Are corgis real?
>>
>>47691991
No.
>>
What are some good 'technique' or 'martial arts' copying perks? I want something like that before I head into Wuxia with Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting drawback.
>>
>>47692015
Ranma's Copycat Technique, it is one of the best.
>>
>>47692015
Legend of Zelda's Mimic as long as it's purely physical, I think.
>>
>>47691991
Are you the guy who said he was going to post a complicated question next thread? If so, 10/10.
>>
>>47692015
MedaBox's Technique Mimicry and DoA's Shared Heritages are good ones.
>>
>>47692015
If you can stand the edge, the basic Sharingan in Naruto is decent.

Make sure to pick up Adaptability in Wuxia itself too, that helps a lot.

So, as far as I found out, the best shrink/growth Ray is the one in Rick and Morty.

What stops you from taking/convincing Rick to make one for you instead of buying it for CP?

If you take Rick as companion, is it the Rickiest Rick? The main Rick who we follow through show? Having him as friend would be very useful.

In fact, a lot of item stuff you can mooch off Rick... Somehow
>>
>>47692134
Well, stuff you don't buy with CP doesn't have the Jump-chan guarantee. So maybe in other universes, it flat out doesn't work.

Okay, this is going to sound needlessly complicated and possible plain stupid but I really want it.

I want that each world I visit, retroactively receives the (hidden) knowledge of a dark ritual that would awaken a terrible primordial endbringer. That endbringer would be me, meaning that when one succesfully completes that ritual I would exponentially increase in power and insanity and my sole goal would be to bring utter and complete chaos to the world.

Like a forbidden fruit that must never be eaten, that compels me to punish that world.

Any idea how to create such a "chaos button"?
>>
>>47692180
Nope.

Currently listening to undertale BGM. This. lol.
>>
Are there any options for merging weapons? I don't mean like combining them but rather a way to have one item that can swap between being different weapons that have been merged together to make it.
>>
>>47692180
A ritual that sucks the souls of all who is near it except the caster use something like dnd or arcane from smite. Then use darkbinding, madness wavelength from smote, nge angel form to get max coverage. Maybe paint yourself in some neathy colors or that weird paint from lovecraft.

Real eat lord of bel so that it turns any humans you kill into minions. Every human you kill turns into a minion.

Destroy the world as your presence causes madness.
>>
>>47692345
RWBY is what you're looking for.
>>
>>47692156
In most cases, items you get from other jumps without using CP for them still work unless the jump says things won't work.

I think the stuff that wouldn't work from Rick and Morty is just the Portal Gun or other inter dimensional things

Anyway, time to get Huge
>>
>>47692208
No problem, anon. Thanks for trying.
>>47692354
I wouldn't do the ritual myself though. The idea is that I'm just enjoying my life, but anyone could trigger it using that forbidden ritual.

The idea came from this chant I heard in my dreams yesterday

THE JUMPER VISITS YOUR WORLD, HE WANDERS KIND AND FREE
LEST YOU RELEASE THE BEAST, THEN HELL WILL REIGN DOWN ON THEE
>>
What would be top power level in Rick and Morty in terms of powers or firepower or such, when compared to showmen stuff?

How would DIO fare off against Rick?

How about Goku?

I know that there are inventions capable of crazy things, but what characters are just about too powerful for Rick to be able to make a thing to defeat, at least without extensive research into the person?
>>
>>47692134
>If you take Rick as companion, is it the Rickiest Rick?

It's not the Rickest Rick. Says in one of the perks they get that they're not.
>>
>>47692521
Depends on whether or not he gets prep time and how drunk Rick is at the time.
>>
>>47692481
Dreams are great sources for magic.

I started going through a list of locations that I carry with me through purchases or can place in jumps, and there are a number of locations that were "always there" in one form or another. Most of them just suddenly appear with you, though. There's the countries from 1984 and Tropico, and Civilization has ruins, I think. Anon's Stage from Megaman Classic has a copy of itself be in every world you go to, so maybe it's some booby-trapped ancient ruins with an inscription and instructions. Not sure whether or not it retroactively places itself, though.

The ritual itself is on you, though.
>>
>>47692521
Is this whole Rick thing not just a meme? He's a genius inventor yeah, but he's got plenty of plot armor.
>>
>>47692521
friendly reminder that Rick drove the devil to suicide by hacking his magic with science, and has shown to be able to simulate the effects of DIO's stand technologically, as for Goku he travels back in time and diverts his rocketship into a black hole
>>
>>47692521
Friendly reminder that Rick is pretty much a western Sasuke Stu that can asspull whatever the fuck he wants because his creator is "That Guy".

>>47692537
So that Rick is one of those who don't go much against Council of Ricks?

New urp plan, Jumpers. We gotta, we gotta use the portal gun to find the Rickiest Rick and hang out with him. He's the coolest. And he ain't afraid of nothing.

Now, what is the strongest creature in Rick and Morty world and how likely it is that in all this craziness there is a verse/planet/solar system/pocket dimension made for purpose of letting strong guys just do fights to death, all out brawls, Ultimate Showdowns of Ultimate Destiny and being brought somehow back to life or saved just before death? I mean, considering The Purge and all the crazy stuff, there has to be a place where bloodthirsty people go to. Or just ignore the saving before death part, I wanna know what creature in Rick and Morty so far was the most powerful thing and did Rick create it

My jumper self has tons of jumps of repressed anger and all and this jump seems like it would have means to do that
>>
Took game master perk nine times in Infinicon jump, what do?
>>
>>47692666
We certainly need a list of those who could.
>>
>>47692601
I wouldn't put it like that. Rick is often a plot device for good or for bad. He screws up way too much to be a Sasuke Stu and really is way too flawed and unlikable for that too.
Like any plot device character it's tough to gauge exactly how capable he is, however unlike most of them he is likely to cause almost as many problems as he solves.
>>
>>47692180

This is the closest I can think of.

First get Cosmic Fact from Marvel, Rumormonger from Persona, The Making of Myth from Sword and Sorcery, and Keep the Tell Alive from Mad Max.

The Making of Myth lets you make your previous adventures myths in new worlds, Keep the Tell Alive causes people to tell stories about you, and Rumormonger lets you alter reality using rumors but you lack control of the results. Cosmic Fact basically increased your plot relevance.

Next take a few options that make it harder to blend in, and then cause a few apocalypses. During this time start a rumor that they completed a dark ritual to summon you to destroy their world, and that you would have remained dormant if they had not. This should if done right slowly distort your personal history to make the dark ritual rumor true

Now repeat this until it becomes a significant part of your myth, or until it backfires horribly.

Now then assuming you manage to actually pull this off without it backfiring horribly your next step is to spread another rumor.

That rumor being that your myths is true, and that if the ritual is complete you will awaken to destroy the world.

Note that this is however a horrible idea.
>>
>>47692715
By "do that" I mean "release that"

He satisfied other things in other jumps. He just needs to release aaaaall that Rage with having someone capable of stopping him, along with, ya know, impressing Rick kinda because "What the fuck, this much urp power in that guy. the fuck he thinks he is"

> We gotta, we gotta use the portal gun to find the Rickiest Rick and hang out with him. He's the coolest.
Funny story, a bunch of my companions had this very same argument! They were like, "Konata, I don't want to have stupid adventures in some half-assed alternate dimension where everyone is the opposite gender but still has the same name. That's dumb, Konata. No, you're not 'Rick'. You're not Rick, Konata. Why can't, why can't we go find the real Rick, Konata?"

So, listen, I sat them down, I sat them down, right, and then I looked them straight in the eye, and then... then I belched directly in their face for half a minute. I timed it. A full thirty seconds in their face.

And then I stood up and said, "That's why."

May your dick be sucked by an army of god's least dressed angels, AdmiralAnon.

Anyway, I'm grateful for Generic Children's Show, because teaching Kerbals is a lot like teaching kids. They're over-enthusiastic, simple, and easily distracted. I am Jumper Anon the Science Guy for a reason. We will use models to educate the Kerbals and help them get to space. I will also teach them how to live up there, because being in space is as important as going to space. 100 years to advance a society to freely space-faring shouldn't be too hard, right? I mean, since it seems to be what all their society is based around? They have to farm and sleep and stuff now, but otherwise they are extremely dedicated, and at least 20 of them are actually competent.

I'm going to spend most of my time playing safety inspector and digging up raw materials for them to use. There will also be hints dropped and a few of my own designs implemented to give them guidance. Just guidance. No major leaps of any kind. At least mostly because rocket science is not a specialty of mine, even if space ship repair is a useful skill I've picked up.

I waffled on species a lot because preds and prey and such but eventually I decided that only one factor was truly, truly important.
I have to be able to tell Judy she's cute.

Anyway... I'm gonna make a goat.
I'm gonna use genetic engineering and magic and potions and chi to make the most charismatic, attractive, Cave Johnson-est goat you ever saw. And then, once the plot completes itself, he's going to run for mayor. And do everything I say.
And so he'll be mayor, and I'll be his assistant.

AESTHETICS!

Anyway, together we shall weather the coming storm, and create a society of love! And... that's it.
Really. I just want everyone to be able to love who they want, and I don't want to sit in the mayor's chair. I'd rather just stand slightly the the side of it and tell the mayor what to do.

Oh, and maybe there'll be robots somewhere, too.

Not him but his guns powers among other are 'never miss their mark'. Now this is the most problematic part along with 'kills fucking anything no matter what' because it means even if he does get killed by his own bullet the bullet will probably go right through and still chase you down. So a sacrificial lamb is necessary so he isn't aiming at you when he fires. Throw-away android or something should work fine. After that anything like time stop or super-speed should work since his bullets still have travel time.
>>
>>47693298

There is a small problem with this. It will work. It should even be able to be done with a combination of decent super speed and ... I think teleportation from Raildex (You may have to teleport the bullet instead of him with that I am not sure). However the bullets always hit their target and are always fatal so it will go through him and kill him but then it hits and kills the jumper. So it's probably good to have a decoy for him to be shooting at when you do it.

She can copy skills, and the special power types that her series has, Abnormalities and such. Anything else is just a NLF.

I'm just very careful around conceptual weapons, especially 'never miss' and 'always kill' kinds. If his guns never miss their 'mark' then I would be worried that he can aim on a conceptual level. And the fact that the creator of that universe himself got killed by it means it may very well not be dodgeable at all - after all if anyone could do it, Big G should have been able to.

That all may just be overcomplicating it though - after all it might be as simple as teleporting his guns into our hands instead or stealing them with any number of stealing perks.
>>

If it wasn't for the fact that fatal damage for many jumpers doesn't even include being reduced to a single cell that would be a must have item.
>>
>>47693715
She can only copy abilities that a normal (by her universe's standards) human can do. So Skills and Abnormalities, but no Minuses. That should probably apply to a lot of out of jump powers, meaning that your strongest stuff would be out of her reach.

Big G in this universe is only Big G on his seat. When he stepped off, he stopped being Big G and just became g.

There are jumps that provide those, and no worries anon you can do it.

Ennis had to backtrack on cassidy and big G there is not as strong without the chair.

Maybe it is you who decides the "mark"
>>
>>47693814
Like a lot of things in Medaka Box she just says she can while something else is happening.

It's like how Ajimu says she has a Become God skill that evidently doesn't do anything against having a rubber band flicked at you by Ihiko.

Ihiko was Saitama before Saitama was famous, except sorta evil.
>>

Stuff that you don't do.

Luck perks, "chances of something saving you ass" perks, Items, companions...

Not sure if it's only limited to in-jump stuff like abnormalities tho.

>>47693828
Not all of them though, and my point about Ihiko stands.

No, I did not just watch the anime. It's just been a fucklong time since I've read Conceptual Chuuni Powerwanking: The Series That Forgot It Was Supposed To Be A Parody.
>>

And when she copied some of Ajimu's powers? The only being she hasn't copied from is Lihiko, whose power is being immune to powers.

>>47693841
Yet another person who hasn't read the series. Lihiko's power is being immune to everything and some other stuff about breaking everything permanently, even attacks against him. Is she Omnipotent? No, doesn't mean she's not Nigh-Omnipotent instead.
>>
>>47693853
She hasn't seen or heard all of them, which is the requirement her power has. Please actually read my posts. And yes, it is still a parody. The only ones who don't treat it that way are the fans and communities like, oh, this place?
>>
>>47693858

Bullshit. If stuff in that series was actually something other than hyperbole, then why was it such a big fucking deal if Medaka could run in a straight line at Mach 1? Surely, with such amazing powers she would have gotten from Ajimu she would have been able to go faster.
>>
>>47693870
Fair enough. It's late, my memory's bad, I find it difficult to take the setting seriously and so here I am. I still think it's a total NFL to assume she can copy stuff that runs on sources of energy that don't exist outisde her reality though.

Throughout her time at Hakoniwa, Medaka has also managed to learn Encounter, Scar Dead, Ice Fire, Unknown Hero, Mother's Task, Book Maker, All Fiction, and a portion of Ajimu's quadrillion skills."

I'm gonna assume she can't copy jumper skills since they aren't in-universe abnormalities but what in the fucking fuck is this even

Also are there any anti-copy perks?
>>
>>47693910
It's the inevitable outcome of a shounen that parodies shounens like Raildex. "Oooh no, here comes Goddess-san who's double triple super omnipotent! But lo-it is Protagonist-kun, who rips apart her body with his special move: Plot Armor Punch! H-hayai!"

Seriously though, it's literally the same idea as One Punch Man but applied to conceptual powers instead of sticking a flightless Kryptonian in a toku setting.
>>
>>47693825
If you want to be extra unkillable you need a way to maintain the effect of the item when not carrying it or get an ability that keeps your stuff from being stolen.

Because Medaka didn't gain all of her powers, only 100 of her trample skills were shown, and the rest of her powers are generally conceptual hax, not physical enhancement. Why don't you try reading the series again eh?

>>47693909
No worries. The series isn't really meant to be taken super serious, aside from maybe the climax and a few other moments. Yeah, I do actually. Sue me, makes sense shit goes loco when multiple realities coexist.

I like OPM more than Medaka because even though it's a same premise, the characters are overall nicer people and the thing about Saitama is-his strangth isn't actually infinite. He just had the misfortune to be born in the wrong genre to have a good fight in.

I find they both have their strong suits. OPM was a parody from the start, where Medaka jumped genre a few times and only settled into parody halfway through. Keeping that in mind, it's a bit easier to swallow. Still, the OPM anime is a million times better then MB's anime.

This means powers obtained with ability drain, skill copy, soul steal or other jump
shenanigans, and powers derived from those. For you and your companions, including
companions podded during this jump.

She's still a superhuman being in a tonne of categories, she just loses all her abnormalities and minuses and so on.
>>
>>47694028
Yeah, that attitude's not cool at all. The real tragedy is, I get the impression that because of how I play my Jumper some people think I do indulge in that kind of bullshit when I just RP a lot as someone who's meticulous and paranoid, and put a lot of thought into considering how things interact. I mean heck, latest jump I really tried to emphasise there was some stuff my Jumper couldn't to and how he'd respond to it.

And the OPM anime was one of the few times I'm happy to say the adaptation added more good things to the original source material than it took out. Boros mirroring Saitama's ideal fight dream was GOAT, as was Saitama getting more time to talk to Licenceless Rider. And the OVAs somehow make old geezers and not-Sasuke moe.

Dinner was ending and Jumpchan had just turned the safety off on the pistol, some sort of semi-automatic. It didn't look like anything I'd ever seen before, except that it looked like every semi-automatic pistol I've ever seen. She lined up her eyes to the sight.
>"Okay, so you're starting the jump dead. Right side or left?"
Isaac and Lina were the only companions to bother showing up for our dinner this time. It was more of my companions than last time. The progress felt nice.
>"Go for the right!"
Lina giggled from across the table, weird cyborg teeth catching a glint of light as she did. She was tipsy on some strange wine we picked up a half dozen worlds ago. I sighed.
>Two in the back of skull, of course. Just like I've always dreamed.
>"Booo!"
Jumpchan began her slow walk around the table. She didn't have to go so slowly, but she was mostly in this for the show. It made sense she'd enjoy seeing me so tense. I'd never died before, but it sounded pretty horrible. She took her time lining up the gun with my brainstem. I didn't even hear the actual shot before I'd died, though. Jumpchan turned to face our dinner guests, who were currently indulging in second deserts.

Ah. I can't exactly put into words how I feel about it because it might not be concrete enough and I probably dip in and out of nlf like a drunk driver between lanes, but I'd like to think it's all in the name of making an interesting overall narrative instead of Gary Stu's Bizarre Shopping Spree.
For example going into medaka box as a mid-early chain jumper who thinks they are above it but is quite conceited with their powers and cocksure medaka will never be able to copy them, going in as a minus, only to have medaka copy many of their powers in an early meeting in the minus background. Usually the jumper at this point is rather removed from their backgrounds but this multi-level pride shattering and the stress of the previous jump going to shit basically causes a resonance cascade of butthurt for the jumper and their identity unstably fuses with their minus background, bent on proving they are the better with their powers. In the end minus-jumper-me loses and gets reformed by medaka, which is the humbling he needed as a jumper.

Stars have a life cycle, reproduce, and if you consider the solar system around them to be, "theirs," even evolve.
Some of them even seem downright predatory.
I would argue that by extremely broad definition, they are alive.

I do recognizing that that is extremely debatable, though.
If viral organisms are assumed to be non-living objects, then larger objects that rely upon external circumstances to reproduce are much the same.
But then I guess life is just mitosis, under that definition. I find that boring.

Any "humbling" done by the Mary Sue is tainted, anon. If you want to write a plot about that, choose a setting where the person teaching you that your pride is foolish won't be a hypocrite about it. The thing about the Dog Talisman is that it only works on fatal damage, it does fuckall to stop an attack unless it would have been fatal. For Shendu that is quite a bit.

>>47693329
Pick up Number-man or simply have some symbiote doing calculations. Proceed to punch him like a fucking surgeon, since wth both of those figuring out where his Aim field is will be a peice of cake.
Number man alone will tell you the moment something hits his barrier, the distance the barrier is to him, and when to pull your fist back so you can bypass the effects.
>>
>>47694952
Pretty much every time it was used. There's never any indication of the users being damaged aside from pain or losing conciousness, except for the time with Shendu losing a large chunk of his torso. Heck, its introductory episode had Uncle trading blows with Hak Foo and being in perfect shape afterwards aside from being buried in bricks.

Would recommend looking at the other Talismans. None of them have absolute effects, so trying to wank a single particular one as being completely perfect is just plain stupid.

With enough gun.

The only reason that fucker can't die is because he was updated to be an angel, and the only reason he can kill anything is because of his guns. Disarm him with the method of your choice. If you can get his guns away, you're safe; if you have a weapon that can kill an angel, you're sound.

Also important to note that the cosmology of that universe is kinda screwed up.

Rather than pick up the Amazo perk. I simply read Professor Ivo's mind with Omega Telepathy. Doing this I know knew how to make robots that can copy/utilize supernatural powers other thn my own.Incorpating magi-tech into the robots themselves wont be an issue via miniaturization.

These can later be internalized by me using my gestalt of bio-engineering perks, and later upgrade my companions with gear that has portions of copied powers.

>>
>>47695162
Explain, anon. I don't follow Worm that much.

I though Taylor only controls bugs or that the story was over
>>
>>47695747
Taylor has her power changed to work on anything, including people, but with a much shorter range. She gets a hold of a portal maker, uses them to extend her range, gathers a bunch of capes with it, and sends them on a mass suicide run to take down Scion.
>>
>>47695747
Everything goes to shit courtesy of Scion and Panacea (the biokinetic) drops her compulsion with messing with brains at Tay-Tay's urging.

She fiddles and expands the power-related coronas Parahumans have and makes Taylor's powers work on anything with a mind while causing her to go insane. She gets control of Doormaker and Clairvoyant and bodyjacks EVERYONE in the multiverse who has powers.
>>
>>47695779
Whoo boy,

Do her powers go back to normal? Are there any people immune to her?

Is this actually a strategy that worked against Scion or it was as poorly thought of as it sounds and there was a better way but Taylor was being stupid?
>>
>>47695747

For the most part >>47695779 and
>>47695789 are right, but there slightly wrong about Taylor's power upgrade.

There are a few beings that it still doesn't work on, or that she basically went "Nope not even going to try despite the apocalypse".
>>
>>47695789
Not everyone. Things insufficiently meat don't fall under her sway, and she purposely ignores her friends.

>>47695809
She gets some handgun brain surgery after the doormakers power runs out.

And the strategy worked. It worked astoundingly well. The real reason they couldn't take out Scion was that they were still too factionalized to put up a proper offense. She changed that.
>>
>>47695171
>>47695304
Noted. Given that I only have one piece of the elephant here as it were, my comments and questions will be about that. So given these are discounts will there be no origins? Will these perkbacks stack with origin discounts if they exist or not? On jump direction, it feels somewhat abstract and disjointed. Not familiar with source material, but it's a bit all over the place is how it feels. Perks are mostly solid but I do have questions.

Primordial Alphabet: Might want to clarify given as it is, it's possible to go into a work of fiction and power grab. Which is a return to the libriomancer debacle.

Sophia: So does it work with other training perks? If I read this right the intent is to tie together practice for multiple things and see how they connect, where they are similar, and how to cross apply what you can do effectively. Solid perk if so, I like it.

Mother's Son: So is this meant to help resolve a ship of theseus issue?

Keep off the grass: Criminal scum senses tingling. Might want to be a bit more clear on what vicinity entails for range.

Scorpio: So by raw I could end death, speed up political processes, halt the orbit of a celestial body, and break the cycle of religions coming about or spreading? Might need to specify a bit more here, although the fluff wasn't bad at all.

Lepidopterrarium: So if I go digging around in ruins for the spear of destiny, it comes up as fresh and minty as the day it was crafted or not at all?

The Ballroom: Dancing skills included?

Reality Spasms: Might be best to just remove it. Too random to be off use with arbitrary range/effects.

Surgineers: So does this only work on mental/physical concepts? As it is this is rather open ended such as making someone indestructible by removing the concept of destruction from them, or invulnerable by removing harm.

The Minotaur: But can it crack the defense of the mystery surrounding why ASA and kids love cinnamon toast crunch?
>>
>>47695837
How great were the losses though and CAN Scion nullify powers from other jumps or you can use that to fuck him over?

Also, read wiki a bit. So her powers were short range then but Clairvoyant located all People with powers while Doormaker opened portals next to them but also near Taylor?

>>47695837
What do you mean by handgun gun surgery.

And do her powers keep you affected after you get out of range of at that point her control breaks?

Would mind protecting perks save you?
>>
>>47695912
1. I mean literal handgun brain surgery to target the corona pollentia and stop her going insane, at the cost of her power. It was conducted by Contessa, whose power is the basis for the Path to Victory.

2. Her range is about 16 feet, and she can't affect anyone outside her range. You don't stay affected if you leave that area.

3. Take My Name Is Jake from Animorphs and you should be fine. Or just be a robot if you have an alt-form for that.
>>
>>47695912
He nullifies Shard-based powers using some internal frequency bullshit after asking the Shard what's up. No clue if he could do it with OCP stuff by studying it enough.

That is correct.

Contessa shot Taylor in the head in the end. She may have died and gone to the afterlife, or maybe it just turned off her powers because lol Path to Victory hax and she was dropped off in a locked-away Earth. I didn't keep up with that stuff once it ended so I really don't know.

No psionics in Worm. It's extradimensional bodily manipulation and power hijacking, rather than actual mind alteration. Not making the call on how that works out.
>>
Bit more fleshed out than what I had yesterday. Has companion descriptions and so on.

First part is not really even close to done but let me know what companions you'd go for and what you think of how this is shaping up.

General comments and suggestions are great as the format is obviously irregular/not a standard jump so I don't really feel like I know what I'm doing.
>>
>>47695912
>CAN Scion nullify powers from other jumps
Theoretically, some of them.
There's a canon Parahuman who can tweak the laws of physics in her area, so there's precedent for Scion to possibly have the ability to fuck up SOME powers.
He probably couldn't touch your magical/spiritual/non-SCIENCE powers, though.
>>
>>47696031
It's some king knock of LoT jump but in Elder Scrools World I like it.
>>
>>47696031
Is it possible to knock multiple people/all of them out and wait for them to wake up or will they still just be bloodthirsty? Hircine did say that whoever survives will join you, and trying to talk to them through the bloodrage won't work. So it stands to reason if you can knock them all out you can bring those (willing) to come along. Saying/doing are two separate things of course, but I'd like to confirm just in case.
>>
What ways exist that allow me to bring races from one setting to another. I know dwarf fortress has one, Any others?
>>
>>47696194
Warriors Orochi first scenario has four factions from your past land in the Dimensional Realm.

Technically, if you imported a race as your personal Civ in Civilization, the ruins that land in each Earth jump thereafter + the fact that some could claim descendant from these "peoples" could be another method.
>>
>>47695912
>CAN Scion nullify powers from other jumps
Scion's main trick is some comicbook pseudoscience "wavelength manipulation" thing, wherein he uses rays tuned to exactly the right frequency to do whatever he needs to do at the time, such as piercing barriers or "stilling" things, which he has canonically used to stop both tidal waves and people's hearts. I believed it's mentioned at some point that this ability works really well on in-setting powers because they all come from him and, after being hit by them two or three times in a row, he "remembers" them, along which frequency he needs to use to nullify or otherwise trump them.

He obviously can't "remember" powers from other settings and therefore, assuming his wavelength trick would work on them and he has some method for figuring out which wavelength he needs, it would take much longer for him to use it than normal. If you keep rapidly switching powers, and have a decently deep pool to draw from, he might not be able to nullify your powers at all unless the battle drags on for a VERY long time.

However, a big problem here is that the author, of the story, not the jump, has actually been really vague about the full extent of his powers, I think there was a WoG where he mentioned that he has tons of powers he didn't demonstrate in the story, but claimed he didn't want to list them all because doing so would be a chore. There is a non-negligible chance this is just so he can say "nuh uh, my character would totally win!" when someone asks who would win in a fight.

tldr version
>A reasonable, death of the author, answer is that he might, I personally think it's likely, be able to counter out of setting powers if you spam them, but it would take him much longer than it would for in-setting powers, and he might not be able to do it at all if you do the smart thing and switch continuously, quickly, and unpredictable

>If the author was here, he'd say "no, he'd counter all of your powers and kill you forever"

And oh boy, my Reality Marble lets me go through powers, one power of each person I befriended in the past jumps, scaled up or down to my power level. Even at one power per person, it can become shitload of stuff until I run out.

So he would have his shit slapped
>>
>>47696318

>>47696318
Depends on what you've got. The body you see is just a puppet built using bits of mass from his real self, which is under lock and key in myriad isolated parallel universes. Killing him while targetting the puppet is like emptying the ocean one person-sized bucket at a time.

If you can't find the dimension where he is- ah, fuck it. A butthurt ninny draws near, so just have a crappy respect thread instead.

https://www.reddit.com/r/respectthreads/comments/2oc7fa/respect_the_entities_worm/
>>
>>47696318
>kill Scion?
Really hard if you try to attack him head-on by yourself. At the minimum, you need a way to pierce dimensional barriers. His nature makes it so he can only take so much damage from any one attack, and it's entirely possible his health pool is big enough that you wouldn't be able to kill him even if you did nothing but attack him for 10 years straight.

It's much, much easier if you have charisma perks and can control your murder boner. Talking him into committing suicide is something that's entirely possible and shockingly easy.

>dimension where shards are
I have no goddamn clue what'd happen, though don't expect to pull this off without out of jump abilities. Also, don't expect a huge lump of dimension-breaching alien flesh to be defenseless.

>Behemoth
Endbringers are bullshit, no one has any clue how to kill them, and anyone who says they do know is lying, because the author keeps changing their stats. Timestop might help, but as a general rule you'll probably be way better off using what I can only describe as "shenanigans" instead of brute force when you fight them.
>>
>>47696311
If you can pay its cr price in cp you can be it. Go elder evil you know you want to.
>>
>>47696492
Everyone should ignore the author's out of setting wankery.
>>
>>47696386
>Is... Author of Worm just acting like a kid making an OC in terms of winning?
I think I may have said this before, but one think I really hate about Worm is that people using ingenuity by which I mean disguised plotarmor to win when they have "weaker" powers is a key component of the story. But then, in all his WoGs, he consistently says "nope, Endbringers/Scion/Sleeper would win in this fight because they're much stronger than those characters."
>>
>>47696318
>How hard would it be to kill Scion
Not too hard if you find the dimension he's actually residing in and hit him there. Or have the Sting power.

>What about accessing dimension where shards are?
The Entities did their damnedest to 'lock' those dimensions off but there's no way that that's not just a local 'lock'.
You could probably get around it by getting far enough away from Earth before going to that dimension.

>Behemoth just Godzilla expy?
Maybe, I dunno. The Endbringers are bullshit levels of tough, but you could fuck them up by hitting them where they really live, just like Scion.
>>
>>47696492
It is actually pretty easy if you have sting and cauldron access. Path to widest spread sting attack, doormaker, tinker tech sand cannon you apply sting to the sand as its fired at the real body over maximized area via doormaker. Get around the size limit for sting by rapidly applying it to small objects rather than 1 large one and dead scion.
>>
>>47696492
So how did they manage to kill him in canon if it was just thousands of capes each of which had powers belonging to Scion originally thus he could negate them easily?

On the wiki page, btw the Worm Wiki is a piece of shit, it says Behemoth can only redirect stuff he knows is coming. Killing him is something else but damaging in time stop or getting opening to do the thing is always good

>>
>>47696031
Coolio, my chill coolcat.
>>
>>47696631
Well, for most of the fight they get their asses kicked. HARD. Eventually Taylor has Panacea hack her brain to basically give her shard full access to it, expanding her telepathy to be able to control anything at the price of Taylor's mentality rapidly growing more and more alien and insane. She hijacks Doormaker and Clairvoyant to let her extend her mind control range over every universe, perfectly coordinates every parahuman in existence in the battle, and still gets their asses kicked. HARD. Eventually the day is won once she realizes that Scion's getting more and more human in his outlook as he learns to express himself through violence, and so she starts hitting him with psychological warfare reminding him of his dead waifu. Eventually he gives up and goes fetal, Flechette hits him with a Sting shot to expose the portal to his true body, and then he gets shot with a death ray Taylor had every Tinker in the world working on while the rest of the fight was happening.

You know, I don't recall. Let me check real quick.

Yeah, the description of it suggests that it does burn itself out. Defiant is worried that it will lose containment and it just barely lasts long enough to burn away all of Scion's mass. So yeah, no tasty tech to magpie. Well, its remains, I suppose. You might be able to get something working from that.

>Lung seems like a cool dude
Kind of an asshole. Driven by the need to prove he's the strongest.

>His plan was to Rip and Tear Leviathan and fought him to a Standstill.
Leviathan was sandbagging, like every other time it fought.
Also, Lung had to wait quite a while before he was pumped up enough from nearby battle to get HUGE like he did.
He is one of the strongest Parahumans out there in direct combat, but he's been beaten by others before.

>Totally would pod him unless his personality is a shit
His personality is in fact a shit.
Podding him would mean basically having to let him do his own thing and ignore you in every Jump. He can't stand the idea of taking orders or being subservient to anyone.
>>
>>47696852
His personality is a total shit. He's a lazy, insecure asshole who projects the image of being the proud noble warrior to justify him not actually doing anything interesting with all that power. He's content to sit in his little fiefdom as a small-time gang lord instead of any of the things you'd expect someone with that much strength to do.

>>47696926
King's already dead by the time you enter the jump, anon. Has been for nearly twenty years. You'd only have to deal with him if the Slaughterhouse 9000 happens like in canon and Bonesaw makes some clones. And in that case, there is zero chance you'll be able to isolate him for long enough, too many potential victims there. Just kill him and accept the collateral damage.

Or you could pick up Onega Telepathy From Xmen, and cloud his mind with images of his wife.

Not a complaint, so much as an observation, but I find it funny that since I was a powerful Arch-Mage in the other Elder Scrolls jumps, I still have all the skill to cast my spells, but lack the Magicka to make use of them.

For what its worth, a jumper could probably make a far superior weapon if he talks to the right people and gets what he/she wants. Pick up the tome from Imaginary friend that allows someone who touches it and says some magic word to bestow it with all of their knowledge. Be a charismatic jumper and talk to people like Reed Richards, Tony Stark, hell if you want just take the worm jump and finish it. After you finish the worm jump return for ten years. Post jump the entire world of worm is now free from the shard influences. So just gather tinkers and have them give you their now readable and understandable knowledge.

Seriously, the Alchemiter is ridiculously underutilized by peoples' builds. Combine any objects together into one, that's crazy powerful. Admittedly, the way it codes, you don't always get what you want or even what makes sense from a given combination. I believe at one point Jade somehow makes a statue of Johnny Five by accident when combining all her guns together in hopes of making a super-gun. Still, it's a really useful little thing to have.
>>
>>47697041
Armsfusion Crafter from Aion helps for two items being merged. It only stacks the Unique benefits though.

>>47697133
I think you might not understand how it works, then. You combine their data, not the items themselves. You put an item in a Catchphalogue Card, read the back for its code, then put that code into the Alchemiter. The item you're using in the combination isn't consumed by it.
>>
>>47697135
well it's not eating so much as assimilating.
>>
>>47697133
That's the best part, you keep the originals with an Alchemiter. Objects have a code, you can combine the codes for objects to get combinations, and you pay for the objects using grist.

So Hammer + Book = Bookhammer, and you get to keep the Book, Hammer, and Bookhammer. You just need to be able to pay for the thing, which can get costly for higher tier stuff.

Oh, and forgot to mention this part: If you're worried that just putting the item in the card is too much of a risk of it getting damaged, you can make a Captcharoid Camera to scan codes just by taking a photo of something. It's just a Captchalogue Card && Polaroid Camera combination. The && is because you can combine codes as either a logical AND or a logical OR operation. In theory you could add a negation operator in there, too, but there's no inherent function for that. You'd have to do it manually. Still would be interesting to see what the opposite of a code for something gives.

Grist is not money, but game materials. You get an item that converts stuff to grist in the jump. More powerful stuff is worth more grist, and you need the right kinds.

Hero weapon (one hand ranged pistol) + Scorms bow + a homemade (as in not reverse engineered from other settings) Plasma rifle.

Said plasma rifle was made for really dangerous ranged combat, its rather heavy and overheats rather easilly, but its technology I know well as it was developed on my own from me and its also modular enough to change it into a railgun for better range without too much trouble.
Lastly I added a The Daichi and a Shield for meele +rocket launcher (which is actually a miniaturized Medabot tech AI that helps with shooting stuff and cannot move on its own).

This weapon exists mostly because I needed some good wildly different ranged options that would remain relevant and allow me to fit in just about anywhere when my weapon was on one of its modes (as in fantasy, wild west, chi fi and such settings, depending on mood as well).

In settings like mass effect the plasma rifle or the weird looking pistol is out or even the Daichi just so I can ham up being the mysterious Eastern dude (HAM).
In fantasy its the bow most likely.

For real melee when I got time I simply use my Jian sword..no transforming tricks of any sort, its one beautiful sword.

>>
>>47696810
That's a pretty fucking sick idea.
>>
>>47697342
Sure thing. An AND operation returns as true if both inputs to it are true. The most simple form is a logic gate that has a value of 1 if the two inputs leading to it also have a value of 1. Captchalogue Cards are punch cards, so this can be done as simply as overlapping two cards. The holes in them that will remain in the composite are only those where both cards have a hole, otherwise one will block the other.

OR operations return as true if either input returns as true. So to go back to the logic gate, it will have a value of 1 if it gets a 1 and a 0, a 0 and a 1, or a 1 and a 1. With Captchalogue Cards you do this by punching two codes onto card, getting a hole in every place that either card has a hole.

Now, what exactly this does for the alchemization is unclear. You'd think that AND operations give you objects that have only the common traits between two items while OR operations give you objects that have all the traits between them combined, but if it works that way the alchemiter has very inhuman definitions for what traits items have. So it's not a straightforward process, even if the combinations do yield objects that mostly make sense.

Actually, whether you double punch or overlap just determines which of objects is primary one in combination.

Look at first combining montage. Cards, if the same cards are used in different ways, remain in same place. The symbol for action changes. Overlapping uses the object after the symbol, double punching uses the one in front.

Of course you don't see the formula without doing it first, to make it appear in index, but it still explains stuff. It's basically Pokemon breeding level stuff. It determines which one is mother. Which item genes are stronger

Misaka WORST is one of the clones of the titular Railgun whose only reason for existence is to take the accumulated backwash of negative emotions that flood the Misaka Network. >>
>>47698595
... that is messed up.
>>
>>47698311
I don't think it works that way. It appears to in some of them, but that's not consistent. For example, by your logic doing "Puppet Tux || Smuppet" should get you a combination with the Smuppet dominant, probably resulting in a Smuppet wearing a tux. Instead it gets one where the Puppet Tux is upgraded to be made of the same plush red felt as the Smuppet. The fact is that we don't really know enough about how the Alchemiter assigns codes to objects to definitively say "it works this way". I mean, this is remarked upon in-character that it makes no sense. The codes are only 48 bits, how do you put a description of any possible object that could exist into that? If just writing on something changes its nature enough that it alters its code, it's quite possible to run out of codes you can use. 48 bits is only 280 trillion possible states. A large number, but not enough to account for every possible permutation of an object.
>>
>>47698734
Is it as messed up as the fact that half of them were only made so Accelerator could slaughter them?
>>
>>47698829
|| makes first object dominant. && makes the other. There are exceptions but mostly, like in your example, it works. At the very least, in first montages that is how it worked

The entire premise behind the Misaka Network is Reason #2 of why I want to find a fucking way to punch Crowley in the fucking face.

>>
>>47698880
&& is overlap, || is double-punch. And that might be how it worked in the first montage, but that could be a statistical anomaly. There are plenty where you have && favoring the second, or || favoring the first. Like I said, the system is messed up and not easy to codify into simple rules.
>>

Yep, she's gone totally around the bend so people don't often like how her character acts, something about her being batshit insane, but I felt bad for her and wanted to see if there were any others who had taken her to redeem and join my ongoing Companion Group. Also just to get her out of the fucking world that seems content to tear her to pieces. She's also pretty cybered up, the old fashioned way with little painkillers from what I understand, and is the closes to Misaka's level out of the Sister, though that may have been someone exaggerating as her feats so far haven't been stellar.

>>47698863
Think of it this way. All of their Fear, Despair, Hate, Pain, Self-Hate, and other negative emotions go to WORST. Their final moments WORST can explicitly remember. To quote her...

And now for a build for a jump I hadn't realised I didn't have a build for until quite recently.

Neverwinter Nights:

Neverwinter Nights 2
Drop-In
27 years old
Tiefling 50
Skilled Individual
Charismatic 150
Montage 450
Arcane Pact 850
Eater of Spirits 1450
Wallet
Adventurers Gear 1500
A Dreadful Case of Protagonism
Double Down
Choo Choo, Motherfucker 1300
Spirit Eater 1000

Not entirely sure this build was sensible.

Went Tiefling mostly because Tieflings had a couple of bits of fun dialogue in NWN 2. Plus being a ridiculously powerful entity that people keep trying to discriminate against is always pretty funny. Cost me 50 CP and I don't really get anything out of it other than fun.

Skilled Individual makes me skilled at 3 things. I struggle to think of something even when just one thing is on offer. Probably going pottery, gardening and something else. Not really good at either of those things.

Charismatic can't hurt and is always a fun way to play these games. Fun thing to have in the backstory too.

Montage means I learn fast.

Arcane Pact is great as it gives me Warlock levels. Already got Divine and Arcane down from elsewhere. It's the sort of thing you're better off buying with CP as well.

Eater of Spirits was sort of to tie into the whole protagonist thing which... was probably a mistake. Took Protagonism, something that doubles the amount of time here, something that forces me to complete the plot which I'd probably have to do anyway due to Spirit Eater which requires me to follow the plot of Mask of the Betrayer which I imagine I can as the protagonist is the same as from vanilla NWN 2 and I'm now the protagonist from that.

All gets a bit confusing. I imagine I can probably follow MotB though given I chose the thing that immediately precedes it in the game and I have far longer than I'd need to.

Hopefully it works out.

Net Terminal Genes make you a technopath with automatic admin access, to the point where they're theoretically capable of taking over the entire Megastructure. Said Megastructure is of indeterminate size, but given that it's grown large enough to absorb Jupiter is at least 5.2 astronomical units (778 million kilometers) in radius. It's not a Dyson Sphere, though, it's a solid structure. Much of its volume is filled with computers and robots. So, at least in theory, fully realized Net Terminal Genes give you some damn powerful ability to mess with networks. The alt-mode is the hilts connected together causing the whips to become rigid creating a spear that fires lighting.

Nice strategy is snaring enemies and neutralizing them with a couple thousand volts.

Naughty strategy is slicing through weaker enemies and killing powerful ones with through a thousand cuts.

The spear is for short to medium range blasts and the finishing move is driving it into the chest and frying everything inside

Thanks to those of you that recommended it over the anime, and, wow, it's about as weird as the hype makes it out to be.

>Because the Saint of Killers had interacted with the one gap in God's omniscience, and that threw off God's predictions. That's what the story is about, God trying to kill the one thing he can't see. And before you go "well I guess he isn't really omniscient, then", I say "Yes. That is absolutely correct."

Thank you for the answer anons that's all I wanted to know.

How weird was it? All I know is that one of the villains is made of shadow dogs and two of the girls were raped in their backstories.

Why do you need perks for it?

Just eat it.

It works in real life too! Eat your phone

Well, at least you can provide for them, right? I think the fact that you did so for thousands of years should help ease some of her worries. Some. Won't ease the worry that you've become a crazy cat lady, but for people.

I read an LP and he does a good job of panning how horrible the translation is and how much Nasu likes oddball exposition. The sex scenes where he replaced the lewd bits with cereal names fucking killed me.

It's worth checking out. I'm not sure that it made my Tsukihime build any easier, but it definitely gave me a better idea of what I'm working with.

What is it with japan and psycho lolis?
>>
>>47699862
Assimilation is a good one, it gives you infinite resources to run the absorbed machine with. Unlimited fuel for an engine, ammo for a weapon, or feedstock for an assembler. Has the potential to be really powerful if used with the right tech.

Teah, especially when a jumper gets their hands on a fucking Gravity Beam Emitter or that Swat Katz orb item.
And gets even better if you say integrate Amazo absorption cells.
You can even integrate magitech, and Symbiotes

I've only ever done the Arcueid path. Are the others worth a look?
>>
>>47699704
In a way, Symbiote. You just have to deal with the fact that there's only so much space inside your body.

That's what magic is for.

The game gets progressively more fucked up the more routes you do. That's the most I can say without spoiling.
