You'd have to homebrew it.

Personally, I would go for around 20-25 points for +1 S, T, and W. Call it a Big Boss upgrade or something and have it be a 1 of upgrade in the army. Probably mutually exclusive with a warbike.

>"Because the Commissar will shoot us if we are not sniper."
>"Da. But why need for snipers in first place? Why need for Guard in first place? Why can Mankind just not live in peace with self? Then no need for us to be sniper."
>"Because Mankind is not only being in galaxy, Lipinski. Other beings whisper lies in ear of men, and convince them to rebel against glorious Emperor. As long as other beings exist, Mankind cannot know peace."
>"...Da. But what happens when Mankind wipe out other beings? What if Mankind looks at self in mirror one day and realizes it cannot tell difference between other beings and man, like old book about swine and human on Agri-World?"
>"That is why Emperor protects, Lipinski. As long as we believe in Emperor, there is no need to fear the shadow in ourselves, because Emperor protects us from ourselves so that we may protect others in His stead."
>"...Da. You are right, Ivanov. I drank too much Catachan amasec last night, and it made me think too much on self. Being Sniper is best."

>>
>>47550196
Everyone that bought or will buy Raging Heroes or Grishnak models would buy GW models if they were the same price and quality. That's hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of product. Which is why it's stupid that they haven't done it. There's no possible way that they could lose money by updating SoB.

Although at this point they should probably just buy up the Grishnak molds and probably hire the sculptor. There's no way updated official GW models will look better than that.

Once a week is pretty normal. I end up playing anywhere between once a week to once a month.
>>
>>47550713
Oh yeah. Well, you still get a few inches over normal rapid-fire.

You could also sit the volley guns on the objectives and not move them while the rest of the dudes go and kill people. In a team. A kill team, if you will.
>>
>>47550086
>it's the Grishnak shill episode

Look, they're nice models, but so are the Raging Heroes ones. No need to shit on a company actually bothering to do proxy models. The range RH does seems to be larger than Grishnak and have the bonus of having English sites to buy from. I can't find any English, easy to use, sites for Grishnak but there we go.

I'll admit, it's not easy being green.
I'm not going to say that I regularly curbstomp Tau and Eldar.
The key is use your units tactically and not go full retard mode.

Usually what I do is bring a unit of 18 boyz with a painboy and a warboss in a battlewagon, 2-3 units of boyz in trukks and a MANz missile or two depending on the point value. You can support with whatever you like based off personal taste (I personally like lootas, Warbikers,or blitza-bommers)
Fire off the Manz missile(s) and the battlewagon at whatever you want to die, and use the trukk boyz as your swiss army knife.

Now this tactic won't work 100% of the time and will require tailoring against certain metas, but I've won about 60-70% of games with this tactic.

Also play objectives

You can never truly lose with Orks, because as long as you had fun you've won

Really? I had thoughts (I discussed with another anon few days ago) of removing the Sky Ray and 3 Broadsides (195, so ignore the targeting systems). Then adding one Riptide with Ion Accelerator (185) and x2 Crisis Suits with Fusion Blasters with Shield Drones.

I think that's 998, but I can't remember. My hope was that HYMP would deal with infantry, with the ATS ones sniping units, while the HRR ATS Broadsides sniped tank Squadrons (at least, I hope that's how Precision Strikes works against vehicle squadrons, would really only matter against Imperial Guard and maybe Space Marines). With the Sky Ray shooting down aircraft. Pathfinders are essentially 8 Marketlights each when Broadsides use them, so boost them to BS5 (max usefulness) and Ignore Cover (assuming it needs it).
>>
>>47551430
I only think it's 1000 marines in the sense of 10 companies of 100.
Because there's also the Librarians, the Techmarines, the apothecaries, the command squads, the honor guard, and some other people I'm probably forgetting.

The only way vespid will be good is if they are updated and then they'll be changed to jetpack unit, 4+, with a ranged S5 AP3 assault 3 weapons rending and a copy of battle focus.

But what I really want is more kroot units, kroot riders, kroot with wings, knarlocs, new types and more units.
>>
>>47551498
That's why I'm asking, I couldn't save it, I for one I'm pretty hyped myself.
>>
>>47551455
If you take a riptide, take the Heavy Burst Cannon. At 1000 points you won't be facing much that the rate of fire won't be able to deal with, so the ion accelerator just puts you at risk of blowing up
I'd say no to the fusion suits since the heavy rail rifles should be enough to do your anti-amor work. It would depend on the list you fight though.
Consider missile drones for the missile-sides if you make room for them

Right, as I said in another post, my friend is a wargame board maker. He does custom boards. They were going to be dirt cheap too, £65 for a water feature 2x2 square, but they lost their cheap Chinese supplier and it's rocketed up to £100+.

Anyway, he's doing a Ork board for a client and the client wants Ork fungus, but he (the board maker) isn't too sure about the Ork fungus design and he is struggling to find references.

Anybody able to help out or give views on this current board?

I'm trying to convince my buds to let me run corsairs every once in a while instead of straight Dark Eldar, but apparently to them Corsairs "only bring the best of the 2 Eldar codexes", and apparently Craftworlders are weaker than Corsairs because Corsairs have better wargear, psyker powers, everything. I've tried reasoning with them that part of Craftworld's probelems are formations, too, which I'm not aware that Corsairs have any. What can I tell them to convince them that Corsairs are strong, but not CWE cheese? I've already told them about the harder regroups/LD checks. I really just think they're stuck in the "Forgeworld stuff is automatically broken" mindset.

So does 40k have a meta game where someone busts out a sweet list, posts it online, and then other people copy it for tournaments?

Or are meta games more isolated to whatever store you play at.

Like did someone post a sweet Ork list online and every ork player you come across plays it?

HQ: Fireblade (60)
Troop: x5 Fire Warriors (45)
Troop: x5 Fire Warriors (45)
Heavy: x1 Riptide with Advanced Targeting System (183)

Sub-Total (330)

Formation: Ranged Support Cadre
x4 Pathfinders (44)
x4 Pathfinders (44)
x4 Pathfinders (44)
x2 Broadsides with HYMP and x2 Missile Drone Each (178)
x2 Broadsides with HYMP and x2 Missile Drone Each (178)
x2 Broadsides with Heavy Rail Rifle and x2 Missile Drone Each (178)

Total: 999 (I think)

I can mix the Broadside load outs depending on who I get. I put the ATS on the Riptide mainly due to having spare points, but since it's able to do 8 shots standard (or 12 with Nova) the Precision Shots could help down heavy weapon guys. Though I dunno if this works, long time since I read the exact rules for Precision Shots. I just thought 8 S6 AP4 shots was neat, since it's likely one will hit a 6 every turn. If I Nova Charge, should be statistically 2 6's, meaning 2 Precision Shots, which could then Rending (though unlikely) which could end pesky Heavy Weapon guys.

But, who knows, not really smart and I can't remember shit.

I'll be completely honest with you, anon. I made the mistake of taking Grey Knights as my first army. They called to me like they did you. They are EXTREMELY unforgiving for new players. You will lose A LOT. They were also really gutted with their update form 5th to 7th. Currently the massive increase in point-per-model they have in comparison to regular Space Marines is completely unwarranted. They've got BEAUTIFUL minis, which seems to be the trade off for being terrible on the table.

But, if I cannot sway you away from them for now, a typical set up is:

Librarian, 10-20 Terminators, 2 Dreadknights, and if you have the points, either 5-10 Purifiers or 5-10 Interceptors. If you're feeling manly, add Draigo. Those units listed above are basically our only truly viable units in the codex.

The next releases for 40k are:

Codex: Genestealers
Codex: Deathwatch
Thousand Sons Rubric Marines
Warzone: Fenris Part 2 (linked with 1k Sons)
Chaos Space Marine revamp (pictures of new models have been seen).

So quit fucking whining.

>>47553182
Rightly so. AoS with tournament rules could be neat as fuck. But 40k is their flagship thing and are getting some serious love.

FW has done 13 Imperial Armours, some in several editions, with Imperial Armour 14 out this year as well. Warhammer Fantasy got 2 (TWO) books. Monstrous Arcanum Volume 1 and Tarmurkhan. They had a 3rd, Battle for Blackfire Pass, but they scraped it when Monstrous Arcanum and WHFB didn't do very well.

40k is heavily supported, way more than WHFB was. AoS will eventually die or level out.

GW used to release every month. It's now every week and people are STILL thirsty for new stuff. It blows my mind. People crave new stuff, then buy from Chinese recasters. Anyway, there is 40k stuff this week, with the Deathstorm Nid models being release. Next week is likely Codex: Genestealers or the Wood Elves (or whatever) for AoS. Either way, I read CSM major update (see; >>47551380 >>47551248)
>>
>>47553304
Well, as I said, apparently models have been seen, but were deleted quick smart. I can't find them in the archive, but I believe deleted files disappear. If they don't, then it never happened, but I don't know.

The CSM revamp was rumoured for this year. With Warzone: Fenris Part 2 happening 99% chance this year, it's likely Thousand Sons will be involved. Which is where the supposed new models come in.

Unless that anon comes back with the pictures or somebody else leaks them, we're fucked, but don't give up hope, anon. My hope is SoB vs CSM Warzone campaign. Maybe with Catachan as well with Marbo appearing.

Dude, you weren't even in the threads I was talking about. The discussion in those threads was about Canis who in the second short story had violent encounter with a Herald of Khorne and his scene ended with the Herald's sword coming down for the killing blow. It was revealed in the sequential short story that he was saved by the Iron Hands.

Everyone knows the Logan won't die because he is present on Cadia in 999 41K with Ragnar and Ulrik. Canis, Redmaw, Krom have no fluff that confirms that they survived the "Curse of the Wulfen" event (as far as I know) so there is a chance that some of them won't make it.

I have the same reaction to SoB, anon. Also, I'd like some female Imperial Guard sprues. I want to make a medical heal slut.

>>47553363
I did, but FW removed those models due to them being old and busted. Plus, who gives a fuck about them? Suits or bust is their moto.

>>47553381
I'm speculating, because while WHFB was 'attractive' to new players, it had a steep learning curve (relative to 40k), require much more money investment (40k army can be as little as 40 models, WHFB armies can be hundreds) and was legally fucked (you can't copyright the word 'Empire' or 'Orcs'). So, they rebooted it, allowing for ease of entry and make it legally sound(er).

It is an introduction game. The tournament rules, I suspect, are for grognards. If it fails, it fails, at least GW tried. I'm happy to buy AoS stuff for the models as I like Lizardmen and modelling anyway. If I ever get a chance to play AoS, I'll do so, but my guess is i won't.

40k is hugely popular and I guss WHFB was just a leaking product which didn't bring back what it cost (lots of reasons why), but now can be played with 1 model or 100. Allowing people to get into the hobby and, more importantly, moving onto 40k and spending money.

>>47553414
What do YOU want then, anon? Tau? Then Imperial Armour 14 is for you. Ad Mech? Same applies. Imperial Guard? I believe the same as the other two.

They're OK, but I agree. Give me 2 female torso options, like they did for Dark Elves, I'll be happy. I think they also did for Dark Eldar. Otherwise I have to buy units from 3rd party proxy groups.

>>47553459
Eldar just got IA11 update, which gave more units and Corsair special rules. Necrons and Orks are 'behind', I agree, but the chances are they'll be next year. As for SoB? So irrelevant it doesn't matter. GW is happy to keep mentioning them to renew the IP license and have them die at regular interviews (Warzone Fenris, for example) to remind us they still exist. Which is cruel, as it shows us they know they exist, but don't do anything with them.

I remember a tripfag said that plastic sisters were 100% this year. He's not returned since. What's the guesses that they'll come out this year? Would you bet money on it?

>I remember a tripfag said that plastic sisters were 100% this year. He's not returned since. What's the guesses that they'll come out this year? Would you bet money on it
no.
We've had sisters are 100% this year rumours every year for the last decade or so.

I wouldn't put any stock in sisters rumours unless they come with leaked pics of models or rules.
>>
>>47553516
The problem with tables like that is, there is always a superior selection choice. Back in the old days of WHFB, Slann could choose disciplines. In 7th, you could choose several. One made you a Lore Master, so you knew every single spell of a specific lore. That meant you took Lore of Life and gave the Slann and his unit of 20 Temple Guard +4T, 4+ Regeneration and so on. Making them T8 and very hard to kill. Plus other fun stuff like becoming Ethereal (immune to all non-magical attacks).

So, yeah, it sucks, but you end up going "if I take this, I'm gimping myself" and if you don't and you go "oh I took Crazy Crazy Mind trait because in M38.384 he went mad when his..." and your opponent tells you to shut the fuck up he doesn't give a shit about your autism special snowflake.

/tg/ itself shits on people who come up with background for their HQ's as it is.
>>
Would you like the return/introduction of special rules (think chapter tactics )for Imperial Regiments,Warbands, Klans, Septs, Craftworlds and so on?
>>
>>47553566
This is what I said. I got attacked by couple of people and the tripfag said

>b-b-but I'm reliable! I've never been wrong! Check the archive!

Which is about as stupid as going

>I've never killed anybody in my life, so I totally won't do it in the future!

I wish I could remember his name so I could find the archive post. I literally said SoB has been "totally this year 100% for plastics" for a decade, alongside "GW is totally dying this year for realsies!".
>>
>>47553573

literally formation special rules
>>
>>47553527
Doubtful that plastic sisters are happening, though there are at least some projects going on that should offer some resin alternatives.
>>
>>47553573
>Regiments

Not sure on the differences, so I can't say

>Warbands

Yes, chapter tactic equivilents for legions fits well here

>Klans

Ork Klans are usually more defined by unit composition, so I think formation special rules are the better fit here

>Septs

Septs aren't overly distinct as is, so I'd prefer getting more actual fluff on them before trying to make specific rules for them all.

>Craftworlds

I think the recent Imperial Armor edition for Eldar did this nicely with the Pale Courts battlehost. You get a core formation that consists of some beneficial rules based on what units you decide on for your Craftworld theme. Again, similar to Orks in that they're more defined by units rather than the specific craftworld. Ideally, Orks would get something similar.
>>
>>47553586
I've always said, a neat idea, if i was GW, would be a board game like Execution Force/Deathwatch Ignition/BaC.

Have it SoB vs Chaos.

x1 Canoness (or Palatine)
x10 Battle Sisters
x5 Seraphim
x5 Dominators
x5 Retributors
x5 Repentia

and then an army of like

x1 Daemon Prince
x5 Bloodletters
x5 Plague Bearers
x5 Flamers
x5 Daemonettes
x10 CSM
>>
>>47553615
Make the Chaos army Word Bearers for battle of the bible thumpers and that'd be a fun set.
>>
>>47553615
I feel like that's a bit too many different models for a boardgame, though I do like the idea of them bringing back plastic sisters that way.

Better yet, Sisters of Battle vs. Eldar. Plastic Sisters and Plastic Aspect warriors.

>Septs aren't overly distinct as is, so I'd prefer getting more actual fluff on them before trying to make specific rules for them all.

Sure they are. T'au is baseline, Vior'la is warlike, N'Dros is sneaky, Kel'shan has a mad-scientist/rogue earthcaste scientist that is making experimental weapons like Hazard suits, Riptide variants, Supremacy suits, and so on.

If Tau were given the amount of writefaggotry GW gave space marines, septs would be about as different as salamanders or raven guard.

Sister of Battle vs Brettonia - the battle of extinction!
>>
>>47553774
I suppose what I meant more is that they each typically have a single-line blurb saying they're angry or sneaky, which isn't much to go off of.

Giving them more detail would help, but it still wouldn't quite be to marine-level differences, as Tau tactics are still a bit more adaptive to the situation. Even the book calls out that the various colors of septs represented are typically from a specific battle where it was effective camo.

That said, having a blurb for each on popular units would help. Stuff like 'Vior'la typically prefers Carbine and Breachers for its fire warrior squads' or 'This sept excels in the production of railgun technology, and thus those weapons are more common on their pathfinders and heavy platforms'.

As it stands they don't really have enough to go on.

Cancer.

Honestly, Vespids are already good, but drop their points by about 3 or so, and they will be fine.

Or give them furious charge. They are built to smash into shooting units, but their statline means they wont ever dent them. Upping their strength by 1, just on the charge, would go a long way.

Rending melee attacks would be nice. Pointless on the gun, you don't need vespids to be good at dealing with 2+ saves.

I just look at them, and get the feeling that I should be charging with them. Yet aside from charging guardsmen and a few select Eldar units, I can't think of any target that thry are worth charging into.

I6 does help, though. I have managed to break a CSM squad with them before, and their Initiative 4 meant they were piss easy to run down. HoW and a bunch of attacks that got lucky, and his MoT didn't do shit.
>>
>>47554284
Doesn't sound like it honestly. It seems pretty swell, Sigmar just has that "You have these duties but if you do something whacked out like become corrupt then you'll remember what it feels like to be a nail". Corrupt like corrupt politicians not CHAOS.
>>
>>47554318
I wasn't talking about Rending for the gun, just melee. AP 3 is already solid enough and I don't even think having Rending confers it to ranged weapons.

Rending on melee attacks fits with what they have. Like you said, Initiative 6 is good for CC, and they've also got decent Weapon Skill. Along with Hit & Run, Fleet, and being Jump infantry, they feel a lot like they want to be in assault, but don't do very well in there.

Rending gives a nice boost that would let them fire a bunch of AP 3 shots into a Marine squad, charge in, deal more damage, and either finish them or Hit & Run out next turn.

Still probably not as points-efficient as a Plasma Crisis team, but at least they'd have a purpose.

>Are Tau still OP on the tabletop?

They're top tier. Eldar have surpassed them in overall power and Marines have caught up to them. Still very strong though.
>>
>>47554168
Possible. I had hoped to table the majority of the enemy and then grab the objectives with my FW.

Then again, if I wanted to table my enemy, I could just take

HQ: Fireblade (60)
Troops: x5 Fire Warriors and DS8 Tactical Support Turret (55)
Troops: x5 Fire Warriors (45)
Elite: x1 Riptide with Ion Accelerator with Stim-Inject and Velocity Tracker (240)
Lord of War: KX139 Supremacy Armour (600)

Total: 1000

Yes. I know it's OP, cheesey and unfair, but that's probably what a 'tabler' list would be like at 1,000.

So, would you recommend dropping the Sky Ray or Broadsides the most? I need 3 units of Broadsides for the special rule. Sky Ray would give me 115 more points. Allowing me another two x5 man squad Fire Warriors. With 25 points spare. I could then put Advanced Targeting Systems on all my Broadsides for BS5 Twin-Linked Ignores Covers Precision Shots. It'd also give me a few points left over, but nothing special. Might possibly get another system in there.

Or I could make one of the Broadsides capable of AA with Velocity Tracker and Early Warning Override. On either of the Broadside variants should be enough to take down one flyer?

>>47554302
I'd agree with this if I didn't know that Chaos winning WHFB was preordained from like 3rd edition. 1st and 2nd edition WHFB barely had any fluff. WHFB was always about holding back the darkness and Storm of Chaos was the "let's end it" moment and the public just went "fuck it, Chaos deserve to lose" so they lost in the public vote. Something GW never repeated. I'm going to keep my eye on it simply cause the models so far for it have been neat. The Orc Wyvern is great and the Boar Rider makes me want Cyboars back for Orks. As for the fluff, I'm sure it'll progress at some point to make you care. It's hard to make you care about something only 10 months old.
>>
>>47554342
if they upped the points to 20ppm and let them choose between jump infantry rules once per turn and jet infantry rules they would be worth

right now you run a huge risk by exposing yourself to a unit and if you roll badly you are risking so many points in such a weak unit and dont have much chance of getting them out

you have plenty of pathfinders for markerlights, so drop the skyray and maybe one MODEL of broadsides (you only need 3 units, not 3 models in each unit), then just slap seeker missiles on your broadsides and use the rest for more infantry

The problem with Total War is corruption. It's the most stupid thing ever. "Oh go fight in this quest battle for your armour Thorgrim, it just so happens that you walk slow as fuck due to being a dwarf even with +10% bonus AND on March stance and that means 6 turns in 50%+ Chaos/Vampire so enjoy that 10% attrition loss a turn while Archaon and Co are marching around".

It is mega fun though. Demigryph Knights look awesome and are OP as fuck. The main gripe? Every hero has their main weapon on their model, but don't use it because of 'honour' or some shit in the quests to unlock it... But they stil lhave it in battle. Give them a fucking alt model. I also want each hero to change when I equip different shit to it.

Nope, Brets are dead and gone, that's just an excuse to use their models in Sigmar.

Latest fluff is other than a faction that found it's way to Sigmar most of Brettonia got taken by Nagash and turned in to ghouls. In flesh eater courts you have ghouls pretending to be Arthurian knights as the true descendants to Brettonia which would be pretty cool if it wasn't AoS shit.

I would personally cut out the Sky Ray and switch one of the broadside teams over to anti-air, while also cutting a suit from that squad.

Two skyfire missile suits would be plenty of anti-air, and that should free up a good amount of points for other stuff.

Some more mobile units wouldn't go amiss, particularly things with anti-tank firepower. Your Pathfinders will be rather vulnerable without other targets to distract from them, so consider some other close range units to help guard them.

>>
>>47554408
>Latest fluff is other than a faction that found it's way to Sigmar most of Brettonia got taken by Nagash and turned in to ghouls.

Wrong.

The Ghouls are degenerate survivors of the kingdoms of the mortals realms that were cutbstomped by Chaos. These survivors that did not bow down to Chaos, fled to the cursed wastelands and eventually degenerated into Ghouls. The Abhorrant Ghoul Kings found these Ghouls and infected them with their madness. Thus were created the Ghoul Kingdoms and their courts.

Also, the upkeep in the game is stupidly high. I did one game with it and then modded it out. I want to fight, not spend (albeit, quicker than Attila/Rome) turns trying to gather dosh to build X so I can get Y.

Also, the game is so fucking sexy. The detail gone into each area is great. The Dwarf Holds are so good in 'the flesh'.

>>47554431
>Also, the Orc Wyvern, I was wondering, proxy as a Deff Dread for Snakebitez?

I've looked into this thing specifically for conversions. It's way too big for a Deff Dread. The thing comes with a base that's about the size of one on an Imperial Knight.

The thing is better suited to being a Battlewagon or the like instead of a Dread. I would suggest a superheavy, but it's not tall enough for that.

That's a great idea. If I could convert some Orks to hold onto the side of it, that'd be neat as fuck. Shame Orks don't have any flying transports to the best of my knowledge.

I'm hoping for more sexy Lizardmen for the, my personal belief, inevitable Exodite Eldar release. It's going to happen, just depends on when. While I'm sad WHFB has gone, I think it was inevitable, but at least I can enjoy the new models. I like this, like say you have a sneaky Sept and the culture has bred 2 divergent paths. There's Tech vs Skill. On one side you have the Fire Warriors, Pathfinders etc who have trained alongside kroot allies and have developed physical sneaking skill. The art of hiding in plain sight, movement, physical camouflage, misdirection etc, Solid Snake style.

On the other you have the Stealthsuit and Ghostkeel corps along with other stealth tech-users who rely on their gear to simply go from A to B who aren't really that good at physical sneaking or other skills because techn might have dulled them.

When GW eventually drops Fire Warrior 2 starring a Tau cadre of operators operating operationally, our faction will get a bunch of /k/ nerds. Pulse blasters in action would be fucking great, though.

I just hope in Fire Warrior 2 they don't make Tau weapons the default and therefore inferior weapon option. The first one has you looting a bunch of imperial weapons.

Also, Crisis suit segments would be sweet.

I don't play fantasy so maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but how come 40k Orks don't get Black Orks or an equivalent?

Where's the squad of giant, hulking super-orks? Nobz don't quite cut it.

Or make the default weapons not-shit.

That IS nobs and partly the Goff klan.

Big surly orks that favour black and lead lesser orks.

Black orcs arent all that super.
They have a S and LD over regular boys, and a single LD over "Big 'Uns" (The big Core orcs.)

Firewarrior 2 (not that it'll ever happen) should have the protagonist wind up behind enemy lines with no weapon. They'd have to scavenge a lasgun before moving up to bolters and then finally getting pulse weaponry when they reunite with the Tau army.

Or make it a battlesuit game, maybe even with one similar to Shadowsun's suit, and let us switch out different weapons for different missions.

Why 2 different ones?
>drop behind enemy lines
>scavenge shit from imperials
>finally find proper weapons stashed away in a box full of tech heresy
>pulse weapons with your choice between rifle, carbine or blaster
>keep fighting your way through the enemies
>finally get to escape when marines show up
>get promoted because you did so well, and be gifted a crisis or stealth suit for your actions
>get thrown back in with your new toys to fuck shit up.
>pre-battle suit, you get honors that make you better and specialized (basically a choice between straight up shooter, or a more stealth, pathfinder-ish type, or a more close range blaster type.
>post-battle suit, you retain the abilities you got earlier, but now gain suit upgrades and weapons/support systems instead.

Raging Heroes has some respectable SoB stuff, & for 10 buxx cheaper than Grishnak for 5. They also have a wider range of models, so you can fill out characters, sergeants, & HQs easily. Additionally, given how cheesecake some of GW's sculpts were (Repentia), RH didn't really overstep in that area.

I can see some argument with the pose that many RH figs have, though: sassy hip sway left & right.

I'm planning on buying some of both, though, since I've only considered an Imperial army if it were Sisters & only if they were plastic & decently priced. This way, I can play the army without rewarding GW for stuffing Orks, CSM, & Tyranids into a locker.

It's an alpha and Relic is doing it just to make people angry.

We are currently playing a lot of 500 point zone mortalis in my area. Since a lot of them are played on Space Hulk-ish battlefields (small corridors, a few large open spaces, doors, etc.) I was thinking of making a Genestealer heavy army.

What would you guys suggest? I have no experience with Nids, but looking at the book, stealers look terrifying, but I can't really see a good HQ to use for such an army.

Grishnak is also selling on eBay.
