Jumpchain Solid: Revengeance
>>
In tems of increasing difficulty, what's the best order for Megami Tensei jumps?
>>
Got a question about Symbiotes. Lets say I wanna give my companions or something Symbiote powers without actually givin them a voice talking in their head, is it possible? Can I give them a surgery of somesort and allow them to access the symbiote abilities as if they themselves were symbiotes? Of course I dont plan to give them that crazy processing thing and make them go crazy, but carbon nano tube muscles and skin weaving together with a crazy bio processing power? That would be awesome.
>>
For those of you who took the 0 cp version of the Morlock drawback in X-men Cinematic Universe, what did you go with?
>>
Here's a version with some typo corrections, for anyone who missed it.
>>
>>47371248
So far? SMT 1, Devil Survivor, Devil Survivor 2. SMT 1 is the most low powered game, and actually fairly survivable given the biggest threat to anyone not the MC are the endless legions of demons/angels/cultists. Devil Survivor is when you confine the apocalypse to a single city, give everyone, including gangsters and more the power to summon demons, unleash big name demons who target EVERYONE, not just the MC, and put a time limit of a week before everyone dies, and to add to the problems, people are slowly losing their minds. Very dangerous. Devil Survivor 2? The ruler of the multiverse wants Earth, and humanity, to die, and is erasing it from existence, while sending Angel expies to finish the job in the areas she can't simply erase. What's that you say? You managed to beat her somehow and reset the world? Good for you! You just woke up her boss, who literally controls time, space, heat, and force, and who can appoint a new Administrator, AND can unleash demon like creatures that if it weren't for the existence of a living glitch in reality(Miyako and Yamato were not supposed to exist in the same world), would be literally unkillable. The same applies to the boss as well, of course.
>>
>>47371370
What about Soul Hackers and Persona's Strange Journey drawback?
>>
>>47371248
Probably Persona/Soul Hackers > Devil Survivor 1 without Bels and Whistles/SMT1 > Devil Survivor 1 with Bels and Whistles > Devil Survivor 2.

Although, I base Devil Survivor 1's placement on the assumption that unless you screw things up too much, Abel will win the war by "default".

>>47371416
Persona with the SJ drawback is basically all of the above combined, so it's dead last until the Nocturne endjump becomes a thing.
>>
>>47371416
Huh, forgot about those. Soul Hackers is slightly less dangerous than Devil Survivor, due to there being no time limit, but still incredibly dangerous for anyone unprepared. The Grigori, ancient fallen angels who gave mankind war, astrology, and other forbidden knowledge, and who fathered the Nephelim, have set up a powerful corporation that controls the futuristic city that the game takes place in from the shadows. Like cyberpunk, basically. Using an online game, they plan to capture enough souls to awaken and control Manitou, the Great Spirit, and remake/take over the world, or something like that. There is a single hacker group who opposes them, so you might want to help them. Also, make sure that the Grigori and their Phantom Society don't capture Nemissa, otherwise Manitou can't be killed.
Strange Journey is DS2, SMT 1, and Strange Journey combined. So uh, last place.

NO! Just no.
>>
>>47371442
>>47371475
Ah, sorry, I meant the Strange Journey 'Space Marines on the Artic' part of the drawback.
>>
>>47371517
Oh. Well you'll still have to deal with the others, but that part is...well, it's complicated. Several demon lords, the old gods and goddesses, angels wanting to make sure everything goes JUST AS PLANNED, greedy, immoral mercenaries, a hostile environment that lacks air and is only survivable because of Demonicas, or in this case Personas I guess, and the final boss, Mem Aleph, is basically Gaia on steroids. Oh, and if you don't hurry up, the entire world will be consumed/destroyed and remade into a world of madness and Chaos.
>>
>>47371517
Last, or second to last. There is some seriously dangerous shit in Strange Journey.
>>
>>47371475

And you only 300CP....have fun
>>
>>47371330
Will it ever reach version 1?
>>
>>47371721
Soon as I find it.

Jokes aside, only reason it's not 1.0 right now is because I'm not sure if there's anything else I want to add or need to fix. It's almost as done as it's going to get.
>>
>>47371748

>>
>>47371768

>>
>>47371721
Why would it Anon? If it was at 1 that would mean it was complete, perfect, but perfection a ever moving goal, unattainable in our life time. To label it one, or say you “won” would be lying to yourself and the universe, don't be that guy Anon.
>>
>>47371700
At least you start in the beginning so you can stop some of those from getting as bad as they do during the SMT games.
>>
so, if you've made a jump, and later on you update it with nothing too big, just a few corrected typos and somesuch, do you still need to post the new version here?

Well, I was told they were designed to be somewhat modular by their inventors and even the insensate ones can do quite a lot with access to biomass, so I don't see why not with a little creativity.

A mosaic organ, especially with red surgery a la Terra Formars would be a pretty solid choice. Resident Evil has a lot of plots involving saturating diseases with specific traits so it stands to reason with the researcher capstone and virologist perks you could whip up something. There's also Gene Slamming from Street Sharks or Mad Biologist from Gargoyles to take the cartoon science approach to biology.

>>47371748
By the way, just curious-when Chaos eats things to upgrade does she physically chew and swallow or assimilate like goo? Found some fight scenes but no eating scenes.

Your Dinotopia jump is interesting, but I have a few issues with it. First of all, it seemed a little odd that you put the Drop-In and Dolphinback as separate, when I think they could have been one category. Really, both of them involve you arriving with no preexisting ties to the island.

My bigger issue with your jump is that you are using the miniseries. It contradicts the original books in many different ways, and lacks the colorful flavor of the story.

I was already making a Dinotopia jump, books only, when I learned of your jump. As I do not consider the miniseries in the same canon as the books, I plan to continue working on my own jump to resolve this matter.

I like FFTA for the ribbon bearer to avoid getting blindsided, Wuxia for some basic combat survival abilities, Red Dwarf for the anti-boredom perk so I can train 24/7, and Animorphs for those early shifting abilities. Those are usually some of the first jumps I think to visit because they are really key for developing a good baseline to work from.

SMT1's a good start. No big apocalypses to worry about, and the demons are pretty friendly.

Okay but seriously, The Sims 3 is pretty obvious. I'm a fan of early VtM: Bloodlines, but I wouldn't call it safe or too useful. If you're capable of stomaching it and willing to be a fucking sparkler, Twilight is a big power up. I'm not entirely certain on safety, but I like Venture Bros. and They Live to get my badass normal on soon.
>>
>>47372139
Trolling aside, getting Time Stop early does make the chain much easier.

You just need to be willing to run. A lot. And not look back.
>>
>>47372023
Ravenloft!

More seriously, most any of Quicksilver's jumps, Twilight if you're not bent on killing all the sparkling excuses for vampires, and Harry Potter is pretty good. LoT is ok for a couple jumps in if you're not breaking the deadlight.
My first couple jumps in order:
>Pokemon (then bodymod and warehouse)
>Twilight
>Harry Potter
>InFamous
>LOTR
>Light of Terra

Jane here. The miniseries has several call-backs to the original series and is what I'm more familiar with. I did make sure to include a complication that puts you in the time of the original series, but I'd be delighted to see your own take on it and possibly switch mine over to a "The Miniseries" Jump.

Recently in my quest to reorganize all my jumps, I realized that, between Ouran Highschool's androgyny and bishounen sparkle/cherry blossom perks (all of which I have) and Invader Zim's Tall perk (which I also have -- I wanted to be about Tak-size), there was a long stretch of time where it was actually really hard to tell my gender.
I didn't start collecting all the cute perks until way later.

That means that my companions watched me gradually morph from a dashing swordswoman into some kind of mascot character for a jRPG.

It's fun to think about.

>>
>>47372905
I've run through the entire game, pretty much. Just got the last section to do and then I get a 'you won!' screen. There are very few bits that are still in chinese, and these are tiny little multiple choice sections that couldn't be translated due to the differences between english and chinese, so they list what the correct answer is.

Anyone going 'It's all in chinese bwaaaaa don't buy it' is an idiot.
>>
Jumpers: What does a typical episode of Jumper: The Series look like?
>>
>>47372956
I am not complaining about the chinese text. I encountered it when for some reason when I lost against a bear I couldn't read what the text was saying since it was in another language. I would willingly give money for the people to get better translators or something but besides that I can easily ignore it.

My solution to every problem in the universe is something I call the Penitence.

The Penitence isn't any specific object, operation, or force, but a combination of factors and actions depending on the circumstances.

The Penitence usually works like such; there's a few varieties of ability that are vital to the execution of any Penitence, among them specifically, are Perks that affect and changes the characters of things defeated, as well as abilities that make it so that, as much damage/force I use to defeat my enemies, they will not be killed by it.

You must employ precise, high potency, mind influencing force, to while simultaneously destroying and reforming their physical bodies without killing them, so that everyone comes away from the experience a genuinely better person.

>>
>>47372976
First the episode starts with the viewer hearing a talk between me and the witch.
Perhaps its about the nature of man, making a new spell or even just about the two of us watching people from the rooftops under a beautiful full moon.

And then the talk shifts about the newest fool who entered the shop to seek to make a deal with the witch. The deals sound rather fair most of the time and the payment is not ussually money...yet it is also not anything they cannot do either, there is no impossible or debilitating payment.

Then the camera shifts as the details of the deal are told to the night sky as the rather dark theme music starts to play and the scene shifts to the shop where the witch often works.
It is small and rather stereotypical, but in the side looking at the customers and the camera are three stools and on this small bar bench a werewolf often sits and drinks.
Sometimes in the intro the werewolf is a guy, other times there is another person next to him writing things, she would look human if it wasn't for the metal arms.
The scenes keep shifting, the rooftop which the viewer learns that where the gang often watches down the city from, the mysterious newly appeared castle that is haunted by undead and more.

Then sudden shift to a police investigator who is known to seek that shop.
He is on a dead-end as he investigates un-related cases of miracles happening, some say he is chasing ghosts, but the day under the moon where he saw something big growling at him and ripped apart his partner haunts him.
Tonight was a full moon and all the cases, some of which ended badly tell that to their right as they entered the shop at night, a wolf like creature was standing like a man watching them and he cannot help but remember the legends about werewolves as the scar on his chest seems to grow hot.

Each time he thinks he knows where to go, he instead gets lost, but he slowly yet surely feels like he is getting closer.

The phone rings and the person on the other part of the line feels relief as he picks up the phone.
Another grizzly murder happened on the last full moon, many all around the city. He thinks that there might be more than one werewolves, but he lacks any evidence its anything less than the new rather feral packs of dogs having found the bodies first, they haven't attacked people yet...but word on the streets is people are thinking about taking manners in their own hands.
Homeless people welcome the packs as they seem somewhat less hostile towards them, instead they sometimes shared their warmth together on cold windy nights.

After writing when and where he is meeting the other police officers he starts moving onwards to pick up some coffee on his way to the crime scene, its going to be a rather long night again.

Yet as he arrives at the crime scene something is...wrong.

Its too quiet, the police cars at the scene are empty and save the blue and red lights still blinking nothing else is moving on the scene.
As he goes closer a sweet smell seems to numb his brain and makes him chase him. He goes through dark and bright alleys, he passes through what seemed to be the local chinatown, slowly again and again he shifts around alleys even when they do not make sense....when at last he arrives at where the smell is from.

The Spider and the Wolf

He blinks as the name makes him feel shocked as he recognizes it, the very same name that he has heard about, the legend he has chased.
There is a moment of hesitation as he attempts to decide whether to enter the shop with his gun out or not, things are strange and the smell that got him here...did not help him.
Yet he knows the urban legend and its best not to risk it, but just in case he takes out the six silver bullets and loads them to his gun before entering.

I've seen some people claim that killing the Choas Gods would kill everything forever. Would someone mind telling me how? Wasn't the galaxy perfectly fine before they were born? Why would it be broken if they were killed?
>>
>>47373807
Chaos Gods are essentially a part of everyone through the Immaterium, killing them would not kill everyone but it would certainly fuck everybody up.
>>
>>47373807
>>47373830
They're not part of everyone. As anon says, the concepts they feed off of and represent existed before them and would exist without them. The problem is that when powerful psychic beings die, sometimes there's some backlash for beings with a warp presence. Like the shockwaves from bullets killing the fish in a barrel. So watch out for that.
>>
>>47373807
They have a really big psychic presence. Killing them would apparently cause terrible psychic backlash.

Blanks are fine tho.
>>
>>47373807
The thing is, you can't kill them. It's literally impossible.

The only way that you could would be to kill everything with a soul/warp presence, but at that point it's all kind of pointless, y'know?

The spess marins managed to kill a cyborg alien that happened to be psychic, and that things death scream killed an utterly ridiculous amount of people that proves gw doesn't even understand the concept of restraint. something like a million worlds. magnify that by the size of a chaos god, then do it four (or five, six or seven times) and see what's left
>>
>>47373807
>>47373850

The Chaos Gods had always been there. Even before the Emperor was there. And even before.

Time does not exist in the Inmaterium. The birth of a Chaos God does not mark the 'begging' of that Chaos God. The element that they embody has always been there. Killing them could either mean that you destroy that element, worst case scenario, or that their death fuck ups the Warp so much that kills most sentient beings in the Galaxy.

There is a reason of why neither Khorne or Tzeentch had gone a killed their rivals either by sheer power or interminable rushes.
>>
>>47373901
They're organic alien technology, though. Still probably wouldn't work for a Mosaic Organ, though.

He hopes he is not anxious as he enters the shop. The wolf is to his right gazing at him and it makes him almost reaching for his gun before the voice of a young woman breaks off what litle daze he still felt from his journey here.

His questions about the shop, the witch and the wolf are all politely rebuked, instead he is offered what he desires.
With almost no thought to it, he replies that he seeks the truth.

A minute later the detective gets out of the shop a parcel under his arm, he takes a step and-
-He awakes on his office to someone shaking him up, its morning and his new partner brought him coffee. He gives a grateful smile and takes a sip as he tries to make sense of his memories, but his head feels heavy and its still early in the morning.

With a sigh he reaches for his notebook and starts writing down something.

The episode ends as a woman starts singing and the view cuts to a jazz bar, the werewolf from before sitting next to the witch, both of them drinking as the singer in the background sings a jazz song called Almost blue.
(Episode 1 Fin...the episodes are rather small as I am a patient jumper, if you like it do say and I might continue)

I know that the miniseries has some callbacks to the original books, and I did like some of the scenes in the episodes. The problem is, the miniseries, to me, just seems to present the books in a different way than Gurney had in mind, particularly in regard to Dinotopians' view of change and knowledge.

Anyway, I'm glad that you're willing to let me take my own stab at the series. I'll make sure that it only covers the books. Your own jump is pretty interesting (I liked the ping-pong ball reference), so I feel that our two jumps should be able to coexist.
>>

>>

okay do not go psyker, that is a trap option always!

Generic Subrb has Sylladex, Fetch Modus, and Strife Specibus now choose Dicekind as your Strife Specibus and start crafting some magical dice, it also has a randomized doomsday device.

God hand has a combat system that has random finisher moves.

If you have chaos magic you can pick up conjoined congeries from that jump what with the magical girl with flowery names and the tiny winged lion to make other magics more chaotic.

Picking up themed Powers and cyborg in skullgirls could make you into a casino themed knockoff of big-band if that's your thing.

wakfu has the race/class ecaflip which are pretty random
>>
>>47373943
That's the thing about the chaos gods- they're not one consciousness with an agenda, they're a presence. insert 'you can't kill an idea' here That's why it was such a MASSIVE deal when they scattered the primarchs, and their investment in Horus. Horus was favored by all four- that would secure their hold on realspace, by gaining control of the Imperium.

I'm honestly kinda confused about that; from what people said about how they operate they seem to be almost completely organic and thus more like artificially designed lifeforms. And given that MOs have been designed for fluke worms and bacteria I don't see it's such a stretch to model one after one.

>>47373943
From what I understand that would, if anything, make things worse because it's not so much they go supernova as the very event of their death releases a psychic backlash that harms those with souls.

A better idea would be modifying the psychic signature that manifests a human soul such that it no longer provides the broadcast that sustains them in the Warp and distributing it on a grand scale to slowly starve them in the long run. Similar to what the Eldar do with their soulstones.

Alright, so since we established that the Chaos Gods are a gestalt presence in the warp substantiated b y every living thing in the galaxy, then we can now move on to talking about how to kill everything in the galaxy with a warp presence so that we can start over with a fresh and clean immaterium.

I figured the Hive Mind would serve as an adequate anchor/buffer/etc, since Tyranids don't HAVE any of the other emotions and there's so many of them the psychic scream couldn't possibly kill them all.

>>47374133
Not universe, galaxy. It's only a galaxy that has this problem called chaos gods.
>>
>>47373943
>Could it just scatter their sentience until they're reborn then?
They're not sentient either. They're more like a very well made VI, but no a true AI.

They're a construct driven by the element that they embody.

Think of Scion on Worm. Scion is not the Warrior Entity, just a puppet with a pre-progamed set of emotions. When he is bullied, the avatar is the only thing that shuts down.

>Big E almost did it when he offed Horus evidently.
Uhm, no he didn't. He erased Horus, and that hurt the Emperor a lot due the sheer psychic energy that he had to use. Erase a soul forever is not that easy.
>>47374065
>Aren't 'nids actually really psychically attuned?

Yes they are. They're what an actual united Waaagh! would look. Except that for some reason they don't weaponize this ability too much.

Maybe because it's the first time that they encounter the Warp. Maybe they do, and the Milky Way doesn't really matters that much for them to use it.
>>

SCP without a doubt.

You can fix W40k with necron technology, bio-engineering and a lot of mind-control.

Just think of SCP-1, and then consider that it is probably not the worst thing that can arrive to the Earth.
>>
>>47373890
Wrong. You can kill them. The problem is that a new god will eventually be born like them because the galaxy is so miserable.
>>
>>47374033
>'you can't kill an idea'
But you can. You just need to create a world where that idea makes no sense. Killing the Chaos Gods is doing things backward, you need to remove the grimderp that created them. A galaxy without war, decay, suffering, corruption, etc... and containing only living beings with pure, emotionally stable minds could either snuff out Chaos or make it harmless. a strong enough jumper could maybe do it.
>>
>>47374175
So you use perks to become less cool, in favor of gaudyness and triggering epilepsy. Fair enough, to each their own.
>>
>>47373917

Emotionally stable would have to mean emotionless. Something as simple as love and/or happiness would inevitably result in something like slaanesh.

In other words, you could become a hivemind. And in 40k, unless you have substantial realspace vectors, you'd just be battling it out with the hivemind.
>>47374187
Exactly. Tyranids couldn't have gotten the biomass they have simply in their time and space in the Milky Way.

The result of taking out the chaos gods would be a galaxy of Necrons, Orks, and Tyranids, along with assorted blanks i guess, but they wouldn't have the numbers initially to have much effect.

>>
>>47374364
Who do you think?
>>
>>47374362
>Something as simple as love and/or happiness would inevitably result in something like slaanesh.
Wrong. The Chaos Gods are as negative as they are because of how negative the galaxy is. Before the War in Heaven, Psyker races existed, and the Immaterium was not as hostile of a place. Hell, before Slaanesh, it wasn't even the constant storm it is now. So no, having love and/or happiness would not eventually result in a Slaanesh. It's more likely to eventually result in an Isha or the like.

By advocating that position you are essentially saying it's a terrible jump that needs to be changed.
>>
>>47374979
>>47374964
What exactly makes you think that the setting is dangerous for someone who hasn't taken any drawbacks?
>>
>>47374968
Possibly. Sort of a reverse of the brain-matter transfer that Symbiotes do with brain damaged hosts, migrating the human mind into the bioprocessors rather than the Symbiote mind into the nervous system. They'd probably have a harder time learning to control their abilities than a symbiote-host pair would, though.
>>
>>47375005
Maybe that sentiment should change then, because the jump would absolutely stink if it limited you to Realm of Heroes.
>>
>>47375005
Except no one ever fucking said that? That's you. You're the one saying this. Only you. More over, you have no point aside from 'but it's insulting to say the truth!'.
>>
>>47375057
It won't. If you like the jump, do not advertise it in that way or you will embolden people to cry for it to be changed to 'stink'. Then it will either be changed, or you will not be able to talk about it because you'll be yelled at for mentioning Overlord.

This is the wisdom and the warning of the ancients. I've seen it many times.
>>
>>47375005
I wouldn't see saying that as criticism, and it seems like literally no one else does. Moreover, it's not free, just safe. Like Touhou; keep your head down, and don't poke sleeping bears.
>>
>>47375005
The only thing that should be changed about Overlord is that it needs a higher drawback limit, damned cp vampire *grumble*grumble* otherwise it is great.
>>
>>47375084
You're a fucking retard then. The only one making a fuss over it is you.
>>
>>47375091
Hint: They fucking hate Touhou. You literally cannot mention Touhou without some anon pouring salt about it being 'wank' or 'overpowered'. When it came out there was a campaign to have it force a 'no spellcard system' drawback on you if you bought any of the perks but the cheapest. Do you want this for Overlord?
>>
>>47375092
This. It's damn nice, in everything except drawback cap.
>>
>>47375110
Go back into the archive and look at two threads ago. Someone wanted exactly what I mentioned.
>>
>>47375055
Thats very helpful, thank you anon. If anything a Bio Tinker Fran with a Bio Sculptor Kujira should help out in any case to just give them that crazy carbon nanotube armor and skin weaving. Combined with my "Crucible" invention, I should be able to perform some cool bio stuff.
>>
>>47375115
You're lying through your teeth right now. Different anon, you're so full of it I can't ignore you anymore.
>>
>>47375115
Well I know someone gets mad every once in a while but it's nowhere near every time, I just ignore them personally.
>>
>>47375144
Yeah, no. That's complete nonsense and you know it.
>>
You know, all this arguing about how dangerous or not dangerous Overlord is is kind of pointless considering we have no idea what other shit is in the world because Overlord isn't anywhere near finished. For example, Albedo's younger sister is supposedly the strongest being in that world bar none, and she wants to use her against the other Supreme Beings. What if she turns out to be an omnicidal maniac? Or what if she turns out to be a happy go lucky tree hugger? Then you have Ainz, who is seemingly becoming more and more evil, given how his summoning of the Dark Young and the slaughter they caused excited him because he broke a record for how many of them he could summon. Will he go all the way, and become truly evil and thus a threat to the jumper no matter what, or is that just him being a player and thus just sort of insensitive? What if there are other more violent or malevolent players, or other more heroic ones or neutral ones? What if the World Serpent or whatever it was called comes back, if it even exists? We don't know. So this setting could be super dangerous even with Level 100, RoH, and Divine equipment, or it could be cake walk. We don't know.
>>
We can't go one thread without bullshit.

It's not even fucking summer vacation yet.
>>
>>47375164
A reason why I felt a Overlord jump shouldn't have been made. This is going to be like Toriko I am betting.
>>
>>47375174
This is actually pretty tame all things considering. I'm not sure what you're complaining about.
>>
>>47375199
And the worst thing is, the Jump-maker's over on Spacebattles.

So we gotta go looking for him if it goes tits-up.
>>
what overlord truly needs, is to get the local and player origins discounts balanced. As of right now, you go player only if you want to take the 42nd supreme being. there is no point otherwise.
>>
>>47375243
Quite frankly? This.

I mean look at my build:

>OverLord - 569
Location: Legacy of a Dragon, the Dragonic Kingdom
Age: 22-years-old
Race: Human (Local)
Origin: Magic Caster
Drawbacks: Rival Guild (+600)
Final Point Count: 1,600 CP

Perks:
-Personal Inventory (Free)
-The Realm of Heroes (Free)
-Innate Talent - Magic Learning Affinity (Free)
-Innate Talent - Alchemist (Free)
-Innate Talent - Enhanced Summoning (Free)
-Class Skills - Divine Caster (Free)
-Class Skills - Arcane Caster
-Class Skills - Talismonger
-Innate Talent - Use Any Magic Item
-Level One Hundred
-Specific Specialization - Summoning
-Dark Wisdom
-The Abyss of Magic

Treasures & Companions:
-The Ring of Elru

The "two discounts = free" bit on Innate Talents in particular is just ridonkadonk.

>>
>>47375134
No one wanted what you were saying. That was just you imposing what you think on someone else. The truth is the truth, and saying it doesn't make it 'insulting'.

The jump is survivable with what's on offer by the jump itself, comfortably so, you don't need out of context powers just to have any chance to survive, which means it's relatively safe.

Saying it's not safe is a bold faced lie.

What's on offer is also pretty decent, not broken OP like we sometimes get in much weaker, even safer settings where even if you antagonize the world at large you'll still be able to make it your bitch, but nonetheless, strong comparable to the setting.

Is this an insult? No.

It's well fucking made, better than I honestly would ever expect from an Overlord jump, and it's all within the purview of the setting, it all makes a lot of sense, but that doesn't change the fact that dying there's unlikely when most shit can't hurt you at all do to immunity to low-mid tier spells and physical attacks, and said low-mid tier stuff is all most anyone knows about in the setting other than a couple of guys who you don't need to antagonize.
>>
>>47375281
The first rank of Inventory is only free for players.
>>
>>47375347
>Is this an insult? No.
Your failure here is not understanding the difference between how you feel about something (This is high powered and safe! That's good!) and how other people feel about what you said (This is high powered and safe! That's bad!).
>>
>>47375363

Thank you for catching that. I think it was... 2 AM when I was making the build?
>>
>>47375307
Well, that'll make things easier, I suppose.
>>47375243
This is kind of true. Especially considering that with 42nd Supreme Being, you can't buy a whole lot anyway, so most people go Local instead.
>>
>>47375281
>not taking Tolerance for Evil
>>
>>47375375
You're taking offence to someone saying a fact. Reality isn't an insult, you just take it that way.
>>
>>47375414
>Wanting to tolerate evil.
>>
>>47375422
I don't think you're ever going to get what I'm saying.
>>
Oh, right, and for the 42nd supreme being, it is basically only for fluff reasons. Everything it gives, you can get anyway for the 1000 cp it costs. Plus, it forces you to take tolerance for evil and ignore the shit Demiurge does.
>>
>>47375375
What's wrong with that?

That's a conclusion you came to on your own, and more over, your solution to a perceived problem that only you see as a problem is to tell other people to believe a false version of reality so you don't need to recognize that a 'problem', which I repeat only you, no one else, perceives exists.
>>
This Symbiote talk has made me remember an issue was having with some biological things I was creating.

Does anyone know if there is a method of cloning that creates brain-dead clones? It seems like something that would normally be seen as a downside of the process, so I assume at least one will have that.

Tentatively thinking of doing Penny Dreadful.

Was mentioned a couple of threads ago and I considered it a while ago when watching it. Will have to finish the series first but could be good. Vampire Requiem Chevalier is in development hell kek at the minute. DC endjump is definitely happening but is more ambitious than another short TV series jump and I'm not feeling it at this moment in time.

Not 100% sure Penny Dreadful will get finished but hopefully it will. I wonder whether the making of a jump can be fueled entirely by how much the jumpmaker likes Eva Green. I owe it to us all to find out.

So would it be out the question for Winds of Magic to follow you from jump to jump?

Total Warhammer looks real good. However it'll have two massive DLCs for rest the races. At launch there's Greenskins, Chaos, Bretonnia, Empire, Vampire Counts, and Dwarfs.
>>
>>47375459
As for the whole safe jump discussion- this is a world where lovecraftian gods exist. Ainz literally summons the spawn of Shub niggurath.

I honestly don't consider it safe.

Stick around a while, you'll see other jumps attacked over this. You cannot understand me, so maybe experience will be your teacher. Those people exist. Something you like will be destroyed by them, someone making content you look forward to will be driven off. It'll happen. Then you'll understand.

Off the top of my head, Project Phoenix from Rick and Morty can do that, and I imagine that the Doctor perks from GUNM would to, given Desty's experiments.

>>
>>47375422
You're missing his point. What you're saying isn't an insult, and I don't think it is either, but great amounts of power being given safely is often seen as bad, nevermind how fucking hard most people here wank to eke out every little bit of strength out of anything.

The actual facts and what you intend with any given statement doesn't matter in this context, because the perceived "others" will draw their own conclusions regardless of them, and these conclusions will lead them to trying to get rid of what you enjoy in that jump.
>>
>>47375502
That was out of context magic though. Ainz is practically a fucking jumper with all his cheat item bullshit.
>>
>>47375459
Well, actually, that's not true. Level 100 with a heteromorphic race alone would be at least 750cp, plus a Custom NPC worth 400cp, plus one of the maids of Nazarick, comes out to 1200, not 1000, which is what 42nd Supreme Being is worth.

actually nope.
Level 100 plus 150 heteromorphic race is indeed 750, but the custom npc for players is only 200.

I have a Phoenix, a fuckton of Darkings, and the Last Guardian. Oh, and I guess the tiny angel singing my praises counts, as it's kept in a tiny gilded cage and doesn't count as a companion...

They're all awesome in their own unique way.

My Phoenix cheers me up and has a bunch of benefits. The Darkings are naïve cuties, great amusement, and can be used as spies (through I don't really do that often). The Guardian is awesome and playful, and generally acts more like a puppy than the mountain-sized griffin thing it is. And my little angel... well, she sings beautifully, and hanging around her for any amount of time is a huge egoboost and cheer-up.
>>
>>47375527
I fanwanked Desty being able to myself. He messes with brains a lot so it wouldn't be unlikely for him to be able to just program his nanomachines to wipe the brain constantly or prevent it from functioning beyond basic bits to keep the body alive. Honestly unsure if the clones of himself he vivisected were braindead though, if nothing else he might view it as unnecessary and a good chunk of his research is brain based anyway.

I mostly got him to put the effort in for my stuff because I offered Secrets of Creation to make free custom test subjects, that were incidentally a lot less objectionable than people off the street. It's interesting trying to steer him around as a companion. And Naruto looks like another painful jump on that front due to Dysfunction Junction. So let's say hello to Desty Nova, with his new lab partner Orochimaru.
>>
>>47375730
In fairness, it also gives you a special ring that allows you to teleport between any and all of your properties, no matter the range, as well as the ability to return to the jump for a longer period of time.
>>47375794
Merchant, if you don't mind me asking this, would it be possible to take the King in Yellow as a parent for demigods in Percy Jackson, and if so, what would he give us? Sorry if these kinds of questions are annoying or over asked.

the maker may as well have put that separately.

Besides, just for being a member of nazarick, you will basically end up embroiled in politicks anyway, you may as well have taken cartoonishly evil for the things you have to overlook, and being a player you still end up as a foreigner in the land. Oh, and because ainz is basically an evil death god, the platinum dragon lord will be acting against you.

The ring is nice, but is it worth the effective drawbacks?
>>
>>47375874
Where is it on the drive? Is it actually called FEAR? Control + F isn't finding anything in imaged or unimaged.

Bio Tinker Shard from Worm should have no problem giving you clones, and it will only get better with time. Your clones may even be able to possess your abilities after the jump is over, assuming we could do what Bonesaw could do with the Slaughterhouse 9 in canon.
>>
>>47375940

>Foreigner
I take Drop-In a lot of times, so that's not a problem, really.

Yes. you get to live for si months extra there.

Now, cartoon evil is not just tolerance, it makes you do stuff you wouldnt normally. Basically now you wouln't notice the differece between unnnesesary evil and necesary evil, as well as not noticing when you are terrorizong people just by giving then a tour through the torture facilities.

Foreigner makes you /look/ and /feel/ like a foreigner, people would distrust you even if you covered you factions. and also, you dont get the written language, thus, being somewhat illiterate.

And the drawback forces you into direct politics. You could say: "Ok Momonga, you go to Re-Estize and i check those plains in the opposite direction" with no drawback it may be just a trip, with the drawback you /will/ get into politics. Even if you convince Momonga that his emotionless skeleton face make him the best option, you will still end dealing with nobility one way or the other.

As for the Dragon lord, he was not completely sure about Momonga/Ainz. You could still fly under the radar or prevent him from conectign the dots.

>>47375824
Nah, I figure it's an inevitability of some of the decisions I made creating Percy Jackson. Enjoy it usually, though sometimes trying to brainstorm ones for obscure gods with few known myths can get troublesome.

Hastur is an interesting choice for a parent. Don't believe I've done him up before, archives just get me explaining why Henderson isn't something I feel comfortable stating or allowing. Anyway Hastur would get you horrific mutations you can conceal under a mostly human seeing body, the ability to drive those who witness your true form mad, subtle manipulation of madmen especially those who have seen your true form or you have branded with the Yellow Sign, a touch that causes degradation and corruption, increasing awareness of anywhere your name is mentioned culminating in being able to just step there, improved ability to process forbidden lore (not as much as some of the others though), and the ability to pass yourself off as perfectly normal so long as you don't do anything too out of the ordinary. So there you go, hope that's a good powerset for Hastur.

No they aren't. Gravity creates vectors but is itself scalar. And temperature as a whole is a scalar even though the individual momentums of the particles involved are vector (and I know that Accelerator can redirect individual particles, but the more complex the motion the more it strains his processing capabilities, so get it hot enough and it should be too much for him to handle).

That one goddess in Tenchi if you can nab her with that one suicidal drawback. Just like all drawbacks in Tenchi, you get a waifu for your trouble. She has that same clause where she won't use her all-consuming cosmic power to help, but, she is a multi-versal goddess.

What are some good perks, besides just being far stronger than them, that would help with mocking people during fights?

Stuff like fighting them with both hands behind your back, writing embarrassing things on their head with permanent marker, or controlling the flow of the battle in such a way that all the damage they've caused to the environment during their fight with you would, when seen from above, spell out a 500 word essay on how much they suck.

If he's such a great scientist, why doesn't he just get eye surgery or something and fix his vision so that he doesn't need glasses?

This is a thing that bothers me with a lot of sci-fi worlds. It mostly shows up mostly in anime or Japanese games, but still. If your technology is advanced enough for FTL, hand held plasma weapons, and health foam in a spray can, then how have you not developed better corrective eye surgery?

Stupid monkeys.

>>

I don't think he needs the glasses. They are a memento from the Human who raised him, who used that pair of glasses.

I don't remember seeing anyone in Star Wars with glasses, if that matters.
>>
>>47378475
I'm fairly certain they're decorative. Kind of like ties, they originated as a soldier's scarf but evolved over time to just a generic "this person is a professional" marker and lost all their practicality in the process. Similarly, in the space future glasses are just a marker that someone has an advanced degree.

It doesn't matter how much you might hate the thread, that's still completely unfair on everyone else. You need to cut it out.
>>
>>47378475
Also there is no logical reason behind the glasses thing in sci-fi.
But Glasses in Fiction are a short-hand of "this character is smart".

It doesn't makes sense, but it's common in fiction, and for a long time was common in real life. Where if someone had glasses people assumed they were smarter than average.

WHF there was 7 winds of magic. Humans could only use one at a time, because using more than one will kill you, turn you into a chaos spawn, or corrupt you. High Elves could wield all seven because they had centuries to take it slow.

I know the symbiote level intelligence reward is linked to grey matter, and since you are the symbiote it's a sure thing when you separate at end of jump. Hence why I suggested that instead of taking synergized pair.

What do you actually expect to accomplish here? He's shown no interest in Guilty Gear so nerfing it likely doesn't do anything, he might not even know what it is. There's no indication you'll even finish the jump for weeks/months/ever given it's already been 350 threads or so with zero word on it's progress(Great job only returning to start shit with people, really showing why your hate of the thread is justified, instead of with something nice like one of something like the very often requested info on the half dozen WIPs you have stashed) so even if he did care about the series he probably wouldn't about the jump, almost everyone has long since acknowledged he's just a shitposter and says whatever it takes to cause a fuss amd you are only making things worse for all the people that agree with your side (Hint: that's almost everyone, great job fucking them all over for one guy's actions that they all hate) by making them all suffer for his idiocy.

Because he's shitposting and people keep taking the bait. He's masturbating to people getting angry and increases the size of his epeen every time he gets a hook. I don't know if Antired is the same person, but they seem to get off on insulting someone who made heaps of free content for them no matter what they say or do. It's a case of claiming someone is "cancer" and responding to them by being bigger lumps of "cancer". A self perpetuating cycle because people always take the bait.

>Make content

>>47379110
Basically all of it (with a few weird exceptions that are themselves problematic because Comic Book Logic, like Scarlet Witch) is based on pacts with other beings that grant some form of power. Deals with devils, trades with elementals, old gods, etc. So unless you podded those other beings to bring them along with you, you couldn't use their power.
>>
>>47379110
Not Marvel Anon, and I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night so take this with a grain of salt.

Marvel's magic is about invoking the power of other entities: Agamotto, Cyttorak. It's not inside you, as such, so you can't carry it around with you when you leave the Marvel verse.
