removed it for current season, might have been too unpopular and messed the ranking system.

Tried it out during N2, they even gave two alternative activation systems, one you described and one where one side have a turn back to back and then the other side have their turns.

There even was a possibility to play such a game with 400 points, bringing total point size to ridiculous 800 per side. We played something like 150-200 points per army, can't remember which.
>>
>>47838010
Personally never have had much trouble with antennas. Sometimes pliers and pinning are necessary, but not always.

Tourism is definitely a thing. There is even culinary guide for one of the Yu Jing planets in some of the books. I guess most of the travelling happens inside the faction borders, but at least the central planets have some sort of tourism. Ariadna is more limited and places like Svalarheima and Paradiso and Bourak are too cold or hot or alien infested for most people to just visit. But even Svalarheima has it own culinary specialties and I'd imagine Troll hunting is a sought after hobby for wealthy play boys.

What you need is a tourist group NPC in a scenario. It's a BS10 linkteam who move move every turn in a straight line along the center of the board. If they get an ARO chance they take a picture, and anyone showing illegal weaponry incurs a points penalty. Same goes for killing them. For the purposes of dodging, PH15. Monofilament CCWs, NBW.
>>
>>47855111
>PH15
Are they American tourists with so much bulk or Japanese tourist that all know karate?

A scenario in which you have to hide from civilians could be hilarious though.
>>
>>47855710
It could just be PH 9 with Hyperydynamics 2.

There was an awesome scenario I played back in V2, that had 2 small crowds of civilians in the centre of the board. Like a protest, and there was an agitator inside the crowd you needed to black bag. You had to discover which one it was, and then haul them out of there off the board. Or you could just start hauling people off and check when you reached the edge.

Thing is, on turn 2, the press turned up. You couldn't grab the civilians unless the press had blocked LOS, or had been hacked or killed. Killing the press, or using illegal stuff in view of them, increased your notoriety value, which was tracked separately in the tournament with some fairly fluffy differences for later scenarios.
>>
>>47855710
PH 15 to open up a gambler's option of using mines to disrupt their movement (penalty if you kill them of course). CC skill to stop you from blocking their path with a spider tank.
