Do you or do you not intentionally utilize various forms of suggestion or mind control, /jc/?

People doing stuff because they think you're hot or because you worded it well doesn't count since normal people can get that too.
>>
>>47344020
No but yes.... Generally I shy away from such things as I hold a persons free will and right to choose their way of life as paramount. However in marvel I picked up a power that lets me control the popularity of people, things and ideas. Allowing me to make something be viewed in the best or worst light possible. I try and tread lightly with that power but I also tend to start businesses and try and enact social changes like supporting green energy and generally don't be an ass hole so yeah I am a total Hypocrite. However I try and use my hypocrisy for good purposes. That however doesn't make me less of a hypocrite... I am just trying to give a gentle nudge in what I believe is the right direction.
>>
What would you say was your favorite experience as a Jumper?
>>
>>47344016
Never do it actually. At this point most of the times the fights go:

Do you really?

Wouldn't it be so easy to let someone else make the hard choices for once?

Well I really like using my Lord of Light Aspect, I guess that counts.

In Gravity Falls, if you don't take the Giffany Drawback, but pick her up anyways, would it be possible to talk down her yandere streak before it gets out of hand?

What if I've only got the one, but she uses cloning and shapeshifting perks to appear to be multiple people for the sake of the narrative? Like, it's weird if the protagonist is in a deep and committed relationship to start the story, especially in jumps where you start as a kid, so she plays multiple roles for me to have romantic tension with so it's not obvious I have a designated love interest. That way no matter which ship wins we're still being faithful to each other.

>>
>>47344627
I am going to answer the question that I assume you are asking. There are many great high power waifus available in the chain but honestly. Just find a waifu you like and build up her power.
High Powered Waifu's tend to have high powered problems and attitudes.
My Favorite Waifus are Arcueid (Tsukihime) and Ryoko. Arcueid... well just keeping her sane and with her mind intact is a huge problem and Ryoko is an Alcoholic with a love of mass destruction also both of them are in love with other guys and NTRing people isn't cool.
>>
>>47344730
I do not trust anyone who wouldn't waifu the police girl.

I didn't waifu Seras. Because OAA did. And I like OAA.
Otherwise I totally would have Waifued Seras.
>>
>>47344740
If you want to get technical about things, yes and no. She's taken until she first drinks blood, then she becomes an independent Draculina.
>>
>>47344740
A proper trip to Hellsing is only complete when you also waifu Girlycard and Integra, preferably the Team Four Star versions.

If you mean the French guy, he dead.
>>
>>47344711
Depends on the WW. DCAU WW is pretty great, particularly the one from JL and JLU. Some of the comic WW's were good, though I reserve the right to flip shit on all that is nu52. DCEU WW, what's her name from BvS, did a decent job, but doesn't look the part and doesn't move like a fighter.

>>47344729
Better to ask three specific question than one vague question.

>1
Lots you could go with here: Jibril, Zatanna, Power Girl, certain iterations of Wonder Woman (see above). You just have to be specific about who and what you're looking for.

>2
Most comics, and shoneny animu are good for that. Some vidya, too.

She's a pile of fun.
This sharp girl is always keenly aware of my mood, and has a firm handle of any situation. If I get too fired up with my tall tales, she'll remind me to cut it out.
She's a bit shy around new people, though. Always on edge, always has her guard up. But once she's decided to cleave to a friendship, she'll find a way into people's hearts.

Seriously bro? Seras is a legitimately good person, who's trying her best to hold on to her humanity despite what she's become. She's also funny as hell at times. She's not just a pair of tits.

>>47344820
I dunno about that. I never did come up with an in-character reason I didn't go after Seras. Besides, you know, keeping away from Female-form Alucard who was being a creeper.

I like to think there's something like these threads for jumpers, where they can communicate and swap stories about their adventures but not meaningfully interact. There's not enough bandwidth to share significant data or anything like that, all that gets through is inspiration for new shenanigans and oneupsmanship.
>>
>>47344814
Surprisingly, it has absolutely nothing to do with her tits. I admire her courage, determination, her ability to survive when most others would just lay down and die without compromising her ideas. She... inspiring, especially to my Jumper-self.

I didn't even mean to waifu her in my Jump, but my presence messed with things enough that I ended up being the one to turn her. Things proceeded rather naturally from there.

To cover raildex specifically; personal preference is towards pic related, Kiyama, from raildex, alongside, Nunotaba, because both are accomplished female scientists with intelligence, guile, and strength of character.

Beyond that, there's numerous waifus if you have shit taste, ranging from the trite Misaka Mikoto, to any of her 10,000 clones, to Uiharu, to Saten, to Mugino, to Misaki, to basically anyone that's not male since it seems like literally all of them are single, a fact glossed over to the point I only just now realized how conspicuous it is.
>>

>you are also a DFC poster
Wat?
I've repeatedly said the size of breasts don't matter, as long as they are attached to a woman you love.
I have waifus with huge chests, and waifus with flat chests.

None of them are single, though. They're all part of Touya's harem. If not, then Accelerator gets the leftovers.

>>47345028
Kiyama also happens to be at the heart of jumpchain raildex power wank, having been responsible for the one ark, the single plot ark, where multi-skill, artificial angels, AIM field resonance, and brainwave networks play an active role.

So of course, she naturally fits in nicely with Science!Jumpers as an ideal waifu. That said, doing so and saving and redeeming her from becoming a villain would probably derail Raildex's plot, potentially enough that it would stop the sisters ark from happening.

That's... honestly I'm not sure.

On one hand it could be neat. I could see people jesting with each other, laughing at rookie mistakes or unexpected results, generally having a good time. It'd be... kind of weird? Like it gives a very 'group shooting the breeze as they turn into something else' vibe and if done right it could be really interesting.

But at the same time, you only have to take one look for how a lot of jumpers act ICly and you'd realize it would fall apart incredibly quickly. As things kept going, conflict and any number of variables could lead to it all going to shit, and the more things diverged the more it would just turn into this huge mess. Kind of like Magical Realm!

Plus it's also really difficult to determine how one's narrative would go if you had someone who actually told you if you were going to do something stupid, thus preventing you from doing it.

Alpha Biomancy is probably my most used power for combat.

Killing 500 heavily armored guys while surrounded is easy when you can just turn their skin inside out, or magic their brains into mush, or simply forcing their chest to occupy the same space as their feet.

Helps that I grabbed Telepathy and Telekinesis too, i suppose. Lots of possibilities.

Anything that can be done with magic, can be done with technology, and anything that can be done with technology can be done with magic, the rule being that an equal amount of energy must be input for either to work. The Geneforge is a technological construct. It stands to reason that as long as I know how it's mage and functions, I can cast a spell 'geneforge', put in as much mana as necessary for it to work, and get the same result.

Well, companioning them would result in them being ignored or shoved into the warehouse when they aren't useful, and someone else being shoved in when they are. Not companioning them means I'm going to leave and probably come back an entirely different person, definitely not who they fell in love with.

I could date someone on the Light or Keryekion, I suppose. But I don't spend nearly the time I should on those things. Maybe a few months out of every ten years. I like experiencing the worlds too much to stay on there.

It's for the best if I just tell people when I won't be around anymore and we just go out for a few months or years. I can be a hopefully happy memory for them, maybe a story to tell.

So, can anyone answer my question.

Because, in one interpretation of the Nexial Shard creates a link to the Nexus and thus you can link every world you enter. On the other hand, with less wank, leads to the Shard growing a local equal to the Nexus and allow you to craft archstones.

If this is a better Return option that creates a multiverse hub I'd love to do a Arc where my character uses it tons and then learns that he's been linking all these worlds together to the Source of the Colorless Fog. It'd be cool but I don't want to abuse such a mechanic, though since anyone can use them it could be considered a drawback at points.
>>
>>47347366
Yeah, I'm pretty sure this isn't going to work out to be a Return option that lets you freely go back to any jump.

Building off of this, a few more Elder Scrolls questions.

Is the version of Vampire Lord or Werewolf you can purchase transmissible? Do they start with all the 'perks' for their 'race' or do they gain them over time?

Do you get the perks for the magical school you buy with Master of the Arcane? Most of them seem to be what you could expect a more skilled spellcaster to do - cast spells for less, cast a bit stronger, heal a bit better etc.

Different jump question; does the Extended Mokeskin Pouch from Harry Potter have the typical bag of holding feature of maintaining its weight regardless of contents, or will it become very heavy if I try to store an armory in there?

Cool that's a good consensus but with stuff like Anti-Spiral Anon fighting Narl after getting away from the Lovecraft Jump, which as written shouldn't be able to happen unless I'm missing something major from that story, I thought that such a thing might be able to happen. After all I looked up Return and nothing Quicksilver says, that I could find in the four days I tried, restricts people from making a Return-lite or like mechanic.

>>47347499
Yeah, that'd be pretty cool, but I was of the idea that it may link the world's together, even their timelines. I have the Bastion from the titular Jump and i thought of placing the first archstone there, during the course of my Demon Soul's Jump. Each world I'd visit afterword would get an archstone and slowly the worlds would create a small, contained bubble of world in the same time. Then later on I'd learn that several of the lower powered settings had been overtaken by the Colorless Fog and the higher powered settings would be fighting for their lives. A bit of a Wham moment for the character in question.

>>47347579
I always thought that ASA just fanwanked all the different Nyarlathotep's were the same, not that Nyarl was actually following him.

That said, he could just maintain the drawback to do so, which would be really bad. Drawbacks you maintain don't give you CP, and if you get rid of it you can't get it back.

You can't do that for Lovecraft because at the end of the Jump all drawback are explicitly revoked. It says so in the Jump.
>>47347739
Yep, Jump-Chan can beat Narl like a drum. We must remember that she's literally bending the narrative worlds of entire multiverses just for entertainment.
>>47347757
I can respect that.
>>
>>47347695
How would that be?
>>
>>47347771
I know what you've been talking about, I was showing you that just because something has not been explicitly forbidden by the creator (Who left long ago now) does not mean it is perfectly acceptable. It also doesn't change the fact that you're trying to wank a item with a reasonable explanation as bypassing one of the core parts of Jumpchain with ease.
>>
>>47347801
Ah, no I wasn't I was merely asking if the wank was permissible by the popular mass. I could have just used head-canon, as others have done so in the past, but I like to think of this as a community. I am being nice about this and asking about it. I know these kinds of things cause a stir so I thought to bring it forward before anyone starts tearing it down later, a point at which I wouldn't even think of pulling it down.
>>
>>47347858
>Asking the community
And every answer so far has been "no" or "Not until you spark" so why are you still talking about it?
>>
>>47347865
Mostly because this subject is more interesting to me than what music I use during epic fights, and because I haven't actually been given a 'No' answer. People have merely been saying it's wank, which it is, and Crux gave a good reasonable explanation for what would happen even if I did so. Again their is no need to get heated, this is a place where we can calmly debate such things.

Yes, I understand that the consensus has been negative, however this isn't a question, at this point, of whether it is wank or not, it is.
Now I wanna know why it isn't permissible to revisit worlds from Jumps of the past. What underlying rule have I broken by bringing this up?
>>
>>47347858
>but I like to think of this as a community.

>>
>>47347949
It's a chain, not a loop.
>>
>>47347949
JumpChain was intended to be a forward-facing journey, where the only way back to visit any of the places you've been to before is to either A) use the Return option in the Warehouse, or B) attain your Spark (and in doing so receive the "cosmic addresses" for every universe you've visited.

Since then, shit's happened. Like Slice of Life apparently deciding it was special enough to allow a 6-month-visit for every jump you went to, and thread in general disliking pretty much 90% of what Quicksilver ruled. So quite frankly - wank to the comfort level you feel is satisfying, because you'll have one or two people no doubt coming to your defense and it's all just going to result in yet one more /jc/ shit-throwing fest.
>>
>>47348021
So, 4chan as usual, eh?
As to Slice of Life, I don't do anything like that. The lowest powered settings I'm willing to go through was Harvest Moon, which I only did as part of my greater storyline. However I went in Powerless and Sickly just to up Jump-Chan's entertainment whilst I recovered from having my soul violated repeatedly.
>>
>>47347949
It's in the Rules pastebin, first section. "Individual worlds are frozen in time at the moment you leave them until you end your chain."

Jump-chan is the one doing the freezing, so Warehouse's Return is the only way to unlock the freeze for arbitrary worlds. There are a rare few jump rewards that do the same, but they only do so on a smaller scale and are more specific (Slice Of Life allowing you to return to Slice Of Life for 6 months per other jump) or otherwise limited (a perk in No Game No Life allows you to briefly summon people from past jumps as they were when that jump ended).

I remember being told it is either in the same galaxy or an alternate timeline though, so since presumably they'd have similarly vulnerable souls. On the other hand Fantasy!Slaanesh (no pun intended) is apparently much easier to beat up than 40K!Slaanesh. As in, physically possible at all when it's binged on too many souls.

>>47345294
Zombie armies raised this way are supernaturally strong and fast. You can mess up ghosts and spirits in a nasty way. It's implied there are some healing applications with it. Also, you can ride a dinosaur and it's considered a super-zombie because it's so old; older things make stronger zombies.

The magical NSA can be kept at bay by not raising human zombies, and not being reckless about it. Other than that, it's unclear. The necromancers who got corrupted by their own power were already awful sociopaths, while Cowl and Kumori seem fairly lucid but...they're working with the Outsiders, so it's unclear how much of their issues come from the necromancy and how much from their friends on the other side.

Just to clear things up, >>47347694 and >>47347682 has it right. Admittedly it's kind of a holdover from way back when it was more permissable to do things if they fit your narrative over the letter of the law in jumpchain, and where stuff like keeping drawbacks was treated more leniently if it was made clear that you were absolutely not benefitting from it in any way; in my case it was part of the beginning of things going wrong for my Jumper.

The "recurring nemesis fanwank" also applies to Umor and Lucifer for the purposes of my chain, and is otherwise the only manner in which I've deviated from the rules as written because I find it interesting to have challenges.

Anyway my understanding was in the future the Nexus just becomes like a piece of property you own, not a portal back to the jump because you can hang out in the Nexus but not use it to go back to the world of Demon's Souls.

Someone explain psionics to me, because where wherever I see them in a jump I always get a head ache trying to figure out how they're supposed to work according to that universes mostly internally consistent physics. Like, does BIOMEGA's [brainwave energy conversion] just straight up break the law of conservation of energy and mass?
>>
>>47348573
That depends on a lot of stuff. Psionics refer to a lot of different abilities in a lot of different fictional settings, ranging from science to magic to straight up reality warping bullshit.

In Biomega's case yes, it is a straight up anal annihilation of conservation of energy. It is the unholy shit-lovechild of Nihei tossing physics' salad when he goes in dry. Biomega takes so much pleasure in raping the laws of physics, it pays lip service to them as a premise to make breaking them seem all the more humiliating, like forcing your sub to play poker against you with their anus on stake.
>>
>>47348573
Psionics are mostly dependent on the world. The DnD world's variant is held to Power Points, a system of quantifying mental energy which can be used to break several laws of physics as long as you have the Power Points. Psychic powers from other worlds are limited in different ways, like the Raildex world having a Inner World - Outer World reaction. Don't know about BIOMEGA, sorry.
>>
>>47348503
Not going to lie, Speedster is OP compared to all of the other powers (in an alternate and more honest universe, the jump would be called Flashverse).

That said, Atmokinesis is an impressive power too, and I'll give Electricity Generation a mention for its synergy with being an Electric Conduit from Infamous.

being able to see spirits doesn't mean you can summon them.

Also there's a bunch of spirits who want to trick people into summoning them inside themselves so they can take over the world by being able to use their powers safe inside human vessels. Their plan is doomed because they go mad from the isolation anyway, and start killing everything in sight.

Congratulations, you gaev Faquarl and Nouda a head start for letting spirits taking revenge on humanity.

Hm. I already have most of my gateway powers down. Sending the sinful to Hell, being able to take transformations that drive you crazy without going crazy, power copying, amping and performing variations and fusions of copies powers, anti magic, anti insta death, anti mind control being able to call for help everywhere, super science in many fields, loads of magic, magic overcharging, being able to make one super attack with all my magic and being able to use any item. I also have attained Super Jumper 3 on top of my final form.

Is there anything that powers up preexisting skills like trance and overdrive do so I can attain Super Jumper 4? And what are abilities or items that pierce all defenses? And is there anything that lifts alignment restrictions for jump powers and not just items? I kinda feel like those would be the last gateway abilities I need.

Psionics as a term is pretty much just another way of saying "psychic powers".

In the case of Biomega, I don't think it breaks the law of conservation of energy and mass because -in that universe- brains seem to generate some kind of energy all of their own.
When you convert a brainwave to normal energy (like with the big-ass cannon they use in the manga) the process clearly leaves the people nearby unconscious. To me that says that the energy isn't being created out of nowhere and is just travelling from one place to the next, leaving the source drained and with energy being wasted along the way.

Does it break physics in other universes when you bring it to a new jump? You're goddamn right it does.

But the brainwave conversion is nowhere near as broken as the creation of the Regenerator, however, which is straight-up reality warping, creating billions and billions of cubic kilometers of matter and life from apparently nothing and distorting time in the process.

I regret not taking your autism into account but-look, spirits, left to their own devices would want nothing to do with the human world.

Humans summoned spirits, subjugating them to agony because of Earthly physics' effect on their spiritual essence. You know, that thing you always complain about?

What I'm trying to say is-the magician-spirit system is a completely unequal tyranny that is morally wrong even by your debased standards. Especially, even. You talk a lot about freedom, but you're enabling the oppression and torture of innocent beings on a greater scale than the magicians could ever dream of, and building up way more resentment towards humans in the long run.
>>

Yeah, but if I don't people are going to use them as a way to bully each other, and this is too early a jump for me to reasonably say I cut the connection between the spirit world and the human world. Which I do plan on doing post spark, this is a compromise in the meantime.
>>
Oh, and I should note: The spirits' natural existence in the Other Place is actually a benign form of your Warpwyld proposal. it's a kind of hivemind in a state of constant flux where pure essence is formless and everything is kind of at peace with everything else.

The difference being? 1. It's a perfectly valid stance for them to take because again-it's NATURAL for them to exist like this and 2. the physics of Earth are so alien to it that they have NEITHER THE MEANS NOR THE MOTIVATION to meaningfully interact with them, and they are uncomfortable for them to even interact with; each time you summon a spirit you are fracturing and diminishing a fragment of a limitless hivemind and binding it to arbitrary terms.

The whole issue with summoning is that it only benefits magicians while taxing spirits' life energy for lack of a better word.

>>47349083
And this isn't a fucking compromise. You are actively and knowingly making the situation worse by allowing more spirits to be hurt, and thus encouraging more Faquarls to make a bid for revenge down the line.

But honestly at this point hypocrisy is the least of your issues when

I do have a "true" name, which is known only to my closest friends -- which doesn't even include ALL my companions, but rather a very small fraction of them. 2. Provoking the /tg/ parliament by RPing as your Jumper there
3. Holding inane grudges for no reason with various anons, Val and ASA. Just wait-you're gonna try and justify that last one again some fucking how, proving how your worthless and insincere your apology from many threads ago is

Not him, but I'd guess because you're a moron with absolutely no ability to be constructive or think things through that parrots insane ideals and claims they're morally just in all their actions. 6. Your pathetic oneupmanship and need to dickmeasure against other people in general. Which I have to emphasise, is bad when I'm bringing it up as character flaw HERE of all places because you are the only person who's ever tried to flagrantly break the no multiplayer rule

Well the name is an interesting thing, I tend to assume I have a different name each setting barring drop in or similar circumstances. Notably Joseph Robertson (what I went by for Alpha Centauri and Soul Eater, my first two jumps this chain, as well as my default fake name), and Gally (Gunnm, my third jump and where two of my companions come from, was also amnesiac so my usual alias didn't matter) are the ones usually used by my companions when we're not bothering to blend in. Other notable ones have included Joshua Joestar (Jojo) and Grimmnar the Unwise (S&S).

Or at least I go by my nickname from when I was a non-jumper with maybe some more affected titles like Hazard or whatnot, the Digger thing is just cause it'd be really unimpressive if I went around calling myself Edd unless I was trying to make myself seem comfortable to people. >>
>>47349018
I had thought about going with a different name, but it never felt right.
Every name I would come up with either had no meaning to it or functioned more as a title than a name. I couldn't just choose a name that sounded cool because then I would probably end up changing it every couple years or so. Taking a name of a character I liked would be both awkward when I encountered them later and constantly give me a sense that I have to live up to the name and match it's owner.
My own name just... feels right. It's not really cool but it's also not terribly common. The only weight it comes with is that it is the name I've used all my life.
So yes, I still go by my real name.

My full name however I just dropped as soon as I took a background that wasn't Drop-in.
I mean, I already had a middle name from my father's name, my last name from my father's side, my Confirmation name, and I even contained both the last name of my mothers family and that last name of the doctor who oversaw my delivery in birth.
For those not keeping track, that's 5 names PLUS my first name. If I did not decide to drop them, I could end up like Kitten from the Emperor's Text-to-Speech Device.

The other Great Ones just want to have a baby with humans as a medium/incubate Mergo, the rare successful babby Great One, who was still apparently stillborn although the Orphan's final scene implies "death" is just another part of the Great Ones' natural life cycle; Mergo's apparently alive enough to be pushed around in a baby carriage before you "kill" it. The problem is Great Ones are so alien that they have difficulty comprehending what humans want/why they tend to go braindead and insane from growing eyes on their brain, even though most of them aren't actively trying to fuck us over. A few are even trying to protect us from the others; Rom's blocking either Odeon and/or the Moon Presence from interfering given the blood transformations and red moon only happen after she's slain, and the Moon Presence/Flora itself is implied to have created the Hunter's Dream in the first place at the behest of other hunters so they'd have a chance of fighting off the Great Ones, and it's implied Gehrman is its' own adoptive child

Then I react with tomahawk missiles

Praxagora: I want all to have a share of everything and all property to be in common; there will no longer be either rich or poor; [...] I shall begin by making land, money, everything that is private property, common to all. [...]
Blepyrus: But who will till the soil?
Praxagora: The slaves.

>You can't do that for Lovecraft because at the end of the Jump all drawback are explicitly revoked. It says so in the Jump.
Yes, drawbacks are revoked after the end of a jump, any jump. However, its a sort of officially accepted norm that if you want to keep a drawback from jump to jump you can. You just don't get any more CP from it, you can't toggle it off and on, and it has to be a real drawback.

It's basically a way to carry a theme or thread throughout your overarching chain narrative. Its not a metagame to get more power or advantage.

There's a nifty trick we reverse engineered from Symphogear through the Nemean Hide-moving adjacent to reality. Combined with the higher dimensional applications of AIM fused into a Dust-converted form of GUNNM's D-Ripper, a reverse engineered form of the Sting wavelength achieved using Ar Tonelico's Creative Composition and the power of the Correspondence, and we have developed a form of super-intangibility by existing simultaneously at an arbitrary number of space-time coordinates, and manually selecting which ones are susceptible to being affected at any given time.

When we can't be bothered to even put up a portal or use Bounded Fields to put limitless space traps between us and an opponent? We just stand still and let everything phase through us. Maybe study the attack if it's unique enough to merit recalibrating our defences some more.

I can't vouch for Lunar Dial because it's from Touhou, it's used by a human and therefore I have idea where it sits on the powerlevel scale but it's there and it's a capstone so make of that what you will

There's always Stands of course. And being a relevant kami of time in Okami. And specialising in time as your Witchcraft focus in Narnia.

Umbra Witches and Lumen Sages come with a lot of other hat tricks as well as timestops in Bayonetta.

Siren: The Curse has weaponisable time loops that can drive your foes insane, although they're associated with an eldritch abomination

Finally, there's History Monk from Discworld. You can basically do everything you could with Time Alter Accel but better and with less risk of personal injury, and with greater breadth of applications.

Ah, good to know.

>haven't you lost the ability

...yep.

It's.

Yeah. It's gone.

We still sometimes reach for her out of habit only to only call on a conspicuous absence of cosmic fire.

It's very disconcerting, having to rely on our own soul and psychic fires instead instead of having her helping hands. Quite a few of our companions are trying to cheer us in their own ways but.

We just need some time alone for now.

Don't waifu crazy is terrible advice for a Jumper. Don't companion crazy, on the other hand? Much more important.
>>
>>47350546
Because it legitimately is a lewd setting, and those aren't allowed.

How lewd is it?

No it isn't. It's about adventurous archaeologists. The fact that they have a lot of sex is no more relevant to the Jump than it is to James Bond.

Hey /jc/, what'd you take as a third jump?
>>
This is stupid, whats next are they going to ban One piece because of all the leather clad transsexuals?
>>
>>47351994
Conduit.

I went PM, PMD, and then Conduit. It felt good to get back to something resembling the real world after cartoonsville.
>>
>>47351994
TOME. Good early power up, and pretty safe if you don't get banned for being a dickbag.
>>
>>47351994
Discworld. Following the first (rolled) Dark Souls and then Lost Valley of the Robo-Fuhrer.

It was not helped by the spell living in my brain or the insanity from drawbacks. But at least I got a professorship out of it.
>>
>>47351994
SIM3. It's the perfect low level jump, and a good way to introduce you to settings that are similar to earth but just a bit different.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Mainly 'cos this was way back before people started to choose their own jump around the #32ish thread. Mind you, Pokemon and Infamous are pretty decent ways to prep yourself as 1st/2nd jumps if you're planning to spend a lot of time in urban areas.
>>
>>47351994
PMD, since I wanted to take InFamous before that.
>>
In One Piece, should the effect of seastone/being under water for Devil Fruit eaters be considered drawback enforced? If I have Drain No form YJ would that counteract it?
>>
>>47351994
PMD
>>
>>47352157
I don't think so because.

Well.

They're not part of a drawback.

I'm not sure if Drain No is intended to guard against environmental effects though; "attempts" seems to indicate it's meant for things like a wizard stealing your laser vision. Probably should ask YJanon just to be safe.
>>
>>47352157
I think the effect is more an internal part of the powers reacting to exterior stimuli, so I tend to think not.

^Mostly just opinion.

>>
>>47352355
Anon, if you're going to say 'haters never matter make your jump no matter what' then that applies to ALL jumps. Hell, that applies stuff like Artemis Fowl and Exalted that you banned for being terrible too. Temper your words.
>>
>>47352234
Googling seems to show a something along the lines of 'the American comic equivalent of a fan-servicey manga'. The artist does other porn series/art, but this is a published US comic starting in 1991 and still going.
>>
>>47351925
I personally don't see the point when the vitriol of the majority will get it shouted down from ever being put on the drive. So I really, really don't understand why people like the MonMu jump's advocates keep trying to basically nag it on. It's like they don't understand the basic concept of negative reinforcement, or the fundamental lack of direct coercive power on an imageboard.

>>47352224
How did you survive Fate/Extra that early? It's pretty damn bulshit by Fate standards unless you splurge hard on your Servant

>>47352292
Commonwealth, Brotherhood of Steel, House or Wild Card?
>>
>>47352378
I see. See? We can have discussions about this so everyone is clear and we can dismiss the guy complaining, instead of instantly dismissing everyone who asks or has concerns as a troll. That's bad.
>>
>>47351994
It varies, but a personal favorite is Lyrical Nanoha. Decent to awe-inspiring power up, fairly idealistic world, ways to get comat experience without TOO high a risk of abrupt chain end.

And lots of handholding.
>>
>>47352376
Why was Artemis Fowl banned?
>>
>>47352408
It offered the strongest stuff in the setting for about 200 points iirc.
>>
>>47352408
Quality control and we caught it early on.
>>
>>47352388
I planned out all the things, got an awesome Servant in Lancer Scáthach, learned me some Digital Primordial Runes, and made damn sure that my Servant did most of the fighting.

No Game No Life being my first Jump pretty much saved my ass. Well, that and not challenging Saver.
>>
>>47352418
>>47352423
So an asshole made a shitty jump for it and now the setting is now banned, got it.
>>
>>47352408
It wasn't anything against the setting.
The jump was just poorly made.
>>
>>47352433
Also as far as I know the creator only ever posted on the Sufficient Velocity forums, never took any feedback from hereabouts, and it was actually reposted here by someone else. But yeah, Artemis Fowl's open game for anyone here who wants to take a crack at it.
>>
>>47352433
The jump itself is what got kicked, I think it is actually unclaimed at this point? Don't cite me on that one though.
>>
>>47352433

>>
>>47352433

>>47352388
Technically Brotherhood of Steel? I wasn't really their ally so much as they were the only force with enough firepower to defend the nation I struggled to carve out in the cascadia region. Managed to unite a bunch of settlements but for actual governance and protection of the region all the authority ended up going to the those tin cans since I certainly wasn't going to be able to defend it. Quite a few Chinese remnant ghouls in the area and bandit problems in the north were serious.
>>
>>47352376
Nobody's advocating for porn game Jumps, though. They're advocating a fanservicey comic which is getting shat on by genophobes for no reason whatsoever.
>>
>>47352450

>>47352479

...

...so, how about that season finale eh? Apparently a "bomb" made of souls>Amara>God>Michael if he wasn't insane>Castiel after devouring Limbo>Lucifer>Raphael=Gabriel>everything else
>>
>>47352500
Which is why I criticized the concept of 'ignore all haters', not Gold Digger itself. Anon's principles were disagreed with, not the comic.
>>
>>47352500
But Gold Digger is porn.

>>
>>47352542
I can. Too bad I've seen that exact same kind of post and sentiment used to defend every manner of pornography here in the past. Making myself clear isn't exactly doing harm unless you take offense to the idea of 'don't ignore criticism'.

It was my post, in fact. I intended it as support for the person making the Gold Digger Jump. I didn't intend it as an endorsement of Monster Girl Encyclopedia and Legend of the Overfiend, just a specific comic which meets community standards for non-lewd. If you jumped to the opposite conclusion, I can't help you; maybe you should learn what context is.

Gunnm, survived by skin of my teeth by picking my fights and befriending Desty. Managed to curb the worst of his stuff by using Secrets of Creation and clone bodies to create relatively willing test subjects. Also Black Blood and telepathy abuse, took awhile to reach that point due to amnesia, also ended up doing a good chunk of the ZOTT before managing to retrieve my meat brain and rejoin my conciousnesses into one. The Space Cult got especially messy, Jormangandr actually woke up for that one.

Was a mutant, favorite Karma Chameleon adaptations included increased hemorrhaging (because Black Blood can fix a lot of things), the replacement of large amounts of bones with muscle fibers to make breakage less of an issue, and sub brains in the extremities to allow them to function independently for a bit if cut off (that happened a lot especially early on when I wasn't in command of the blood). Never got much beyond the Werewolf healing factor (and in fact lost large chunks of it) due to the body seeing ease of repair as extraneous thanks to the regenerator nano and Black Blood, meaning a lot of things got reinforced in odd ways.
