A kill mission seems easy enough for the Viper and I. The basic plan is Hitman style: infiltrate his compound as stealthily as possible with Nyla coordinating us from afar, me running interference, and Johanna using one of her special venoms to take him down. Preferably not through a bite and preferably with a venom that could have come naturally from some bad food or something. Either way, if we can manage not to kill his guards and slip in and out quickly there's no reason for an investigation to point towards our organization. If we do need to go hot then my phase drive and improved speed will help me get to the target and at least take him down before he can make an escape. A bit messy but we'll at least be able to finish the mission.

I have quite a list of improvements I want to work towards as well. I need to improve my survivability but first comes Accessible Memory, A.I. Helper, and Fast Thought. When moving at my top speed I'm mostly just relying on reflexes and waiting for my thoughts to catch up takes too long. Speeding up my ability to process my surroundings will greatly increase my abilities. After that comes a Reinforced Skeleton, Secondary Heart, Improved Blood, and maybe even a Personal Shield. I'm little more than a fast moving bag of weak flesh at the moment and my ability to go toe to toe against another augmented is somewhat hampered by that fact. I also really want a full set of Cyber Limbs, starting with the legs, and a set of Nanobarbs would be incredibly helpful. After that, if I manage to live that long, there's really a ton of useful utility augments that it would be nice to pick up.

I'd say it's definitely prohibitive. It definitely sounds like a huge pain in the ass to deal with and the slight variance in time between flare ups means it could happen at really inopportune time. The thing that finally pushed me over to choosing it was the note that it will improve slightly over time. Which makes sense, really, since I'm part of an organization with incredible medical technology and am improving myself to better my own health at the same time. Hey /cyoag/, a bit of a sob story here. I'm drunk and I need to get this out there.

I've loved these threads for a long time. While I almost never post, I've read pretty much every cyoa ever posted. These are great. They let me escape and imagine worlds that could be. Escapism is wonderful.

I got a girlfriend over a year ago. For the first time, real life was better than any cyoa could be.

I think it's mostly that the three other main companions kinda suck a little bit in their own way and having the capabilities of Nyla is incredibly useful, especially since I can't really imagine wanting more than one other field agent with me. On that note, the Support Squad is almost a complete non-pick. The medics and mechanics can be nice but I don't think anyone wants 3 mook tier idiots running around with them in a mission. Just about every piece of media ever presents them as nothing more than cannon fodder.

What I might recommend is buff Markus and Timothy a bit and add two more support companions in line with Nyla. Maybe split Nyla into two companions, one with the hacker skills and one with the planning and coordinating abilities. Then the third could be the medics and experts from the Support Squad.

Normally I would have chosen Eidolon in an instant. The catch of not being able to EVER die (unless you piss off an Old One, but that's probably going to be Worse Than Death) isn't so much of a problem when you realize that it's your spirit you are talking about anyway. The real problem I see with the Eidolon is the tech cap, which essentially means that you can't use eternity to continuously improve yourself, you are very limited in what you can ultimately do.

Careful reading of the Artificer says that they CAN live forever, as long as they aren't completely destroyed along with all their backups and contingencies. Good enough for me, and I should eventually be able to craft the body or simulation I want

So, I like the symbiotes but never got to read about them properly but from what I see on the wiki they're very vulnerable to sonic and fire (it seems Spiderman was able to defeat it with the sound of a church bell) so why they're a threat? First off, Contact + Sex (+ Numb) is overpowered. The "minimum 1" means your single charge acts don't lose any power, and you can get an arbitrarily large pool from hugging your waifu or groping someone on the street.

Even if I can't just turn into a woman and opt out of the combat (is the magic different or something?), I can probably win so long as they don't resort to just blowing me up on the street one day.
I have enough intrigue powers that I can control some of the less firmly held harem members with Charisma, Feather-Touch, and Impress. The witches themselves are immune to Impress, but the indirect methods should do me well if I can get close to them regularly.
If I can't get close enough, Hecate and Wu Li can back me up while I use Potency and Boulder to fight them and maybe use Sculptor of Man to take away their limb and cock privileges rather than killing them

Slavemance got a lot of discussion when it was posted but it was pretty much whether or not Marked was worthwhile, whether Endocrine Control could replace other powers, and the fairly narrow nature of the adventure. Either you build for the powers you want or you build for the girls you want. Their requirements are very restrictive and sometimes non-intuitive. Another row or two of girls and giving them more permissive power requirements (love potion or stockholm syndrome, for example) would probably help increase the number and variety of builds.

As for sound, it's just not readily available when its needed. When the heroes know to prepare in advance the plot gets in the way, and I don't think the general population/police know the symbiotes weakness.

Become an all but unstoppable titan of the battlefield. Usually prefer more flexible builds but I like how this one came together. Kind of strange how the items mention stats, skills, and feats without any specific details. Soldier, in addition to being my waifu, will serve as an assistant with hauling all this heavy gear around as well as a more adaptable and mobile fighter in combat, watching my rear and flanking enemies.

Impress, because I like mind control stuff. Thrall doesn't actually seem to do anything that Impress doesn't, as it's written now, besides setting up a permanent connection for a cost of 160 charges, instead of costing one per use. It's the prerequisite to a lot of stuff, but nothing THAT great. So I skip it even though I like the underlying concept.

Ghost in the Shell is relevant to my interests for fetish purposes but also just for the sake of perspective.

Sense contributes to that as well, in addition to giving me insight to employ Impress more effectively.

Distribution is a good way to get immortality, though I don't plan to use it until I'm old and need to.

Shroud of Lust seems like a handy thing to use while in the shell.

Charisma seems nice for daily life, and boulder seems useful for building things.

I'm running out of stuff I really want, but I'll take Vitality, Potency, and Feather-touch. Grower, not shower, makes up the difference.

N2 doesn't really have any drawbacks, except for weird scales (average skill < 1), and has neat powers. K seems nice, but it's an eternity of being a pasty neckbeard - your physical flaws would really start bugging you after a decade or two, not to mention if the government got ahold of you.
2^N is similar to N2, but with a flaw that's the antathema to /cyoag/ (a life expectancy of 6-7 years max) in exchange for more powerful boons.
1/N is a more conventional superpower, which is just personal preference between it and N2.

Ya, it depends on the strength of what's being used against them. Like, a really loud stereo might stun them for a little, but they could probably power through it, same goes for a small campfire or something. It's when you get like an actual up close super loud soud or concentrated blast of fire that it really starts hurting them. And here's how I sorta see enhanced shapeshifting. Without it, in your human form you can use the symbiote change into different clothes, and your symbiote form can change basic shapes (this includes look like a woman symbiote), and whatnot. Enhanced shapeshifting allows you to alter your default human appearance to whatever you want, and this will stay as long as you have the symbiote on, even if you're not concentrating on it. In symbiote form, you can go really crazy with multiple heads, arms, or animal forms and whatnot.

It seems like Anti-venom and Scream have the least problematic downsides if you just want to chill out. Scorn, maybe, But depends on just how deep "no shenanigans" goes. If she'd get pissed at me for using her powers for vidya then that's kind of a no-go.

Anti-venom seems flat out the best with exclusive access to disease curing powers. And a "weakness to antimatter? Fucking EVERYTHING is weak to antimater. It's antimater. And it's not exactly like that shit is common, you know? Basically a non-weakness. (Though with marvel logic it'll suddenly be available at any drugstore or something)

Then Enhanced Shapeshifting, Separate form, invisible. The last is mainly for dropping off symbiote radar for being left the fuck alone and avoiding PvP types.

Scientist as companion.

Be a shape-shifting doctor that heals the sick and otherwise lazes around playing video games all day. Comfiest build I could come up with.

Scream's fine as is. She basically gives you partial shapeshifting for free, so you don't have to buy the perk and can therefor buy something else. I'm basically considering that she's as good as the perk in all ways (including the voice manipulation), except that forms must be female and human.

They say no one can control the symbiotes. Sooner or later whatever it wants is going to be forced through your head enough that you want it too (this is WITHOUT strong willed). The way to deal with them is to give them what they want willingly, but in doing so teach them how to do it "the right way".

Anyway, with Scream that should be reasonably easy (I'm just ignoring Anti-Venom, too boring to build), I just have to "show off" hero and celebrity style rather than going supervillain or trying to suppress her until thats where we end up. I have the body and the perks for it. Tentacles are a lot easier to hold back than natural weapons or strength (it's also what she's known for anyway), the other perks are defensively oriented. The hero should help keep me straight, the fan can get our name and image out there for her necessary ego boosting.
