Your jumper is now a final boss. What is your theme?
>>
Jumpers!

We've talked about becoming gods, throwing them down, and telling them to fuck off but do you ever go out of your way to make nice with them? Is there a god, goddess, or aspect that you make a point of reaching out to or communing with?

Goddesses of home and hearth. Whenever there's a pantheon that's full of jerks, the hearth goddess tends to be the sole exception. So I go out of my way to make their lives easier, they deserve the help.

True facts. Most of the times, if the god isn't a dick, I'll pop in and say hi.

Hey, NWNanon - I'm sure you're probably asleep, but I was curious whether the Fighter perk negated the issues with Spellcasting in armor, using Ki with weapons and armor, and so on.

Ammy. Regardless of what you think of most Gods, there's absolutely no reason not to give Ammy all the headpats and your very best homemade God biscuit.
>>
>>47217711
I make it a point to respect every god that shows up. Yes, even the assholes. I may not like how they do things at times but just because you don't like someone doesn't mean you can't respect them for what they are capable of.

If a deity is nice, I'll probably do what I can to help them. Doesn't matter what their portfolio is, if they're not a dick then they're someone I'll want to chat it up with and make nice with. If they're a dick, I just avoid them.

It's only in very very rare cases, like in FF14, that I actually will do anything antagonistic to them.
>>
>>47217793
Such a fucking amazing chapter. Also, I can sorta see it, but only if the Jumper in question took a "Only In-Jump perks" Drawback. Would be sweet seeing a jumper having to deal with being so relatively low-power.

Are we talking about having a AfO power?

There was an anon making a Hero Academia Jump already, and he already said that he won't use give the jumpers AfO.

Such a shame. Although AfO is no where low-power, considering that he can create and control super-humans, steal powers without touching and combining them.

So, I try to do right by magic, knowledge, wisdom, and justice. I'll admit though, one that I always take care of if beauty. I've taken enough perks that it's equal parts hunger, looking for blessings, and self preservation, jealous deities.

I really doubled down in TES and Skyrim where I spent the majority of those jumps working and questing for Dibella. I created new temples, helped out her followers and spread her message. I wanked that by the end of Skyrim she touched me and I got a goodish beauty buff out of it.

Despite my reputation I am generally okay with gods that aren't massive dicks who want to crack the setting in two.
It's just... y'know. I don't really differentiate between them and a normal human. The only "difference" is that they have the sort of raw power to do whatever they want. In some settings, even humans can attain that power. There really is no difference between the two.
So, I am generally nice to the ones that are nice, and not to the ones who are not.

On a more personal level, I got along pretty well with Ammy after she beat me up.

I also have something of a soft spot for Loki and his children, even though he is sometimes a dick and sometimes wants to break the setting, but that's probably just because he's also my dad.

A question for SMT anon. What does The Overlord’s Seat actually do for you if you are a demon? As far as I can tell it stops you from “leveling up” or gaining any more power until it is completely filled up, but after that it breaks your limiter so you can gain more power than before, and much more quickly.

Is that right, or am I reading it all wrong?
>>
>>47218245
That is correct.
>>
>>47217969
>There was an anon making a Hero Academia Jump already
Yeah, an anon posted a jump of that setting a while back. I think it was a pretty good start, I'd like there to be more Quirks and I had a couple of complaints and suggestions about some of the perks, but a lot of people don't want a jump to be made yet because it seems like we're still kind of early in the story and it would be a pain to change it later if shonen syndrome sets in.

I really wish there was a "copy and combine" power somewhere. Maybe a nerfed version of it could work? Consider something like this as a high-level power available for some jump with powers:

You can copy powers by touch, though you only have a certain amount of "storage space" for powers, which you can increase by training. You can drop stored powers at any time to get more space. The amount of space a power takes up is a function of its complexity and power level, and trying to copy a power that you don't have enough empty space for forces you to either drop the power or dump old ones. If you try to copy a power that would exceed your maximum storage, you instead get a nerfed version that uses up all your space and has its power reduced to your carrying capacity.

You could maybe add in something about being able to give stored powers to others as a temporary powerup, though you'd also lose that power and wouldn't be able to copy it again for a while, or drop the "getting nerfed versions of too-strong powers" thing, but I don't think this is too bad a power, right?

Like, what. Meming during jumps? No, not generally.
Sometimes I make a joke that nobody gets, and then I feel really sad. I learned to stop doing that really quick. It exacerbates loneliness.
You just learn to stop talking after awhile.

Archer was actually a really fun jump for me, because I could talk about pop culture and people would get it.

I also memed it up a bit during Undertale, but even that was pretty limited, thanks to everyone literally living underneath a huge rock for the past thousand years.
Me and Alphys did start belting out Mew Mew Kissy Cutie references from time to time, though. But she always got so MAD when I did ones from the sequel. Look, the added fight scenes were great! And the transformation sequences...! So awesome...! I'm sorry not everything is your moe trash, Alphy! That's not real life! Real life is all inclusive! It has giant robots!
There are giant robots on the surface RIGHT NOW and you just can't HANDLE it!

This thread is two hours old, and was created after the death of the previous thread.
Does that really change anything?
>>
>>47219013
If you mean the second ability, you just wave your arm and teleport them several kilometers out of whatever city you're in. If you mean the first, I honestly don't know what you're asking.

Whatever you're doing needs to have the potential to occur in the first place, basically. If there could be a thunderstorm in a city, you can cause it to happen early. If lightning could strike, you can make it happen when and where you wish it to. But you can't just pull stuff out of nowhere, which is why you can't bring rain to a place where there barely are any clouds.

...Reading your post again, I feel like you might be asking something else, but I can't figure out what it is.

A Certain Magical Index

27 years old
Drop-In
Liberal Arts City
Evocation 50
Index 350
Ritualist 450
Sorcerer 550
Esper - Electromaster 1150
Channelling 1250
Symbolic Weapon 1300
Biter 1200
Tech-Illiterate 1000

Dropped in for the Index thing which I don't totally understand but grimoires seem a big deal and no brain poison seems like a good thing.

Speaking of brain poison I'm choosing drugs as my theme. Drugs was my element in Captain Planet so I can already produce them and multiply them. Now I have to dress like them (?) to do magic or something. Not pretending to have any understanding over how any of this works but drug magic made me smile wryly to myself as if to say 'that'll do cats, that'll do'. Lots of weird psychedelic effects.

Evocation, Ritualist, Sorcerer and Channeling are all different sorts of 'more magic' perks. Blasting, preparing, teaching and empowering objects.

Symbolic Weapon is a neat thing to add on to the Stick. More magic power when blasted out of it.

Biter and Tech-Illiterate makes me want to bite people when I'm angry and makes me really terrible at using technology. Generally don't get angry (and frankly if I do there's probably someone there who deserves to get bit). Hopefully my technophobia won't set off my biting. Need to get back to England though.

Not even sure if you can go to both this and the Scientific Railgun jump. If so I now have both the Clairvoyance stuff from that and Electromaster for this. If not I've wasted 20 minutes either just now doing this build or 20 minutes some months ago when I did a Scientific Railgun build.

If anyone knows answers on a postcard pls.

I'm pretty sure he just wants to give all the girls giant balloon tits.
So, unless he's taken a certain jump, power level is unaffected.

Doing both is pretty naughty. It was initially intended as an either/or situation; however, it has laxed to "jump on opposite sides of your chain plz" as far is I can tell.

The screen is blue now.

That's his special attack.

>>47218847
It's hard to meme when there's no computers in existence-not impossible, though.

But being as we're technically super-Moot in every jump since Kid Radd, with great power comes great responsibility. Only the dankest, mastercraft memes get released and propagated.

Also way back in DC (jump #39) Bane received a lot of cryptic messages, death threats and weight loss ads apparently traced back to the CIA.

>>47217711
As a general rule of thumb the firm but fair and dutiful ones earn our respect even if our natures are opposed. Great power and responsibility, etc.

Heck, Odin's practically a kindred spirit to us as well as the only being other than Jibril who's been in a pod for more than 400 jumps. Some, like Glorificus and Madoka, we helped out of a hard spot we felt they didn't deserve to be in. We always help out the Titans whenever there's a version of their pantheon, because they get way too much bad press.

Things are kinda awkward with one or two. We're cool with Warhammer Fantasy!Isha, even if we thought she was a bit of a naif-who unlike Madoka, didn't have the luxury of being a supreme being to back that up. Likewise we consider Lucifer the creator of Chaos to be a worthy opponent even if we completely disagree with his philosophy.

Oh, and there's a few of our companions who we've helped become gods of course-like Brigid and the Farrow sisters.

We do, however, make a point of reminding the irredeemably destructive ones to stay in line if they want to keep meaningfully existing. Regardless of their standing. We may be tyrannical despair incarnate, but we refuse to pay respect to those who take their domain for granted.
>>
>>47219928
>>47219968
So naughty and probably not allowed.

Guess magic is the one to go for then given you can get the bulk of what you get from Scientific with one perk.

I'll keep them both until I see Reploid either here or in the IRC and then pester him about it. Then fold science into this one by deleting the science build and giving myself Clairvoyance in this after he calls me a dopey cheating cuntbag. Hypothetical Reploid don't fuck about.

>>
Outside of going Templar in DAO or DAI, what do we have for attacks that sap a target of magic or make a target unable to cast?
>>
>>47220214
Well, assuming that was your first jump since I know nothing about your chain... probably something like 10% chance of you living.

You're more than powerful enough to deal with anyone that isn't unique, but World of Chaos means you'll HAVE to fight those people eventually, and you'll likely be tired and broken by the time they decide to deal with you due to having no allies and a frankly comedic amount of enemies to go through in order to achieve anything.

Also, I somehow completely missed this.

>>47213308
The Trials of Masakado, as the drawback itself states, is not based on power or skill. To win your fights you need to do what the more ordinary MegaTen protags do and go beyond the impossible with your human grit alone. Just having mental perks to make you a match for a shounen hero isn't enough either. As the drawback says, it's like all of your Perks are gone when you fight them. If you want to stand proud in front of one of them, not cowering due to the knowledge that they could smite you without even really trying, then the "You" you are without perks needs to be courageous enough to tell gods to piss off.

Of course, there are chain-wide interpretations of how mental perks work that make the drawback moot.
>>
>>47220506
I don't think I ever saw Fishman Karate during the brief period where it was relevant. Black Leg Style is Sanji's, though, and he's a main protagonist who remains relevant throughout the story, gets stronger and stronger as time goes on in true shonen style, so I'm going to say that one.

It's a two part battle:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbsBEb1ZxWA&ab_channel=CaravanPalace

The first fight is going to be a frantic mess of magic and lightshows and not tripping over toy trains.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inED9IicIpc&ab_channel=malawolf85

And then after they kick my ass, I use This Is, In Fact, My Final Form and things get weirdly peaceful. There's lots of running and jumping over floating bits of battlefield, but the main attack is portals teleporting you back to the edge of wherever the fights taking place.

>>47217711
I take a lot of communing with spirits perks. Like a lot. I'm also a druid, can talk to animals, elements, and cities. Basically, I skip gods and go straight to talking to things that actually matter, like the world itself. The world itself is usually dicks, but for some reason I can forgive it for being as such.

Hm, that's better than expected. Should be able to manage then, with about 450jumps in... Including Devil Survivor (Overlord of Bel, go!), Digital Devil Saga, Persona, through I'm not sure if I should slot this in before or after DS2.

>>47220913
Ravenloft is very survivable. You just can't do anything too grand in it. Plenty of evil beings aren't darklords. You can even fight evil and be perfectly alright, so long as you don't go "kill 'em all". Ravenloft picks up on extremist mindsets and people who are incapable of admitting their mistakes and toys with them, but otherwise it's just a DnD world skewed towards evil.
>>
>>47220997
It captured Jander Sunstar out of FR and brought him to Ravenloft to irritate and challenge Strahd. Then when Jander was dying after his fight with Strahd, Ravenloft tried to heal him to keep him around and nurse the grudge. He literally had to kill himself to get off the ride.

You're right, it's survivable, but its on the short list of jumps where you have to play it really smart.

It's possible that Jusenkyo curses might not be negative enough to trigger that ability. The altered form itself doesn't seem that bad, and can be beneficial without help from other perks, it's the inability to control the shift that causes problems.

My, completely lacking authority, guess as to how they would interact? You'd probably get a lot more leeway in what constitutes "hot" water or "cold" water, depending on what you want at the moment. I. e., you'd probably need water that's only a few degrees above freezing to make you change involuntarily, but water that's only slightly cool might be enough it you're trying to change.

> >Enhanced Mastery
> >D&D classes
>You know, I don't know why but I never thought of this pairing before. It seems obvious, but how insane is that? I mean, how would that even work. Would it increase your XP gains by 720x? Would it reduce the XP / level needed by a 720x?

Short answer: No.

>pulls out DM's screen, sets it up, sits behind it, hands Anon a character sheet

Long answer: In very rough 3.5E terms, you'd get something along the lines of the following benefits: 1 free point each day (non-cumulative) to spend on any skill you wanted regardless of the level cap, but each rank of a particular skill would cost that many points; no XP penalties for multi-classing; an XP bonus if you are advancing a non-prestige class in which you have less than 5 levels (the less levels the bigger the bonus); the ability to always Take 10 on a skill check and even on attack rolls and Reflex saving throws ("you always perform at the top of your game").

Further explanation: XP in 3.5E is an abstraction mechanic involving developed attributes, not just skill, and the ratio swings asymptotically towards the former past level 5; developed attributes are not affected by Enhanced Mastery. Speaking of which, "720x" is the rate you get when you're a complete N00b. For some reason the line "As a rough guideline treat hours as months for learning and training time" is memorable to jumpers while the line "Your growth slows down from [among the experts] but your ability to learn means that you always see noticeable increases in your skills whenever you put effort into them, with continual refinement always possible" gets forgotten. Funny how that works.
>>
>>47221619
And of course it ate the line that it was in reference to >>47215492 from last thread.
>>
>>47221619
Iterative Improvement is better, anyway. You're Dauntless, only with the ability to save charge, constantly-growing rate at which you accumulate charge, no need to waste time increasing your object's durability before you can get to actually producing powers, and conscious control over what powers you produce. Combine it with a power that lets you absorb items and you have arbitrary access to any ability you might want.

No one is being unreasonable, anon. Passive-aggressive posting isn't helpful.

If I were to guess why people do what you say, it's because a wank is about possibility, so you can accept or reject it, whereas a ruling is not as mutable. Jump makers have the right to arbitrate how the mechanics of their jumps work, others do not. So if someone has framed their response in a definitive manner, then it’s not unreasonable to want to know if said person can make that type of ruling. Don't mine salt where it doesn't present itself.

This is a best guess on mechanics as an anon who's played and DM'd far too much D&D (inner deadpool: "there's no such thing!"), based on quotes from the Enhanced Mastery perk - which specifically says it only works on skills, not developed attributes, and that its rate of growth slows down once you hit expert levels, which it puts above professionals (which would make the former in 3.5E D&D terms about 4 to 5 ranks in a skill or the same in levels in a class).

Thanks for your response, and for clarifying who you are.

I don't agree with your assessment, I think it depends on conflating D&D nomenclature with words that are used as common useage words in the Worm document but it was a well thought out response all the same.

Thanks!

>>47221731
Here. Through keep in mind these are just suggestion/speculation on my part. A Page of Light would have great potential in Light. Mostly a pretty subtle aspect, which includes knowledge, luck, actual light, and such.

So you'd probably develop a great ability to gain knowledge, maybe perfect memory and being really, really good at finding information? Not necessarily skills, but more being a walking library of knowledge.

In terms of more obvious powers, you'd be ridiculously lucky, stupidly so. Think throwing up a set of eight d8s and getting 8s on every single one every time you want to. You enemies missing you every time they tried to do something to you, basically really blatant plot armor. You could even 'attack' by causing stuff to go wrong for them. Expect to win lots of lotteries. If it's probability-based, you have the edge.

You probably be able to fill in for a lighthouse too? I guess? It would be more searchlights and great auras of light around you than lasers through. Praise the Sun.

Of course, you'd start out unlucky and mostly ignorant of stuff, as is the way of Pages.

I think this depends on the god really. In a few jumps I am related to gods so I try and usually be respectful to my parents.
After a few perks I am usually pretty good with nature deities unless I make it a point to piss them off. I also power leveled my cooking skills so I like to strike up friendly rivalries with whatever god or goddess would cover cooking as part of their domains. Though it gets a little awkward when I win. They aren't wrath prone but they tend to be very nice and beating them at their specialty tends to make you feel like a total ass.

>>
>>47217711
Depends on their attitude. They don't get any extra respect over what people receive.
>>
>>47222183
Yes, but given that it could eventually give you any of those other powers, I think it's the best.
>>
>>47222041
Hmm, which nomenclature/words do you think I've conflated? Worm's EM gives as its examples of developed attributes, "strength" and "energy pools"; XP is used in 3.5E to obtain levels and "spent" to cast certain spells and make magic items, and leveling increases a whole bunch of things, not just skills.

EM would, I'd say, also allow you to learn D&D feats outside of the levelling mechanic, but... *record scritch* or did you mean that D&D's nomenclature doesn't match 1:1 with the Worm jump's nomenclature? Because I'd absolutely agree with that. It's why I used the phrase "in _very rough_ 3.5E terms, you'd get _something along the lines of_ the following benefits" (underscored here for additional emphasis).

I need a name for this slime.
Anyway, as one would expect from this build, she specializes in summoning and setting up spells beforehand, including making talismans and potions that produce mobs when thrown to the ground. Also various buffs and healing.
When we're in the city she usually just hangs out in a pot. Although, I can probably make some kind of hologram disguise system for her to get rid of any form oddities. She can just borrow one of mine.

Anyway, together we are the GREAT HERO Black Knight's loyal sidekicks, who provide him with buffs and equipment, and also perform a lot of background scientific stuff.
Honestly we're more like Mission Control than sidekicks, but hey.

I wanna be the very best
Like no one ever was
To catch them is my real test
To strain them is my cause

I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide
Each demon thing to understand
The power that's inside

Megami! Gotta catch 'em all! It's you and me
I know it's my destiny,
Megami! Oh you're my best friend
Or so that's what I'll pretend
Megami! A heart so blue
My courage will pull me through,

You teach me and I'll put you through a strainer and tear you apart before using the power of science to understand and control your power for myself
MEGAMIIII! Gotta catch'em all
Gotta catch'em all
Megami!

Fuck it! You know what's better than mad science? DRUNK SCIENCE!
I'll make a demon shaped like a giant dick! And then stick a remote control in it! And then use it to fight angels! And then yell "MINE'S BIGGER" the whole time!
I DON'T GIVE A FUCK!

Criminal Lawyer - 600 - Discount Lawyer

You have an alarming success rate when it comes to convincing people that either you or your clients are innocent of any crime you “supposedly” committed. You handle the law like a chimp with a machine gun, have innumerable contacts within the seedy underbelly of society wherever you go and you’re… actually quite good at practicing the law.

------------------------------------------

Origins are Drop-In, Chemist, Gangster and Lawyer.

Struggling most with items which is to be expected currently have a hat, some suits, a mineral collection, a lab, a tonne of crystal meth, a fast food chain, an office in a stupid place (e.g. one in the back of a salon), a law degree and the obvious companion import.

If anyone has any suggestions for any content really that'd be nice. Already have about 12 drawbacks and if there's an obvious quote I've probably already got a perk called it.
>>
>>47223609
Depends on what metal they're using and how thick it is. The physics of impact liquefaction are a bit complex. It's probably at least a kilometer per second, though.
>>
>>47223609
He'd get owned in DBZ, guy can't even planet bust (He can only wipe out surface life) so he's outmatched by the Saiyan Saga. He could probably be a top tier fighter in Dragonball though, easily end boss level in that series.
>>
>>47223734
The different media for OPM are inconsistent as to whether Boros could planet bust or just wipe out life.
>>
What would /jc/ think of a Shadow Warrior jump?

Closest thing we have is the Viscera Cleanup background, but that's just cleaning up the aftermath.
>>
>>47223768
Meh, even if he is a planet buster, that was with his ultimate attack in his strongest form. Vegeta could do it in his base form with his not!kamehameha and could make himself several times stronger with the great ape mode. Frieza could do it with a finger in his base form. Either way, Boros doesn't match up to Saiyan Saga Vegeta as a villain. Maybe Raditz or Nappa.
>>

Hey, about that Divinity A+++ and Item Creation EX combo, here's my reasoning:

Gods are able to mate with humans, bringing about demi-gods of various strength like Heracles and Cú Chulainn. It is possible for demi-gods to ascend to full godhood like Heracles. Heroic Spirits like Alexander the Great can obtain some Divinity through the addition of their legends to their power, even if they may not actually be true.

AT HIGH LEVELS ONE IS TREATED AS A MIXED RACE OF A DIVINE SPIRIT

Gilgamesh:
He was an ultimate, transcendent being so divine as to be two-thirds god and one-third human, and no others in the world could match him (Div A+)

He was a being embodying the two life sets of life forms, with the blood of those who had ruled and the blood of those who would rule from thereon.

existing independently as a being neither fully divine or human. He acquired the characteristics of both
>ACQUIRED CHARACTERISTICS OF BOTH

I'm not saying that you can be a Divine Spirit with Divinity A+++, but you can have some characteristics of a Divine Spirit, in this case ability to make Divine Constructs (adding 'divine' properties to whatever you create with your Item creation)
>>
>>47223842
>ACQUIRED CHARACTERISTICS OF BOTH
That doesn't mean that "can create Divine Constructs" is one of the characteristics he acquired.
>>
>>47223812
Go for it. More jumps are always good.
>>
>>47223842
Yes I did see you ALL CAPSing at me the same reasons you had for the whole argument. It doesn't change my mind. As other anons already said, just having characteristics doesn't mean you have every characteristic, Gil lacking some traits of humanity proving that. My answer remains the same, if you want to make something that counts as being made by a Divine Spirit, you need to be a Divine Spirit. Not a half god, a 3/4s god or any other fraction. If you want to make god things, be a god.
>>
>>47223812
I'm game. Both of the Shadow Warrior games are pretty fun, a jump would be welcome.
>>
>>47223867
>>47223883
Alright, I'm on it.
>>
>>47223812
This >>47223867
>>
>>47223880
Yeah, sorry about using caps.
So, why can't one have those characteristics that enable the creation of divine constructs. Not Immortality, not Authority over aspects of the world, but an aspect that improves one's main skill?
>>
>>47217793
Sauce?
>>
>>47223959
Because to me, a weapon with the trait of being made by a god requires you actually be a god. If you are not a god, then the things you make are not being made by a god. If Divine Constructs are described as things that have been made by Divine Spirits, then you need to be a Divine Spirit to make one and beings that are only partially Divine Spirits are not Divine Spirits.

I don't understand why you can't accept simple logic like that nor why you even want this so bad. They aren't inherently impossible to copy, it's just that Shirou personally cannot comprehend them and even that might not necessarily be permanent.
>>
Hey val, if you're still hanging around the thread, Roqueir's got a question for ya regarding the type-moon jump. He'd ask it himself, but capcha's fucking him over and he can't post, so he asked me to pass this on

"I just wanna know if you could buff EMIYA's Noble Phantasm to EX, and what would happen if you did"
>>
>>47224008
Mostly as a gimmick, a theme to the powers as a Caster. Divine creator/blacksmith, for example the divinity comes from Hephaestus or Athena
>>
Can't answer any more questions for a while, need to go out so these will be the last till I get back.

>>47224055
He'd probably be able to make things up to A+++ rank (Remember that all the projection are reduced one rank, so EX isn't possible for him though he may be able to make A+++ version of EX NPs), have the projections cost a significant amount energy less to summon outside of the reality marble, see a speed increase too in how quickly he can summon things and would likely make projecting non-sword things a good bit easier as well, though swords will always be the easiest and it won't ever go beyond projecting shields. And his RM summon will last a lot longer too, same length of time as Rider's did (Half an hour or so before being broken down). So a big boost to most of the factors involved in his ability.

>>47224059
Well, my answer remains the same, even more certain given your sources of inspiration are both the sorts that would be full EX Divine Spirits, not partial ones. If you want the flavour of being a full god, go be a full god.

>>
>>47224154
What?
No, I wasn't saying that items made with that combo would be better then those made with Item Construction EX alone, they'd be the same, except counting as Divine Constructs, and divinity coming from Hephaestus/Athena would only be the reason for divinity manifesting in the way it did because creating stuff is part of both god's domains.

So, I am admittedly a total weaboo.
Would anyone object if I used Shiny on my Starter Pokemon, Honedge, to change the style of sword?
Honedge to wakizashi, Doublade to duel wakizashis, and Aegislash to a Katana/Gunbai.

It's 10187 AG, so it's pre-Scattering by almost four thousand years and AI are shot on sight (and then nuked if being shot doesn't work). Pay the 100cp to buy your location, and choose a planet that was only colonized post-Scattering, e.g. Duvalle. There won't be any humans present, and maybe you can build a "lost alien city" or something to troll the colonists when they do arrive long after you've moved on.

Shoggoth alt-form plus NGE Angel alt-form plus summoning all the super special OC Donut Steel weapons I've made to become a massive, amorphous pincushion of death.
All while emitting outrageous amounts of radiation, toxins, and acids.

Depends on what kind of final boss you're talking about me being? Any situation I would tend to find myself in that seat would be a regretful one to say the least. My effort would be half-hearted, suitably dramatic, but ultimately anti-climatic. AOE Fire and Lightning attacks, giant sections of ground erupting, sudden waves of laser beams, that kind of stuff.

But if I was making a serious go at it for some reason? A few waves of Magic Missiles to probe defenses until a break appears, then I'd immediately leap in with Hybrid Panzerkuntz instead of a magical barrage like they would be expecting, finishing off my melee combo attack with a hardcore sonic attack. My standard Fighting Game strategy, hit-confirm into combo into Super Move.

Speaking of Marvel; since that and one more day was about the point I stopped fallowing them, will there be any negative fallout if I prevent/stop the Civil War? Also will that be enough to prevent one more day if we stop Civil war early enough?

Soooo, here's the problem with Civil War.

It was gonna happen sooner or later thanks to a lot of behind the scenes shit and factors. Especially with Thor's death and those dumbass kids who played being heroes.

The best you can do is making sure that the fallout isn't as bad as it otherwise would have been. And saving Aunt May's life.

Seriously, let her get shot, but make sure she lives after the Operation. Peter's complete obliteration of the King Pin was one of the best things that had ever happened and it set up the stage for a Spidey that didn't take shit from anyone.

166. Sonic the Hedgehog
Era: Adventure, Location: Central City
Age: 11, Origin: Mobian (-50)
Perks: Vacuum Immunity (-100), Iron Density (-50), Eggscape Artist (-200), Super Sonic Speed (-150), Super Sonic Reflexes (-150), Super Strength (-300)
Gear: Shoes and Gloves, Friendly Wisp [Dorito]

Vacuum Immunity that covers all my companions as well? Fuck yes. The rest of the perks are just generic physical boosts, but those are useful too. I have to live in this body.

As for the story of this jump: Fuck Eggman. I mean it. He could not give one lick about his dictatorship being a sustainable state of affairs when he takes control of the world. Throwing robots at the problem isn't a solution, fuck knuckle. A shitty dictator is not something I feel like putting up with, and Sonic can always use more allies. So, I was just another one of the gang, called up whenever Eggman went about trying to harvest the vast resources of the earth to tame it. There's not really much depth to this world, aside from a million exotic energy sources that are going to pop up and a few sapient robots to talk to.

I also stole a chaos emerald to add to the rock pile. I was aiming for all seven, but everyone was pretty defensive over them for some reason? Still, worth it.

"Final Boss" implies that:
1) This is a climactic battle to decide the fate of the world!, and
2) I'm the bad guy. Not your teammate or your partner in crime.
Or at the very least the "purposefully acting like a jerk and/or making a POINT" girl. This implies that I am not terribly concerned about things like "collateral damage".

So... >>47218233
Megalo Strike Back is kindof a playful, but intense tune. On Youtube it's been getting some associations with Chara, Gaster, and alternate tracks for Megalovania.
So general fuckery and nihilism.

If I'm really, seriously trying to murder someone (and not just flinging attacks around in a show of "hey you should probably go do something else maybe"), it typically involves huge attacks, like, town busting fireballs, floods (which may be flash frozen or poisoned), abrupt summoning of huge amounts of enemies (that possibly explode), orbital satellite lasers, and really in general just huge, city clearing attacks. Because fuck it.
This is still playing around, kindof...? This is "playing for real".

But if playtime is truly over, the above still applies, but let's throw in some portals into space (or some other hostile environment), philosopher's stone alchemy sigils, and/or attempts to forcibly rip reality apart using magical coding, madness auras, and dimensional magic.
Smash Bros' It's Not A Glitch It's A Feature helps with that last one.

If I think I'm gonna lose, I'll take the whole world down with me.

>>
>>47226479
> Actually how DOES 4th Wall Reliant work for someone with no metaknowledge?
Well, I'm pretty sure you lose ALL knowledge. So even really basic stuff like 'Peter Parker is Spiderman' would be lost to you. You'd forget who all the superheroes are. You might not even know who Doom is, depending on where you live.
Also? Totally possible you wouldn't know for certain that mutants aren't evil. You're walking in a blank slate, with only the knowledge a normal guy of your background would have. As far as you're concerned there never was a Marvel universe and the Benefactor just threw you into some weird fanfic superhero universe that she made up in her free time. The writing certainly reflects it after all.

So you may think you have no metaknowledge, but unless you've REALLY been living under a rock all these years, you totally do.
But it's true that it would effect someone more versed in the lore than someone who wasn't.

Golden Morning is what they called an alien god deciding to start ripping up planets for shits and giggles with the gold fuckoff beam. Seriously, he finds he enjoys blowing things up, and so he decides to start killing things for shits and giggles.

A good place to go would be literally anywhere he's not. As in other worlds. Better, space, once you've gone to a world that doesn't have an Endbringer chilling in orbit.

The premise is that there's a secret organization that locks up exotic, poorly understood people/entities/objects/places (SCPs, or skips for short), to protect them from the world and the world from them.

They've got an immortal omnicidal lizard, a sociopathic 6000 year old Semitic man who likes killing more than Krombopulous Michael, a human-sized doll made of concrete that is very homocidal but can only move when unobserved, and so much more.

Does the Reverse Engineering shard from Worm work on things that aren't strictly technology? For example, could I use it to help me find out the details as to how exactly a system of magic works in scientific terms or help me analyze the physiology of things like Supernatural demons to understand exactly what goes on when they possess someone?
If so, would it be too much of a stretch to use it to 'reverse engineer' someone's thinking process to let me understand them better?
>>
>>47224528
Yes. If you have Divinity EX and Item Creation A+++, you can make divine constructs, but they will not be Noble Phantasms. Divinity EX gives you everything that being a Divine Spirit does (Far as I'm aware, just being one isn't too powerful that it goes beyond EX) except for any effect that relies on Gaia or the World to support you.

Also you can only be a Servant once so unless you figure something out on your own, you can't have both at EX.
>>
>>47228638

>>

>>
>>47228693
Far as I can tell yes. It's just that things made by the gods (Which is all a Divine Construct really is) are also very often legendary weapons or items in myths that become Noble Phantasms.
>>
>>47228720
Any suggestions for who would be a good divine sponsor to have?
>>
>>47228728
So what is the difference, aside from some sort of 'legacy' aesthetic?
>>
>>47228769
Divine Constructs are things made by the gods. Noble Phantasms are legendary weapons wielded by Heroic Spirits. NPs can be DCs but aren't always.

If you're asking about difference in effects, there's not really any. Shirou has trouble comprehending them with his unique abilities, but that can simply be attributed to his still human mind or just lack of experience, given we never see Archer's reaction to one.

I bought 006, 500, and 914.
914 is my favorite. I call him Clocks.
I have been using him to upgrade my everything. It's great fun! I'm never without things to study or reverse engineer now!
Not to mention all the things I can do with it and Dr. Amp’s Wondrous Pixel Transmogrifier!

Although occasionally I have had to throw objects into the sun. Someone was asking, awhile ago, like maybe a week or two, what problems jumpers have had to throw into the sun? Those are my problems. The "oh god I've gone too far with science" problems.
Those are not good problems.

Aside from those purchases?
I spent a lot of resources cataloguing a huge expanse of SCP-1986 ("Imaginary Library") ... in addition to many parts of the Wanderer's Library, whom I worked for.
There are probably files on my warehouse computer that aren't safe to read by normal folk.

I also stole SCP-860 ("Blue Key"), copied a bunch of program related SCPs, beat up a "Hostile Walrus Cyborg", and made a bunch of new SCPs that were not actually SCPs but instead were just random magical or scientific crap I threw around to fuck with the Foundation and then they classified them as SCPs.
They mostly ended up classified as Safe or Euclid.

Except for the lance.

HAHAHAH! I still can't believe what they did with that.
>>
>>47228092
1756, 2914, a wide variety of 322, and a version of 1811. We tracked down the creator for the original SCP-1811 and politely requested to have one made that wouldn't eat anyone. Having unlimited reading material is lovely, even if sometimes you have to sort through the inane garbage it produces.

We also took SCP-1191 just to stop them from testing the thing. After explaining the affects it actually had the Foundation was willing to let us take if off their hands. Currently it's being stored in a jar of dirt in the warehouse. A companion whose perception's aren't damaged by reality warping removed the item, and even after explaining everything beforehand the staff was very irritated by my decision to let a known murderer transport something so dangerous...

I spent a large portion of the jump having custody of SCP-1906 but neglected to think of putting it in the zoo so I'd be able to keep him. While the Foundation informed me he was anomalous they also insisted he was completely harmless and would just die if brought within 500km of a city in Poland, and with a bit of lie-detecting I didn't have a problem believing them since we were more-or-less on the same side at this point. They neglected to mention how they were using it to spy on me.

Read the end of Worm - jumper!you can get a copy for 50cp or even free if dropin - find out what places are still intact after Gold Morning, hide up there just before Gold Morning, and hope that you haven't butterflied your bunker?

Alternatively, if you've got even a modicum of danger sense and a means to quickly zip off Somewhere Else that Scion can't follow, like a Cosmic Warehouse with Forcewall or a Mage's Mansion, or somewhere he wouldn't bother to go, like Mars, do that instead?

...I should've just posted a pic.

Anything order-y or stasis-esque would be cool. How does being the divine channeler of a concept work? If you technically are the anthropomorphic personification of a concept from somewhere else, can you channel yourself?
>>
>>47229385
I honestly kind of forgot I put the concept bit in, I'm suddenly wracking my brain to remember if that worked in Faerun or not.

Having checked. my memory failed me on that one. You can't be a cleric of no god in Faerun, that wall see's to that.

Kelemvor, the god of death, is the biggest lawful neutral god.

... maybe Kelemvor? He's pretty big on just... keeping the proverbial wheel turning, whatever the cost. He even maintains the Wall of the Faithless.

Actually, from what I've read on the wiki, he actually did try to tear it down when he first took over as Lord of the Dead, but the other gods pitched a fit about it and he was forced to put it back up.
Now he maintains all the old laws and such put in place by his predecessors because overturning them sets a bad precedent.
He seems pretty broken. honestly. Might be your kinda guy.

There's also Shar. I'm pretty sure one of her tenants is actually something like, "Never try to improve your lot in life." But she also hates everything and liked things better when everything was nothingness.
So probably more suitable for me, actually.

Personally, I just paid lip service to Mask. But I don't have clerical powers from that world, so it was mostly just a flavor thing.
>>
>>47229484
>>47229516
But Kelemvor is the biggest sissy coward ever. Who wants to serve a god that had the moral sense to realize the Wall was monstrous, and then let himself be bullied by the other 'GOOD' gods into keeping it? He doesn't deserve it.

...huh.

Alright thanks, going with Kelemvor for now. Seems like our kind of guy. We can bond over how broken the system is and how nobody appreciates the hard work needed to maintain it while covertly either looking for a loophole in the old laws so precedant isn't technically broken or working and/or working on an alternative io pitch to Ao as a more workable solution

>Shar

Huh, thought you'd have gone with that one god who wants to do technology but gets bullied by all the other gods whenever he pitches the idea.

>>47229546
To be fair aren't they pretty much all cowards, jerks or insane?

Just like most IRL pantheons
>>
>>47229516
The continued existence of the Wall makes no sense outside of WotC's round-robin circle... ahem... anyway, it requires too many gods to be in violation of their own alignment and/or pants-on-head retarded.
>>
>>47229546
You might as well say that of all the gods of Faerun. They are all largely horrible for that very reason.
So your choices are basically, "Follow a complete dickhole", or "don't get divine powers and make damn sure you never get sent to the afterlife."
There's not really a middle ground.

So if you're going to shoot for divine casting anyway, you might as well pick someone thematic.

Which, speaking of thematic...
>>47229516

... anyway, have fun with that, Anti-kun.

>>47229578
> Huh, thought you'd have gone with that one god who wants to do technology but gets bullied by all the other gods whenever he pitches the idea.
Gond? Yeah, I thought about it. It was a tossup, honestly. But ultimately I think I'm too selfish for that. They kindof want their inventions to go out and help people and are all about the spread of knowledge and I kindof think Faerun is dumb.
Not "I'm going to crack this setting like an egg" dumb, but still pretty high on the "I don't really want to help any of you people" dumb.

I chose Mask because he's a selfish prick and the god of thieves, and I figured "steal everything that isn't nailed down" was more my speed for the setting.
Knowledge being included in the purview of "everything" of course.

>>47229619
Agreed.

Armies of elite mooks spawning.
Laser bombarment
Normal bombs, including nano-bombs (As is nanites that give you cancer or rip you apart).
Mass psionic mind control to bring in more people (Kill your friends, your lovers and all those innocents people Hero).

Switching between forms (Some grant me size and power, others make me speedier and at least one is very tough and medium sized).

In general collateral damage means that the city might be gone as the Hero is on about the same level as me (Or fast enough to follow me around as I attempt to dodge or go against him).

And not the least I control the enviroment.

>Jumper, to Good Gods: I find it interesting how many of you decided the Wall had to continue existing, considering it was originally created by the god of decay, parasites and corruption as a way to secretly get a power-up so he could eat you all.
>Good Gods: ... what?
>Jumper: Very interesting indeed. By the way, on two completely un-related topics, what do you think of the claim that major artifacts can slip past divine protections against mind-affecting magics via soul harmonic resonance effects, and that the Wall forms a magic circle around the place where you all gather your fallen worshippers?
>Good Gods: ... oh, shit.

Because there's got be, y'know, an actual _reason_ for that pile of excrement.

Actually just teasing him relentlessly any time I catch him in a compromising position with Albedo.
Couldn't find a fallen angel arcane archer pic so that'll have to do for my character sheet. Also fucked up some details on the sheet so re-posting.

This is a weird jump, and honestly I'm just kind of coasting through it. I think I'll hitchhike across Europe, since it's clearly in Britain, and we'll go from there.

Familiars will be left behind, because they are fully sapient and thus count toward the companion limit.

Other stuff to talk about is pretty limited as well. The Light is coasting along and rooms are getting filled up, the helper monkeys, cyber-elves, and humans are cohabiting nicely. At least partially due to perks that help me guarantee that, but mostly because the helper monkeys are a designer species meant to get along with other races, and cyber-elves are happy to just do their own thing.

>the setting's biggest fuckup
I honestly hope that's on everyone's post spark to-do list. The Wall is an abomination. Hell, the afterlife as a whole is an abomination there.
>>
>>47229765
They require worship to keep existing. they like existing, the wall forces mortals to worship at least one of them or suffer.

That's the in setting logic anyway.
>>
>>47229822
>implying we'll ever reach post-spark
>>
>>47229823
Given the Wall was created by Myrkul long before the Time of Troubles (which was when Ao changed the rules so that the gods required worshippers), I don't buy it.
>>
Can anyone suggest what would be the best order in which to take the DnD jumps if one is going for max power?
>>
>>47229865
Myrkul did it because he's Myrkul. He's a dick. He doesn't really need a reason.
That's not to say there might not have been a reason. Myrkul was enough of a cockbag that he could have planned something like that. But he was also enough of a cockbag that he might've done it for shits and giggles.
Myrkul was kindof an ass like that.

But regardless of what he intended, the wall eventually did have a use ascribed to it after the Time of Troubles, regardless of the fact that it wasn't its original intended use.
It was suddenly useful, and that's all that mattered to the gods.
>>
>>47229904
Despite allowing it to exist being a violation of all the good gods' alignments. I wonder how many paladins gave their gods the spiritual middle finger on that day.

Is there even such a thing as "max power" in D&D, besides DM fiat?
>>
>>47229874
Doesn't it not really matter what order you take things in?
As in, [A,B,C] == [C,A,B]?
Still, choosing something high-powered as your race/buying higher class levels to start with in FR will probably give you the best odds at survival out of them all.

>>47229957
It's getting there. Still have to stat up my custom Battle Maid (because /of course/ it's a battle maid) and the rival player.
Also finish writing out the powers of the Void Regalia Set (Divine Tier Equipment).
Looking forward to being Momonga's spy master or something, I should re-watch some of it to remind myself what happens.

>>
>>47229822
Sure beats Eberron's. If you're not part the Silver Flame, your soul ends up in Dolurrh (realm of the dead) where you become so depressed you give up on existing. Almost everyone ends up here, there's no comfy afterlife besides sacrificing your soul to Silver Flame. Should you do that your soul will be used as fuel to keep the Silver Flame going.
>>
>>47230212
The light novels are better and give you more details.
Also you could fanwank your Battle Maid as the leader of the Pleiades most likely (Or someone equal to Sebastian who is the buttler.....heh its amusing).

But yeah I think you and Demiurge are very likely to work together sneaking about (Despite his....rather evil acts and great cunning he is a rather loyal person and smart enough that you can call him a true Chessmaster who makes some damn fine Xanatos gambits if need be, in contrast Momonga is better at short-term planning....also willing to work on his flaws to be a better ruler if need be).
>>
>>47229484
Can I just get a head start on being a cleric of Jump-Chan?

>>
>>47231028

>>
>>47231040

>>
>>47230987
>>47231028
Could you just be a cleric of yourself? Benefactor is more like Ao, she gives you powers in much same way that Ao gave the Faerun Deities their divine portfolios. There's also Ur-Priest whom get cleric spells without having a deity.
>>
>>47231092
But I don't believe in myself. I believe in she who believes in me.
>>
>>47231092
Not in Faerun. The gods there block people from being able to devote themselves to anything but them.
>>
>>47231092
You can't be a cleric of yourself.

You gonna want to be really phenomenally careful to not get found out if you decide to be a Ur-priest. I'm not sure what you could do to anger the gods and their followers more than that.
>>
>>47231143
Not Many, but what if I'm a Draconic Pseudo-Deity from an earlier d&d prestige class? Those explicitly do get to grant divine spellcasting to their worshippers.

If not, I think I'll go with Ur-Priest too... Screwing over and angering the gods in Faerun is a plus in my book.
>>
>>47231216
That'll make you go blind you know.

Jokes aside, use your discretion in those sorts of circumstances.
>>
>>47231028
Speaking of domains, do they work like 3.X domains or NwN domains? The reason I ask is because Spell Domains are kinda lousy with that item.

Oh, and what happens if you pick an Elemental domain, Good or Evil, or the like without Channel Divinity?
>>

>>
>>47231294

>>
>>47231262
Fair enough, angering literally all the deities by being an Ur-Priest it is.

Wonder if I should start 'corrupting' their worshippers to me too... After all, I might not be able to fuel myself, but I /can/ certainly stand in for any gods they forsake.

>>47231294
Pretty sure only Ao's anywhere close to omnipotent, and he doesn't give a shit.
>>
Got a question is Faerun is a place/location on the same planet as the rest of the lore or are they on a different plane all together?
>>
>>47231321
Faerun's one setting/plane of D&D, with Neverwinter Nights in there too.

All the other D&D jumps are different planes entirely.
>>
>>47231271
I'm not recalling any significant difference in the handling of domains, but it has now been some time since I played the games last. Mind specifying what you mean?

You get some extra spells.
>>
>>47231332
Thanks
>>
>>47231271
>>47231356
Now that I think about it, none of them are even dependent on already having channel. They grant new channel abilities.
>>
>>47231356
Well, in 3.X you get one spell per level, in NwN you get three to five total. Also, in 3.X each domain has a power - e.g., healing boosts your healing spells, trickery gives you new class skills, magic lets you use magic devices. In NwN, some domains give you different powers (trickery is a direct boost to those skills) and some don't give you any (they just give you five spells)
>>
>>47231332
Now, Jumpchan willing and eager to watch you suffer/explore, I have a vague recollection of different iterations of the Great Wheel being connected through the vast and unfathomable spoke that is the Plane of Shadows. Like DC Universe #s.
