So, this clocks in at 51 pages and 48 megs, uncompressed, making it my largest jump yet. I’ll be in thread for a while, so toss questions and critiques out there and I’ll answer them as best I can. There’ll probably be spelling errors and the like, so if you see those call those out too.

Thanks for being patient as I worked on it. Hope you have fun.

Yes, this is the anon who asked about Civil War a few days a go.

Neither because they are both shit.

So, asking this again because I didn't get an answer last thread:

How fast are Hellsing vamps?
>>
>>47595422
Neither.

I go neutral route, depose the Nohrian king who caused the conflict, and work out a peace agreement between both factions due to the fact that there's a threat at the bottom of the chasm.

I'd go into detail but I have no immunity to instant-death-effects yet.

First of all that's terrfying.

Second, when trying to buy pic related does she count as super-powered for Son of the Patriots?

>>47595357
Pic Related has a fine railgun sniper system hooked up to her wolf-mech, and I posted my own Sniper Wolf Zoid last thread.
My Sniper Wolf is capable of becoming invisible, has an advanced ECM system in place, and radar seems to slide off it, and that was how I got it to start out. Oh and it has a Charged Partial Cannon in its mouth so I could snipe with that hellish weapon.
>>
All right, here it is. Finally typed up and ready for some basic reviews.

Zootopia Version 0.8.

Everything is pretty much in place, but a little rough. There will be some more fluff added to the beginning and I would like to know if the Race section makes sense as it stands.

Other than that, I'm going to have a shower and I will be back shortly to read through your reviews, concerns, corrections, and outcries of anti-furry hate

.>>47595357
My Junkplate Dragon is still my favorite. He's short, but long and a bit bulky. I built him out of enchanted swords, armor, and a bunch of spaceship parts on a drunken dare early on in the Chain. He's got basic AI and is really uncomfortable to sit on, but really intimidating to look at. I even managed to give him some Fire Breathing. He tends to melt his mouth shut if he uses it too much though. Design flaw.

>>47595440
They're really not much faster than your traditional vampires, but a decent bit stronger and with better regeneration. They ramp up pretty quickly with age and more souls though.
>>
>>47595458
Only a few. I usually end up being the only actually useful older character.
>>
>>47595440
Not the jumpmaker or an expert, but I'd guess…
Faster than human, but slower than bullets, seeing as how most vamps choose to use firearms in most situations, despite their supernatural power.

okay so I absorbed in the young justice jump, and I have amazo backup data, and a companion or two with sting from worm so I got a bunch of knives, put them on floating balls that talk to each other in a manner not unlike Wi-Fi signals equipped them with a mechanical version of sting and speed force, and they are programmed to float in a vaguely conical manner cutting things in a direction of my choosing, I call it the bladenado. Altogether the units take up roughly the space of a normal size van but the radius in which they can spin relative to each other is expandable and number of units scales easily

Okay cool. 200 cp is a heck of a lot less. Also I can fix crazy, seriously it's something I actively look for along with purification powers that can help redeem those I... Befriend. Curing others of their pain makes me feel like I'm striving for the ideal that I loved so long ago, before the chain began to erode my naivety. I oft find myself getting charity cases like her and put them back together just to justify to myself...

"I'm still a good man, no matter the fact I have ventured to a desert and brought forth a sea of blood for the sake of my research. No matter that the stains are so deep they never wash away. No matter the fact that even magic can't stop the smell of the rot beneath my fingernails."
>>
>>47595611
4 had some genius moments in it, but when the game has 8 hours of cut-scenes, that's to be expected.

The theme of tech mimicking supernatural talents and making them obsolete was echoed throughout the game. Snake's suit made camouflaging skills obsolete, Laughing Octopus and her suit made Decoy Octopus's years of training and skill look like a parlor trick, Crying Wolf was Sniper Wolf but highly mobile, far better at tracking, and with the ability to fire a railgun instead of a sniper rifle, and Screaming Mantis was literally Psycho Mantis + The Sorrow in terms of powers.
Even the PMC's got in on the act, with nunnermachines making actual combat skill and team coordination obsolete, and with the Gekkos being the actual bridge between infantry and armor that was the dream back in MGS3. Raiden's ninja skills and body now put him on par with Vamp, who is a genetic freak of nature and who has half his superpowers due to super tech. And now tons of FROG soldiers have his powers too, because the tech became standard issue for them.
>>
>>47595696
No, they don’t add to your spells per day castable. They’re spells known, rather, for prepared arcane casters, ala Wizards. Someone asked for spellbooks, so I added them in. If it’s not clear that the books aren’t adding to how many you can cast per day I’ll make a note of that.
>>
>>47590714

You've probably been making jumps longer than I have, Digger. What sense does calling me Senpai make?
>>
>>47595786
I think he was wondering if you start off knowing spells if you are a wizard and don't buy any books.
>>
>>47595786
No, no. That's clear. I meant it as additional spells known.

...Which does seem rather obvious in reflection?
>>
>>47595781
Yeah, it's a fun theme. I have a friend who was really pissed about it though.
>>
>>47595829
>>47595831
Yes, those are additional spells known. I’m assuming that you’ve gathered spells commensurate with your experience level. This book would give you access to spells in addition to those.

>>47595781
So what you're saying is.

When everyone is super, no one will be.
>>
>>47595846
Time progresses, and the theme is really echoed through the entire series. In MGS2 they manage to recreate Snake in Raiden, and recreate Fortune's natural powers so well that she didn't even notice it. In MGS1 half the "powers" people had were minor genetic quirks enhanced with surgery or drugs and a shitton of training. Compare that to MGS3, where they have 50's popsci powers out of comic books, and it's either explicitly supernatural or the product of extreme surgery before this theme was ruined by MGSV.
>>
>>47595940
Haven't played MGSV. From what I've heard though and what we're talking about, it got ruined by MGSV making everything in its story the product of tech despite it predating Solid's games and so thus the powers should've been supernatural or predominately so?
>>

@Anon who was doing the "One True Pirate King" thing from the previous thread.

Might want to look at Discworld, for the Heredity perk. Can pass on stuff like cyborg/magic/whatever to your children, even if passing that stuff on makes no sense. Works through people you adopt as well, as long as they're young enough.

>Scales in Balance
As a LIZARD GHOST, who's been there for centuries making a name for myself. How good/weird is this gonna be?
>>
>>47595983
Everything is the result of Parasites. The reason it's so shit is because this is true retroactively; everything in MGS3 is Parasites as well. Parasites being used exactly like the nanomachines from MGS4, but a solid 40 years earlier. And when I mean exactly, I mean there's at least two people in the game who independently and deliberately modify these parasites to recreate and make new versions of them with altered abilities.

I don't really care about your agenda.

I'm just saying, originally the movie was going to have that as a thing. They decided not to go that route because test audiences wanted Nick to let society fall instead of helping to maintain it, because duh.
I'd be interested in seeing an option that lets you go to that world.
>>
>>47596254
I thought that was just a fan-comic made off an interesting theory. I didn't realize it was actually based on anything from the movie. I'll look into it and might add it.

>>47596319
It doesn't have anything to do with intelligence, just sheer numbers. In the movie Bellwether mentions that Zootopia is 90% prey, so it's not hard to see a situation that would have them ganging up on predators to take steps for public safety.

>>47596379
Exactly.

>>
>>47596228
The bees are parasites because of pheromones, the eyes are parasites, the photosynthesis is parasites, the mad sniping skills are parasites, the FUCKING FURY BEING FUCKING FURIOUS is parasites for no goddamn reason. The Fear is hella surgery, and possibly parasites and/or prototype stealth camo. Volgin and The Sorrow are most likely all-supernatural, but that's only because ghosts and ESP being in the MGS series has been a thing for so long it'd be impossible to make them parasites.

Note that I said they most likely aren't parasites. Because the parasites can recreate their telekinesis, levitation, and invisibility powers, and Volgin's super durability, and much much more.

It's not directly mentioned in the movies, but the creators have been asked this a lot and have a pretty good answer for it.

Most predators have become at least partially omnivorous over the evolution process, as Clawhauser clearly shows. But they still have protein needs. Those are fulfilled by plant-based and insect-based proteins. There were also supposed to eat fish, but that was discarded early in the writing process because it confused the rules of the world too much.

There's even several items in the background that lends credit to this. Bug-burga is a "burger" joint. Boxes from the restaurant can be seen in the alley when Judy first questions Nick. The creator elaborated that predators could get grasshopper shakes, cricket chips, or a cicada burger.

So, sadly, I was not able to realize my dream of adding a fluffy moth waifu to my harem, but there it is.

Beyblade

13 years old
Metal Fight
Bey Control
Go Shoot!
Rise Above the Storm
Let's Beyblade
Blader's Spirit
Intensive Training 100
Beylin Arts 200
Legendary Blader 600
The Beyblade
Type Configuration - Attack
Special Attack
Element - Darkness
Specialized Performance Tip 650
Type Optimization 950
Replacement Parts Fund 1000

This took a lot longer than it should have to make a build. Reminds me of Yu Gi Oh in that they're both very silly and both jumps are almost entirely focused on the kids game the world centers around. Fun though.

Freebies are mostly about Beyblades. Let's Beyblade is my favourite one as it's sort of necessary to get something that lets you continue to use Beyblades in later universes without people going "was that a spinning top?"

The build was just the best I could do to make my Beyblade more powerful. Intensive Training lets you break down a steel door, I have no idea why it's 100 CP.

Chose Attack and Type Optimization as I figure I'm most likely to just continue to use this to occasionally knock shit down. Probably not going to be a lot of protracted Beyblade battles but I may want to use it to smash something from time to time.

Chose darkness as gravity powers are great and a gravity powered spinning top is just mental.

Probably going into this early as I can't imagine I'll get a lot of use out of a Beyblade otherwise. That being said I think I'm probably be going to be using Beyblading stuff as a staple move until I actually get a decent weapon.

So, let's see what's changed, yes?

Location: Pax Tharkas
Era: The Dwarfgate War, 39 AC
Arcane [50] Magic!
Draconian - Vapor [150] Liiizzzard!
>perks:
Alignment Choice - Upgraded, "Chaotic Neutral" [100] This is just great. I'm whatever Alignment I say I am. And Detect spells will back me up every time.
Tall Enough - Intelligence [Free] I'm a smort guy.
Arcane Adept [Free] Magic.
Experienced Classes - Tower Trained [150] Celestial Magic
Experienced Classes - Hedgemage [150] My own blend of Magic?
Archmage of High Sorcery - Order of the Red Robes [300] I iz an Archmage?
Renegade Magecraft [300] Why, yes. Yes, I am. Magic!
Acolyte [Free, Vapor] But not just in the Arcane...
Experienced Classes - Mystic [Free, Vapor] Also in Divine!
>racial:
Incorporeal Undead [400] GHOOOOOOOOOSTS!
>items:
Starjewels [50] Fancy...
Spellbook [50] Every wizard should have a good Spellbook. This one has infinite blank pages, and will never weigh more than a normal one? Excellent. I have many, many grimoires to copy into this new Master Copy.
>drawbacks:
Ocular Angst [+100] I can deal with spoopy raistlin eyes, I'm pretty sure. Atleast my companions are ageless.
Dumpstat - Wisdom [+100] What am I saying? OF COURSE I CAN! Help. I don't need good decision making, do I?
Dumpstat - Strength [+100] Or physical strength. I'm a ghost after all.
Formlock [+100] LIZARD GHOOOSTS!
Pernicious Patronage [+300] Hm... I know nothing of these Gods. Which one would screw around with me?

My pride and joy as an engineer.
Impeller and gravity manipulation, plasma thrusters, pocket dimension storage space, enchanted Luminite armor.

Storage space contains a downsized Paragon and fabricators to create whatever weapons I want on the spot, and provide energy for the armor to function. This also means it could act as an ACU itself, if I wanted.
Weapons include (but are not limited to) phason lasers, disintegration beams, particle cannons, lightning field generators, nanite rockets, nuclear missiles, and quantum disruptors. In addition, it can use a mix of quantum locking, tractor beams, and 0-range TK to use weapons not directly attached, meaning it could fly around circled by oversized plasma casters.

It can take on most settings by itself.
>>
>>47596854
I almost had to give up having a Meltran waifu when the revision happened as I could not pass up the engineer perks.
But I managed to get just enough CP at the end to import the Choir as Meltrans.

Using a Meltran as a bed makes being a Living MacGuffin totally worth it.
Having several Meltrans fight over who gets to be the bed that night makes one question it.

So, I'm mostly just Lizarding around, bumbling into shit while other Mages either fawn over me or start hating me when I come around. Do random spoopy ghost lizard bullshit, just because I can.

Find a bard, and hire him to follow me around to sing about spoopy scary ghost lizards.

Maybe help out with this War. Maybe just steal whatever stuff is really valuable.
...Mostly that Dwarven Hammer I heard about. I imagine a good part of my time here is spend as the Enemy of Dwarves. Put on some Benny Hill music for ambience. Maybe are more haunting version.

Also, I'll try and forge a Dragon Rider bond with Arixen, my Red Dragon companion... that seems like a good project to try and figure out before this war starts. If it doesn't work, we'll just keep going as we are. Familiar-Bond is nice too.

And then, just a little more than three centuries after my arrival, the modules come into play...

>Scales in Balance - Starting in 340AC
Rewards: +300cp for items
Gully Dwarves Gem [100] I can't resist shiny gems.
Spellbook [200, discounted] But just one, mostly empty spellbook is never enough... is it?

Well, this is awkward. I'm the nice kind of Lizard GHOST, honest?

>11th: Our Hero - Starting in 351AC
Rewards: +200cp, Mounted Greater Dragonlance
Warmage [200] So, uh, do I just posses some armor or something?

Fightan' Time...

>40000 Things I Hate About You
Rewards: +400cp, Friends Like These
Artifactory [400] Imma build ALL the Crazy Magic Shit. This is going to be Great.

FOR CHAOS!

Ok so stuff moving along fine with the jump.

Thing is, ayy lmaos dont have much in the way of perks that wouldn't be covered by the Ayylmao builder thing.

I was thinking in limiting perks for D-I's and Hunters only, considering aliens have a lot of options.

Plus, I'm including a personal GANTZ sphere [without the guy inside] (500 no discounts) that is basically an armory that always has enough basic equiment for ten people. And a 300 upgrade that restores it's transfer and 100-point menu features even while out of universe.

Cloning/resurrection should stay disabled? Or should it be a Once-Per-Jump thing?

>Wait. Seismic shock guy got killed by robot too. By the damn third version. Okay. Yeah, this is Incredibles: pokedex edition really hard.

Nope and not necessarily, respectively.

Hypershock took out the X3, it was the X4 - the sequel redesigned with beating him in mind - that killed him.

The threat ratings are definitely biased by either offensive powers or indestructability; note that most heroes don't have much of the latter - i.e. they are glass cannons - and Hypershock's powers worked only on solid materials via physical contact. From the files, it looks suspiciously like the X4 might be the version that got the ability to shoot its grappling claws; if I was a combat AI, I'd just jump into the air for the few seconds required to precisely launch Sharp Metal Thing X through Soft Fleshy Thing Y.

Also, folks debating whether the Omnidroids had adaptive AI - yes, they did, but it started off quite primitive and was focused on combat. Syndrome did the actual engineering/redesign work on each new version, using data collected during the fights.

Here's a half-hour Extras vid with “NSA interviews" of various heroes, including Hypershock: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d73WtJlko9E

Big O

25 years old
Underground
Paradigm Lap Dog 100
Style 200
Mega Deus Training 400
Memories
Assets 700
Big Fau 1100
QUALITY! 1000

Don't know the setting, rolling underground for location seems like a bad thing.

Took Paradigm Lap Dog as I liked the Assets perk. Tend to choose a lot of 'your minions are fanatical' perks. Don't usually have any minions but when I do I want them as fanatical as possible.

Also chose Style because it's about snappy one liners and creative problem solving. Mostly in it for the snappy one liners.

Mega Deus Training was as I was getting a big robot and it seemed like a good get.

Got Big Fau as I got the discount and also apparently it's pretty big. Not a fan of the long head so I'm probably going to modify it to give it a seagull or shark head or something. Maybe paint it as well. Still, a giant amphibious shieldy mech could come in handy. Seems like it should be relatively easy to make a large powerful mech fast as well with tech from other places.

QUALITY! basically serves to make the whole thing feel like a weird dream where proportions change all the time.

Part of me thinks it would be simpler to do one res per jump (which can't be the jumper).

Part of me wants to stick closer to the source material - unlimited res for anyone not the jumper, but they have to be paid for in Gantz points and earned the usual way - by going out and killing aliens.
I suppose that way ends up with more wanking as to how many points everyone has.

So we sent two spaceships into orbit, one with the decoy and the other to retrieve it, and used alien technology to fake the moon landing rather then using said alien technology in the space program.

Meanwhile the soviets conspire with the us government, their best buddies apparently, to fabricate the race to the moon after spending hundreds of millions of dollars to get there before the US. And yet in the age of Snowden and hackers this information has not been revealed to us.

Alright /jc/, I'm building a destroyer spaceship and I'm wondering how to make it the best.

The broad systems I'm thinking about are
FTL
Weapons
Shields
Power plant
Sublight Propuslion
Sensors

I was thinking Macross Fold for FTL
Star Trek Antiproton cannons and beam array/Star Trek micro quantum warheads mounted on Macorss missiles for point defense and antifighter/Macross MDE for anti ship for the weapons
40K Void Shields
Star Trek Antimatter for power plant
Star Trek Impulse for sublight
Star Trek sensors

Make sure you visit FTL. There's a /lot/ of spaceship stuff there just begging to be added to any decent spaceship.

I mean, come on, Drone Control Systems, auto-healing medic bay. Even better, most of the systems can operate without someone at the controls. Admittedly, they work better with butts in the chair, but you never know when you'll have to repel boarders.

And the Zoltan shield? Admittedly not 40K Void Shields, but still nice and pretty low power for the use you get out of them.
>>
>>47595355
I have a couple questions.

First for war of three masters do we have to kill Raistlin to save ourselves is it possible to reason with him?
Second what happens if you take The war of three masters and 11th our hero? or for that matter took Damned as a drawback since you are not the gods favorite person.
>>
>>47599795
Powerplant: I'd go with the Zero-Point module from Stargate, a 2 foot crystal based battery containing an artificially created pocket of subspace-time. Lasts tens of thousands of years, 3 of them maintained a shield to protect Ancient city of Atlantis thousands of feet underwater for 3000 years.
>>
>>47599795
A few thoughts:

Firstly, remember that the Fold Quartz you're using in the MDE weapons can also be used to boost the output of your reactors, should give you a big increase in usable power.

Secondly, Mass Effect has some really nice goodies. Mass effect fields can increase maneuverability a lot, the Thanix Cannons would add some kinetic punch to your weapons array, and given that the Normandy does space stealth the hard way their cooling tech must be godlike.

Thirdly, consider adding a carrier complement. Drones and fighters are always welcome. Possibly some GN tech mobile armors or mobile suits? You're visiting Macross anyway, you could get the design for the Ghosts and change out their power plant, should serve you very well.

Finally, for sensors you really can't beat tech taken from a space-based 4X game. And while we don't have any jumps of those, yet, Endless Legend takes place in the same universe as Endless Space. So you might want to leave Auriga while you're there and see if you can steal some good sensor tech from the various races.
>>
>>47599795
Hmmm, you'll want some Blame/Biomega tech most likely. Things like the Insanity Lens are interesting, as they can provide plasma and can act as generators.

Though one thing you'll really want is the Reverse Phase Image Polymer from Biomega and those "Megastructure" perks from both Blame and Bionega, so you can scale this huge spaceship up and have all of its systems go to scale as well.
>>
>>
>>47600185
Oh, you finished this. Excellent. I have fond memories of this game, visiting it will be fun.
>>
>>47599898
Well, I was thinking about using the AI I got from Halo for managing most of the systems. All hooked together most of that would become automated anyway, even the med bay as towards the end of the TNG jump the EMH would be developed. Also I don't want to put too much emphasis on automated defense, as then its only one hack away from being lost.

I'm not wasting my time with external drones, there's going to be a small hanger that can store a few upgraded Macross VFs and vehicles.

>>47600083
I just need to get the tech to make them from the Asguard

>>47600110
Now that you mention it, getting fold quartz after Macross is going to be an issue. I've got some Biochem perks and am infected the V-type virus, it's just going to be a bit of pain in the ass to make them.

You've got a point about the Mass Effect fields and cooling tech. I actually like AES stealth too, as a concept.

>Consider adding a carrier complement.

> Political Face [-100CP]
> Master Plan [-200CP]

> Pawpsicles [-50CP]

> DVD Collection [-100CP]

Reminder that Leopard Cats (it's like A Pimp Named Slickback, you have to say the whole thing) are actually quite small.

I considered taking the Corrupt Police Force drawback, and if I did, my plan would probably involve replacing the entire police force with robots and laughing at anyone who tries to stop me.
But I didn't, because it would probably make that dumb bunny sad.

Or maybe I'll go back and redo this later and do it anyway. Maybe I'll become mayor and make the entire city into a shiny cyberpunk u/dystopia like in Pinocchio 3000 except not complete shit.
Or maybe I'll take Interspecies Uproar and campaign for equal rights and forbidden love.
I don't know. This feels like a story I'll have to think on more, and right now I'm tired.

But this part of the build won't change. This right here, this is like the "core" of the build, and any alterations will be addons later. I'll probably work in government because why not. Maybe I'll have a side business.
Green Energy will synergize well with all my green tech perks. ESPECIALLY from Tropico.

I am totally gonna abuse Princess Bride's Adaptanator and make Zootopia versions of E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.
I am not sorry.

I think that's because we don't know enough about the setting to say if it's safe or not. Remember Albedo's little sister, who is supposedly the strongest being in the setting and her weapon against the other Supreme Beings? That, and a lot of other unknown factors makes it a little too early to call it easy to survive.

>What are some good jumps to take early on in a chain?

I tend to like starting with jumps that involve mostly mundane skills and abilities, rather than massive feats of magic or paranormal skills. a few suggestions:

>Futurama
Fairly survivable, and you can pick up some interesting stuff. In my case, I took this as my second jump, in part to get the Worms of the Cologne, for an early game strength and intellect boost. I also wanted the bedroom perk "Sweet Sweet Candy" and the lifetime supply of slurm.

>Princess Bride
Also survivable, i took this fifth. I primarily wanted Dread Pirate Roberts, so I could convince powerful figures later on to teach me their ways. a chance to practice my swordplay was also welcome.

>Jackie Chan Adventures
I took this eighth, in no small part to pick up some kung fu skills.

>Venture Brothers
an excellent place to pick up some very versatile magic and an extradimensional mentor. I also like the underling loyalty and foot-in-the-organization's-door perk.

>Muppet Treasure Island
Good place to get some sailing experience, i'm fond of the native tree for it's strength.

>Mount and Blade
Good place to hone your horsemanship and melee weapon skills

>Shrek
Unlimited onions. some territory that moves from jump to jump. a castle. An ogre form incase you need to shrek someone's face.

>>47600735
Invader Zim. Safe setting, Irken race has some nice starter perks. Determination is always nice to have. Most importantly, Boundless Enthusiasm. You're gonna be out there for a while, jumper. Best not to get bored.

The capstone martial arts in Wuxia are fucking amazing. Some other really good stuff in there as well, depending on what your combat style is.

Generic Dungeon Crawl has a HUD, Loot perk, and Save Scumming (once per jump, but still). What more can you ask for?

Sherlock Holmes. Really easy jump, crazy good mental boosts.

If you talk about death too much the Grim Reaper will kill you out of spite. There is a one percent chance to die if you eat a jelly Bean. There is a chance to get hit by a meteor if you stay in the same place outside for too long. The list goes on.

Most importantly the natural lifespan of a sim ranges from less than a year, to less than three. You have this lifespan in the jump, the newborn age mentions that you will reach toddler in three days.

Sorry to talk about an earlier jump, but I've got two questions on Aberrant from the Clone Wars jump:

1. Post-jump, the perk does a hard U-turn from a passive, personal, defensive ability to an active, ranged, offensive ability. Is that supposed to apply when we visit your other SW jumps, or should it have the original effect?

Well, in any world with similar laws of physics to ours, you can't realistically get smaller than the femtoscale. There just isn't anything that small to make things out of, even femtotech itself is a stretch given how the particles at that scale behave. You also have the problem that as you get closer and closer to the Planck Length (the theoretical smallest size anything in the universe can be, about 10^-35 meters), quantum effects have stronger and stronger influences on your machine. Make something small enough and there is a very real chance of it undergoing spontaneous existence failure. Now, these might not be issues in worlds with more exotic physics, but very few works of fiction go in depth enough about the particle physics involved in them to say what happens when you get that small. So really, it's up to you to fanwank it. If you want to say you can build machines the size of a billionth of a femtometer made out of stable singularities and crystallized photons, that's fine. Just find a universe with some really weird physics to base that tech off of, first.

It's about on par with Fairy Tale or Strike Witches if that help you out. Nobody fucks, nobody gets naked, and while things are implied its as much for laughs as titilation.

Its mostly just Romance of the 3 Kingdoms with waifus, so it's Tohou in historical cosplay.

There's a perk in the Dodgeball jump that makes it so that people who would fall in love with you will just go for platonic love if you're not interested in them that way. Of course, that wouldn't help you if you are interested.

I didn't want a 600cp perk to be useless outside the Star Wars verse. If you're asking why the perk lets you cancel out psychic powers instead of just not being affected by them, that's just what I thought off at the time. However you could also interpret it as them just not affecting you like Force powers.

Thanks for the answer, quite informative to say the least! I'll probably stick to at most femtoscale tech based on what your saying. Maybe when I'm quite far in my chain will I start getting smaller, and thats still maybe. Perhaps I could use some highly accurate magic to see if I could keep my machines from falling apart when they get that small via reinforcement of some kind. Thanks again for the answer, much appreciated.

>Cho Aniki
+Gives you a great deal in the way of physical abilities, including 100% bodily control, conscious and unconscious functions.
-Campiest thing in chain.

>Symbiote
+Great deal of biological abilities, shapeshifting, absurd mental abilities, regen with immortality against natural causes, and boredom immunity. Great versatility in the power set if you do research. I suggest going grey matter and loading up on fused pair abilities.
-Might be uncomfortable with someone in your head, transhumanism, and USA being pants on head retarded.

>Sherlock Holmes
+Low risk, high return. Absurd amount of social/mental perks and one of a kind items with a bit of everything. Well balanced throughout.
-Never enough CP. Can hurt yourself if you go drawback heavy, and you will.

>Breaking Bad
+Make that dollar, intimidate, science, and run an empire.
-Drugs are bad, m'kay? Crime doesn't pay if you aren't streetwise.

>X-men
+Strong superpowers, some of the best in chain at what they do. Equally strong perks at a wide spread of what they do.
-If you take drawbacks or just don't like marvel I guess?

>Tortall
+Strong magical abilities, special eyes, great bow item, relatively safe unless you roll elves, strong abilities at commanding an army/spying/fighting for early on.
-Elves, and drawbacks are rather painful.

>Catastrophe
+Excellent altform early chain and gives benefits that persist in main form. Strong merchant/social/physical abilities.
-Might be a turn off if you don't like fluffy ears and tail. Or water.

>Wuxia
+Absurdly good kung fu that you won't find elsewhere. Neat items from myth. closest you'll find to a RoTK jump.
-Never enough CP, might get yo ass whupped or stabbed.

>Chronicles of Narnia
+Everything in there makes you want to buy it.
-Everything in there makes you want to buy it and drawbacks don't play around.

You mean that RPG setting that takes place on a planet that's so industrialized everything outside the main city of Mortis is so polluted it's uninhabitable?

Where sectors of Mortis have become so run down and dilapidated that they have been abandoned and taken over by cannibals, mutants, cannibal mutants and killer robots?

Gee, would I rather go there or to the world of pastel-haired pretty girls based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms

TOUGH CHOICE THERE.
>>
>>47601552
I've forced myself to pick the 17 that I really want. And then wound up loopholing in a few more.

See, I play by the personal interpretation that the 8 Companion (and x pod) rules are there to challenge me to find creative solutions, not absolute fiat.

So, when I find a solution like adding some additional companions (in this case, six shipgirls and 3 friends of some core companions) and importing them as 9 Demon Weapons in Soul Eater, and picking up two AI companions (Mitsuko from Archer and Giffany from Gravity Falls) and importing them as Intelligent Devices in Nanoha, so long as they're in weapon form when they leave the warehouse, Jump-chan allows it.

But yeah, I've limited myself to 8 Companions, 7 Pods, 1 Feather, 1 Sibling. (and then my weapon-companions) As well as two Doesn't-Count-As-Companions, GIR and Dethklok. Who are along as non-participants.

Eventually I'll be picking up the God of War Military Phalanx. Who are a non-companion summon who can be imported as a multiperson-single-slot import in future jumps for enhancement purposes.

Another way to get use out of idle past-limit companions is The Cavalry from disney princess, which lets you summon help, and it starts by drawing from unoccupied companions as appropriate.

Question dump time. Hope you get these tomorrow.

Approximately what kind of stats does Tall Enough get us? Is it basically an Elite Array? What would extra points get us?

Can we save our Capstone item discount for when we beat a Module?

If I start during a Module, do I have to complete it within ten years, or do I have to complete it within ten years of starting? Similarly, if I start before a Module begins, do I have to complete the module within ten years of hitting the earliest possible year?

Do Draconians count as dragons for the purposes of Greater Dragonlances? Either for suffering injuries or for riding on?

If we take Precarious Port, do we keep the powers of the race we purchased as described, or would it change based on the original port? As far as I can tell this only really matters for Draconians, who get some cool shit that gets toned down in later editions.

Can we take Prologue Peril if we're going to take the Glass Sea Module?

How long do the various shapeshifting powers last?

Two are alternate universe versions of each other, and in the first of those universes, I took the role of their canonical lover. Two other core companions are from that same setting. (and 3 Weapon-Companions on the same team)

Two were scenario-related spouses from the jumps where they originated.

7 of them are from some form of Japan, and Class-S Relationships being a thing there eases things along.

Beyond that, I've got a lot of Sekirei and Hareming perks piled up, they didn't all START as lovers, even when companioned, but integrated over time. On top of that, the Harem is built on a mesh topography, not a hub with me at the center. After a thousand years of world-hopping, everyone gets a little bit bisexual.

And, on top of all of that, thanks to Teen Titans and Metalocalypse, I have plenty of clones to go around. Nobody has to go wanting, nobody gets neglected, there's always a jumper around somewhere.

TL;DR: Tenchi is a scrub. Needs to step up his game and y'know EMBRACE the harem, instead of dodging and resisting it.

ACTUALLY, when complete, it'll be 19 individuals. But three of them will be the Sisters of Battle, I just haven't done LoT Yet. So, technically, Companion Slot #8 is sitting open.

Oh, and I just remembered another thing to make hareming more practical. I've got a servant-of-freya thing going in my jumps. So let's say I wanna save Kakyoin, Iggy, and Avdol with just stuff from:

>Pokemon Trainer
>Mystery Dungeon
>A:tlA and Legend of Korra
>Elder Scrolls (both)
>FFXIV (NOT taking the Scenario, screw fighting Ascians)
>Young Justice
>Touhou

Right now, my plan is to Lunar Dial just before Cream would hit Avdol, get him out of the way, then use Sunny Day, then resume time. Shoot Vanilla Ice with Auriel's Bow, and if he doesn't go down immediately HOPE using Lunar Dial again won't kill me or leave me unable to move. Then shoot him full of more Auriel's Bow arrows until he dies.

Any advice on refining this plan? I feel like scum already, resorting to Lunar Dial like this. That doesn't necessarily make it scummy, it just feels to me like I'm cheating. I could at least kind of lie and tell folks "oh it's just Hamon" concerning the rest. Is that bad?

Wait, has nobody made a build for this yet? Really?

Cocoon Master (900 CP): Most fun of the backgrounds. Not taking the free genderswap.

Skinner (800 CP): I don't care if this is just cosmetic, it's fun.

Hunter

Requiem of Souls (700 CP): Can't be a cocoon master without this one.

Disciple of Darkness (500 CP): Punching peoples' problems in the face! Gotta love it.

Companion: Nagi Maiden (400 CP): Well, Nagi Maid Guy. I don't want to fuck over a Companion, so I'll risk the black cocoons.

Instrument: Vuvuzela! Nah, just the standard flute.

Quality Equipment (-200 CP): Yes I'm fucking choosing Icicle. Divine Garb too - fast type rather than magic type.

Endless Corridor (-500 CP): Literally all of my want forever.

Deja Vu (-400 CP): Eh, it's part of the game.

Dream Man (-300 CP): I'm actually OK with this. Might as well have a real fight every so often.

Chosen One (0 CP): Yeah, sorry Levant, but it's my story this time.

Anyway, a bit of feedback. I don't think any item except Icicle and the Divine Garb are worth 600 CP, so it's a bit disingenuous to not just offer those. Remember, most people didn't play this game. I'd also suggest expanding on Minions a bit - what they can do, some basic examples, the four elemental system, etc.. Also, don't use Pokemon as an example.

I'd also really suggest changing the Purification capstone. I know the Purification's curse is a big part of the game, but it really fucks you or your companions over. Bare minimum, I'd suggest letting people pay extra to choose their cocoon's color.

Finally, your 200 CP drawbacks feel super samey. Maybe if you're following my advice on Purification, you can add it back in for 200 CP?

It's a good Jump, it just needs a bit of work to be a great one.

Pretty sure you are now a Grimm magnet.

They are atracted to negative emotions and now your soul has inhuman levels of anger just below the surface.

Not to mention the Inner Beast Yarnham Hunters have, even with the Haematophage perk.

As long as you dont do somehting dumb like going to the dragon continent to train madness you should be better than fine

I think that means that the dangers will show up every where rather than them not being a thing unless you take the drawback.

Not really driving other people towards it.

Every madness work differently.

Rage is more of the self/damage-enhacement kind.

Sadness/melancholy is more the debuffing kind...

Shinigami's madness of order can turn people into 'orderly'emotionless puppets. and Eibon once gave the MCs a feel of omniscience to stagger them.

You'll get a disease. Fuckin prions killing the Soylent Green dream.
>>
>>47604052
Humans taste like Pork, our flesh is extremely similar. It's why diseases transmit so easily between the two, and why you need to cook pork VERY thoroughly.

>>47604078
See above. If you are VERY careful with human meat, it SHOULD be safe to eat.
>>
>>47604052
Documented cannibals IRL generally say it tastes like pork, hence the term 'long pig' for human meat, but at least one guy says people taste like tuna.

>>47604078
Yeah, you gotta be careful with people meat. Avoid the brain and organs, go for the muscle, cook thoroughly and you /should/ be fine.

Still might die though.
>>
>>47604095
Which sucks, because the brain is the highest calorie part of the human body. In a survival situation, the brain should be the thing you want to eat first, but because of the risk of prions you can't go for it.

There are some genes that depending on what type you have, can provide resistance or immunity to prion diseases. While the prion itself is may be a problem if your body just metabolizes it from what you eat, the true problem of the disease actually comes from the fact that if the prion interacts with healthy proteins to turn them into prions. However if you have certain variants of of certain genes, your proteins(such as they are made by that gene) will resist this effect preventing the spread of the prions and their destructive effects. Though honestly I'm not sure how the prions are destructive, it could in fact just be that the prions don't do the job they would as proteins, leaving you deficient, or they could have an actively damaging effect.
>>
>>47604235
Yes, I don't give a fuck what it is Hannibal Lector is canonically an amazing chef.

No it wouldn't, while humans and pigs share a strange number of similarities, the type of fat we have is quite different. If I recall correctly, human subcutaneous fat is actually closer to duck fat, and we don't store as much fat inside muscles as many other animals. Effectively even a rather fat human would have rather lean muscles when it comes to use as bacon.
>>
>>47604235
No, but only because I don't trust him to cook a meal that's right for himself, not me. He's on MAOIs as part of his therapy, and yet he insists on cooking meals of liver, fava beans, and red wine. That could give him a heart attack. No, I'm going to stop him before he's served anything and cook up a new dish that's properly healthy for him. A nice roasted arm accompanied by new potatoes and asparagus, with just water to drink. You have to take better care of yourself, Hannibal, you're not a young man anymore.

Certain Classes or Stats, or other unknown factors allow you access to more Advanced Classes after a certain point, some of which, or even a combo of them, can allow you access to Elite Classes.

Classes have 15-level max, Advanced Classes have 10-level max, Elite Classes have 5-level max.

The Heteromorphic races have Racial Classes that work the same way.

Supposedly the Powerful and hard to figure out Classes were kept secret by the various Guilds, so that they could have an edge against one another.
>>
>>47604765
I'm asking about a perk that lets me ignore that requirement in general. Like how there are perks that let arcane casters ignore rituals or spell components, or at least lessen the requirement.
>>
>>47604778
Varies depending on the setting.

and

are both part of a greater 100 level system that makes builds super freaking diverse.

I'm still sad that I couldn't get Automation though. Clicking I'm not a Robot after that statement, makes me smile a little.

I imagine most Level 100/Realm of Heros people found one of these classes.

Thanks I'll check it out.

I kind of hope they make a video game out of this. It seems like a neat system.

The flavor is of fat and sugar, while the rest of it is largely air, whipped in for consistence, and water, as truly a large number of things are. Besides if you were to drink it you would be drinking sugary milk or cream, not exactly a low calorie drink.
>>
>>47604782
Let me get this straight: you want a perk that allows casters, who get power from their god(s) by asking the god(s) nicely, to not need to ask?

I dunno about perks, but in D&D that's a prestige class named the Ur-Priest.
>>
>>47604804
>World Disaster Ulbert Alain Odle Very powerful magic Job
>Only 50 people had this Job

What the fuck? No wonder the Guilds kept Builds secretive.
>>
>>47604827
Hmm, could be true, my time up here has seen people mostly eating it because they're depressed and need a pick up.
>>
>>47604830
Yes. That class is nice and all, but it needs to be a perk, so it can be applied to other settings.

Yeah, the Rare Classes were insane. World Disaster apparently had a power/spell able to whip a full 60% of Ulbert Alain Odle's, a deadicated 100 level caster's, MP in one go. This is someone like Ainz who literally spent thirty minutes just on buffs.

>>47604872
Multi-Classing is very common from what we understand. Her stats as we know them are...

Total Level 63
Racial Level Doppelgänger (1)
Job Level
Fighter (1)
War Wizard (10)
Elementalist: Air (10)
Armored Mage (10)
etc (31)
>>

So yeah. People with both Level 100 and Realm of Heros HAVE to have gotten at least one of the "only a limited number of people can have this" classes, and one of the "can only access at level 95" classes. Along with their other "bullshit combination of classes" stuff.

It's the focus. Science is awesome, but there's a lot of different branches, and geologists may not find biology particularly interesting, for example. I nerd out a lot about robots and bioweapons and tearing things apart... but I'm not that into spaceships and space travel.
To me, space is just a big thing that separates me from other things, and it's kindof annoying and should be traversed as quickly as possible.

Kerbals on the other hand are into space for space sake. They love to float around in space and explode and rubberband around stars.
Being a Kerbal myself for the duration of the jump probably mitigates my disinterest a bit, and I doubt I'll be completely absent, but controlling the whole operation just isn't it for me.

If anything, I think I'd find the idea of "building comfortable living conditions on the spaceship" to be MORE fun than the actual spaceship.
I'd also genuinely be interested in building floating cities and space stations. That sounds neat. That's probably a thing.

I was always the kindof person who, while playing the Sims, spent hours designing the perfect house and then got annoyed when people would move in and mess everything up.
When doing science for other people in jumps, I tend to follow a "fire and forget" mentality, or put someone else in charge to micromanage.

...
My Bowser knows some basic engineering bits simply by virtue of hanging around me a lot, but mostly he's just Bowser.
Regular slightly fatter than canon Bowser.
>>

>>47604969
To Be Fair. The guild itself was full of cool people, their NPCs were just designed as Evil for fun, and because one of them(the one who made demiurge) was a Chuunibyou.

Also there was "meta" in-game that Players who played Heteromorphic Races were Evil by default, despite that not actually being true.
>>
Has any one ever thought of doing a chain with different rules that normal?

Things like you have to buy all perks of a certain type, you can only buy perks with a certain theme, you start each jump with less points, you start each jump with more points, you ignore drawback limits, you can't take any drawbacks. . . .
>>
>>47604951
There's the Use Magic Device skill in D&D, it can do most of what Use Any Magic Item can, especially if you get into Epic ranks. http://www.d20srd.org/srd/skills/useMagicDevice.htm
>>
>>47605016
That was something I played around with, and will continue to play around with, with Secundo.
>>
>>47604998
Hmm, I would hazard a guess that a Level 100 with RoH would be needed to have that class as well, given that Touch Me was actually really freaking powerful, if I recall correctly.
>>
>>47605040
I think he was the Top-player in the guild, and one of the top-five players in the Game.
So yeah, he was powerful.
>>
>>47605016
I have my own format where there are no drawback limits and you start with no points, like a gantlet where you keep all your powers. Also have a list of drawbacks that fit any setting to go along with this (some jumps don't have enough drawbacks to fit it).
>>
>>47604982
/joke and the real answer is I don't think so.
Try getting Warlock Class from a D&D realm?

>>47604966
He's also a damn good coordinator of large scale operations, just shit at sustaining momentum over long hauls and not really tolerable at the whole 'fighting plumbers' thing.

>>47604998
>>47605040
Touch-Me was a god in Charisma and combat, seriously he apparently was able to make all 40 other guild mates agree with him, often. Anyone who has ever led a Guild in WoW or Guild Wars can tell you. That. IS. Hard.

>>47605050
He was in the top percentile in all Tourneys and PvP, so yeah. Guy earned the World Champion title against people like Ainz, who BTW was only in the top ten percent. Said he was being kind to himself, at that. The Novels paint Touch-Me-san as an unadulterated badass, Ainz's memories may be colored a little but facts were facts given by the author.
>>
>>47605099
Not only was Touch Me-San a badass. He was also a Winner in Life. With a loving wife and child.
>>
>>47605111
Every member of Ainz Ooal Gown was required to be a productive member of society.
>>
>>47605137
Yes, but even Ainz describes him with those words "a winner at life".
And being a productive member of society is not the same as having a Loving Family.

Many Japanese people are productive members of society, without a family at all.
>>
>>47605137
>>47605150
Indeed. I believe Ainz himself spent so much of his money on cash shop items because the game was his life outside of work.
>>
>>47605111
>>47605137
Yep, though the Guild was actually all well adjusted people, a requirement of the Guild was to not be a NEET. You had to be a bread winner or GTFO.

"Saving someone in trouble is common sense" Touch-Me to Momonga

>>47605150
Ainz was describing the fact that Touch-Me married a beautiful wife out of mutual Love, something fairly rare apparently. He was also a smart and handsome man in real life, Sabas Tian is a physical duplicate of the man.
>>
>>47605182
I wouldn't kill the guy who made Shalltear well adjusted.

Sounds like a paraphrase of "Peace first, Society second and Entertainment third" to me. Honestly not a bad outlook to have.
>>
>>47605222
Being a productive member of society basically just meant they couldn't be NEETs. They had to have a job or be a student or do something other than play vidya all day.
>>
>>47604931
You're going to spook the fuck out of Ainz and company, is what's gonna happen.

Especially at jump 569.
>>
>>47605099
> He's also a damn good coordinator of large scale operations, just shit at sustaining momentum over long hauls and not really tolerable at the whole 'fighting plumbers' thing.
This is true!

Bowser's character is kindof interesting, if you look at his childhood combined with his portrayal in RPGs and interactions with his son. He's basically a spoiled brat who's always had people give him whatever he wants, was king by birthright, and became a huge musclebound bully.
But by all accounts Kamek and his minions do all truly care for him, and he picked up on that, so he in turn cares about them, and so cares for his son and gives him whatever he wants like what happened to him, just with the caveat that "Bowser is always Top Dog".
He's a little doofy, but so are most of the people in Mario, so he manages okay.
And being raised as the Koopa King, he got really adept at ordering people around. But he's used to instant gratification, so, yeah, he's not great at lengthy campaigns, or dealing with things that go wrong.
He's a doofy, gooey, musclebound spoiled brat. But he's an okay guy deep down.

Anyway, as his caretaker in Yoshi's Island, I did nothing to change any of that. If anything, I spoiled him more in a stereotypical mothering fashion. Hence MY Bowser is a little fatter than canon, and he calls me Nana.
And he grew up around ME, so he's been exposed to a lot more SCIENCE! and engineering, and is maybe a little bit more theatrical.
But he's still an absolute tank.
>>
>>47605182
Guess I should change my build and not take that perk then, ha.
>>
>>47605222
Peroroncino was awesome and his sister made him uncomfortable because she was a voice actress in some of his favorite H-Games.

Hilarious.

>>47605254
>>47605261
I agree with both of these sentiments. Ainz spent an apparently ridiculous amount of money on the Cash Shop often, and the game basicly was his life outside his work. Though he was a fairly cool dude he was obsessed with YGGDRASYIL and the Guild in particular.

On the subject of the Jump, getting Ainz to follow you wouldn't be that hard, as the Guild worked mostly on a voting system and he merely managed the finances and stuff. The guy is an insanely lucky, skilled as well, manager and a skilled tactican, though not on the level he often seems as the front he puts up hides the fact that his luck stat IRL is really high.

>>47605282
Armstrong Nanomachines Giga-Bowser's tantrums must be annoying to deal with. BTW your cute side is showing again.
>>
>>47605325
Not just his favorite H-Games. His favorite Character Archetype, the Lolis.
>>
>>47605279
I dunno. I don't exactly have a guild of- Oh wait, Companions.

Yeah my mere existence might spark some shit. Again. God damn it.
>>
>>47605339
I'm laughing so hard it hurts. Yeah he was a cool dude, and his sister made the Dark Elf Twins just to screw with him via Gap Moe and some other twisted shit, so she's cool in my books too.

BTW Justice you should use Pic Related as your avatar, IMHO, Background says 'Justice has Arrived.'

Thinking about it the Overlord (LN/M/A) would be a great first jump. Just get Level One-Hundred at the theme is curb-stomp battle the anime, really.
